El Encanto in Nürnberg

Super tasty and very authentic Peruvian restaurant! I immediately felt like I was in Peru again, truly a taste experience! The service was good, friendly and quick! We always enjoy coming here, but unfortunately it's far too rare. We can highly recommend the restaurant because Peruvian compatriots actually come here - that has to be saying something! 😎

The worst Peruvian restaurant I have ever tried, I have been to many Peruvian restaurants and this restaurant has been the worst, first if you want to make a reservation they do not answer the calls, I called the restaurant more than 18 times and they never gave me an answer, so I approached At the restaurant they gave us a table for 2 people, but they didn't serve us, it took them 10 minutes to give us the menu. We ordered 2 glasses of chicha morada, they brought them to us but they didn't have anything sweet, I asked the waitress for a little sugar and it took her approximately 15 minutes to bring it to me. We ordered 2 ceviches, one classic and the other two chili peppers, both ceviches had no flavor and were completely dry without any lemon juice, apart from the fish being very frozen. In the main dish we ordered 2 chicken chili peppers which the rice was very, very horrible, very dry, tasteless, and raw, I think that even a teenager can cook it better, in short, I would not recommend this restaurant because apart from the fact that they have a bad Peruvian chef makes you wait approximately 2 hours so that at the end they deliver you an ugly meal.

I've eaten better. There's a lack of pizzazz in the food. Cappuccino cold, milk sour. The atmosphere doesn't really invite you to linger and it was so cold that I couldn't take off my jacket for dinner. There are no summer temperatures in February. Service could be more attentive!

Very authentic restaurant with a great, unusual menu. In addition, the waiter is very nice and helpful with unfamiliar dishes and ingredients. The allergen table at the end of the menu is also worth mentioning.

The spectacular Lomo Saltado! The Limeña cause is delicious. ! The chicha morada lacked cinnamon and a little more sugar. Otherwise everything is very delicious! We will return to try the ceviche!

Excellent ceviche, very complete service, pleasant atmosphere music, first we ordered ceviche and causa, spectacular. Afterwards we had sautéed loin and ají de gallina, it was very tasty. I recommend it to spend a pleasant night at home. It is the 2nd time I have gone and I would return many times. Greetings .

Peruvian cuisine is an interesting experience that is worth it. The service is quick and competent. Food is good, value for money is still okay.

First time eating Peruvian food. We had someone with us who knows Peruvian cuisine. Authentic. Delicious. There was also ceviche, yucca, main course and dessert. Very nice and friendly service. 👍👍👍🥰 - come back.

Very tasty dishes that taste very reminiscent of South America. The ambience is simple but enough, with soft Andean music playing in the background. Very nice young service - we would like to come back because it was a tasty evening. Highly recommend ceviche

Solid food, unfortunately there is a lack of atmosphere here. The light was rather cold and uncomfortable and even though there were other guests there at the beginning, it felt like none of them were talking to each other. Unfortunately it was rather uncomfortable. I would recommend revising the lighting concept and making the restaurant a little more colorful and friendly. The staff was very friendly (I think it is) and the cassava fries were something different, which is why it's a shame that I can only give 3 stars. :/

This evening we swapped Franconian cuisine for Peruvian delicacies and were rewarded with very tasty food! Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed, which led to a few misunderstandings. Ok, it can happen - we were able to thoroughly enjoy the delicious food!

Das Essen war lecker, vor allem die peruanische Pommes war eine willkommene Abwechslung. Leider waren die Vorspeisen sehr üppig (und etwas salzig), sodass wir nach der Vorspeise schon halb satt waren. Hier wäre es besser gewesen, wenn die Vorspeisen als „für kleinen Hunger“ o.Ä. gekennzeichnet gewesen wären. Auch war die Ambiente etwas steril und nicht gemütlich, lag vermutlich an dem Licht.

Schönes ruhiges peruanisches Restaurant in der Innenstadt von Nürnberg. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und bietet eine gute Auswahl an Speisen. Preise sind in Ordnung. Der Service war in Ordnung.

Genjal. Sehr freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal, sehr guter Service. Das Restaurant ist ansprechend eingerichtet. Das Essen ist ein Gedicht. Wir kamen das zweite Mal extra vom Ammersee hierher und werden wiederkommen. Kann man nur empfehlen. Genjal. El Personal esta muy amable y el Service esta muy bien. La Comida estaba espectular fuimos extra del Lago Ammersee para disfrutar la Comida y volvemos, es seguro. Que tienen mucha Suerte y Exito.

