Dropped by for a late-night hookah session. The place glows with neon lights, giving off that laid-back lounge vibe. Ordered watermelon mint – smooth and fresh, perfect with their decent cocktails. Service was quick with coals and drinks, no fuss. Crowd was mostly young, dressed to impress, but no one bothered us. Prices were fair for the city. Good spot if you want to unwind with friends and watch the room drift in smoke and beats.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. There were four of us there, and the waitresses were unfriendly. We received a completely wrong order, and they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. The food had very little flavor, and the portions were very small for the price, even for tapas. The interval between dishes was significantly too long (we waited 50 minutes for anchovies). The manager also touched me very strangely twice.

I can't rave enough. It tastes fabulous, the team is super friendly, and everything is just perfect. I absolutely recommend it!

Because of the good review we went to El Bar today, but we're really confused as to how this review came about. The greeting from the waitress was extremely strange, after a "hello" it came straight from where we came from, at first we didn't understand it, but she probably meant who recommended the restaurant to us, NO ONE!!!! I asked if she could recommend a wine, she replied, it's a matter of taste, she is very competent. We ordered various tapas, the best of all was aioli. The bread was just sliced ​​Kaiser rolls, fried squid was cheap ready-made, the mussels in tomato sauce were tasteless from a can, prawns had no taste and were fried only in oil, dates wrapped in bacon were hard and dry, the house wine was inedible. All in all, you can't eat worse, unfortunately not recommended!!!!!

Delicious tapas in a nice atmosphere

All in all a nice place. Sitting on the not exactly comfortable bar stools and the cramped space is a small minus point. When it comes to food selection, there is something for everyone. And a good amount of each tapas. Here, too, a minus point because for me (tastes vary too) one or the other was a little too seasoned.

The owner and the staff are simply great. Very attentive even in busy traffic. I recommend reserving a table. In the summer there are beer benches set up, so if the table isn't full you can quickly get into conversation with others. The food is top. I can't compromise and have eaten there myself 4 times. 100% recommendation!

Went to El Bar for the first time yesterday and we had a great evening. Very friendly welcome and super cozy. As is usual in Spain, some tapas are on the counter for you to examine; the warm tapas come fresh and hot from the kitchen. Very fair prices. I'll be back!

What a fantastic discovery! This little tapas place really impressed me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic date. The selection of tapas is simply incredible - from classic favorites to creative new creations, there's something to suit every taste. But the real highlight was the service staff. Not only were they professional and attentive, but they were also extremely friendly and welcoming. Her recommendations were spot on and really made our evening special. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning again soon!

Neighbors have already described that the landlord is not exactly friendly. However, the other staff doesn't seem to be any better! It wasn't even about the food, but I was parked in my car by a kitchen worker (?) because she couldn't find a parking space and just stood in the second row in front of my car! Loud honking didn't help either. Only when a passer-by came by was she able to tell me who the car belonged to. Knocked on the kitchen window of the restaurant and said she had to move her car. When I "pointed out" that despite the lack of parking space, you can't just park a car in front of someone in such a way that you are prevented from pulling out, the lady felt she was in the right despite being wrong and even threatened me in an anti-social way! Long story short: you will never see me in a restaurant with such unfriendly staff! This "business card" is too miserable for me... UPDATE DUE TO OWNER'S REPLY: 1. Yes, I have never been a guest there and after the parking experience I never will be!!! 2. To unload in the 2nd row? Loading and unloading takes a maximum of 3 minutes. I honked like crazy to get attention. The kitchen help was already working in the kitchen and was not unloading. According to her statement, she didn't hear the repeated continuous honking because of the ventilation in the kitchen (you usually use it when cooking!?)!!! 3. There was no “sorry” at all. There is also a witness who was indignant when I pointed out that you can't just park someone: "Now slow down, otherwise it will rattle!" Which is Nuremberg dialect and is a threat of a physical attack that would otherwise follow!!! 4. If that wasn't rude, what is really rude about them??? 5. Permanent parking in the 2nd row is not permitted according to the StVO. If you park in the second row, you are generally acting in a traffic violation. A simple violation is punished with a fine of 55 euros. If you have a disability, the fine increases to 80 euros and one point!!! 6. I would probably have honked my fingers sore if a passer-by hadn't appeared who recognized the car. The lady who was also outraged about it. Otherwise, my only option would have been to call the police to get out of the parking lot! 7. I know they've already lost a regular after insulting him.

