This is delicious, a good option for those who live nearby.

The tables are sticky and covered with food leftovers from previous guests. I sat at the stand for an hour and didn't see a single table cleaned. The food tastes good. Restrooms and handwashing facilities are located in another building and are somewhat difficult to reach. Soap and toilet paper were not provided.

Real authentic tacos in a place full of history, what more could you ask for?

Taken as a very loose personal opinion, but as a Mexican who has been eating tacos all my life, these tacos were a gastronomic GEM. Truly great flavour and, best of all, the sauce IS spicy. One of the best finds in Berlin and 100% recommended for everyone.

Best ever. My daughter showed me this somewhat hidden taqueria, and at first I thought nothing good would come out of this junk shop, but I was wrong. Absolutely delicious and juicy tacos. Extremely tasty with exceptionally friendly service, straight from the cart. To go with it, a cold Modelo or Pacifico. It couldn't be better, and I'd happily come back.

I’ve been to several places in Mexico, and the people at El Amigo have truly brought those flavors to Berlin. The birria was amazing, and so was the delicious Margarita. A perfect spot to relive the Mexican vibe.

Really nice service, very friendly staff, tasty tacos (enough that I would hmmmmm while chewing, just saying), tasty frozen marguerita and a big terrace. ***It’s not an indoor restaurant, it only has seats outside. Right at the entrance of Kino.

I consider the tacos here to be the best in Berlin. I tried numbers 1 to 6 and found them all delicious, robust, and expertly seasoned. With the amazing chili sauce and pickled chilies, which you can help yourself to as much as you like, they're a real treat. And the prices, I think, are just about fair. The lovely staff patiently, friendly, and cheerfully explain everything you want to know. Unfortunately, they only speak English with a few snatches of German, but that's just how it is in Berlin. We capital city dwellers are cosmopolitan after all. Any negatives? The seating is spartan, and the whole place has a pure street food feel. You sit back to back with others, it's cramped and hectic when it's busy. You have to get your drinks from the bar in the back, and sometimes you have to wait patiently for your tacos for a while, but the food is worth it. And of course, it's not easy to eat tacos without making a mistake; you have to be prepared for a bit of a challenge. You just have to like it. But otherwise: If you give this place a bad review, sorry – you're used to Tex-Mex and don't really care for authentic tacos? That's your right, but it's really your own fault. Just get your run-of-the-mill tacos somewhere else. But if you really want the full package and appreciate authenticity, you should go here.

We were there. The food wasn't really Mexican. I was really disappointed.

I am Mexican and I was looking for a place to eat delicious food here in Mexico and everything is truly delicious. The birria were my favorites and then the Pastor. The food was really good and I would definitely go back. The price seemed reasonable for 3 tacos and the amount they put in each one, quite delicious and recommended.

A pretty decent taco outlet. The menu and the food was quite authentic but a bit toned down for the german customers. Still, a solid choice if you are in the area or have an extreme cravings for tacos. Still the best I've had in Germany so far. The atmosphere was also fun and the staff were friendly and help you with the choices.

Best Tacos in town… and beyond! We come here whenever we crave for Tacos, literally driving through the whole city. On top, they are always super welcoming and the ambient is as “Berlin” as it gets - in the positive way :)

These tacos are incredible and some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Mexican food is one of my favorite cuisines, but I haven’t had much luck finding any good Mexican food places in Germany. Most Mexican food places in Germany don’t really taste like Mexican food from Mexico. However, the tacos here truly taste like Mexican food. I’m so glad I found this place, this place is truly outstanding! All of the tacos are amazing, but my favorites are the gringa and the al pastor tacos!

I tried four different tacos and didn't like any of them. The flavors weren't impactful. I specifically asked for no cilantro and extra onions, but they didn't put any onions and there was cilantro. It was the exact opposite of what I asked for.

Very nice and fast service, the food was delicious and the place was very nice and with a lot of space. We ordered different types of tacos, all delicious. For drinks we had very nice margaritas.

Authentic, chill and friendly service!