I really enjoyed my experience at El Encanto. The food was delicious! I lived in Peru for a bit and this food is everything I hoped for when reminiscing about the cuisine. José and his staff are great and complete the experience. Would recommend!

Super leckeres und mal ein ganz anderes Essen!! Ebenso die Getränke!

I should admit that we had a high expectation, since review were very high and it is a Peruvian place. From starter, main meals, to drinks, 2 paid 70€. Since there are many great comparable places with similar budget, we would have wished more wow moment. We tried spicy ceviche but it was not the matching taste for us - it felt a lot more sour than the ceviches we tried before. Some of the dishes were quite salty and felt a little plain in taste. The fried Yucca was very tasty. Perhaps still good for the people who wanna try Peruvian food. Air felt a little bit stuffed too. The two things that we felt great about were the friendly service and the pisco sour!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, ging auf jeden Wunsch ein und wir wurden hervorragend beraten. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist klein aber fein. Wirklich sehr begeistert war ich von dem leckeren Saft aus violettem Mais, Limette und Zimt mit Rohrzucker. Aber auch das Essen war sehr interessant und lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

Geschmack: Vorspeise Ceviche Clasico geschmacklich sehr gut, jedoch mittelscharf bestellt. Eine andere Person hatte die Variante Ceviche Dos Ajies, die als (scharf) deklariert ist. Meine mittelscharfe Version war mindestens genau so scharf. Für mich noch okay aber ein sensibler Gaumen hätte Probleme bekommen. Hauptspeise Quinotto gut. Mir hat aber was gefehlt. Koriander z. B. war geschmacklich gar nicht vorhanden. Das hat dann dazu geführt, dass es mehr oder weniger eine Art Risotto war, wie man es oft bekommt. Nachspeise Queque de Algarrobina: gut bis sehr gut. Vor allem das Eis hat es mir angetan. Ambiente: Für einen Imbiss okay, für ein Restaurant etwas zu kühl/steril. Die Platzdeckchen aus Holz neigen zum Klappern, was nervig sein kann. Service: Total nett, auch wenn bei der einen oder anderen Sache eine kleine Unsicherheit hinsichtlich der Produkte auf der Karte herrschte. Fazit: Es war okay aber ich habe mir geschmacklich mehr Tiefe erwartet.

Essen wahr sehr gut, nicht allzu abenteuerlich für den europäischen Gaumen. Portionen reichlich, aber die Atmosphäre könnte ruhig etwas landestypischer oder überhaupt iwie ausgeprägter sein. Recht karg eingerichtet. Wohlfühlen eher schwierig.

Eine absolute Empfehlung! Sehr leckeres Essen und überaus freundlicher Service! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Our first experience dining in Nurnberg could not be better! Delicious food and very nice people working there who did not mind we didn't speak German. We had some fried fish and mandioca fries that my partner who is from South America said were like homemade. And also quisotto, very nice vegetarian risotto only with quinoa. We highly recommed!

Das Lokal ist in der Nähe der Burg - unweit vom Hauptmarkt. Es ist ganz interessant zum Ausprobieren - vor allem die Yuka-Stäbchen (Art gebratener Kartoffeln). Kleine Steaks und Fisch waren gewöhnlich gewürzt - hier hätten wir mehr erwartet. Die Pommes waren für unseren Geschmack zu gross und nicht knusprig. Der argentinische Wein ist allerdings ein Geheimtipp auf der Speisekarte! Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war es leider zu teuer.

Sehr interessante Speisen, die in unserer Region eher selten anzutreffen sind. Hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fantastisches peruanisches Essen, liebevoll zubereitet. Die Vorspeise Yuca und die Nummer 11, ein Quinoa-Risotto, sind absolut zu empfehlen.

Sehr lecker haben uns quer durch die überschaubare Karte gegessen. War alles sehr lecker. Obwohl wir echt satt waren, haben wir uns noch den Nachtisch gegönnt. Traumhaft.

Επισκεφθηκαμε το εστιατοριο ενα βραδυ καθημερινης μερας, κατοπιν κρατησης. Το περβαλλον οικειο και η εξυπηρετηση φιλικη. Δοκιμασαμε συνταγες με ψαρι, κοτοπουλο και χοιρινο. Ηταν πεντανοστιμα. Τελειωσαμε με επιδορπια. Οι μεριδες ηταν πολυ καλες και οι τιμες λογικες. Αξιζει γ επισκεψη σε αυτο.

