Fantastic food and authentic atmosphere! I loved my visit to this restaurant! The food was fresh, tasty and authentic – the souvlaki in particular was an absolute highlight. The portions were generous and the ingredients were of great quality. The atmosphere is cozy, with loving details in the decoration. The service was friendly, attentive and ensured that we felt completely comfortable. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Greek cuisine or wants to experience it. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The food was really good. We all had fish dishes. The portions were large and sufficient. Before the meal there was salad and bread and at the end an ouzo. I have visited the restaurant several times and will continue to do so.

It was a successful birthday party at El Greco in Avenwedde-Bahnhof. Our experience shows that the restaurant impresses with both service and ambience. Here is a short summary for others who are interested: Service: Attentive and polite service, quick organization (e.g. champagne reception). Decoration: Lovingly designed table. Food: Satisfaction from all guests, including vegetarian options. Price: Reasonable, around €25 per person (excluding drinks). Recommendation: table reservations, especially on public holidays. Extras: Beautiful garden area, usable even in winter. Accessibility: Sufficient parking spaces, good connections to public transport. - Gladly again.

I'm in transit. I found the restaurant quite by chance. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed like a guest. The food came very quickly and was excellent. The service actually deserves 10 🌟. And the best: I ordered a little extra and didn't find it on the bill. Our Greek in Westerkappeln has to control himself so that he doesn't charge anything extra for "good day" and "goodbye". I felt very comfortable here!!!! Thanks!!!

Coming from Greece, I am always very skeptical about greek restaurants abroad. More than one people recommended me El Greco and the restaurant honestly exceeded the expectations. Great ambiance, very friendly owners, great service, but most importantly great food. The taste, the quality, everything! All in all a very positive and highly recommended experience!

Nicely decorated restaurant. You immediately feel at home. The winter garden is also beautiful. Typical Greek menu, unfortunately the meat was absolutely dry and not really tasty. Portion size was okay. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very friendly either. When we asked if we could take the food with us, an empty box was placed in front of us and we were able to fill it in ourselves.

It was actually quite ok, but the restaurant has a good reputation. However, I wasn't quite as satisfied. The wrong drinks were brought (red instead of white wine, non-alcoholic shandy instead of beer). Positively, they were exchanged immediately without any ifs or buts. Still, that shouldn't happen. I wasn't that thrilled with my meat dish (Gyros not crispy, a bit bland, Suflaki dry), but my other companions were very happy. Maybe it was just a bad day, as the reputation is actually pretty good. But I'll go again, let's see.

We recently celebrated our daughter's baptism at this wonderful restaurant and absolutely loved it! From start to finish everything was perfect. The decoration was loving and stylish, which perfectly underlined the festive atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and professional - we felt well looked after. The food was a highlight of the day: every course was a culinary masterpiece, superbly presented and deliciously prepared. We were particularly impressed by the variety of dishes on offer, which also offered a great selection for our vegetarian guests. The quality and taste of the food was simply first class. The organization and planning of the celebration also went smoothly. The team was extremely flexible and responded to all of our wishes and needs. Our guests have consistently commented positively on the ambience and service. Spontaneously got a table with 3 people without a reservation. Although El Greco is always well attended, we were lucky today. The food is excellent in Greek style. Well, today the cook was very in love and meant too well with the salt. 🤣 But maybe I'm just very sensitive because I hardly consume any salt. Typically Greek, first came a salad, bread with dip. Afterwards I had lamb in red wine raisin sauce with heart-shaped mixed rice. I thankfully skipped the baked potato. Otherwise the dish would look even better. So it couldn't hurt. The waitresses were prompt and asked several times how we were. All in all, full star landing. This will certainly not be the last visit and we will stop by more often. Anyone who likes Greek is definitely well advised here. 💕

A really great restaurant. Delicious. I particularly like the large terrace where you can sit very comfortably. I think they're very well done. You can go there as a group, but you can also go there alone. The selection of food is large and everything I have eaten there has been great. For the price you expect a little more on your plate. Otherwise tastes good. Service is nice. Unfortunately we had to wait 45 minutes until the bill was paid.

Wonderful ambience with great service! The waiters are attentive and responded to our requests without further ado. The shop was full and the food arrived after about 20-30 minutes. Everything was very impressive, especially the starter plate was impressive with its diversity and is really a must. For the main course, my husband had the fillet platter and I had the 6-course dish. We were impressed and found our new local restaurant.

It was a wonderful evening, the food was, as always, delicious. The meat is grilled to perfection. The service was super friendly and quick.