The tacos are very tasty, but the filling is insufficient, especially considering the price. The michelada is made with tomato juice instead of clamato, and at €3.50 more than the price of beer, the amount of mixed drinks in the glass is unacceptable. The system of collecting drinks from the bar next door is very inefficient. The staff was very friendly, which is always appreciated. But with the variety of tacos available in Berlin, I have no reason to return to El Amigo.

Decent tacos. Really high prices though. Poor selection of Agua Fresca. Rude service at the counter but the guys making the tacos are nice. Certainly get better food and great Agua Fresca for lower prices in San Francisco and Los Angeles; both much more expensive towns than Berlin. Not long ago I could eat well at Rosenthalerplatz for 2€!

Probably the most authentic tacos I've had outside of Mexico. Super friendly staff and really delicious aguas frescas. The Horchata was amazing!

Okay, overall, the experience was good. The food tasted good, the drinks too, and the prices seemed fair. The place is comfortable, with a good atmosphere, and when I went, there was live music, which made the visit much more enjoyable. As a Mexican, I perhaps expected a little more warmth in the service. It wasn't bad at all; I just lacked that warmer, more cheerful touch that one usually associates with these types of places. Still, I recommend it if you're looking for tasty Mexican food and a pleasant atmosphere.

So frikkin good! I'd put El Amigo street tacos up against any I've had in Europe. Loved the Bistec, Pastor, and Birria best. Frozen margaritas were really good too! ¡Auténtica!

Such a great vibe! The laid-back, unique atmosphere is perfect for enjoying amazing tacos. We tried several kinds—each one bursting with bold, authentic flavor. The Birria tacos were especially unforgettable. Easily some of the best street tacos I’ve had in Berlin. Highly recommended!

I'm Mexican, I've been in Europe for several months, and I wanted to try a good taco. This place is perfect for that. Good prices and excellent service, plus there's a very nice park across the street.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Mexican tacos. Everything was freshly prepared. They even serve homemade horchata, a special treat I’ve rarely seen outside of the western hemisphere.

Best Tacos we have tried in Berlin so far🫶🏻🫶🏻

The tacos are spectacular. Especially al pastor and birria, and they only have chilaquiles on Sundays. They forgot our chilaquiles, but they made it happen. Mexican music plays and tables are shaded. You can pay by card or cash. They have horchata (but not tiger nut) and mimosas.

Very good tacos and very good service. We had three orders ahead of us, so we went to get our drinks, and within 1-2 minutes they had our order ready. We made a mistake and ordered a taco that had cheese (my wife doesn't eat cheese), and even though we ordered it, they changed the taco for free. As a Mexican, I recommend it!

The first thing that stands out is the size of the tacos. Three tacos for 11 euros, a Berlin price, so the generous size is appreciated. We tried pastor, birria, campechano, and steak. The first three lacked a bit of seasoning, but the steak was quite good. The tortillas were a bit crunchy, so at times it felt like a cross between a taco and a tostada. What I didn't like at all was the lack of salsas to add to your tacos, which you can find at other places.

The tacos were delicious and the atmosphere in the courtyard is just relaxed 👌🏼

I arrived at the food truck excited to feel a little bit at home: Mexican tacos in the heart of Berlin! We ordered six tacos and a drink; they gave me my ticket (which no one told me was like a turn) and I stood near the outside bar waiting. Ten minutes later, I heard out of the blue that the drinks had to be picked up inside. No one told me, and when I complained, I only got a "yes" with a hollow smile, with no apology or intention of improving. The excitement began to deflate when I noticed the board had just marked the order 13 turns before mine. With more than ten people "working" and the place half empty, it took more than 30 minutes to serve the 13 orders. Nothing like the agility of a traditional taqueria in Mexico. When the tacos were finally delivered, they were crammed onto a tiny plate; after the first bite, everything spilled out. The menu advertised four salsas, but there was only one communal pot, and I had to take turns with another customer who was impatiently waiting to bring it to her table. To top it all off, the prices weren't listed on the menu. I wanted to clean our table because it was sticky; I asked for a cloth and was promised that "someone" would clean it... that "someone" never came. We ended up taking refuge in the slightly less dirty, albeit dusty, interior area. The tortillas were hard, almost Taco Bell-style, and while the taste was "passable," the combination of slow service, disorganization, and a complete lack of attitude left a bad taste in my mouth. With so much Mexican culinary talent around Berlin, this food truck falls far, far short.