Wir waren zu dritt und das erste mal peruanisch essen. Wir wussten nicht genau was uns erwartet und wurden mehr als positiv überrascht. Alle 3 Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte waren sehr. sehr gut. Der Chefkoch bleibt seiner Philosophie treu und verwendet frische und gute Zutaten, das schmeckt man. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Wir fanden nur das Ambiente etwas kühl.

Absolutely worth a visit for something completely different. Start off with a Peruvian cocktail. The cuisine is new to me, but it was really delicious and fresh. The Cerviche was very tasty. Nice easy drinking wines on offer. Note that only cash is accepted.

Immer wenn wir in Nürnberg sind besuchen wir das El Encanto. Das Essen im El Encanto erinnert uns jedes Mal an Peru und zeigt uns immer wieder warum die Küche des Landes so besonders ist. Die Geschmäcker in den Speisen spiegeln die ganze Vielfalt und Abwechslung in der peruanischen Küche wieder und erfreuen uns bei jedem Besuch. Danke für dieses Erlebnis

War heute mit einem Freund dort zu essen. Er hatte ceviche, ich das Hühnchen. Sehr gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Absolut zu empfehlen wenn man mal etwas anderes möchte. Einziger Nachteil: der Raum ist etwas hellhörig

Bei der Bewertung der Speisen verweise ich auf Bewertungen oben. Also, geschmacklich ist da viel Platz nach oben. Ein "no go": Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich; hm, ich mag ja Bargeld---aber, was soll das denn bitte. Überall auf der Welt bezahle ich mit Karte. Ein --absolutes--"no go": Ich bekomme zu meinem Rotwein kein Leitungswasser, vor allem mit der Begründung: "Da verdiene ich nichts dran" Na ja, jetzt hat er auch nichts verdient. Mineralwasser habe ich ja auch nicht bestellt zu meinem Wein---und das erste Mal in meinem Leben, gab es dann auch keinen Cent Trinkgeld---und--mit meinen vielen Gästen die ich hier in Nürnberg habe, werde ich das Lokal niemehr betreten--zumal, wie oben erwähnt, das Essen tatsächlich nicht besonders schmackhaft ist.Zum großen Glück gibt es viele sehr gute---kundenfreundliche Lokale in unserer schönen Stadt.

Wer es gerne scharf mag, ist hier genau richtig. Schweinefilet auf den Punkt gegart. Service sehr nett. Preislich moderat. Empfehlenswert.

Wir sind an einem Samstagabend zum El Encanto. Hatten noch Glück, dass ein Platz frei war. Am besten immer reservieren. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen und die Speisen waren sehr lecker. Vor allem die Saucen haben uns besonders gut zu unserem Fleisch/Fisch geschmeckt. Jederzeit wieder!

We arrived late, just 30 minutes before kitchen should close, however no problem. courses seem to be authentic and for sure the quality of the food we got was high, very deliciois food fitting well to the small but tasteful decorated restaurant. If you are tired of the many touristic restsurants with main stream food and bad manners I can surely recommend you to visit this restaurant for a relaxing dinner

Great intense flavors, the ceviche was great and the Gallina al Aji was delicious too, like seriously good, the ingredients look normal but the result was surprising. The pisco sour was small but also tasty and with a punch hehehe.

The Cheviche was great although I have never seen it served as a main, so there was too much! Some of the meat skewers were only just hot enough as well!

Das Ambiente ist nicht sehr ansprechend. Die Chicha Morada ist sehr fein auch der Pisco und die Yuca frita. Die Causa ist fade nur Hühnchen mit Kartoffelbrei keine Avocado kein Ei und wie gesagt fast geschmacklos.Ceviche war ok. Bei drei angebotenen Desserts auf der Speisekarte gab es nur 2 und die hatten auch noch Luft nach oben. Mein Fazit leider nur mittelmäßig

The food is so delicious! The staff so friendly. My advice to the restaurant is to make it more visible, for exemple with some lights outside on the windows, a board...I was passing by without paying attention that it's a restaurant actually!