An evening for two. Clean, comfortably furnished restaurant that has a large terrace in summer and autumn. This time we were inside. Black and white pictures on the walls and neutral colors invite you to relax. Polite and well-informed service. Good wines. Spicy, juicy meat. We ended up staying for coffee and desert because we were so down there. Can only recommend the Greek mocha! Just an enjoyable evening.

Super leckeres Essen Tolle Atmosphäre 1a Personal + Service

Es war einfach toll. Seit 25 Jahren in Avenwedde, das spricht Bände.

Waren das erste Mal vor Ort,hatten vorher zu Corona Zeiten den Lieferservice genutzt. Der war gut. Heute mal im Restaurant, trotz vollem Haus,Essen gut 👍 die Fleischgerichte hätten fürs Auge noch ein wenig besser dekoriert werden können (Salatblatt, Olive...oder so).Dafür war die Mezeplatte der Hammer. Sehr ansprechend angerichtet, wie man auf dem Bild sieht. Wir kommen gerne wieder und wollen die örtliche Gastronomie unterstützen .

Jedes Mal wenn ich da war, war das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, das Essen sehr lecker, vor allem die Vorspeisen und die Portionen sind so wie sie sein sollten. Sehr lecker und empfehlenswert!

Auch wenn die Inneneinrichtung sehr schön ist und das Ambiente zu leckerem Essen einlädt, musste ich leider feststellen, dass sowohl Beilagensalat Und Fleisch deutlich Zu viel Salz hatten. Der Beilagensalat ist irgendwie so ein Hauch von nichts, ein paar Blätter ein, zwei dünne Scheiben, Gurken und ne Sechstel Tomate das Essig Öl Dressing war deutlich versalzen und auch im Geschmack jetzt nicht sonderlich vielfältig. Die Hauptgerichte sind leider alle trocken serviert, wo ich finde, dass es gar nicht geht in der Gastronomie. Man hat einen Grillteller mit Fleisch, trocken, Pommes und einer Mini Eiskugelgröße Reis Und kein Zaziki dazu noch Mayonnaise noch sonstiges. Die Pommes waren geschmacklich auch nicht gerade Sehr kartoffelig Beziehungsweise schmeckten sehr wenig nach überhaupt irgendwas . Und wenn das alles nicht schon genug ist, musste ich echt schlucken, als ich die Preise gesehen hab . knapp 19 € für den Teller, dann fast sieben Euro für Zaziki. (was zur Hölle??) Und dann noch Mayo extra. In welchem amerikanischen wie ziehe ich meine Kunden Ab Business Film haben Sie diese Tricks kopiert? Ich finde einfach, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist grottenschlecht. Es gibt wesentlich bessere Restaurants.. die günstiger sind und das Essen besser schmEckt und auch mehr essen serviert wird!

Guten abend wir waren heute das erste Mal dort aber nie wieder der zaziki schmeckte überhaupt nicht mann hatte noch nicht mal Knoblauch raus geschmeckt ,Salate schmeckten gar nicht waren nur blattsalate und das Hauptgericht war nur versalzen .

Essen, Service und Ambiente waren gut. Jedoch war es extrem laut obwohl nicht alle Tische besetzt waren. ( Schlechte Akustik) preislich OK

Ich habe noch nie so lecker irgendwo griechische Küche gegessen. Super lecker! Vorspeise, Hauptgang und der Wein, alles top❤️ Service aufmerksam, freundlich, schnell. Leider wohne ich nicht um die Ecke und werde nicht so schnell wieder Gast sein.

Es dauerte etwas bis wir die Speisekarte bekommen haben und auch die erste Runde Getränke dauerte etwas. Vor dem Essen gab es für jeden einen kleinen Salat, etwas Brot und ein paar Dips und Peperoni. Das Essen selber war ganz gut, die üblichen Teller, die es in Deutschland beim Griechen halt so gibt. Leider ist die Akustik in den Räumen nicht sehr gut. Es ist sehr laut.

Absurder Abend ! Wir waren zum Essen bei El Grecco in Avenwedde und hatten zunächst eine Vorspeise. Die war wirklich klasse und wir freuten uns auf das Hauptgericht. Dann passierte folgendes: Wir hatten noch Getränke bestellt aber es kam nichts. Mehrfach versucht die Bedienung zu rufen durch Rufen und Winken. Kam aber keiner. Nach 20 Minuten dann per Handy angerufen und vernünftig gefragt, ob die Getränke vergessen worden sind. Kurz danach kam der Chef angestürmt und beschimpfte mich als „asozial“. Man hätte nicht genug Bedienungen und beschimpfte mich erneut als asozial und schlechter Kunde. Ich war völlig konsterniert. Wir sind dann aufgestanden und haben vorzeitig bezahlt. Beleidigen muss ich mich als Kunde sicherlich nicht. Einmal und nie wieder !

