The positive first: I have nothing to complain about in terms of taste. “Next!” it barks at my family and me, even though the family in front of us wasn’t even holding their ice cream in their hands. I was completely irritated for half a second and then it barked again: “Next!” Now you might assume that we are very slow and there is a queue of 20 people behind us. That wasn't the case. Nobody was waiting behind us. In order not to spoil the children's joy, we ordered obediently. But this will definitely be the last time. Nobody has to be treated like this. The other ice cream parlor a few meters further on Barkhausenstr. along, next to the fantastic island bakery now has new regular customers.

There is really good ice cream here with a good price-performance ratio. Nice service that always responds to its customers.

Unfortunately, my visit to this ice cream parlor was anything but pleasant. The ice cream tasted extremely artificial, almost like it was full of artificial flavors and not made from high quality ingredients. The taste wasn't convincing at all and was disappointing, especially if you're expecting fresh, creamy ice cream. In addition, the staff was unfriendly, both to adults and children. A smile or a kind word would certainly have made the visit more pleasant, but unfortunately you felt more like a burden than a welcome guest. Too bad the service was just as disappointing as the ice cream. This was definitely the last visit for us.

The ice cream tastes much better in the other ice cream parlors on the island, the scoop size is extra small so that you can probably achieve the highest possible profit at €1.80 per scoop. The staff is also very unfriendly. If you haven't placed your order within 2 seconds, you'll roll your eyes in annoyance and groan. It's better to avoid it here.

Special requests are accepted. The staff is always friendly and very fond of children.

Most child-unfriendly ice cream parlor in the world. My daughter, 12 years old, ordered the ice cream alone and was treated very unfriendly. The feedback was simply thrown on the counter. If this is normal just because the child is alone, where are we going????

First of all, the positive: The ice cream tastes good. Now for the downgrade: The ice cream balls are hard to beat in terms of their tiny size. However, things are even worse with the friendliness of the older male staff. I haven't met such an unfriendly person in service for a long time, without having to exchange a word with him. For the slowly disappearing customers of days gone by, this ice cream parlor may still create a feeling of nostalgia and fond memories, but for the island's more modern clientele, the prices advertised expect a little more than this ice cream parlor can now deliver. A positive transformation has at least not been successful here or explicitly not wanted - people would much rather react in an unfriendly manner to the current expectations of customers. Until a few years ago, you could still get good, inexpensive espresso from a portafilter machine, but there are now far better alternatives on the island for the same price. Conclusion' For me, who can easily do without ice cream, the Pinese ice cream parlor is no longer a necessary place to go on Langeoog.

The service at the counter in both branches is unfriendly and almost rude. You don't have time to choose the varieties and are loudly commanded to order. The sundae is slammed onto the counter without any please or thank you (when paying). The ice cream is still ok, but the quality is significantly worse than in recent years. Really a shame. When I was greeted in a friendly manner by the extremely “nice” waitress, I lost my desire for ice cream. Still wanted children. We then look for another ice cream parlor based on the portion sizes. But it tasted good.

My son got the wrong ice cream despite ordering correctly. The waitress did not respond to a complaint despite being accompanied by a friend who was there. Very unfortunate and no service. The mother's complaint also yielded no insight. Recommendation: hearing test.

I've been coming to Langeoog for over 40 years now and I've eaten ice cream everywhere here. The ice cream tastes okay here, but the balls are made nice and small for 1.80 euros. Unfreundliche, überhebliche Bedienung. Seit Jahren sind wir an dieser Eisbude auf der Ecke der Einkaufsstraße Stammkunden. Mit 6 Personen nach dem Essen ein Eis von Pinese gehört dazu. Bis heute. Eis im Hörnchen mit Streuseln für den Enkel bestellt. Eis ohne Streusel wird geliefert. Auf „freundliche“ Nachfrage hierzu, da nichts gesagt wurde, ob wir Streusel bekommen können die muffelige Antwort: Wenn ich Streusel hätte hätten sie welche bekommen. Eine solche Art und Weise muss man wirklich bei den Preisen nicht akzeptieren. Diese Eisfiele sieht uns nie wieder. Vielleicht sollte der Chef dem Personal mal mitteilen wer letztendlich das Gehalt bezahlt.

The smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever gotten for €1.80! Really a joke, but none of the ice cream parlors in town do anything about it. The balls almost disappear into the waffle because they are made so small. The only ice cream parlor where you can still get a decent scoop is the one at the colorful houses!

A terribly unfriendly older gentleman behind the counter. We were rushed to choose a flavor of ice cream, unfortunately when I paid I didn't understand the price correctly and asked again. Then he said “still €9” I answered him that unfortunately I didn't understand it and that's why I asked again and that he didn't have to be so unfriendly. The balls are clearly too small for the price and unfortunately they don't taste great either.

