Amazing in every way possible. Authentic food that tasted great, good selection with lots to choose from. Almost wish the portion was smaller so I could order more. Service on point and the owner was so friendly and humble. I will come back to Berlin just to visit this restaurant again

I really loved this restaurant, set in a very quiet place in Berlin. I enjoyed the amazing Nigerian traditional food and the friendly attitude of the staff!

Honestly, when I walked in, I was excited to try some Nigerian food, but I was quickly disappointed. The food was really poor. I don't say this lightly, but I believe we, as Nigerians, need to recognize when our food isn't up to par and work on improving it. I ordered jollof rice, beef, and plantain with a side of assorted stewed meat. First, the jollof rice didn't even taste like jollof and was completely flavorless. The rice had peas in it, which was odd. Worse still, the beef was fried so much that it became tough and hard to chew. The stewed meat is probably a 4/10. The only good part of the meal was the tender plantain, which ended up being the only thing I ate. Please fix your jollof. As a Nigerian and a cook myself, this was absolutely disappointing to the Nigerian community.

I'm not sure if I just don't like Nigerian cuisine or if the food actually wasn't tasty. I had Ogbono with yam dumplings and I found that it was very blandly seasoned and also tasted a bit rancid. The soup was also quite slimy, which was unusual. As I said, I don't know if it has to taste like that or not since it was my first time eating Nigerian food. In general, I am very open-minded when it comes to cuisine and enjoy new taste experiences. The finger food plantain with sauce was delicious. The service was quick and attentive but not particularly friendly.

I loved the food but but the customer care Gosh! The chef (and I think he's the owner) could benefit from some customer care training. It's like he's doing you a favour! Be sure to visit the bathroom after, not before the meals as you may get other thoughts!

Excellent for Nigerian dishes. I enjoyed it Totally. Few contrasting information from the workers with respect to booking ahead for special dishes (hours ahead). A bit pricy, paying for take away plates Payment card reader not working, had to go withdraw (ATM close by but X-change rate was high as well as added charges if card not in Euro). Having multiple card readers can help avert this instead of just one.

We had - nkwobi - egusi soup - vegetable soup Firstly a couple of things on the menu were unavailable. Also, I was told it'll be pounded yam, turned out to be poundo yam. Nkwobi was pretty ok, that's why you get 2 stars. Egusi soup and vegetable soup were both bland. I can't believe they lacked flavor. If you miss Nigerian food, order from a caterer online, not worth it here in my opinion.

Was there a couple of times and will return. Here was my first experience with egussi soup so I do not have much reference, but they got me craving it! Went once with friends and if anyone had leftovers I would finish them off because it was so delicious. Last time the food was a bit too salty, but that was never an issue before and I will go again. I have only been there on good weather and sat outside and it was really pleasent. Would recommend ordering any of the stews instead of the Jollof rice. I am unsure if there is any vegetarian option besides the friend plantain since most stews had dried fish in them.

Very nice atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately it took over 40 minutes for the food to be served to us. The portions seemed small and the taste of the food was not very intense.

Location wasn't particularly nice, the portion was super small and the meat was of really bad quality and the rice was tasteless. We also waited a relatively long time for the food, ordering was relatively complicated and the service was relatively reserved. At normal prices, unfortunately a disappointment on every level.

When you press your order you don't wait forever. The food well cooked the meat is always soft. Definitely I will go again.

Good Nigerian food, the taste could be more intense. The portions have become smaller and the prices are more expensive. The atmosphere seems very cool. Cash payment only. The service only understands English. And no dogs are allowed.

It's a shame, I would have liked to try Nigerian cuisine. But when my wife and I discovered the restaurant today by chance and I took a cell phone photo of the restaurant sign as a reminder to visit later, the restaurant owner came out and complained that I had to ask him before I took a photo of his restaurant make. This is simply wrong and we will look for another, friendlier restaurant to get to know African cuisine.

