We arrived just before the kitchen closed and were still able to order. The fries are outstanding! The pastrami sandwich was also great. So was the mashed potatoes with spinach. Huge portions and all the ingredients are very fresh! The staff was very friendly and approachable. In short: highly recommended and we'll be back!

I ordered takeout 20 minutes in advance. "No problem." When I arrive on time, I'm told it's five more minutes. When I dare to politely ask after another ten minutes, I'm suddenly and aggressively yelled at, saying they're not McDonald's, and asked if I'm imagining that I'm being given priority as a caller. After another ten minutes, I finally get my food.

The place can probably fit 20 people maximum, and we still waited about an hour for our food. In addition to regular tables with regular chairs, there are also hipster "tables" consisting of three crates of Coke and hipster "chairs" consisting of two crates of Coke (horrible). The "plates" are slate slabs that drip with sauce. It looks chic, but is extremely impractical. The chef who plates the food doesn't wear gloves and wipes his hands on his T-shirt after every step... The food wasn't particularly tasty either. It looks chic from the outside, but overall it's pretty disappointing... Update: After my review, I received a very professional message on Instagram (see screenshot), but was apparently immediately blocked, so I'd like to comment here on the criticisms raised. 1) Two other women entered the restaurant before us and were told that two "tables" were still free and they could choose one. Since we were DIRECTLY behind them, we heard it and sat down at the other FREE table. So, strictly speaking, we didn't ask again whether the table was free for US and not just for others. Sorry. 2) I hope this wasn't generally misunderstood, but our annoyance was obviously not that we, as the last guests to arrive, were the last to get our food, but rather that the long wait times weren't communicated. Everyone is free to form their own opinion about everything else :)

I celebrated my birthday there in a small way and we got a nice table for four people with a prior reservation. Everything was great! It tasted great and the price is really awesome for these huge portions! I will come back 🥰 We can recommend: the Shiitake Togu Sandwich, the Goat Cheese Sandwich, the Pulled Pork Sandwich, the Homemade Fries and Sweet Potato Fries!

The food was really delicious. The atmosphere was also nice and clean. Only deducted one star because unfortunately we sat on these uncomfortable beer crates. You should reserve in advance. And a star deduction for the service because we waited a really long time for the food. But you can also understand it when everything is freshly prepared and everything is full. But overall it was still worth 5 stars. There's a lot worse than sitting on beer crates and waiting for delicious food :D

Even if it looks inconspicuous from the outside, you can expect exceptionally delicious food and a very friendly team inside. The portions are large enough and the Trinity can only be done by two people. There's nothing to complain about when it comes to the prices either. Keep it up!!!

Unfortunately we cannot make any statements about the food. The shop was open and unfortunately we were sent away because there was probably nothing there yet. Sitting, waiting, having a drink was not offered. Too bad

Second visit to Erfurt and second visit to the EAT. Since the store only has very few seats, it is advisable to reserve in advance. We were spontaneously lucky. Great freshly prepared food at a reasonable price. I particularly liked the sweet potato fries, and my husband really liked the bread salad from the daily menu. Our two teenagers are also enthusiastic and want to come back here the next time we come to Erfurt.

Cash Only! But we didn’t know and they chased us as we walked away to say we could eat and come back the next day to pay. But beyond phenomenal service, the food was amazing. Pulled pork sandwich cooked perfectly with a healthy amount of zesty bbq sauce paired open faced with a toasted rye bread… mushroom sandwich was the best meal in Germany my wife has ever had! Highly recommend!

Super tasty there, the portions are really big, the quality is top and the dishes are unusual. I had mashed potatoes that were so good, I've never had such good mashed potatoes before. The pulled pork and arancini were also delicious. Also very nice staff. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back when we're in Erfurt.

I've been here several times and always left satisfied. Each dish is well thought out and perfectly coordinated both visually and in terms of taste. Cozy atmosphere and great selection of music 😉 Even without a reservation, the crew will do everything so that you get a place. Always happy again!

Heavenly street food experience – an absolute must! I have rarely experienced a street food restaurant that shows so much attention to detail - both in the dishes and the ambience. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the inviting scents and warm atmosphere. The decor is modern and cozy, with a charming urban feel that fits perfectly with the street food culture. The menu is a real highlight: a diverse mix of street food classics and creative interpretations. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced spices and a presentation that appeals to the eye as much as the taste pampers the senses. The service was also first class: friendly, attentive and with a passion for the food that you can feel. Even special requests were fulfilled with a smile. Price-performance? Simply great! I would have paid more for the quality and taste. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves street food or wants to experience it in perfection. I'll definitely be back!

This place is just so perfect. For a reasonable price you receive huge portion of the food that tastes like nothing you ever tried before (in a good way). We had Thuringen Wrap and mashed potatos + sweet potato fries. It was just perfect, delicious and absolutely surprising. Thanks for that!

I've only eaten fries there so far, but they were actually the best I've had so far. A bit tight and unfortunately only cash payment possible. But the staff is friendly, quick and the food was great. Definitely again and then try everything else.

