El Amigo Taqueria in Berlin

The food was good, a little pricey, but worth it for a treat. We had chilaquiles with chorizo and tacos al pastor, both of which were great. The soft drinks are very reasonably priced and very good. The beer was expensive, but also worth it. We found the atmosphere really good, quite lively without being too loud, and there was a jazz group playing from time to time, which was pretty cool. I'll visit again just for the food, to be honest.

Went 4 times, each time I was told the serving time is > hour. One time I waited in line for 20 minutes and the moment I got to order I was told they won't be serving food anymore starting at that moment.l (basically wasting my time and of the others behind me). So far I haven't got the chance to eat there because of the bad service and poor management.

The Birria taco was the best i ever had. The service is really friendly and helpful, definitely a must try

While the food truck is centrally located and nice, everything else seemed overrated to me. 1. We arrived at 4:30 PM on a Sunday, and the three orders of tacos (i.e., nine pieces) took over an hour to come out. That's WAY too long (considering that one or another of the food truck staff was literally doing nothing or eating while they were cooking, even sending WhatsApp messages). 2. When we (finally) received our order, the al pastor tacos were bland. The asada tacos were a bit dry but still good, and the campechanos were delicious. Unfortunately, the tortillas fell apart; they were very greasy at first and then became really hard. 3. The drinks (horchata water, hibiscus water, and pineapple and lemon water) were a disappointment. Truly bland. They have everything you need to succeed. The staff is super friendly and everything, but... we won't be back. I was hoping for at least some good tacos, no matter the price if they're really worth it. But they weren't. Too bad.

Casual atmosphere, authentic tacos, and appropriate music (bangers). We had vegetarian tacos, which were very well-balanced in flavor. The tortillas are full of flavor, and the margaritas were also quite good.

Update May 2025: There's a taco stand from El Amigo Taqueria in the KERB Foodhall. I gave it another try, but unfortunately the tacos aren't good. I had al pastor and birria tacos. Unfortunately, they were very dry and rather flavorless. Both tasted almost the same. The salsas also had a neutral flavor. Furthermore, the tacos were very sparsely filled. The tortillas themselves were also hard. The staff is still very nice. 2022 Review: I had very high expectations based on the very good reviews. Unfortunately, these weren't met. The staff are very nice. The birria tacos I ordered were really very small and had very little filling. The price was really unjustified in my opinion. Furthermore, I thought the taste was just okay. It wasn't bad, but a bit boring. I wouldn't visit the food truck again. Addendum to the owner's response: I ate at the food truck in the Sony Center on February 10, 2022. I submitted the review afterward. I didn't take any photos at the time because I was eating during my work break and didn't have my phone with me.

certainly the best tacos in Berlin - they taste like in Mexico! Just make sure you get what you ordered - since they use names to call out orders, it can sometimes get mixed up. But all in all absolutely recommended!

Unfortunately not worth the 4.8, the meat was tough and everything fell apart in your hand. The taste is okay but not a highlight. Service staff unfriendly.

We really liked the tacos, everyone who served was very friendly. It was a bit crowded the day we went, it took a while to get us there but there was a place to sit. It was a very pleasant visit, good musical selection. We would gladly return.

The meat is top. Price is ok to fair. Unfortunately, the sauces are all watery and not tasty compared to if you made them correctly. There was cheese on it but none of them were there. Lots of potential... unfortunately wasted. Too bad.

Food is good. But the service is VERY slow. I waited more than 40 minutes for 3 tacos during non-peak hours. Unbelievable

For the price one would expect the tacos at least to not be one on top of the other one served on a paper plate, the type that they use for a slice of cake at the bakers. It took forever to get them and I’ll never go back. Think a bit about how the food is presented. Put a bit of love to your product.

One of the best tacos I’ve ever eaten! Or maybe the best… :) Must try at least! ;) Fresh, tasty and the list of fillings is really loooong ;) Smiled people, quick service. Bar with good margaritas available :) The only disadvantage is the fact that it’s openair restaurant, so buy to take away or visit when it’s warm (or wear properly instead ;))

We arrived by chance to this corner of Berlin, with live improvisation jazz and some mind-blowing tacos in a food truck. Delicious food! We tried al pastor, campechana, quesadillas, gringas and chilaquiles. Very very top!