Was in Berlin for 3 days, ended up eating here twice. The food is the best Mexican food I have eaten so far. Slightly expensive, but I would still gladly pay more than 11 euros for 3 tacos because of how extraordinarily delicious they were.

The food was good, a little pricey, but worth it for a treat. We had chilaquiles with chorizo and tacos al pastor, both of which were great. The soft drinks are very reasonably priced and very good. The beer was expensive, but also worth it. We found the atmosphere really good, quite lively without being too loud, and there was a jazz group playing from time to time, which was pretty cool. I'll visit again just for the food, to be honest.

Went 4 times, each time I was told the serving time is > hour. One time I waited in line for 20 minutes and the moment I got to order I was told they won't be serving food anymore starting at that moment.l (basically wasting my time and of the others behind me). So far I haven't got the chance to eat there because of the bad service and poor management.

While the food truck is centrally located and nice, everything else seemed overrated to me. 1. We arrived at 4:30 PM on a Sunday, and the three orders of tacos (i.e., nine pieces) took over an hour to come out. That's WAY too long (considering that one or another of the food truck staff was literally doing nothing or eating while they were cooking, even sending WhatsApp messages). 2. When we (finally) received our order, the al pastor tacos were bland. The asada tacos were a bit dry but still good, and the campechanos were delicious. Unfortunately, the tortillas fell apart; they were very greasy at first and then became really hard. 3. The drinks (horchata water, hibiscus water, and pineapple and lemon water) were a disappointment. Truly bland. They have everything you need to succeed. The staff is super friendly and everything, but... we won't be back. I was hoping for at least some good tacos, no matter the price if they're really worth it. But they weren't. Too bad.

Casual atmosphere, authentic tacos, and appropriate music (bangers). We had vegetarian tacos, which were very well-balanced in flavor. The tortillas are full of flavor, and the margaritas were also quite good.

The food is super tasty. The meat was well cooked and adding chili oil was absolutely amazing. Would definitely go again.

Update May 2025: There's a taco stand from El Amigo Taqueria in the KERB Foodhall. I gave it another try, but unfortunately the tacos aren't good. I had al pastor and birria tacos. Unfortunately, they were very dry and rather flavorless. Both tasted almost the same. The salsas also had a neutral flavor. Furthermore, the tacos were very sparsely filled. The tortillas themselves were also hard. The staff is still very nice. 2022 Review: I had very high expectations based on the very good reviews. Unfortunately, these weren't met. The staff are very nice. The birria tacos I ordered were really very small and had very little filling. The price was really unjustified in my opinion. Furthermore, I thought the taste was just okay. It wasn't bad, but a bit boring. I wouldn't visit the food truck again. Addendum to the owner's response: I ate at the food truck in the Sony Center on February 10, 2022. I submitted the review afterward. I didn't take any photos at the time because I was eating during my work break and didn't have my phone with me.

We really liked the tacos, everyone who served was very friendly. It was a bit crowded the day we went, it took a while to get us there but there was a place to sit. It was a very pleasant visit, good musical selection. We would gladly return.

The meat is top. Price is ok to fair. Unfortunately, the sauces are all watery and not tasty compared to if you made them correctly. There was cheese on it but none of them were there. Lots of potential... unfortunately wasted. Too bad.

Food is good. But the service is VERY slow. I waited more than 40 minutes for 3 tacos during non-peak hours. Unbelievable

For the price one would expect the tacos at least to not be one on top of the other one served on a paper plate, the type that they use for a slice of cake at the bakers. It took forever to get them and I’ll never go back. Think a bit about how the food is presented. Put a bit of love to your product.