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Das Ambiente und der Service waren wirklich gut. Die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte war sehr lecker. Beim Hauptgang war ich enttäuscht. Kein gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Das Lammfleisch war viel zu durch gebraten und teilweise auch schwarz. Die Ofenkartoffel war wässrig und hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Der Beilagensalat bestand aus ein bisschen Blattsalat, einer Tomate und Gurke. Insgesamt habe ich für den Preis was anderes erwartet.

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, für ein griech. Restaurant von der Menge vergleichsweise übersichtlich. Das Zusammenspiel im Service scheint ausbaufähig, 2 von 7 bestellten Speisen wurden vergessen, dann aber in angemessener Zeit nachgeliefert. Das Ambiente im Wintergarten hat mir gut gefallen, im eigentlichen Restaurant sah es sehr gemütlich aus. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten

Top Qualität, sehr lecker und super Service

Wir haben es nach einem ersten Besuch vor einem Jahr leider erst gestern wieder hierher geschafft. Wir sind wiederholt vollständig zufrieden. Gastfreundschaft, Service und Ambiente top, insbesondere das Essen super. Vorspeisenteller für eine Person richtig gut und authentisch, da erinnert man sich gleich an den Sommerurlaub in Griechenland zurück. Auch die weiteren Gerichte sehr gut, die 6 Richtigen in der Kombination schön und mal die was anderes als andere Mixteller. Wir freuen uns, dass wir diesmal bereits in der nächsten Woche wiederkommen können mit dem anderen Teil der Familie und versuchen es zukünftig noch öfters hierher zu kommen😃 Sehr zu empfehlen, weiter so.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden und werden gerne wiederkommen. 7.November 2023: Leider sind wir bei unserem heutigen Besuch sehr enttäuscht worden und daher wird die Bewertung entsprechend geändert. Laut Ihrer Speisekarte wird zu jedem Hauptgericht vorab ein Beilagensalat gereicht. Wir hatten das Gyros-Menü mit includiertem Bauernsalat bestellt und zu diesem Gericht keinen angegebenen Beilagensalat erhalten. Desweiteren weise ich darauf hin, dass Sie die City-for-Two- Karte akzeptieren und somit ist nur das teurere Gericht zu berechnen. Bitte behandeln Sie Gäste, die diese Karte benutzen genauso wie andere Kunden. Wenn Ihnen das nicht gefällt, sollten Sie so fair sein und diese Karte nicht mehr akzeptieren.... Zudem sollten Sie alles, was in der Menübeschreibung angegeben ist auch servieren und das war leider bei unserem Besuch nicht der Fall.

Das ist ein echt schönes und auch großes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und netter Bedienung...Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder 😃

Durchschnittlicher Grieche in allen Belangen wenn man Bock auf griechisch hat wird man dort nicht enttäuscht werden jedoch ist es dort nicht sehr außergewöhnlich jedoch für den Monatlichen Stammtisch, Skatabend o. ä. eine gute Wahl.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen freundlicher Service schönes und gemütliches Ambiente

Mal wieder hier, mal wieder super zufrieden. Zarte Lammhaxe, toller Knoblauchdip, eimalig leckeres Bruchetta auf griech. Art, super Pommes, kostenloser Ouzo, perfekter schneller Service am Samstagabend. Und wo gibt es noch 220g Rumpsteak mit Beilagen für 23,90 €? Im Colon 26.90, Sparrenburg 31,90. Meist liegt uns das Essen beim Griechen schwer im Magen. Hier nicht! Alles schonend ohne zu viel Fett zubereitet. Im Sommer ist die Terrasse auch sehr schön. Immer weiter so! DANKE. Und wer mit Käse überbackene Sachen in Sahne Metaxasauce bestellt, bekommt eben auch ein fettiges Essen. Käse hat Fett und Sahne auch. MICH würde es eher stutzig machen, wenn es nicht fettig wäre.

Das Essen war lecker. Leider habe wir eine Stunde auf das Essen warten müssen. Die Raumakustik ist so schlecht, alles viel zu laut, um sich während der Wartezeit unterhalten zu können