We went this week to celebrate our anniversary, the food was delicious (you must try the ceviche and the lomo saltado) I highly recommend it!! They also have a selection of Pisco cocktails that were delicious as well

This restaurant is a "must" for us in Nuremberg! At first I didn't know what to expect from Peruvian food, but the food and drinks here are hands down delicious. Portions are a good size - not too big but definitely enough for a proper meal. Try the cilantro chicken and rice, ceviche, and pisco sour or pisco-pineapple cocktails :)

Nuremberg has dozens of restaurants which offer local dishes so this is a very exotic venue just 100 m south of the Castle. Reservation is highly recommended because it is often quite full. I had the chicken as appetizer and the cheviche as main and both tasted pretty well, were fast on the table and not too expensive (do not compare with 6 Nürnberger with Kraut). The decor is a bit bland, due to that it can get a bit noisy. Only minor point is that there was only one peruvian red wine on the menu and that was out. So if you are looking for something special to vitalize your taste buds, that´s it.

We searched for something original, 'authentic' in some way, so Peruvian restaurant seemed to fit this criterion.. Went there twice, as after the first visit were absolutely excited! Food is just excellent: home-made Gnocchi are especially great, different kinds of sauce, even the waz food is served. The main impression from the second visit became egg pudding. Service - very quick and friendly; menu is in German and in English as well, that was very convenient. Visit is possible only by the reservation, what makes sense though, as the restaurant was full both times we were there. And I can say, this restaurant is definitely excellent value for money.

Hello everybody, I'm peruvian travelling in Europe. I love peruvian food, and What I found at "El Encanto" it is, as good as, the best peruvian restarurants in Lima. It is really worth the effort they make to prepare dishes as "El Encanto" does, considering the ingredients can not be easily found in Germany..... The taste is comparable to the best restaurants in Peru. My favorite was cebiche "tres ajíes" or "Saltado" Congratulations to "El Encanto", you created a "small" Mistura (perunvian food conquest, celebrated each year in Lima) middle in Germany. Being far away from your home country is not easy due to many reasons... one of them is the food... in Peru I was used to tasty and varied dishes... and I can tell that El Encanto has done a great job!! I am kind of demanding when it comes to the traditional food of my country... and I was happily surprised by the very good taste of the dishes (I love ceviche, lomo saltado, anticuchos, etc.)... I felt like at home, no joke!! And that's difficult to achieve. If you're looking for good, real Peruvian food, this is the place! Yes, it is not cheap and I would love to have a bit more served on my dish (it tastes good and I eat more than the average person). Furthermore, understandably, many of other great Peruvian dishes are not on the menu... However, I've been there several times and I can tell you that the dishes they offer are of high quality, really well-prepared and served. It is well worth it, specially when you are so far away from Peru.

I walked past this restaurant during the day and was intrigued so i decided to meet an old friend there so we both can catch up and try something new. We entered the restaurant it had two areas and it was busy so we thought a good sign ! we were able to find a table In the smaller adjusted room away from the main room. The waitress very nice but took a while to notice us. We knew the menus was limited as it was outside but thought We would be happy with quality and authenticity rather than quantity of dishes . The waitress took our order for drinks. However the restaurant was busy, it is a Saturday night after all and it took a while to bring them and we proceeded with ordering the starter and main. While we were waiting unable to hold a conversation because there was two groups in the next room and restaurant echoed their noise so badly we couldn't hear each other let alone hold a conversation. The starter and the main meal arrived really quickly. Although the starter was presented nicely the main dish was with rice but no vegetable very heavy sauce presented really badly didn't taste that great, oh what a dissapointment ! Bland, bland, boring food, quantity and quality was simply not there. I couldn't have chosen a worse place for catching up with a friend. It was hard work trying to keep the conversation going without shouting out loud and the food was just very disappointing !

The food was really delicious (had the 14 € menu with a main course and desert). Unfortunately, the plates were a little small for a guy who normally eats a lot, and for what I expected for the price. The other "downside" is that they don't accept card payment under 50 € so make sure to bring enough cash ;) Apart from that they offer simply delicious food and everybody was really happy with what they ordered! I need to come back again soon!

The food and service was top notch! really a rare find amongst the touristy parts of Nurnberg. Downside is they only let you pay with debit card or cc if your order is more than 50€ .

I had a yummy ceviche, but I also tried the steak. You won't be dissapointed, menus were in English and the waitress took time to explain us too.

Like anyone who's visited nuernberg, you've obviously been travelling through Germany and by now have eaten sausage and other local delicacies. So I too was looking for a change and was delighted to find this on tripadvisor. Delicious food and great service. Tried three items...
