Delicious tarte flambée in many variations. Definitely worth trying more.

No longer an insider tip in Karlsruhe and the surrounding area: Marianne's Flammkuchen makes fantastic and creative tarte flambée. Therefore, you should definitely make a reservation in advance. The selection is gigantic, making it incredibly difficult to decide. Almost all varieties are available in vegan versions. If you're really hungry, the all-you-can-eat option is absolutely recommended; if you can't manage more than one tarte flambée (plus half a sweet one), it's not worth it. One point deducted: due to the structure, the dining room is often incredibly loud, so if you have the opportunity, reserve outside, especially in the summer. Service has always been friendly and courteous. Payment is only possible together per table, but the waiters always make this clear right at the beginning, and in my opinion, that's perfectly fine.

The tarte flambée is incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, the staff are usually not in a very good mood. The fact that you can only bill a table as a whole prevents me from tipping. I end up having to take over the job of the service staff afterward and calculate the prices for everyone to get my money back. It's a shame.

We were here with a group of 10 people. I liked the atmosphere, the servers were friendly and, even later on when the place got busier, they still served us quite quickly. We tried our way through the menu and had a lot of fun. The plates were usually always empty :) I find it strange that you can only pay one total bill and that if there are one or two left over from a tarte flambée, you can only take them away for 50 cents each. I understand the idea of ​​avoiding waste, but if a group ends up with three pieces left over, that's just normal and they'd rather throw the pieces away than give them away, I think that's silly. All in all, I thought it was great and would come again.

If you love tarte flambée, you absolutely have to go to Marianne's! The all-you-can-eat offering is simply fantastic – you can sample the wide selection and are sure to find your favorites. It's most fun in a group of 3-4 people because you can try so many different varieties. Every tarte flambée tastes amazing – from savory and sweet to vegetarian and vegan, there really is something for everyone. A perfect place for all tarte flambée fans – highly recommended!

We're from near Munich, but whenever we get the chance and we're in Karlsruhe, we come here for the all-you-can-eat tarte flambée. The service is excellent, super friendly, and incredibly quick. The tarte flambée combinations are always amazing. We always enjoy coming back and would come much more often if it weren't 300 km away.

The tarte flambée was super delicious!!!

If you can eat a lot, then this place is right for you. Fairly priced flammkuchen all you can eat for about 20€ let’s you eat as many as you want of the various sorts that contain anything from cheeses, veggies, means and sauces to seafood and even sweets for the dessert ones. Lots of drink and fun! Reserve ahead of time to avoid the wait during rush hour. Easy to get to by bike or tram. Not sure about car parking through. Friendly service service in mostly German. The bathroom was clean but someone had vomited all over the floor and I guess the staff hadn’t noticed yet, but the entire bathroom smelled so bad I had to step out and contain myself until I got home.

An experience for adults, children, in short, the whole group. An ideal place for family and other celebrations. Friendly and efficient service and delicious tarte flambée, plus more, for every taste.

Great place for all-you-can-eat tarte flambée, especially for groups of four or more. A wide selection of savory and sweet tarte flambées, as well as seasonal additions. The three toppings to choose from were delicious and gave the tarte flambée an extra special touch. The ambiance is somewhat reminiscent of a sports bar. Recommend making a reservation on weekends.

To finish, the "Queen of Nuts" was simply delicious. The service is very attentive, fast, and friendly. The terrace is particularly beautiful, but the restaurant also feels very comfortable. The tarte flambée was delicious, and the restaurant has a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the waitress was unable to split our group of 15 into three tables to make it easier for us to pay. Furthermore, the waitress was unable to properly bill us for two rounds of drinks. We were told that if we didn't understand the concept, we could leave.

What a great place! Clean, spacious, very friendly (and cheerful) service – we wouldn't have expected that in the middle of a tennis club. The tarte flambée – fantastic, we had five; a lot for two, and very tasty. The 50 cent surcharge for the vegan components is completely understandable. We're new fans, and not just on Facebook and Instagram.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing overall. With the outside temperature on the terrace at 35 degrees Celsius, both the beer and the wine spritzer were served warm – a definite downside in this heat. Furthermore, it was only possible to pay the bill for the entire table together. In our group of seven, this led to arguments and inconveniences. The staff's explanation that they "didn't have time to bill individually" seemed uncustomer-oriented – especially since other restaurants handle this easily. The food was also disappointing: The tarte flambée arrived lukewarm and was very dry, as hardly any cream was used. Overall, the staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed, which unfortunately had a negative impact on the atmosphere and service. In summary: It's a shame, as the location had potential, but the service and quality urgently need to improve.