The scoop of ice cream is completely overpriced compared to its size, even for the island. In other cities the ball would be larger or at least 20 cents cheaper. The ice cream in the ice cream parlor is reasonably priced.

Das Personal war maximal ungeduldig und unfreundlich. Wenn man möchte, dass Kunden direkt wissen was sie bestellen möchten, sollte man die verfügbaren Sorten für alle sichtbar auflisten. Den Kunden, vor allem denen mit Kindern, dann keinerlei Zeit zur Entscheidung zu geben, und dies dann mit Unfreundlichkeit zu quittieren geht gar nicht. Die Größe der Eiskugeln lässt auch zu wünschen übrig, ebenso wie die Qualität. Ihr wollt euch verbessern, dann habt ihr genug zu tun

About the ice cream and price/performance ratio: The ice cream is a normal ice cream, not above or below average in terms of taste. The price is very ambitious for relatively small balls, even with an island surcharge. The balls themselves are even more appealing than the overpriced and carelessly “created” take-away cups. For me, the continued use of plastic does not reflect well on current legislation regarding packaging materials. It's not surprising that the owner isn't interested in this either. Very, very sad picture that the employees/owners produce here and still benefit from us “stupid” tourists. As I said. Hopefully karma will sort it out on its own. We will prefer the other options on the island. (The observations are based on several years as a tourist on the island. When I read the reviews from worldwide samples including Italy, it is clear to me that someone who is not objective must have rated this.) My recommendation: Avoid these arrogant ones , unfriendly and unsympathetic people.

Absolut unfreundliche Bedienung!!!! Wollten Kleingeld beim bezahlen anbieten(es ging lediglich um 20 Cent!!!) Und da waren wir wohl eine Sekunde zu langsam das gleich gesagt wurde beim nächsten Msl muss das schneller gehen und wir wären zu langsam für Langeoog und sollen unser Eis das nächste Mal woanders kaufen!Wir waren die einzigen Kunden dort und es war nun nicht so das wir den Verkehr aufgehalten haben! Eine bodenlose Frechheit! Wenn er keinen Bock auf den Job hat sollte er es lassen aber nicht fröhliche Urlauber so unverschämt angehen!!! Seit vielen Jahren essen wir gern ein Eis fort, wurden bisher immer freundlich bedient! War auch immer vermutlich der Besitzer selbst. heute wird es durch diesen Vorfall das letzte Mal gewesen sein! Sowas braucht sich niemand geben!!!

We have been coming to the island for many years. A visit to the Pinese ice cream boutique is an integral part of our “island program”. The staff is always very friendly and the ice cream specialties are very tasty.

Small ice cream shop on the corner. The ice cream was delicious, but the older gentleman who served was very unfriendly. Complained that we didn't greet him when we came to the counter. When I asked him if a simple “Hello” wouldn’t be enough for him, he apologized and said he hadn’t heard that. We were at the little corner ice cream parlor. The service was very friendly and there was a good selection. Ordered a total of 4 scoops of ice cream. All different types. Everything tasted very crystallized. Like frozen and thawed several times. We wouldn't order ice cream there again.

Superleckereres Eis und eine exzellente Quarkspeise mit frischem Obst. Italienischer Café oder Cappuccino geht immer. Supernettes Inhaber und seit fast vierzig Jahren ein immer freundliches Team. Weiter so Leiter war Anfang März noch zu, aber ich komme nächste oder übernächste Woche wieder.

We have been coming to Langeoog regularly for many years and to the Pinese several times during our holidays. The ice cream tastes great, but above all the two service staff (a woman and a man) who have been working there for what feels like forever are super friendly! You are always greeted and said goodbye nicely. We remain regulars.

Das Eis ist super, aber die Bedienung einfach nur unverschämt. Vor die Theke darf sich nur stellen, wer weiß was er will. Alle anderen werden aus dem Weg gescheucht. Wie man so herausfinden soll, welche Sorte man nimmt, ist mir schleierhaft. Der Preis wäre mit 1,70€ pro Kugel (August 2023) angemessen, würde man sich neben dem unfreundlichen Service nicht auch noch bemühen, die Kugeln so klein wie nur irgendwie möglich zu machen... Wenn möglich, geht man lieber zum Hauptgeschäft auf der Barkhausenstraße!

Geschmacklich wie jedes Eis und nichts besonderes mehr . Der Preis pro Kugel ist der Hammer. Dafür gibt es draußen keine Schlange mehr.;-) Ich bin mir sicher, wenn die Kugel wieder 1,5€ kosten würde, würden die Leute mehr und häufiger kaufen !
