Amor Restaurant - Altstadt Köpenick in Berlin

A great restaurant in the old town of Köpenick with a nice atmosphere! In summer it's wonderful to sit outside by the water, in winter it's cozy inside. The cocktail menu is large, varied and the cocktails are always perfectly mixed. The food also tastes great. Absolutely recommended – I always enjoy being here!

Stopped by a Mexican restaurant by chance - very nice welcome, great atmosphere. The food was good and lots of it. There was the Amore record, but unfortunately it wasn't enough Mexico for us. 2 buritos and fried peppers. Otherwise more German (pork/turkey/beef) or American (chicken drumstick and potatoes, as well as spare ribs and chicken nuggets) plus salad and 2 scampis. The sauces, guacamole was good with room for improvement, the slightly spicier sauce was too thin and sour cream was also good. Maybe we should have taken individual dishes to have the Mexican taste experience.

Waited almost an hour for the food because apparently the receipt didn't arrive in the kitchen. Food then served lukewarm. Guest room very noisy from other guests.

I dined here alone one summer day, when the restaurant was empty and quiet. It has a nice garden in the back overlooking the Spree and I felt good being there. The food tasted very nice, with a decorative presentation. The staff was friendly and also spoke English. Everything was fine. So I thought it would be a good idea to order food from here on Lieferando, now that I'm sick and can't stand up to prep a meal. Big mistake. The delivery was quite a different experience, unfortunately, and I would never repeat it. The quality was so bad, I don't have enough space here to describe it. I got these moldy melon slices, with spots of rot in them, I don't even know how this is possible. When you order at the table it's ok, because at least you see what you get, and if something is wrong, you can give it back. But when you order online, and the minimum order is 30€, you are left with 30€ worth of trash and there's nothing you can do about it.

Unfortunately only cash payment possible. A no-go for a restaurant of this size in the capital

The staff very friendly. However, the food wasn't warm. The fries were cold and there were little bits left over from being chopped hard. The kitchen staff should pay attention to what is obviously delivered on the menu. This happened to us and there were a lot of excuses: everyone blamed one or the other for it and no one was to blame. Oh and the beer was served far below the standard mark. That is not correct.

I ordered some Mexican tacos with chicken, very no joke, good ingredients. Corn tortillas are horrible, if they are going to give you a bag at least they heat them well. The most beautiful thing about the place is the large terrace overlooking the canal. It's wonderful to end a day there.

I was very satisfied with my first visit, so I spontaneously went yesterday. There was plastic in my drink! I was able to fish it out of my mouth and there was a risk of choking. There wasn't even an apology from the service and I had to ask for the drink to be re-served.

Due to the large space, there were a lot of waiters running around, which came across as a bit stressed. The food was solidly tasty. It didn't surprise me in terms of taste, but it didn't disappoint either. :) The drinks were mixed properly. That made me very happy.

We had a delightful dining experience at AMOR in Köpenick Altstadt. The Pollo Mani was flavorful, with perfectly cooked chicken and a rich, savory sauce. The burritos were generously filled and had a great balance of spices. Overall, the cozy atmosphere and attentive service made our visit memorable.

A very nice place for a great day with family or friends

In short it was great. Tasty food, delicious cocktails and you didn't have to wait long for the food. The waiters spoke somewhat broken German, but you could communicate. I'll definitely eat here more often. And you can have a great view of the water from the garden. Also important to me was the toilets were clean.

We had dinner here today with a group of 12 people. Everyone had their food at the same time. The staff was very nice and the food all tasted very good.

Great food and a very pleasant atmosphere! We were absolutely thrilled all around. I think the not-so-large portions are particularly good since you usually eat out in the evening! In addition, the prices are correspondingly low. So guys, just order an appetizer or a dessert ;-)

Very disappointing! Authentic is different! Almost tasteless, except for the heat from the chilies. When the weather is nice, the location near the water is really nice, but unfortunately that's the only positive thing.

We went here unplanned as we were hungry. We initially thought that this is an authentic Mexican food, but apparently not. When we arrived, the tables were empty inside and I saw only two or three tables that were occupied outside. We were seated on a dirty table and the staff didn’t even bother to clean the spilled water on the table - honestly it was kinda shocking. Shortly after that, the staff were arguing among themselves with loud noises (looked like they were about to fight). Anyway, so we ordered steaks (medium cooked) and they gave us well-done cooked steaks. To top it off, the salads and onions seemed to be off, looks like it was sitting in the kitchen for a few days.. not fresh at all!! So at the end we just ate the steak and the fries. Finally, they didn’t accept payments by card, which is fine but they could’ve warned as in the beginning with a sign on the door or something. Seriously I find it amazing how this business could survive this long with their food and service qualities. I hope the owner/manager read this comment and take it as a wake up call. Sometimes in business you need to pivot by changing your menu and improve the service quality, before it’s too late.

