Eclipse Grillbar in München

I like the relaxed atmosphere at Eclipse: friendly customers, authentic food, attentive service, and fair prices. The houmous is very good, with plenty of tahini in it, and the portions are really generous. We also had falafel with a large plate. Many beers are available.

I was really craving something different from the usual Bavarian, Italian, or Asian cuisine – and stumbled upon the Eclipse restaurant by chance. What a stroke of luck! Even when I made my reservation, I received an exceptionally friendly welcome – something I've rarely experienced before. This impression continued once I arrived: the service was warm, attentive, and simply exceptional. I felt completely at home from the very first moment. The food was a true highlight: oriental, varied, high-quality, and incredibly delicious. Every course was a delight. An all-around fantastic experience – I can highly recommend the Eclipse and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent food as always. However, make sure that you’ll need to wait a bit to get your food since it’s always full. The service is excellent and the food always manages to hit the spot. My favourite dish is the Hazil Habait, it’s a must try!

We had a lovely meal, with falafel and hummus, along with a choice of three vegetarian tapas. The food was good, there was barely any smell from the kitchen, and the bathrooms were clean. It was a good lunch.

The oriental food was really good and offered a welcome change. It was nice to try something new. The friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely go back.

The place is always pleasantly busy and service is nice. The food is isrealian / mid-east and of course the signature dish is about the grilled meat.

There were four of us, and we had a tapas plate as a starter, followed by a different dish each. The quality of the food was excellent, very tasty, and everything was freshly prepared. The dessert was also surprisingly good. The service was very friendly. The typical beer garden chairs outside (on the terrace) were notoriously uncomfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

Based on a recommendation, I came here for dinner yesterday. I got a table right away, even though it was busy. The good beer came quickly, too. In addition to Bavarian draft beer, they also serve pilsner and lager from Israel. The menu is varied, and after I familiarized myself with it, I received good advice. Everything tasted very good. The portions are generous, but not overly generous. The servers were attentive and quick. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I'll definitely be back!

The food is fantastic. The service is inconsistent. One of the waiters seemed quite stressed and didn't create a comfortable atmosphere. The other, with the curly hair, was super nice. The noise level in the restaurant was almost unbearable. This is partly due to the fact that the tables are fairly close together and the place was very crowded. But it's also because some of the guests are quite inconsiderate, talking and laughing at a volume that borders on shouting. The restaurant can't be blamed for this, and I would still recommend it without reservation. Great location, great place.

It's been a while since my last visit... The food is super delicious, a bit too lightly seasoned for me personally, but, as I said, still delicious. Service was always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, but noisy, and the tables are quite close together. It gets especially crowded in the winter, because everyone (including me) hangs their heavy jackets over the chairs. Would definitely come again.

Six of us were there on a busy evening, and yet the service was fast, friendly, and attentive. As a native Israeli, I can say: the food tastes authentic, the hummus is creamy and flavorful, the falafel crispy and delicious, and the salads are fresh and well-seasoned. My main course, a kebab skewer with Israeli salad, was also very good. The quality is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are absolutely fair. The only minor drawback: the acoustics are a bit loud when the place is full. Nevertheless: Highly recommended!

Great food mit fast serving. Tapas portion are also very big and the pita just amazing, fluffy and direct from the grill on our table. We had Tscheburek, chicken skewer and burger. All with very tasty & well seasoned salad & potatoes. And don't miss the house made mint lemonade.

Very good Israeli food. I was particularly impressed by the hummus, which is perhaps the best I've ever eaten. The portions are generous. The only thing missing from the appetizers is the bread. They don't offer enough of it. And of course, they forget to bring it when you reorder.

I am not sure if it is a cultural thing but we felt really badly served and would unfortunately not return there, even if the food was good. Der Laden gehörte einer griechischen Freundin und wir haben es auf israelische Küche umgestellt und eröffnet und jetzt muss ich erfahren, dass ich in den Laden reinkomme und von einem Volltrottel-Kellner mich beschimpfen lassen muss, weil ich den Chef kontaktiert habe, um mich über den Service zu beschweren. Er machte mich an der Türe blöd an. Das habe ich nicht nötig. Das Leben ist ein Karussell und es kommt alles wieder zurück. Die Ignoranz vom Chef hat mir den Rest gegeben. PS: Der Ordnung halber - es handelt sich nur um einen Kellner. Die restliche Mannschaft ist freundlich und sympatisch.