Good location. Amazingly clean. Very pleasant team, a bit slow but worth the wait. It's nice to sit there. I had vegan tacos. It was ok. My son thought his meat tacos were delicious. Price-performance ratio is right.

Ok, I would like to preface by saying that this is a subjective evaluation and it is based purely on my feelings. The tacos are very good, just like you know them from Mexico. Above all, you can find a Jarritos here, which I remember from my childhood. When I found out that you could also buy it in Germany, I stocked up and sunk into my childhood memories. As for the salsa, unfortunately I can't choose which salsa I want, as we know from Mexico. That ruins the whole Mexican feeling, instead I have the option of not using chili oil, which gives me the feeling that I'm at the kebab shop next door or with Asians. There is a big difference in taste whether I eat a salsa made from green or red tomatoes, one is sweeter and the other is more sour. I also think the statement that no one would take the salsa is very important, you have to leave it up to the customer to decide what they want or not. You can do it like in Mexico, you make a salsa verde & rojo and write "mild" on the bottles and if you prefer it spicy, you make a salsa negro and write "hot" on it, i.e. picante. That would improve the feeling and banish the disgusting chili oil where it belongs in the trash can.

My only complaint was the way the pineapple on the el pastor was prepared. It was finely diced, which I felt released too much flavor, overpowering the meat. Everything else was perfect.

You order at the street food cart outside and can then sit in the bar next door or in the winter garden while the tacos are prepared. The bartender is notified by radio when your order is ready. The bar is truly traditional, and you feel like you're transported to another country. There are also many locals there. The tacos were delicious; some of the meat was a bit dry, but still very good.

The place lives up to its reputation. A haven for vegetarian tacos . I have had hard time finding options for veg Mexican and I might have just found my new go to place for this in Berlin . They have good number of options and you cannot just stop at one taco . Pineapple taco (tropical) is the show stealer for me . Zucchini and jackfruit come a close second. Of course a special mention to the crew for serving with a smile .

We got three Birria, three Al Pastor, and one choriqueso tacos. They had a very large selection of taco options to choose from, at varying prices for a single taco or three tacos. The tacos we ate were very delicious, and quite filling. The atmosphere was very quiet, and unique, but also very relaxing. Some of the best street tacos I’ve had, and highly recommend.

It's a bit hard to find good tacos in Berlin, but the ones at this place are amazing! Every one we tried was delicious and well-made. I just wish they were a bit bigger, but that's just me being greedy 😅 The cherry on the cake is that half of the menu is vegetarian.

El Amigo is ideal if you want to have a little Mexican snack when the weather is nice. El Amigo is located very close to the vineyard park and is ideal for a delicious bite to eat, especially when it is warmer outside. The staff is friendly, the tacos and quesadillas are delicious and reasonably priced. The ambience is also nice, especially when the weather is nice. It is rather unsuitable for a dinner where you want to take your boyfriend or girlfriend out nicely. I would come back at any time and have already diligently recommended El Amigo to my friends.

Very generously filled juicy tasty tacos. From top to bottom in the picture and in my ranking: Pastor, Bistec, Birria. The corn tortilla is mega! I was hoping for a little more flavor from Birria, but it was still great.

The small trailer is located in a quiet corner. The staff is very friendly and seems authentic. The food was very tasty. I had the birria and choriqueso tacos. Both convinced me immediately. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here. Absolute recommendation, as I have rarely eaten such good Mexican food in Germany.

Really good, authentic tacos from a street food truck at the vineyard. We had Birria and Gringa, both super juicy with lots of spices and varied flavors, plus an excellent homemade chili oil. Real food for the soul and tasted great, we will definitely come back when we are in Berlin. PS: There are beer tables in front of the truck, but like we do now in winter, you can go in to a small restaurant and eat them there.

I'm a from Los Angeles these tacos are the best I've had in all of Europe.

The tacos tasted nice but not authentic. I understand that they need adjust the flavour for the german palette but its a shame. Also the horchata was a joke, just watered down milk with some cinnamon.

We were so in love with their tacos. I was so sad we were not able to come by at least one more time before we left Berlin. Well next time we will definitely make sure to stop by here again. The tacos are authentic and taste amazing.

Best taquería on this side of the world. I have been to the truck multiple times and also booked them for private caterings at home. Fair prices, amazing quality, authentic product...Baruc and the team are amazing. I cannot recommend them enough!