We usually go to Herxheim, and the tarte flambée was delicious as usual, and the staff was very friendly. The ambiance was great; we sat outside, well spaced from other tables, and were able to watch a great tennis match.

Despite our reservation, everything was very slow. They wanted to seat us in the blazing sun at 32°C.

We don't think it's right that the environmentally friendly and ethical option is more expensive. It would be better to raise the prices a bit overall. We've loved coming here almost every month for several years – the tarte flambée is simply fantastic! The cozy atmosphere invites you to stay for several hours. As vegans, we particularly appreciate the extensive vegan offerings. The selection is so large that even on an "all-you-can-eat" visit, we couldn't manage to try all the vegan options – which speaks volumes about the variety and quality of the offerings. The service team is always friendly, attentive, but never intrusive – you get support exactly when you need it. The regularly changing monthly specials also bring a breath of fresh air and make every visit exciting. The newsletter is a great addition – we look forward to the new creations every month. It would be even better if it came right at the beginning of the month so you know what to look forward to right away. We also think it's great that there are vegan options every day now – before, you had to wait for certain days or hope for special offers. The fact that card payments are now possible is also a great development. It's all the more regrettable that these positive changes are being tarnished by a new rule: With the "all-you-can-eat" offer, you recently have to pay extra if you can't finish the last tarte flambée and want to take it with you. Even though it's generally permitted to pack up leftovers, we find it a shame that this entails additional costs – especially if you've simply overestimated your ability. We consider the fact that a previously paid-for tarte flambée is otherwise simply thrown away to be unnecessary food waste and outdated. Nevertheless, we would like to emphasize that we truly value this place and should have given our review long ago – with a full 5 stars. Should the new rule be reconsidered, we would be happy to adjust our rating accordingly.

Many vegetarian options available

We recently went to Mariannnes again, and it was just like always. The food was excellent, the service (especially Lisa this time) was attentive. We spent several hours eating and chatting, and we enjoyed the time.

Update August 25, 2021: This time the tarte flambée arrived a little faster :-) Delicious as always :-P ..... Just the price........ :-( The tarte flambées are plentiful and well-filled. They taste good and are varied. We quite enjoy eating tarte flambée there. The other branches are also good, although we haven't visited the one in Rastatt yet, but we'll make it there too 🙂 My only complaint..... It takes too long for the tarte flambées to arrive.... and the price is quite high these days.... There are officially no "deluxe" versions anymore, but they're still advertised as "deluxe" on the menu 😕 Since the prices have risen so much, we've reduced our visits accordingly 🤷🏻‍♂️ But all things considered... go there and enjoy! 😋🤤 Update January 24, 2023 Delicious as always, but the price..... :-( Update June 23, 2023 We've been there twice now, you can't do without it :-P Update June 9, 2025 We've been back after a long time. The tarte flambée had much better toppings! Still delicious 😋 It's a shame that the specials contained very little of "the" ingredients.... You had to look very closely and search for the pulled pork and flame-grilled salmon :-( The sentence from the August 25, 2021 update is still valid: "Since the prices have risen so much, we've reduced our visits accordingly 🤷🏻‍♂️"

We took advantage of the all-you-can-eat offer. The menu's variety is fantastic. The tarte flambée we tried ranged from tasty to very tasty, of course, everyone has their own preferences. The prices are a bit on the higher side. I don't think it's appropriate to make vegan options more expensive. You can pay by card. The service staff were very friendly.

The tarte flambée selection is very large, with creative combinations and various sauces. However, a direct comparison with the one in Alsace (La Couronne Roeschwoog) reveals significant differences in the dough and toppings. The wait between tarte flambées also felt too long; we arrived at 8:30 and finished at 10:30, getting a total of four tarte flambées. Next time, we'd rather drive 15 minutes longer and eat in Alsace again...