You can save yourself having to specify the opening times. We've been there several times around lunchtime and each time the shop wasn't open yet, mind you on the weekend during the supposed opening hours, because something had to be prepared...

Never had such delicious mashed potatoes before, a taste explosion! We are good eaters but couldn't manage the portions. Very nice staff, small but nice shop. Be sure to make a reservation in the evening, unfortunately many people were turned away because there was no space left.

Uhhh unbelievably awesome mashed potatoes! Even better with pastrami than with pulled pork. We would like to invite you to catering at Lake Constance 😉... When we come to Erfurt, we will make a reservation. The food took a while to arrive but it was worth every minute of the wait.

Ich war spontan alleine an einem Freitagabend im EAT, ich habe Glück gehabt an einem kleinenTisch noch einen Platz zu bekommen. Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht, hier steht das Essen im Vordergrund. Der Service ist freundlich (war ich der Einzige,der gesiezt wurde, wahrscheinlich bin ich jetzt wirklich alt ?😃), ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Zum Essen kann ich sagen,dass ich eine ausgezeichnete Interpretation von zart gegartem Rippchen mit tollen Relish und Beilagen genießen konnte. Es war ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis! Das EAT ist das Highlighg meiner gastronomischen Erlebnisse in Erfurt während meiner Dienstreise. Natürlich eine klare Empfehlung

The best restaurant in Erfurt, and for me personally - the best ever! The food deserves a Michelin star, everything I've tried here so far - especially the wraps and the mashed potatoes - was a pure taste explosion. The prices are consistent and really fair. The ambience has its own style and the music is really good! If you're in Erfurt, definitely try it out ❤️

The food looks photo-worthy, tastes sensational and there is nothing to complain about in terms of the portion size. There is something special about the taste of every meal, even the fries. The choice of food is good, I like the Dutch influence which is just one of many. Simply delicious. In terms of beer, I think you could also switch to something more special, but there is delicious soda. The staff takes good care of the guests.

What can you say other than keep it up. Both waitresses were so nice, communication was very important, not because it is a noun, and the chef knows what he is doing. The three of us were here today with our dogs and we weren't disappointed. The vegetarian taco in particular was a hit. Super tasty, well prepared and excellently seasoned. None of the dishes were bland or boring. The music was also good and the owner?? It was really nice and we started talking. Our dog was immediately given a bowl of water and there was even a basket in which he lay down for a moment. A lovely evening and the food was exceptionally good and creative. We come from Cologne and I don't currently know of any comparable stores. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Erfurt, a real stroke of luck

Small restaurant with super nice people and even better food, a real insider tip for visitors and locals

If you like street food, Eat in Erfurt is an absolute MUST. There are exceptional dishes that taste really good and are very well prepared. The portions are very large, you can only get enough here. You should therefore think carefully about taking an appetizer in advance. The owners are extremely friendly and there is a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, 3 weeks ago we were only in Erfurt for a weekend trip for a large family reunion (13) from D, HH and DD and can't enjoy it more often. Everyone was definitely excited! THANK YOU to the team for a great taste experience.

A small place to feel good. The service is very attentive and works quickly, although there is always time for small talk with the guests. The order was served in a suitable time period and was an upbeat highlight. You could see straight away that the food was freshly prepared. My food was a bit too seasoned for my taste, although I have to say that I'm a bit particular about it. But all in all, everything was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was 100% right.

Stars suspect food, service super good - just to enjoy

We went to a concert in Erfurt in July and had previously reserved a table for 6 p.m. Since our feet were already flat from all the shopping at 5 p.m., we tried our luck at Eat at that time. Understandably, our reserved table wasn't free yet, but we were allowed to sit outside as the house was very busy. The water and wine arrived quickly and were very tasty. When ordering the dishes, we were made aware that one specialty contained a bit of everything and was so plentiful that both of us would be satisfied. After a short consultation on our part, we only ordered one meal (ribs, pulled pork and pastrami), which left us more than satisfied and we were more than thrilled with the quality and consistency. Our feeling is that you are too cheap for your quality and service. We'll definitely see each other again!

The food here is really really good. The fries with the various dips are especially delicious! The sandwiches and the portions in general are super large for the price. The side salads are great too! The service is super friendly! Always nice to eat here.

Stopped in Erfurt on the way through. The growing hunger made us look for somewhere to eat. Became aware of EAT through internet research. And we were not disappointed in any way. The food came very quickly and was beautifully prepared, really great looking dishes and plates. Little things make the difference. The portions were huge and the price was completely reasonable. We were always full and sometimes even had to leave something behind. Bottled beer and curbside seating on drink crates add to the charm. Absolute recommendation. The only drawback is the lack of card payment options.

Today was the first time in beautiful Erfut and luckily I landed here to quench my hunger and thirst. Very nice, small and fine restaurant. I had the home made fries, which were a poem, fries prepared so well, super delicious dips, just perfect! Plus the delicious pulled pork sandwich, just great. I'm looking forward to the next visit! Small update: This is my third time here and I have to say my expectations have been exceeded every time. No matter what I ate, it was always a pleasure.