The food was good but waay too over priced for the small portions, like 15/16€ for Yamskloß with small portion of stew, service was also not the best but okay

Das Restaurant serviert nigerianische Spezialitäten in unspektakulärer Umgebung. Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr neutral gehalten aber sehr geräumig. Die Speisekarte ist relativ übersichtlich gehalten. Wer sich in der Nigerianischen bzw. Westafrikanischen Küche auskennt wird die Klassiker wie gebackene Kochbananen, Yaam und Jollofreis erkennen. Die Portionen für Vor- und Hauptspeisen sind ordentlich und einfach gehalten. Die Kochbananen und die Yaam Sticks sind knusprig gebacken, der Jollofreis und das Fleischgericht sehr schmackhaft und gut gewürzt. Es gibt gutes nigerianisches Bier in großen Flaschen. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr professionell und ausnehmend freundlich. Preismäßig bewegen sich die Speisen im guten Durchschnitt, so dass ich dieses Restaurant gerne für alle empfehle, die mal etwas anderes ausprobieren möchten.

I have been here multiple times. The food is okay, I haven’t tried the entire menu but overall the taste is good.the servings are rather small but overall it’s good for Berlin. The owner/manager is VERY ARROGANT AND RUDE. As a customer you want to be treated with respect and courtesy. Not treated like you’re wasting someone’s time while you spend your money. It's a waste of time to get there, the restaurant was closed on Sunday 01/07/2024 yet they did not mention it on their Google page. I got stuck in the cold☹️

The restaurant was closed since a month and no update was provided anywhere, still the website showed possibility to reserve table, Even i got online confirmation of my reservation. How annoying would it be after reserving and reaching the restaurant to find it shut down.

Atmosphere- It’s the worst place to eat, toilet door does not close and you can smell the stench from the toilet while eating, we complained and they tried to use cheap air fresheners, which made it worse. Food - Definitely not Nigerian food, the stew was just tomato sauce(you can tell from the picture attached) and the palm oil from the soups tasted spoilt, tasted nothing like Nigerian food, and oh the fried plantain is fried UNRIPE plantain, I don’t know why they call themselves Nigerian soul food Service- Rude waiters, who didn’t inform us when we came in they only accept cash(neither was there a sign on the door that stated that), and we bad to walk in the cold to an ATM to withdraw. Bill was €90.3(quite overpriced for the kind of food I ate and couldn’t finish) and the ATM dispenses just €10 bills, I came back with €90 and they started a tantrum saying I needed to bring 0.3, and I didn’t need any extra euro to withdraw €100 and be left with €9.7 euros I wouldn’t use as I was leaving Germany the next day and was willing to pay that by card, but the waiter wasn’t having it and told me I had to get a cent/coin. Well thanks to a kind gentleman who settled it and offered to pay the 3cents. And I told them I was gonna leave a bad review, in her words(the waiter/manager) “we don’t care”, says a lot about the kind of service you’re gonna get. I would highly recommend you look for other places to eat if you don’t feel like wasting your money or regretting afterwards.

Hatte heute einen sehr spontanen und tollen Abend hier. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, das Team sehr freundlich und fix. Ich war auch überrascht, wie günstig es am Ende war. Ich komme gern wieder!