After numerous recommendations from friends, I finally went to Eclipse for dinner, and I have to say... It was fantastic! The food was so incredibly delicious, nothing compares! We had the falafel with three tapas and the hamburger – and it was truly delicious! You'd think you were sitting in a restaurant in Tel Aviv! You won't find hummus like this anywhere in Europe; you'd have to travel to Israel for that. The falafel was really delicious (the last falafel I had that was this good was in Jerusalem), and the portions were really large and plentiful, enough to fill everyone up! The drinks were also great (the Jerusalem Spritz, for example). Both servers were very friendly – ​​we felt comfortable and were greeted with a warm welcome. We had to wait a bit at first, but the place was really busy. This meant it was a bit noisy inside at first, but that was still okay – and considering the food and ambiance, that's for sure! The interior is also beautifully decorated. The plants on the ceiling are truly stunning! Since it was my birthday, we also got dessert: ice cream with a few small chocolate cakes and a fountain! And that was also incredibly delicious! In summary: The numerous recommendations and their enthusiasm were definitely justified! We were very impressed and will definitely be back! A beautiful restaurant that will transport you to Israel for a moment, with very friendly staff and amazing food! Great value for money!

Food: good. Fresh. Well-seasoned. Service: okay. You can tell they're under pressure. You can forget your order, and after eating, you're immediately asked to leave because everyone only gets a table for two hours. "You know we need the table?" announcements during clearing. Too stressful for me personally. Ambience: relatively manageable. Reserve in advance. Otherwise, sitting inside can be difficult.

I recently visited Eclipse and tried falafel, a chicken skewer, and 10 mixed tapas. The quality of the meat and bread was quite decent, and the tapas selection was varied. However, the tapas didn't quite convince me in terms of taste, and for €34, I would have preferred slightly more generous portions. The main course was also rather small and came without a side dish – these must be ordered separately. The bread with the tapas was scarce, so we had to reorder twice. Furthermore, the wait between courses was noticeably longer. Overall, the visit unfortunately didn't quite meet my expectations – so I personally wouldn't go back.

Authentic Israeli cuisine! Excellent quality, reminded me of my trip through Israel and especially Tel Aviv. The quality of the food there at good places is not better or relatively the same. The Eclipse simply offers an authentic experience. TOP! Pleasant price/performance! Also a great selection for vegans/vegetarians. Hummus quality 1A. The menu also offers delicious fish dishes, as well as a targeted selection of Eastern European dishes - which, as a native of Eastern Europe, I will try next time. Can highly recommend a visit. Despite the tables being full, the service was quick, friendly and answered our questions since it was our first time there. The food also came very quickly and was absolutely excellent! Whether it was Israeli tapas or meat skewers, everything was of the best quality. We especially liked the dessert - an absolute dream! We will definitely come back and continue testing our way through the varied menu.

Food good, service friendly, interior not trendy and modernized and therefore very cozy. Even on a Friday evening with a full house, everything went very well: reservations were made, food came to the table correctly and without long waiting times, the dishes were tasty, the portions were fair. You can spend a nice evening here. Tip: The grilled duck heart skewer is a rare find on Munich menus - and is prepared very well here.

Very family friendly, good selection of vegetarian dishes, very good quality meat. I would particularly like to praise the attention when I asked about my onion allergy. The waitress took the trouble to talk to the chef and offer me an alternative.

Fantastic food! Restaurant was packed when we went, food still arrived in a nice tempo. The Tapas are great, especially the hummus, shug and the eggplant with tomatoes. I can also recommend the mixed BBQ platter if you're hungry, it's a nice big portion. The Tabule also tasted great. All in all I can definitely recommend coming here!

Review from an actual israeli: The prices are just a robbery in broad daylight i mean paying extra for a piece of bread and 7 euros for 3 falafel balls?? Almost 17 euros for ONE skewer like are you actually ok?? The cleanliness was terrible too the bar guy only cleans the bottles with water and no soap. Also non of them actually speak hebrew. The food was decent but the falafel was oily.

Im coming here single roughly 15 years and this place has constantly held a standard and provides exquisit food. There are fantastic Israeli, Levant and also Russian dishes on the menu and honestly, they are among the best in town. A true gem in Munich.
