Legit taste, but super greasy and very bad quality meat

Heck, I’m allergic to pineapple and I still take their Al Pastor taco with pineapple chutney (and surrender to the rash I get afterwards 😝). I’ve been here at weekends and on weekdays lunchtime + afterwork, and while it does get busy, food comes fast. They’re always so friendly and takes your orders in Spanish, German and English. Along with delicious moreish tacos, they have refreshing aqua fresca/horchata. Great playlist too. I’m so glad these guys are around! P.S. If they did prawn+mango tacos like my Guadalajara experience, they will get a 10/5 from me 😄

All ten! The truck is surrounded by tables where you can sit comfortably and the taste is purely delicious. If you have traveled to Mexico you will know how difficult it is to match the authentic flavor of its food anywhere else in the world and this Truck manages to transport you to the most authentic experience. genuine. Their staff is also very friendly, highly recommended!

A chill space great for catchups with friends over margaritas and yummy juicy tacos. Very easy going space if looking for something relaxed and fun.

Highly recommended! 🫶🏻 I was here last year, but this year it's even more beautiful there. The tacos are so delicious and probably the most authentic in Berlin. A selection of three costs €11 which is absolutely fair. The homemade rice drink with coconut milk is also recommended. A very cozy place in summer. You feel a bit like you're on vacation there. A bar with a good selection of drinks and unusual beers turns the trip there into a little trip to Mexico. Definitely visit.

Loved this place. The birria was insane (it doesn’t come with broth for dipping, but is so juicy I didn’t miss it) and I also enjoyed the al pastor. Beer and margaritas are cash only in the other corner. Atmosphere was calm and lovely - outdoor seating only. The vegan tacos are worth a try.

I actually felt like I was back in Mexico! The incredible food, good ( non alcoholic ) drinks, cool staff, and Mexican taco stand atmosphere combine to make a really fun place to eat. The tacos are absolutely delicious! You can't go wrong coming here if you want true authentic fresh Mexican tacos from several different regions. The home made hot sauces also make for a great way to perfectly adjust for your spice level. I couldn't recommend this place more! LGBTQIA friendly too!

Hey listen! This is a bold claim, but I actually think these guys have the best Birria in Berlin. There’s a certain “funk” that Birria tacos need to have. Most places cook that flavor out of the birria, but these guys walk the line perfectly. I don’t know how to explain this flavor. It’s just a little “funk” that’s a part of the meat, which makes birria tacos taste so delicious. That’s the way they do it in Mexico and most places in Berlin miss that completely. Not these guys! The flavor profile of their birria tacos is flawless. 🙌 They do take a while to prepare your food, but it was worth it. We waited 25 minutes on a busy Saturday afternoon. 3 tacos for 11 euros is a good deal too!

Super loaded tacos - great to mix and share - in a friendly and Berlin style space. Really nice. I loved the ones with pork and cheese melted and blended together like a charm. Delicious also to stop to the other corner for a frozen margarita. Great combo.

It is the first time on a trip outside my country that I have eaten tacos and they tasted like Mexico, the food truck is run by Mexicans and that makes it even more special. The sauces, the meat, the tortillas, the horchata, everything; They managed to bring tears of happiness out of me and for a few moments I felt back in my country. A piece of Mexico well done in Berlin.

Though I'm not a native Californian (like so many other reviewers), I really enjoyed the tacos here. Birria is best, al pastor a close second. Tightly packed benches fill the forecourt of ACUD Kunsthaus, forming a convivial outdoor seating area, complete with lively music and colourful bunting. Disappointingly, Mexican drinks on the menu may not be available because of an arrangement with the bar that shares the space. Helpful, friendly staff.

As a Mexican myself I was very very happy to finally get some tacos in Europa. I’ve been living here for a while and this place really got me back to my roots. The vibe of the place is just like a street taco you can get. The salsas are good, the meat is greaaat, the tortillas are good and they have aguas like horchata and the classics. For Mexicans: go! I now you miss it too For foreigners: also go! It’s the taste from Mexico steet food without the usual food poisoning you get from a Mexican taco on the street

The overall experience is worse than last year. Pastor and chorizo don’t taste like they should, the salsa macha on the counter is literally a container with red oil and barely anything else. The staff is very nice but they used the same gloves to touch fresh food, money and the mariachi hat, while they also picked and ate from the food they were preparing. The tables were all super dirty. Whoever has been in Mexico can tell that this is not authentic. I encourage anyone to compare this place with the competitors nearby and see how little attention El Amigo Taqueria is putting into their food, the location, and almost the details that made this a sad experience. They’re lucky to be in such great spot. It could be an amazing place and has so much potential. I ask the owner to try really much harder.

As a native southern Californian who recently moved to Germany, I’ve really been missing authentic Mexican tacos. My girlfriend and I were passing through Berlin and she found this spot for us to try. All I can say is WOW, my tastebuds were transported right back to LA with these tacos. Friendly staff, great vibes, and incredible food. Will absolutely be back!