Waren bei über 400 Bewertungen und 4,2 Sterne via Google sehr neugierig und optimistisch. Wir waren auf der Durchreise in Richtung Hamburg. Komme selbst aus dem Gastgewerbe und weis wie das so ist, wenn Kunden in letzter Minute hineinschneien. Andererseits weis ich dass Kundenzufriedenheit das A.O ist, wenn man will, dass Sie wiederkommen und vor allem üppiges Trinkgeld zahlen. Ich wollte zuerst nur einen Stern geben, weil ich bereits während meines Aufenthaltes die Bewertung geschrieben habe und wirklich enttäuscht war. Doch die freundliche Reaktion auf meinen Unmut, stimmten mich positiv und hoffnungsvoll für das nächste mal. Hab gegen 20:40 Uhr extra angerufen und gefragt, wann Küchenschluss ist damit ich nicht letzter Sekunde Arbeit beschere. Habe explizit gefragt ob wir kommen können, wenn wir essen wollen oder nicht . Habe mich in Absprache mit einer Frau am Telefon darauf geeinigt vorher unser Essen zu bestellen damit die Küche die Bestellung schon mal aufnehmen kann. Komme an, werde relativ unhöflich empfangen und in einem kurzem knappen Kommando Ton (!) wird mir ein Tisch „zugewiesen“ wenn man „Sit Down“ als zuweisen bezeichnen kann. Absolut nicht einladend noch lange nicht freundlich. (Kein Lächeln und hatte das starke Gefühl, dass ich noch willkommen war) Hab mich schließlich irgendwie an einen Tisch gesetzt und gewartet. In diesem Zeitraum wurde mir lediglich eine Schale mit Besteck hingestellt. Ob ich etwas trinken möchte, hat niemanden interessiert - eine Karte gabs auch nicht. Blickkontakt von der Frau, die mich empfangen hat, gab es reichlich aber bedient wurde ich nicht (ich wartete derzeit auf meine Begleitung und auf scheinbar schon auf unser Essen) Aber eigentlich ist es nicht der Kunde, der den Kellner fragt, ob man was zu trinken bekommen könnte. Schließlich will das Restaurant ja Geld verdienen… Ich dachte schon ich wurde missverstanden dass ich zum mitnehmen bestellt habe. Hab zwischenzeitlich überlegt einfach wieder zu gehen. Aber man weis was sich gehört und was nicht. Nachdem unser Essen angekommen ist wurde ich vom Chef(?) angesprochen und er hat sich dafür entschuldigt, dass das Essen zu spät kam. (Ich möchte hier betonen, dass ich mit der Wartezeit absolut zufrieden war!! Das Essen war für mein Empfinden sehr zügig zubereitet worden.) Ich habe diesmal jedoch aber Initiative ergriffen, um anzumerken, dass ich/wir leider NOCH IMMER nichts zu trinken haben, weil keiner nachgefragt hat. Daraufhin erst wurden uns Getränke serviert. Ich freue mich immer riesig darüber ein gutes afrikanisches heimatnahes Restaurant zu finden und meine Freunde für westafrikanische Küche zu begeistern! Umso trauriger macht es mich wenn solche wirklich EINFACHEN Sachen wie ein freundliches Auftreten nicht gewährleistet werden. Die Zufriedenheit von Kunden ist wirklich nicht zu unterschätzen. Glückliche Kunden (meistens) geben A üppiges Trinkgeld B: empfehlen ein Restaurant wieder und C: KOMMEN GERNE wieder. Da reicht manchmal einfach nur ein Lächeln bei der Begrüßung, auch wenn man einen langen Tag hinter sich hat. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und authentisch. Die Preise sind für die Portionen Okey und man ist danach definitiv satt. Beim Bezahlen habe ich genau das was ich hier geschrieben habe negativ angemerkt. Die Kritik , dass ich mir mehr Freundlichkeit und Servicequalität wünsche, wurde (aus meiner Perspektive) gut aufgenommen und war, so hoffe ich, nachvollziehbar. Wir haben 2€ Trinkgeld gegeben bei einer Rechnung von 33,00€. Das Essen war lecker der Service aber ausbaufähig. Wenn ein Restaurantbesuch ein absolut positives Erlebnis war, sind wir immer bereit dies mit deutlich mehr Trinkgeld anzuerkennen. Ich freue mich auf ein nächstes mal. Wenn es aber wieder so läuft wird die Bewertung korrigiert. —————— Ich will mich ganz herzlich dafür bedanken, dass ich auf das vergessene Handy aufmerksam gemacht wurde und die Abholung so gut funktioniert hat!!

Absolut authentische nigerianische Küche. Klare Empfehlung

Hmmm I went to Ebano with so much expectation, but got disappointed. The waiters lied to my colleagues and I that they would serve us pounded yam only for her to bring semovita. Nothing has been so disappointing since I have been visiting Berlin and other places in Germany. My advise is that they should serve customers what is ordered and if they do not have it, they should be honest. No harm will be done and it’s not a crime

Das Restaurant und das Essen machen auf mich einen sehr authentischen Eindruck. Es war sehr gut besucht und unter den Gästen waren auch sehr viele Afrikaner, was sicherlich auch ein gutes Zeichen ist. Wir waren zu sechst hier, weil wir neugierig auf die nigerianische Küche waren. Und offensichtlich waren wir etwas überfordert mit der Auswahl. Die Bedienung konnte uns leider auch nicht hilfreich beraten. Unterm Strich würde ich Deutschen eher abraten von PY Yamskloß mit Oha, Bitterleaf oder Ogbono aufgrund des Geruchs, Geschmacks und der außergewöhnlichen Konsistenz 😅 Aber probiert es gerne selbst aus.😉