The tarte flambée was okay, and the selection was good. Unfortunately, only one person can pay at a time.

On March 27, 2025, an attempt was made to have my bad review deleted as "defamation."

Essentially, a really great restaurant for eating tarte flambée. The price for the all-you-can-eat offer was recently increased again. So far, so good, perhaps understandable in this day and age. What we don't understand, however, is that when you finish the last tarte flambée (which you can't finish because you're just hungry), there's no option to have the remaining pieces wrapped up. This is common practice in every other restaurant, and in my opinion, it doesn't detract from the quality of the food. After all, you pay for the pieces as part of the price. When we asked about this, we were told no. Instead, we were charged an additional 50 cents for each (!) piece of tarte flambée we took. When we asked what would happen to the pieces otherwise (they're thrown away, which is, unfortunately, the only option), we were met with a rude response. Sorry, but this is truly a disgrace that surprised and somewhat alienated all of us (there were six of us at the table). We consider this development to be new – we go to Marianne's Flammkuchen quite often, and taking the last two or three pieces has never been a problem, let alone costing money. It's clear that an all-you-can-eat offer shouldn't (!) be used to take home packed lunches, but hey, if three small pieces are left at the very end, they're better thrown away than given to the customer (half a piece per person, if you extrapolate that), who would have eaten them with joy and gratitude the next day. You can do that, but it's just not particularly great or personable...

Four of us went here for the all-you-can-eat meal. We completely underestimated how filling a tarte flambée could be. The flavor was excellent, and special requests were readily accommodated. I highly recommend the garlic tarte flambée with extra garlic! Unpleasant colleagues will still be keeping their distance two days after this culinary delight.

Marianne's Flammkuchen impresses with its pleasant atmosphere and exceptionally delicious tarte flambée – crispy, fresh, and delicious! The only minor drawback: separate bills are not possible. Nevertheless, it's absolutely recommended!

We were invited to a wedding here and had a wonderful day. The food, tarte flambée, was excellent and offered in a very wide variety. The service was very attentive and constantly checked on us, so that no wishes were left unfulfilled. We will be happy to come back.

Beautifully located locally on the Alb. Tarte flambée tastes great and there is a great selection. Service very attentive and friendly. The small disadvantage is the parking situation. You must park a short distance away in a public parking lot.

We were completely thrilled. The food was really great and there was something for everyone. Above all, the fact that you can order almost every tarte flambée as a vegan version is really great. The service was really friendly and explained everything to us (most of them were visiting for the first time) in great detail (and that with 14 people!). The children were also excited. We will definitely come back!

We ate there. Food was good. The waitress basically didn't pay any attention to us. When we wanted to pay we were first rudely informed that we were only allowed to pay as a group. A single payment was refused. This was never pointed out and the conditions were not displayed at our table. I've never experienced anything like that before.

Here you can order different delicious Pizzas. Good for pizza lovers! The prices are reasonable (not expensive as fancy restaurants). One can use the offer of unlimited food (not beverages) around 24 euro per person. The staff are polite and helpful, speaking English as well. It's better to make a reservation in advance as it is pretty crowded!

There were seven of us there and we ate all you can eat. In the first round there were even 3 tarte flambées (afterwards always 2) to accommodate our vegan. Dogs are also allowed and we were given a table where they could lie comfortably and undisturbed. We went home well-fed and would love to come back.

We got a place with a reservation. The service staff tried very hard, but the two of them had a lot to do when the room was full. The tarte flambées were good, but often a bit too dark for my taste. Cutlery would have been desirable if you wanted to down an ingredient. You can only pay the bill per table, which is really unusual these days. At one point on the homepage it says that only cash is accepted, this is outdated. You can pay by card, but only for the entire table.

Marianne's tarte flambée in Karlsruhe is super tasty and highly recommended. As a couple, you can always order one tarte flambée one after the other at the All u can eat and always top it half/half but only with one of the four different sauces. (classic, garlic, tomato and vegan) I can recommend the fish and shrimp tarte flambée to everyone. The sweet tarte flambées are delicious and perfect for dessert! At the end there was a little shot on the house! 🥰