Food absolutely fine. No taste explosion. Not offering card payments is brave these days. Definitely a reason to reduce the stars. The view of the water is great. However, some beds are littered with rubbish.

Ever since I first went to this restaurant by chance, I have absolutely loved it! From the outside you only see the slightly clichéd decorations in the restaurant, but once you venture in, you will be pleasantly surprised: The staff are all friendly and helpful. You never have to wait long for your order, both the drinks and the food are always absolutely fantastic! There is a large selection of very different cocktails and there is also enough choice when it comes to food so that everyone can find something for themselves. Sometimes there are a few communication problems with some employees because not everyone can speak German well. With a little English and pointing on the map, it still works.

We were there for the fourth time today. And is always a dream. Super delicious food. Very friendly staff. Also very child friendly :) In addition, the interior is a real feast for the eyes. But the outside area is also very attractive. Especially the illuminated fountain in the middle. We can really highly recommend the “Amor”!!

Really very nice there. When the weather is nice you can use the terrace at the back and look directly at the water. The sunset is gigantic in the evening🥰. Cocktails are incredibly tasty and the price-performance ratio is also completely okay. Unfortunately, you can only pay in cash. I find it a bit of a shame...

Once and never again. We went there spontaneously and the food wasn't tasty at all. It also took an extremely long time and some of the service people could only speak English. After the food arrived late, we noticed that one was still raw and the other was not complete and cold. Well, as I said, we wouldn't go there again. So not recommended 👎🏻

There's nothing to complain about about the food and cocktails. Not in terms of service either. We ate there twice. Couldn't use the outdoor area at that time of year. What we noticed both times was that when you walk through the back to the view of the water, there is an unpleasant or disgusting smell of urine. The disabled toilet is down there. We were always so disgusted that we didn't go there anymore. At most if we can sit outside.

No, I didn't like it at all. We were there spontaneously. We actually wanted to go to a tapas bar, but unfortunately we didn't have a reservation. The waiters were pretty nice, but the food wasn't good. I had gratinated nachos and you really can't go wrong with that. But who puts an abundance of coriander in there?! My girlfriend had quesadilla. They were just okay too. You can definitely eat much better authentic Indian food in many other restaurants.

This is our second time here. Nice service. Food very well prepared. We are very satisfied.

Really 100% recommended. There were over 30 people who ordered a la carte. The service was courteous and quick. The dishes came without long intervals. Everyone present enjoyed the food very much. In summer you can look out over the Dahme from the terrace at the back. Lovely again.

We came from a boat tour. Our choice is Mexican. Nice atmosphere, table facing the water. Ordered wine and it arrived. Order food, came. Reordered wine didn't come. 2nd reorder, didn't come. 3. Reorder, next table upset because no service. 3.Reorder came. Terrace was empty, but 4 of the staff were standing around. Table was only cleared after request. With the staff you go bankrupt. No recommendation.

Great new Mexican restaurant in an old location with a great view of the water and a large outdoor terrace. The food is tasty, typically TexMex. The Indian staff is friendly and usually has everything under control.

Especially outdoors you can endure good weather. There are also inexpensive cocktails. These are not outstanding, but completely okay. I thought the selection of vegan dishes was great, even if I found a portion of nachos with vegan cheese and salsa for €8.50 to be quite expensive. A no-go for me is that only cash payment is accepted.

Nice location, friendly service. The food could have used a little more spice, but it was nevertheless very tasty and cheap. Lots of choice of vegetarian dishes.

So far only eaten on the terrace with a view of the Dahme. Food comes quickly and hot. It always tasted excellent. The staff is always on point and very attentive. A quick look is enough and someone is there. But not intrusive. I can absolutely recommend it.

The food is very very good and The Cocktails are also really very nice. the view from outside is OMG! I never see mexican restourent like it. The specially ordered avocado cream is a salsa with onions. I have an allergic reaction to it and therefore cannot eat it. The chili from carne has nothing to do with a chili con carne and is inedibly hot instead of medium hot as stated, the salad with the chimichanga was forgotten. I tried the chimichanga and it totally tastes like limp curry. What the hell is this doing in a Mexican dish? You seem to be able to do absolutely nothing! Really disgusting and disgusting food that went into the trash! You should be shut down!