The two of us had dinner there on a Saturday evening. When we came into the restaurant around 7 p.m., we were basically the only guests and there was a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the room. The service was nice and courteous. We ordered many different tapas, some of which were very tasty, but some of which were not particularly fresh. The drinks are inexpensive, cocktails are very strong and taste okay. The restaurant can be recommended for a cozy evening, but if you are looking for the best tapas in Nuremberg you should choose another restaurant.

In the middle of Johannis, where God knows there are already a lot of restaurants, the "El Bar" has been established for a long time and offers something special: Tapas, good wines and friendly, attentive service. If you just decide to go for a wine in the evening and eat something small, you're in the best place if you love perfectly seasoned tapas, always freshly prepared and unspectacular. There is a "small menu" at every table that contains all the dishes and you just simply draw a line. You can choose the cold tapas from the display case, they are all very tasty! The service is fast, the location is simple with a good Spanish color, the cold and warm tapas are extremely well made. In many visits we have never found anything that didn't have a very special touch. And, there is always something new! However, if you expect a high-class restaurant, you haven't done enough research. For the appearance of this little oasis, the price-performance ratio is fantastic and can no longer be found so easily! The young, likeable host couple and very friendly, committed helpers do their best and look after the guests with warmth inside and out. It should also be mentioned that - as usual in the south - you can order tap water with wine and food, which is not common in some arrogant "restaurants" in Nuremberg. Read other posts that are currently not recommended

The only drawback is that there are not so many “normal” tables with chairs but rather high tables with bar stools. And you could also leave out the television. Otherwise very comfortable

Small tapas bar with good food and very friendly service.

Maybe I just went with too high expectations because of the many very positive reports. The service was, as often described here, really very friendly. The tapas varied in quality. Excellent chicken, good chorizo, boring dough rolls. The ambience and especially the music playing from the TV wasn't really my thing, but that's of course a very personal taste.

Authentischer Spanier mit paar Tischen vor der Tür im Sommer. Tapasauswahl sehr groß und allesamt sehr lecker zubereitet. Preislich für Tapas definitiv in Ordnung, eher günstig. Kellner mit Humor und jeder Menge Freundlichkeit.

Ich gebe nicht oft eine Bewertung ab, aber in diesem Falle muss ich das.. Alles was wir bestellt haben war sehr lecker! Wirklich hervorragend und authentisch. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen 🙏😊

Wir waren gestern das erste mal in der El Bar zum Essen und waren sehr begeistert. Die Tapas wind super lecker und preislich total im Rahmen. Die Bedienungen waren stets freundlich und aufmerksam, sowie die Location war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir kommen wieder! Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: das Aioli war ein Ticken zu salzig, hier würde ich das Salz unbedingt reduzieren

Tapas Bar, die sich wirklich authentisch anfühlt; manchmal sogar mit Live Musik. Es gibt - Überraschung - Tapas, warm wie kalt, und auch spanisches Bier. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, die Preise sind sehr in Ordnung!

Ich muss sagen als ich rein gekommen bin war ich mir etwas unsicher weil es eher nach einer Bar als nach einem Restaurant aussieht (sagt ja schon der Name) aber ich war begeistert von dem Essen. Großes Lob an die Küche. Die Bedienung war Top. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir waren insgesamt 8 Leute und es wurden extra Tische für uns zusammen geschoben. Es war alles unfassbar lecker, die Preise sind absolut fair und der Abend dort war in dem Ambiente sehr schön.
