Eat Happy in Bad Zwischenahn

We were in Bad Zwischenahn for a training course and stayed at the hotel. It's a very nice hotel with good rooms and friendly staff. And the food is delicious, too. It's good value for money.

Always an experience with super delicious food and top service.

Nice restaurant with a terrace overlooking the sea! Really cozy inside too! Sat on the terrace and were served by a very nice lady. Drinks prices were ok! My wife had also tried very tasty kibbelinge juicy fish with Croser breading! Unfortunately I was disappointed with my Labskaus, quite a small portion and not tasty either. Mine was most likely made with corned beef and there wasn't much of a side dish for the price. I should have ordered something else! The spaghetti with prawns smelled very good and the portion was decent and was ordered several times! We sat inside later and treated ourselves to an aperol! Despite the Labskau, a very nice stay and the evening, especially the sunset, was great!

Wunderschön direkt am See gelegen, allerdings in einem gruseligen Wohnblock. Aber man sollte den Blick auf den See richten, dann sieht man das Haus nicht. Zum Kaffee auf der Terrasse ganz gut, der Kuchen (Auswahl zwischen zwei Sorten) mittelmäßig. Die Bedienung deutlich überlastet und überfordert, eilte mit Speisen mehrfach quer über die Terrasse und suchte, wer es wohl bestellt haben könnte. Aber bestimmt lernfähig und auch ganz nett. Also insgesamt mit viel Potential nach oben.

We had dinner at Ahrenshof with another couple. The ambience is ok, but that day the restaurant was so full of “cabbage drivers” that the noise was unbearable 😩 and normal conversation at our table was not possible. The service is good; The order was taken quickly and the food was delivered promptly. Unfortunately, the food we ordered wasn't what we actually expected. The 3 half herrings disappeared under a sauce, the bean salad was an unrecognizable puree and the fried potatoes were warmed up and swimming in fat. The meat dish was also not freshly prepared, but also warmed up. After eating we told the waitress our experiences; Not a word of regret, just “I’ll pass it on to the kitchen.” For us it was a “used” evening! The dinner did not meet our expectations, but the price was unreasonable😡 We will not visit the Ahrenshof again for dinner or recommend it to others!