The food and cocktails were delicious. We ordered vegetarian quesadillas and margaritas. The service was also good. Generally highly recommended.

We went outside on a busy day but got a table straight away. The service was friendly and very quick, food and drinks were available within 20 minutes, which was very quick. The food was good, just as Europeans imagine Mexican food to be ;-) but unfortunately the toilets are outside and they are on the 2nd floor without a lift, at least I didn't see any alternative for those with disabilities. Because it smelled so unpleasant, I didn't go in any further. But it was quite nice outside, only the chairs were very deep and a bit uncomfortable and I wouldn't wipe tables with my hand ;-) All in all, nice and a good alternative to the €23 liver with mashed potatoes next door.

Let's put it this way: "We've had enough" the staff, who look more Pakistani/Indian, are very friendly. The service is good. But it smells a lot like a train station toilet and you can only pay in cash. 🤷‍♀️we won't be coming back.

I quite like the taste and the portion is huge! And the view outside is pretty nice! I recommend to see outside and enjoy the sunny view with green atmosphere 🍃☘️

Unfortunately, there was no sign of love in the food in the “Amore” restaurant. Despite the romantic name, the food was disappointing across the board, consisting of ready-made and frozen food. The staff did not convey any warmth and stared unpleasantly. Only the drinks were praiseworthy. Disappointing for a place with a name like “Amore”.

The first impression when entering the restaurant: Pleasant atmosphere, hospitable greeting from the staff. The motto here is to arrive and feel good. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The drinks are served ice-cold. The food was delivered in less than 20 minutes. The dishes came out of the kitchen hot and pleasing to the eye. The portions are plentiful. We ordered 6 different dishes. All were very tasty. The locations also had no complaints. All in all, a cozy restaurant with friendly service and good food. The only drawback: NO CARD PAYMENT POSSIBLE! With an average of €25 per person, you have to have a lot of cash ready or go to a bank again. That deducts a whole point from the service!

The food was beautifully prepared and very tasty, the service was super attentive, fast and friendly despite the restaurant being quite full. I think price/performance is completely okay. The only drawback is that payment is only possible in cash and unfortunately you only find out when you pay. A note in the entrance area would be great.

A recommended restaurant in Köpenick. The menu is extensive and invites you to come back. My portion could have been a little larger when I visited, but it was still quite affordable given the prices. As is now common practice in Köpenick, no cashless payment methods are accepted. The service was impeccable and the food was tasty. I will gladly come again!

Pretty rip off. We actually eat here 3-4 times a year and so far we've never had any complaints. Food, drinks and service were always so-so, but it was cheap. Today we were here for the first time in 2024. There was a sign in front of the door that said something about “Cocktails” and “€4.90”. So we ate and drank as usual, except today everything took forever. We still accepted that. As the evening progressed, I switched from cocktails to long drinks. Since I wasn't sure if they were included in happy hour, I asked. The statement from two different waiters was meaningless. In the end we had to pay 30 euros more than expected because all the drinks were “from €4.90”. I didn't want to leave a tip, but of course they kept it. I could have said something here, but I was already too stunned and too angry to be able to react. For me it's not primarily about the 30 €, but about the audacity with which the customers are being ripped off here. Until now there has always been a standard price for cocktails, which has been quietly removed. You have lost me as a customer. This also applies to the Indian restaurants that belong to you. Bad service, lousy atmosphere and then being ripped off?! Sorry guys, it'll end at some point!

We had dinner there last night and were very impressed! The service was great, we even got a flower vase and were able to decorate the table for a birthday. The meal didn't take long at all and was so delicious. We'll definitely be back ♡

I've been here several times. In the summer of '23, I ordered something with chicken. I had the feeling that the chicken wasn't cooked through properly, it still shimmered pink. The next morning I immediately noticed the stomach pain. On Feb. 24, a friend wanted to celebrate his birthday here. He reserved a table for 14 people on Saturday at 7 p.m. There was even a confirmation and it was sent via SMS from the restaurant!! asked again whether the reservation was from our side. So we were in front of the Mexi at 7 p.m. sharp. Unfortunately there was no table for us. We had to stand in front of the restaurant for more than 45 minutes at 5°C, only to be told that unfortunately there was still no room. What kind of impudence is this??? We were then directed to the Indian restaurant, where none of us wanted to go. My friend's birthday was over.

