Great shop, great atmosphere even during the week, but Julia hasn't been there for a long time and therefore only 4/5 stars

Great food. My friends and I tried the burgers, and they were delicious. The burgers are truly something special. The staff is friendly and regularly checks in on the customers. The pub's ambiance is good, but it loses a point because the tables are a bit too low. Tall people easily get their legs stuck under the table.

I had an excellent experience! From the start the service was exceptional. The team was friendly, helpful and really cared about my concerns. The food was mega! Especially these absolutely amazing fries🤤... The ambience speaks for itself and I will definitely come here again and recommend it to others!!

We just spent a wonderful evening my daughter and I, Guinness, burgers, you name it! Everything was great! A big THANKS to Julia the waitress who with no doubt knows how to make people feel comfortable! She is nice, funny, a big smile on her face, not only with us but with every customer! The place is a disaster! The burger was not cooked well. Bad service, and little for the number of diners. The atmosphere was also not very pleasant, but perhaps the only “acceptable” part of the experience.

Unfriendly service and long waiting times. We waited over an hour for drinks during the week when the shop was half empty and then the waitress complained. Not recommended.

The offer and service is very good! I had a vegetarian burger with an egg. Unfortunately the burger sauce wasn't anything special, which is why the burger wasn't great but otherwise tasted good.

A very fun evening with karaoke - again and again!

The food and drinks came quickly even though it was very busy. We were served by Julia and the service was great! Totally personable and very attentive, just as you could wish for. We had a great evening with delicious food and would love to come back. 👍

Nice location, but but ... I know the DUKE from Hanover, which was always excellent and we were looking forward to the burgers at the DUKE in Göttingen: what a disappointment: the meat of the burger 🍔 was a compressed patty with strong seasoning, worse than a burger King. We haven't eaten something so inferior in a long time. The prices are totally overpriced for such poor quality. What happened to the good burgers? New management and purchasing of inferior goods. It's a shame because the location is very nice. Unfortunately the music was so loud (5:30 p.m.) that we had to ask the waiter to turn the rock music down a little; we noticed that they were gossiping about us... no professional behavior from the staff. Well, that was our last visit.. FIVE Guys is 100% better in terms of quality... even if they don't have karaoke!

A really nice bar on two levels. The staff is really very attentive and polite. Despite the store being full, the service has everything in view and no one has to wait long. We were there on a Saturday for a karaoke evening and can only recommend it. Thumbs up for this location and the associated employees.

Unfortunately, the service and quality in this location has declined significantly. We waited 45 minutes for our first drink. Sometimes the food came before the drinks. We were given dirty glasses and the waitress only replaced them at our insistence. Service was complete chaos. We could have easily consumed three times as much if we had gotten the drinks quicker. It's a shame, the store has a lot of potential but the attitude of the employees would also have to change. When we paid we were asked if everything was OK. was - my colleague then denied that and also justified it. Instead of apologizing, it was completely dismissed. It's a shame when questions are asked but the feedback is not accepted. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the toilets was also poor and a bit disappointing.

The food was good, the service was attentive, even if she once confused whiskey with gin in our group - but we hadn't drunk so much before to not notice that ;) Unfortunately, the IPA beer was out, otherwise there was but a good selection of drinks for a social evening. The live music on Saturday wasn't Irish, but American country-style, not really my thing. Overall, a nice and fun evening!

We were at the Duke last night with 8 people. Table ordered a good 8 weeks ago for 7 p.m. At the beginning everything was fine, a bit loud and crowded but ok. Ordering drinks and food was also quick...around 7:15 p.m. Drinks came after a good 20 minutes, just ok... At 8:15 p.m. we asked about our food and the answer we got was 'it will take at least another 25 minutes'... to our comment... 'at least? '....just said 'they have 120 places...! The waitress left and was not seen again... not even to pick up drinks again. Our table was avoided. At 9:15 p.m. our food arrived, which unfortunately wasn't really good. So not recommended, because if you can't serve 120 seats, then you shouldn't occupy all the tables at the same time.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at Duke. After more than two hours of waiting, our food arrived - and it was cold too. At first we were even served the wrong order. When the waitress realized her mistake, she took the food we had already tried and brought it straight to another table. Something like this is absolutely unacceptable and unhygienic. At no time were we informed that it would take so long, which made the situation even more frustrating. The noise level was also very high, which made a relaxing stay impossible. The ambience is appealing, but unfortunately that alone is not enough to justify a visit. One star - there really isn't anything more to it. We definitely won't visit this store again.

Wow… amazing burgers!! The Goliath and the Animal are gigantic... the sweet potato fries are a dream... the only thing that is a bit uncomfortable is the glass door, which opens every time staff/guests walk past it, which makes the room extremely cold, but that's just a side note... highly recommended.

Iconic pub in Göttingen with a large beer selection, delicious hearty food and great service. Tips include the beer tower that you can pour yourself at the table and the karaoke evening for even more of a good atmosphere!

We are a group of 5 people and we drank different beers and cocktails here. The atmosphere is very chill here due to karaoke. The people who work there are very polite.

When I heard from a friend here in Göttingen that the owner had changed, I had to go and after a long time we drove to Göttingen to take a look. I just say it's a shame what can be done so economically out of an Originals Irish Pub. This is a beer bar with a Fressburger. This Irish flair is no longer present here. We used to spend good old times here, but now, maybe good for the students, but it used to be better! For us, dS was the first and last visit. It has nothing to do with Originale anymore. The boss used to come to the table, ask if everything was okay, you were given cigars and you were the last to leave in the morning. Man, there's a food stall on that corner, but to spoil an Irish pub like that, go to Ireland, there's no fast food in the pub!