I was able to get the veggie tacos to be veganized and my husband got pretty much every taco on the menu. Mine were the mushroom tacos and the veggie chorizo tacos. Very authentic which really surprised us. We’ve been to Mexico City and these taco stood up to what we’ve had there. They were really nice too. Thanks!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I’m here on a trip from New York and stopped in to grab some tacos for lunch. This is such a cute place and the people who worked there were super nice and the food of course was amazing. Everything I had was very flavorful and fresh. The Agua Fresca pineapple was incredibly refreshing for such a hot day as well. Definitely coming back if I’m lucky enough to come back to Berlin.

Food grossly overpriced (€4 for small tacos, absolutely overpriced compared to a kebab) Drinks only available for cash payment. Aperol Spritz is more than excessive at €9.50 and it's not even real Aperol. During the European Championship game between Germany and Spain, the German national anthem was deliberately overtuned with some song. What's wrong with this store? The blonde waitress is also super unfriendly and tries to be extra edgy. Can't recommend the store except for the nice outdoor area.

Fantastic outdoor Taco truck, serving in depth and complete tacos in many flavours, the wait maybe long at times but to me well worth it. The stafff always seem jovial and the location is beautiful.

Never in my life did I think I would be eating such delicious tacos! My husband and his family own Gordo Taqueria in San Francisco, so my standards for tacos are very high, but Amigo Taqueria exceeded all expectations! I had the birria and al pastor tacos which were so incredibly delicious. The flavors were on point and the chili sauce took it to the next level. Also, had the pineapple agua fresca, which was so refreshing on a hot day. You will not be disappointed if you come here and I’ll definitely be back to try more before my time in Berlin is over!

Delicious, but not really worth over an hour wait.

We had a small selection of tacos, both with meat and without. We liked it quite a bit and it was interesting to eat authentic tacos according to reviews. Great for a snack in between, but you have to eat a lot to fill yourself up. But I would basically come again and try my way through the menu further. Surprisingly, I liked the mushroom taco the best. The fact that almost everything was available lactose-free was a big plus.

This ranks in my top taco spots in Berlin. Really solid offerings. I was surprised they had Birria tacos but realized it's not the real stuff. Prices are quite high but you're paying for some solid quality. This place gets 4 taco flavored chef kisses. 😚👌

Fun and lively taco eatery serving the best tacos I’ve had outside of Mexico. Great selection of freshly prepared tacos served out of a food truck. Have been 4 times in the last month and will likely continue doing so.

Oh my God! 🤤 These tacos are heavenly. I haven't been in the "taco scene" long and have visited maybe five different places and tried tacos so far, but this place called El Amigo Taqueria is by far the best!!! This was my third time there and my taste buds confirmed it again - the taste of the taco is something you want to carry around in your mouth for the rest of the day. 🤪 The taco order takers and taco makers are also all friendly and open-minded.

As a native Californian who grew up around incredible taco trucks, these tacos rival the best tacos I’ve ever had. El Amigo Taqueria is the real deal. Completely authentic and mind-blowingly delicious tacos- from the fragrant corn tortillas, perfectly juicy and tender meat, and salsas exploding with flavor to the friendly and enthusiastic cooks. The tacos al pastor are a must eat, as well as the birria tacos. I no longer have to wander around Germany hoping for a restaurant that can scratch the itch of my authentic Mexican food cravings, because El Amigo Taqueria hit the spot. Can’t wait to come back.

Best Food in town 🥰 we loved it!

Visited on a sunny day in April, so might not be as pleasant on colder/wetter days. Long wait for street food, but there was a constant stream of customers so they were quite busy. Well worth the wait when it did come, amazingly good food, bursting with flavour. Staff seemed really nice too.

I discovered this place a while ago and I definitely recommend going here. Their Tacos are amazing and service is incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend getting 3 Birria tacos and then going for a bit of a walk in the park across. It has a good location and is especially splendid in summer.

Definitely totally overrated. Waiting over 30 minutes for three mediocre and pretty pricey tacos works only in Berlin. The birria meat was nice, but that's the only positive. Tacos were too dry and yet soggy due to oily marinades (it's ok for the birria). Really missed a proper salsa. Looking at the old menu on their Homepage, they reduced ingredients and raised prices. Cutting down on the fresh parts doesn't work well with the oily meats. Came with high expectations, left sobered

FEW taco spots worth going to in Berlin —EL AMIGO is one of them. Homemade horchata, birria is on point, and even though I didn't see the 'trompo' for the al pastor, the taste was bomb and the tortillas de maiz just right. Hands down easy recommendation for a taco fix. Owner is from Puebla but the birria is a bit more Jalisco style (my fam is from GDL). Great freshly made salsa also. 👌 5/5