Avoid this scam of a restaurant with so-called Mexican food prepared by Indians. The head waiter (the fat one) was very rude and thought I didn't understand the language when he talked about me to the other staff. I kept my mouth shut and pretended I didn't understand what they were saying. There is no sign at the entrance indicating that this “restaurant” only accepts cash payments. They kept urging me to place an order but I was undecided when I saw all the Indian faces in this MEXICAN restaurant. My friend ordered and when the food arrived it wasn't even up to the standards of a kebab place in Berlin.

Very tasty food and delicious drinks. Nice, attentive service. The only two stars for the service are for the following reason: No card payment is possible. There was no notice of this beforehand, neither on the entrance door, on the menu, nor was there a notice when the order was taken. It just happened that we had the appropriate amount of cash with us. Nowadays, when you can pay with a card at every snack bar, this is absolutely not up to date and will put some guests off.

I can pay with EC cards at any bakery, but unfortunately not in this store. We live in the year 2024 and something like that is no longer possible. It would be nice if you could adapt to German standards.

Nice ambience, food is ok but there are bad smells in the first room, tables not clean, withered flowers and ants on the table in winter? Waiters sometimes only speak English. You should have your own experience but for me it was a unique visit.

Very friendly staff who asked regularly but not too intrusively whether everything was ok or whether we had any further requests. Vegan selection of dishes. The food was delicious and was served on hot plates, so the food stayed warm for a long time. Nice ambience.

Die Ambiente ist ganz angenehm, leider riecht es meiner Meinung nach muffig beim betretendes Restaurants. Das Essen schmeckte gut. Grosse Auswahl was das Essen und Getränke angeht. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Salat war lieb abgerichtet mit der Melone aber leider nicht mehr so frisch. Die Qwackamole war lecker und frisch. Der Burrito und die Quesadillas waren leider eine Enttäuschung : komisch gewürzt, durchweicht, irgendwie lieblos. Es hat so geschmeckt, als hätte ich es nachts um 2 Uhr schnell gekocht und ich kann nicht kochen. :((

Schönes mexikanisches Restaurant in der Altstadt von Köpenick. Direkt in Wassernähe. War an dem Tag sehr gut besucht, weshalb es auch recht laut war. Ansonsten aber OK

Positiv : Das Essen wird auf ordentlich vorgewärmten Tellern serviert, und das Personal ist sehr bemüht . Das Restaurant ist stylisch mexikanisch gestaltet. Das Chili con Carne ist wirklich gut und nicht übertrieben Scharf. Negativ : Wir sind hier am Abend durch Zufall gelandet, und müssen leider sagen das die Burritos sehr pappig und geschmacklos waren ,davon mal abgesehen war auch die Füllung sehr geschmacksneutral. Wir hatten den Eindruck das hier die Indische Küche eher eine Rolle spielt. Sicherlich alles Geschmacksache. Als es ans bezahlen ging, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass nur Bargeldzahlung möglich wäre. Am Eingang keinerlei Hinweis und in der Speisekarte haben wir nichts gesehen. Problemlösung sollte sein, dass einer von uns zum Geldautomaten geht, und Bargeld besorgt. Wir haben dies verneint da für uns Gebühren anfallen. Daraufhin sagte man uns, dass keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird ,weil man diese Gebühren auch nicht übernehmen will. Wir wollten nun unsere Personalien hinterlassen und am nächsten Tag bezahlen. Dies wurde verneint, es sei denn wir lassen unsere Personalausweise als Pfand dort. Nein wir überlassen unsere Ausweisdokumente in der heutigen Zeit niemandem… !!!!!! Letztendlich haben wir mit Paypal gezahlt wobei ja auch hier Gebühren fällig werden. Die sprachliche Kommunikation gestaltete sich sehr schwierig. Zumindest Deutsch und Englisch mehr schlecht als recht, und Spanisch eigenartigerweise in einem Mexikanischen restaurant, überhaupt nicht . Alles sehr kompliziert und deshalb werden wir keinen Anlauf mehr starten. PS. auf der Webseite steht das nur Barzahlung akzeptiert wird …?

Viel los am Samstag. Ein wenig chaotisch, aber trotzdem gutes Essen.

Riesige Auswahl an Cocktails und viele Speisen. Super schönes Restaurant mit einigen Plätzen direkt zum Wasser. F Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Essen jedoch eher eingedeutschtes mexikanisch

Hier haben wir einen schönen Abend verbracht - lecker gegessen (trotz verschiedener Unverträglichkeiten von Lebensmitteln) und schöne Cocktails zu super Preisen genossen. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und super schnell. Es war an unserem Abend sehr laut im Restaurant, aber das kann an verschiedenen anderen Veranstaltungen gelegen haben. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Essen zum vernünftigen Preis. Sehr zu empfehlen. *****