Had a hamburger and a Snakebite to drink for a total of €17, nothing else included... the hamburger was lukewarm and you had the feeling that it had been sitting around for a while.. I'm really not squeamish about food and I forgive a lot, but the burger was good for you Rest stop is in no way inferior.. very annoying for over €10 without everything… Even the review here is juicier than the burger! It's a shame because I also had a good meal with you... what happened Dukes? That was one of the worst burgers I've eaten unfortunately...

Very good manager who organizes everything well and is always in direct contact with the customer. The team is very friendly and competent 👍. The kitchen prepares the best delicacies for the guests. Every Friday and Saturday evening there is a great karaoke offer from 9 p.m.!!! Thank you for the lovely evenings!!! 😘

Nice “beer and burger” location! Centrally located, friendly service and a cool ambience over two levels with a kind of winter garden. Burgers are very good and they also serve refreshing cider on tap. Recommended!

Many people feel too hot because there is not enough ventilation

If it's karaoke night upstairs, you shouldn't sit in the "pub". Exorbitantly loud and annoying, Conversations are no longer possible - you just drink up as quickly as possible and leave. A pity!

We were very dissatisfied. We were there at 8 p.m. and just wanted something to drink. We called the waitress twice, but she didn't even look at us. After 30 minutes she went to the next table, which came much later than us. That was too stupid for us and we left. Service is 0. You should at least pay attention to the guests. A pity!

In summer it is really warm and stuffy. Especially on the upper floor. The pub quiz is fun in itself, but I like the concept with more rounds better. The winnings aren't that great either and unfortunately there's nothing for non-alcoholics. The prices are relatively high in comparison and I wouldn't recommend the chili cheeseburger fries. Service is okay. Ask frequently. For us, food came before drinks. It's a bit difficult on hot days because you quickly die of thirst. Somehow there was another billing error for which we were initially held responsible. That was unpleasant, but after a quiet conversation it wasn't a problem. But overall I didn't feel so comfortable and wouldn't come again...

I really like the atmosphere, especially on the karaoke evenings. However, it takes a lot of time for the service to take the order and deliver it. What bothers me most is that we were thrown out at 12:30 a.m. for the second time. The store was always full and the internet said it was open until 3:30 a.m. Should be revised if necessary.

So if you've ever been to a decent Irish pub in Ireland or even here in Germany, you'll notice that this place has absolutely nothing to do with an Irish pub. At most, Guinness beer is sold...

Don't bother going here. We called to make a reservation for karaoke. They confirmed the reservation. We showed up on time but they had given the reservation away. We have been regular customers for a long time but will never come back. They claim they called in advance to tell us, but this is a lie. They never called. All in all pretty good, unfortunately no longer a real Irish pub like we used to know or from other cities. The price was okay, unfortunately on both visits the conditions were 0 knowledgeable about whiskey and I had to pick out the whiskey on the tray and select it myself. It's not a catastrophe, but in an Irish pub I expect the standard whiskeys to be known 😅

If you are out at night you can satisfy your urge to urinate here

The waitresses are now poorly trained and do not understand the orders, the owner, who probably has a Polish accent, is definitely overwhelmed and incapable of criticism, very unfriendly customer service. Food is good, just a little expensive. The selection of drinks, however, is very good. Maybe stop by again sometime when things get better again.

Even on the second visit we didn't manage to serve the burger medium, Petty was cooked through, but wasn't dry, so it was still tasty, but you should stick to the cooking wishes here. Otherwise everything is ok.

Very tasty drinks, great service, karaoke unfortunately left a lot to be desired, your own song was pushed further and further back, so that after 2 hours it still didn't come on and the operator of the karaoke sang every third song himself..

Fries super tasty and crispy. Pink grapefruit lemonade not too sweet and good. Tartoufo tastes like the caramel sauce could be swapped for a fruit sauce in my opinion. It's a bit drafty in the rooms and a bit noisy, but otherwise nice. The service was great!!!😊😊😊

A really nice restaurant where you can eat very good burgers. Every day there is a special offer where you can save on a pitcher, for example. My burger with fries and a pintcher was inexpensive and really tasty.

When we asked where the drinks were, the counter question was: "Did you order them from me?"... But it's a new concept and not everyone has to like it. The small whiskey menu and the inflated prices fit in, but the complex renovation has to be refinanced quickly. The store has just lost its ambience. In the past, you could order something quickly, even when the store was packed. Nowadays, with 3/4 capacity, you have to wait a long time to be able to answer questions about the 2nd one! overwhelmed waitress is allowed to order. When two simple burgers were served about another 45 minutes later after the music ended, the drinks still weren't there! We gave the (third waitress, by the way) a minute to get them. Your question: “Did you order them from me?” After two minutes there was still nothing there. Then we ordered everything at the bar without anything to eat or drink and then left. Now suddenly everyone became quick. We were stopped at the door by waitress number 1 and asked if she should prepare the bill for us. Since we said no, a woman came rushing up who described herself as the “boss”. Lt. But this is a Felix business entry.... She immediately threatened to go to the police! We handed her our business cards and left. Let's see what happens. Definitely nothing more from us! We then ended the evening in a cozy, crowded little pub. Were served immediately! So it works.

Not recommended at all. Haven't been reachable by phone for 2 weeks and after being contacted via Instagram for !18! If we reserved a reservation for people and received a confirmation, the reservation was not written down and we were left looking stupid. The waiter was very annoyed and unfriendly.

We tried to call here so many times at least two weeks before the appointment, but no one answered. Then we made a reservation via Instagram for a Friday with food and karaoke. The appointment has been confirmed. But when we were here, the table wasn't reserved and the karaoke spots were full. We didn't get any compensation for it, even though it wasn't even our fault. The food was appropriate for the circumstances and the service was so-so. Unfortunately, this evening took away the impressions of previous evenings and meals here. I'm a little disappointed.
