El Amigo Taqueria in Berlin

As a Parisian visiting Berlin, this taqueria allowed me to extend my trip all the way to Mexico. The menu is original and the tacos are delicious, especially the Al Pastor. There are plenty of vegetarian options, which complement the menu. The service is warm and the place is friendly; thanks again to Baruc and José for their hospitality!

It was a bit cold, even sitting inside. But on a warm day this place must be amazing. Food and service were certainly great. I particularly liked the birria and pastor tacos. I also recommend the agua de jamaica (a sort of hibiscus iced tea). I’ll come back in summer!

After trying the delicious tacos we came across while walking through the streets of Berlin, we decided that they were the most delicious snack we had during our Berlin trip. Muchas gracias señoras

The tacos were very good, and if you ask for cheese on top, it's extra good. I didn't really like the mango frozen margarita; it was like puree, and I didn't taste any alcohol. We sat inside, but frankly, there weren't enough heaters, and I got a bit cold. It might be more enjoyable to go here when the weather is nice and sit outside. The plates they served the food were very small, had plenty of ingredients, and tasted really good, but I couldn't enjoy it because of the conditions.

The Service was friendly and the food authentic but the sauce was lacking flavor for my taste. Also they use whole wheat Tacos. Which in my opinion really messed with the overall taste. Tiny tip: be very careful with the spice. Its actually spicy. Learned that the hard way. Haha

If you're Mexican, or from anywhere in Latin America, and you're looking for food that's actually good and flavorful, this is definitely the place for you. You have to try these tacos. As a Mexican who was missing good food and found that nothing here had any flavor, these tacos were my salvation. I recommend the birria and al pastor tacos; they're delicious.

Stopped by during the week, the tacos were nice, authentic compared to other taco places Ive been to so far in Berlin. The staff are nice. My tacos were quite dry, afterwards I thought I probably missed asking for sauces or toppings not sure. I will be back again.

Honestly, the place is really cool, but the tacos I got were terrible: cold, with a hard tortilla, and lacking the authentic flavor of a Mexican taco. I'm not hating, I'm just sharing what I experienced. Also, something I noticed is that the owners don't seem to accept negative reviews. If they check the bad reviews, they always respond by attacking instead of humbly handling them. I went because the place is very well-known, but when you look at the reviews, you realize most of them aren't from Mexicans. As a Mexican, I can say the food isn't authentic, and the service wasn't the best either. I understand that it's hard work, but attitude and treatment also matter.

The tacos were delicious. I tried all four vegetarian tacos (with cheese), but there's a vegan option without cheese. This is relatively hard to find at other restaurants, where there are only one or two vegetarian options at most. 🤍🌱 Personally, tacos 9 (Zuchini) and 10 (Mushrooms) were my favorites 🌈 The atmosphere is super relaxed, they're very friendly, and I was able to bring my dog ​​in without any problems. I'll definitely be back. ⭐️

Amazing food, amazing people, amazing drinks, everything gluten-free: heaven. Very friendly and welcoming staff who are very glad to help you and tell you about the food in plenty of languages. My favourite was the pulled jackfruit taco, so good.

Great tacos, very tasty and juicy, also very much furnished. Definitely worth the price and the wait. You better enjoy these simple and not pretentious places to other ones that sell you candy for the eyes (or the gram) but where you are always disappointed. Service is also extremely kind. I ordered the chorizo tacos and baby quesadilla. The chorizo taco is out of this world, so flavoursome. If you can handle the heat, the addition of the extra hot sauce completely elevates it. The frozen margaritas are also delicious. Would highly recommend.

Kinda dry, definitely not as good as El Oso

We came on a rainy day and the tacos were delicious. There are plenty of options, including vegetarian, and the tortillas held up well without falling apart—which I really appreciated since that’s not always the case elsewhere. Personally, I think tacos are best with two tortillas, but many taquerias in Europe only serve them with one. The horchata was good, though I wish the flavor were a bit stronger. Only downsides were that several tables were wet and I didn’t see salsa options. On the plus side, there are plenty of seating choices. Overall, tasty tacos and a solid spot worth visiting! 🌮

This is delicious, a good option for those who live nearby.

The tables are sticky and covered with food leftovers from previous guests. I sat at the stand for an hour and didn't see a single table cleaned. The food tastes good. Restrooms and handwashing facilities are located in another building and are somewhat difficult to reach. Soap and toilet paper were not provided.

Real authentic tacos in a place full of history, what more could you ask for?

Taken as a very loose personal opinion, but as a Mexican who has been eating tacos all my life, these tacos were a gastronomic GEM. Truly great flavour and, best of all, the sauce IS spicy. One of the best finds in Berlin and 100% recommended for everyone.

Best ever. My daughter showed me this somewhat hidden taqueria, and at first I thought nothing good would come out of this junk shop, but I was wrong. Absolutely delicious and juicy tacos. Extremely tasty with exceptionally friendly service, straight from the cart. To go with it, a cold Modelo or Pacifico. It couldn't be better, and I'd happily come back.

I consider the tacos here to be the best in Berlin. I tried numbers 1 to 6 and found them all delicious, robust, and expertly seasoned. With the amazing chili sauce and pickled chilies, which you can help yourself to as much as you like, they're a real treat. And the prices, I think, are just about fair. The lovely staff patiently, friendly, and cheerfully explain everything you want to know. Unfortunately, they only speak English with a few snatches of German, but that's just how it is in Berlin. We capital city dwellers are cosmopolitan after all. Any negatives? The seating is spartan, and the whole place has a pure street food feel. You sit back to back with others, it's cramped and hectic when it's busy. You have to get your drinks from the bar in the back, and sometimes you have to wait patiently for your tacos for a while, but the food is worth it. And of course, it's not easy to eat tacos without making a mistake; you have to be prepared for a bit of a challenge. You just have to like it. But otherwise: If you give this place a bad review, sorry – you're used to Tex-Mex and don't really care for authentic tacos? That's your right, but it's really your own fault. Just get your run-of-the-mill tacos somewhere else. But if you really want the full package and appreciate authenticity, you should go here.

I am Mexican and I was looking for a place to eat delicious food here in Mexico and everything is truly delicious. The birria were my favorites and then the Pastor. The food was really good and I would definitely go back. The price seemed reasonable for 3 tacos and the amount they put in each one, quite delicious and recommended.

A pretty decent taco outlet. The menu and the food was quite authentic but a bit toned down for the german customers. Still, a solid choice if you are in the area or have an extreme cravings for tacos. Still the best I've had in Germany so far. The atmosphere was also fun and the staff were friendly and help you with the choices.

Best Tacos in town… and beyond! We come here whenever we crave for Tacos, literally driving through the whole city. On top, they are always super welcoming and the ambient is as “Berlin” as it gets - in the positive way :)

These tacos are incredible and some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Mexican food is one of my favorite cuisines, but I haven’t had much luck finding any good Mexican food places in Germany. Most Mexican food places in Germany don’t really taste like Mexican food from Mexico. However, the tacos here truly taste like Mexican food. I’m so glad I found this place, this place is truly outstanding! All of the tacos are amazing, but my favorites are the gringa and the al pastor tacos!