Took me 1hr to get here at exactly 21:00 from my hotel only to be told the kitchen is closed meanwhile the closing time clearly states 22:00

The worst food I’ve ever eaten. And the service is very poor I asked them to refry my fish again after tasting and seeing it wasn’t well cooked but they refused No restaurant will ever refuse this And the jollof rice wasn’t looking or tasting like one . Bad customer service

Highly recommend for anyone craving the authentic west African delicacy in Berlin

Wenn man auf die explizite Nachfrage ob man wirklich gerne scharf ist leichtfertig mit "ja" antwortet muss man ggf wie ich etwas leiden. Nichtsdestoweniger war das Essen wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Der Service war grundsätzlich gut aber die Selbstverständlichkeit von Englisch bekommt einen Stern Abzug. Wir kommen aber insgesamt gerne wieder!

Food wasn’t good, expected better.

Das letzte Mal war das Essen sehr scharf und ich hatte Schwierigkeiten, es zu essen. Dieses Mal ist es super lecker und ich gebe gerne fünf Sterne.

Ich war das letzte Mal vor Corona dort, aber damals ein paar Mal und ich kann die negativen Kommentare hier nicht bestätigen. Fand es immer sehr lecker, aber scharfes Essen muss man halt mögen. Ist nicht für jeden etwas. Ich liebe es. Fand den Service auch immer gut, als Berliner habe ich da schon ganz andere Erfahrungen gemacht. Das Ambiente könnte etwas gemütlicher sein, aber ich finde es vollkommen ok. Nach allem, was ich weiß, ist das Essen auch recht authentisch, was ja auch nicht selbstverständlich ist. Ich will auf jeden Fall demnächst wieder hin. Schade, dass die nicht zu mir nach Hause liefern :-D

The treatment I got there was very hostile, rude and unprofessional from the manager or whoever that guy was. Thats not a place I would want to go again or advise anyone to go to. If you visit Berlin and you're African, especially Nigerian or love African food and you don't visit here, you have done a dis-service to yourself. The food is awesome. It ranges between 10 - 20 Euros and it is worth every penny.

This was the most blandest jollof rice I’ve ever tasted. In fact, I don’t think what I ate even qualifies as Jollof - it was bland white rice mixed with a bland tomato paste. Ah! Shocking.

The service was very friendly and the food very delicious. I really can recommend this restaurant!

Hey! Wir waren gestern da. Der Jollof Reis war wirklich schlecht, mit Jollof hatte es geschmacklich nichts zutun. Totaler Reinfall und wir waren schockiert, dass man das Nationalgericht in solch einer Qualität anbietet. Fried Plantain und Maniok waren geschmacklich gut, aber nur 4 Scheiben Plantain?! Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient, das war gut. Aber dann die Preise- das ist es echt nicht wert... Schade!

First time trying Nigerian food and it was delicious : fresh , generous and tasty. I had not even the time to take a picture this time but for sure next time . The service was excellent and our waiter recommended us very well . I had a dish with spinach and fish really amazing and we also tried meat , perfectly cooked tender and full of flavors. The owner took care to come to all the tables and welcomed us very warmly. Very recommended.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit Aussenterasse, ruhig gelegen, mit mehreren Tischen und Bänken, sehr nette Belegschaft und gut gelauntem Kellner! Das haben wir bestellt: Gebratene Bananen mit Yam, Jollof mit Reis (scharf), FuFu mit Spinat... Klare Empfehlung!

Waren mit Gutschein zu zweit dort. Ehrlichgesagt selten so schlecht gegessen. Hatten Suppe mit Ziegenfleisch und als Hauptspeise Rindfleisch mit Fisch. Keine Ahnung ob das typisch nigerianische Küche ist, aber wir konnten nichts davon im Ansatz genießen. Service sehr unpersönlich, dazu drinnen auch alles sehr ungemütlich gehalten. Vielleicht finden das Nigerianer toll, hier gibts dafür keinen Applaus. Spart das Geld und bringt es auf die Bank, selbst bei negativem Zins habt ihr mehr davon!!!!!

