A perfect place in Gottingen to spend the afternoon having a few beers, or whatever.

Never again, so bad and overpriced. Service took forever and was unfriendly. Drink was stale and didn't taste good. Criticism was only responded to rudely.

Burgers are delicious but waiting 30 minutes for a beer is too much.

When I heard from a friend here in Göttingen that the owner had changed, I had to go and after a long time we drove to Göttingen to take a look. I just say it's a shame what can be done so economically out of an Originals Irish Pub. This is a beer bar with a Fressburger. This Irish flair is no longer present here. We used to spend good old times here, but now, maybe good for the students, but it used to be better! For us, dS was the first and last visit. It has nothing to do with Originale anymore. The boss used to come to the table, ask if everything was okay, you were given cigars and you were the last to leave in the morning. Man, there's a food stall on that corner, but to spoil an Irish pub like that, go to Ireland, there's no fast food in the pub!

Had a hamburger and a Snakebite to drink for a total of €17, nothing else included... the hamburger was lukewarm and you had the feeling that it had been sitting around for a while.. I'm really not squeamish about food and I forgive a lot, but the burger was good for you Rest stop is in no way inferior.. very annoying for over €10 without everything… Even the review here is juicier than the burger! It's a shame because I also had a good meal with you... what happened Dukes? That was one of the worst burgers I've eaten unfortunately...

Food and drinks are OK. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes for your drinks.

A really great shop that we always enjoy coming to! The service is excellent and especially Julia has our hearts <3 very accommodating and just a great soul. The Duke is definitely worth a visit :)

Very good manager who organizes everything well and is always in direct contact with the customer. The team is very friendly and competent 👍. The kitchen prepares the best delicacies for the guests. Every Friday and Saturday evening there is a great karaoke offer from 9 p.m.!!! Thank you for the lovely evenings!!! 😘

Nice “beer and burger” location! Centrally located, friendly service and a cool ambience over two levels with a kind of winter garden. Burgers are very good and they also serve refreshing cider on tap. Recommended!

Many people feel too hot because there is not enough ventilation

If it's karaoke night upstairs, you shouldn't sit in the "pub". Exorbitantly loud and annoying, Conversations are no longer possible - you just drink up as quickly as possible and leave. A pity!

We were very dissatisfied. We were there at 8 p.m. and just wanted something to drink. We called the waitress twice, but she didn't even look at us. After 30 minutes she went to the next table, which came much later than us. That was too stupid for us and we left. Service is 0. You should at least pay attention to the guests. A pity!

In summer it is really warm and stuffy. Especially on the upper floor. The pub quiz is fun in itself, but I like the concept with more rounds better. The winnings aren't that great either and unfortunately there's nothing for non-alcoholics. The prices are relatively high in comparison and I wouldn't recommend the chili cheeseburger fries. Service is okay. Ask frequently. For us, food came before drinks. It's a bit difficult on hot days because you quickly die of thirst. Somehow there was another billing error for which we were initially held responsible. That was unpleasant, but after a quiet conversation it wasn't a problem. But overall I didn't feel so comfortable and wouldn't come again...

I really like the atmosphere, especially on the karaoke evenings. However, it takes a lot of time for the service to take the order and deliver it. What bothers me most is that we were thrown out at 12:30 a.m. for the second time. The store was always full and the internet said it was open until 3:30 a.m. Should be revised if necessary.

So if you've ever been to a decent Irish pub in Ireland or even here in Germany, you'll notice that this place has absolutely nothing to do with an Irish pub. At most, Guinness beer is sold...

Don't bother going here. We called to make a reservation for karaoke. They confirmed the reservation. We showed up on time but they had given the reservation away. We have been regular customers for a long time but will never come back. They claim they called in advance to tell us, but this is a lie. They never called. All in all pretty good, unfortunately no longer a real Irish pub like we used to know or from other cities. The price was okay, unfortunately on both visits the conditions were 0 knowledgeable about whiskey and I had to pick out the whiskey on the tray and select it myself. It's not a catastrophe, but in an Irish pub I expect the standard whiskeys to be known 😅

If you are out at night you can satisfy your urge to urinate here

The waitresses are now poorly trained and do not understand the orders, the owner, who probably has a Polish accent, is definitely overwhelmed and incapable of criticism, very unfriendly customer service. Food is good, just a little expensive. The selection of drinks, however, is very good. Maybe stop by again sometime when things get better again.