Nice place to get good Nigeria food in Berlin

Das Essen war gut! Passt auf, falls es euch die Schärfe ungewöhnlich ist, es gibt einige echt scharfe Gerichte. Wir sind hin, weil wir so die Nigerianische Küche nie ausprobiert haben. Ich habe Reis mit Kokosnuss Stew bestellt, aber es war typisch Curry mit Kokosnusssoße. Ich hätte lieber, was anders bestellen sollen. Die frittierten Bananen waren lecker.

Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so lecker gegessen wie im Ebe Ano. Joloff-Rice mit Beef und am nächsten Tag Coconut-Stew mit Beef. Dazu eine sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung, mit der man sich angenehm unterhalten kann. Ich hatte mich schon bei meiner Reiseplanung darauf gefreut nigerianisch essen zu gehen. Eine sehr gute Entscheidung!

Absolutely delicious food! Especially the pounded yam + soup (I've had okra & egussi) are full of flavor and incredibly satisfying! The side dishes (fried plantains etc.) are all really tasty too! The atmosphere is okay, ask if you can sit outside when you make a reservation - it's certainly nicer.

This Restaurant has very bad customer service, and after they messed up the food I ordered and delivered a food that belongs to someone else, they told me I should come pick it up myself even though I made my order via liferando and was also being rude on the phone!! And mind you, this is not the first time they mess up orders!!! Please avoid this place if you can, there are better Nigerian restaurant you can enjoy proper food at!!! The person on the phone in this restaurant should learn what is called “Humility”

If there were negative stars, it would be perfect for this restaurant. They served me completely different food than what I ordered and I ordered three set of meals, one takeaway, imagine the pain of getting home with very different tasteless food. This was my first time here and will be the last. As a Nigerian, I know Nigerian food and this wasn’t it. If I wanted to eat mediocre food I would have not gone to a Nigerian restaurant . I don’t know how you can make Jollof rice pale and bland (tasteless). If you want Nigerian food don’t come to this restaurant. How does this photo below look like jollof rice

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Valentines day with my other half whos Nigerian while visiting Berlin. So far one of the best Nigerian food av ever eaten in a restaurant. Super clean and the waitresses are friendly.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen! Wir kamen als eine 8tee Gruppe und das Personal war so herzlich. Essen kam schnell und am Ende gab es sogar einen leckeren lokalen Liquor vom Chef.

Since I started eating out in Germany, this is the worst food ever. Totally wasted 22 Euros. The soup tasted VERY OLD. Same with the Yam flour. It was obvious the food was not 👎 FRESH. In my opinion, they store cooked food and then make it warm later to serve the customers. In my house, I don't eat foods that has been made over 24 hours. Honestly, I didn't feel happy eating here. But you can always try.

If you visit Berlin or live in Berlin and haven't visited Ebe ano restaurant it means you ain't rolling! Food perfect, services perfect, hospitality perfect and atmosphere international combined with naija happy modes... Y'all are heartily invited.

Got two packs of food. Pounded yam with Egusi and Rice with Stew. Loved the pounded yam with Egusi but the stew for the rice was not so spicy at all. It was mostly just Tomatoes. Told the chef about this and he said he caters to Europeans first and then Africans. So he makes his stew not so spicy for that reason.

Okra mit Fufu und Rindfleisch hat gut geschmeckt. Und ich habe zum ersten Mal die gekochten Bananen gegessen und sie waren richtig lecker. Das Essen ist zu scharf, also wenn man kein scharfes Essen mag dann sollte vorher Bescheid sagen(was ich total vergessen habe😅)

Pretty authentic Nigerian dishes with a fair price point…The egusi and oha soup were very tasty and the ambience was nice.

Ein herzlicher Empfang vom Service Team. Location mega schön - Afrika Flair inkl Musik. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter haben Spaß und lachen mit ihren Gästen. Essen & Getränk passt von der Preisklasse her. Definitiv eine weiter Empfehlung für alle die was neues wollen und die Nigerianische Küche lieben / probieren wollen. Edit: Nach einem Jahr wieder dort gewesen. Weiterhin gute Bedienung ,Ambiente passend zur Musik. Stets ein Erlebnis

War voll gut. Die Kellnerinnen waren mega freundlich und haben uns gut konsultiert. Würde wieder kommen. Die Gerichte sind alle nicht scharf, man muss nach extra scharfe fragen.