I was just there to have a Guinness with friends. The food looked okay but I can't say anything about the taste.

Even on the second visit we didn't manage to serve the burger medium, Petty was cooked through, but wasn't dry, so it was still tasty, but you should stick to the cooking wishes here. Otherwise everything is ok.

Very tasty drinks, great service, karaoke unfortunately left a lot to be desired, your own song was pushed further and further back, so that after 2 hours it still didn't come on and the operator of the karaoke sang every third song himself..

Fries super tasty and crispy. Pink grapefruit lemonade not too sweet and good. Tartoufo tastes like the caramel sauce could be swapped for a fruit sauce in my opinion. It's a bit drafty in the rooms and a bit noisy, but otherwise nice. The service was great!!!😊😊😊

Good atmosphere, delicious burger with fries. Draft beer and Irish flag - what more could you want. Great service, who had the full shop upstairs under control while doing karaoke and was always super friendly despite the enormous stress.

Gorgonzola burger was amazing, I really liked the ambience. The price for a half is a bit high for me tbh, it's a shame.

A really nice restaurant where you can eat very good burgers. Every day there is a special offer where you can save on a pitcher, for example. My burger with fries and a pintcher was inexpensive and really tasty.

We were there on Saturday evening and drank a dark beer as a group. There were lots of different people singing karaoke upstairs. The atmosphere was great!

One star is for the good live music, which was unfortunately a bit lost in the ignorant atmosphere of the ambience and audience. Applause to the musician! It's difficult to rate the service because we barely enjoyed it...we waited about 30 minutes to even place an order. We were able to observe how other groups left the restaurant early because of the great service... About 40 minutes after ordering, the food arrived. When we asked where the drinks were, the counter question was: "Did you order them from me?"... When we left the restaurant annoyed without food or drinks, the staff, who had rarely been seen until then, suddenly became agitated and quickly asked us whether we should prepare the bill... The “boss” who arrived was not aware of any guilt and was in no way accommodating. Always happy in the old Irish pub, NEVER again in the Duke!!!

Were there on Saturday evening. We were looking forward to a nice evening like we used to have in the Irish pub. The musician, unfortunately presented carelessly, was the only good thing in Dukes. But it's a new concept and not everyone has to like it. The small whiskey menu and the inflated prices fit in, but the complex renovation has to be refinanced quickly. The store has just lost its ambience. In the past, you could order something quickly, even when the store was packed. Nowadays, with 3/4 capacity, you have to wait a long time to be able to answer questions about the 2nd one! overwhelmed waitress is allowed to order. When two simple burgers were served about another 45 minutes later after the music ended, the drinks still weren't there! We gave the (third waitress, by the way) a minute to get them. Your question: “Did you order them from me?” After two minutes there was still nothing there. Then we ordered everything at the bar without anything to eat or drink and then left. Now suddenly everyone became quick. We were stopped at the door by waitress number 1 and asked if she should prepare the bill for us. Since we said no, a woman came rushing up who described herself as the “boss”. Lt. But this is a Felix business entry.... She immediately threatened to go to the police! We handed her our business cards and left. Let's see what happens. Definitely nothing more from us! We then ended the evening in a cozy, crowded little pub. Were served immediately! So it works.

Not recommended at all. Haven't been reachable by phone for 2 weeks and after being contacted via Instagram for !18! If we reserved a reservation for people and received a confirmation, the reservation was not written down and we were left looking stupid. The waiter was very annoyed and unfriendly.

We tried to call here so many times at least two weeks before the appointment, but no one answered. Then we made a reservation via Instagram for a Friday with food and karaoke. The appointment has been confirmed. But when we were here, the table wasn't reserved and the karaoke spots were full. We didn't get any compensation for it, even though it wasn't even our fault. The food was appropriate for the circumstances and the service was so-so. Unfortunately, this evening took away the impressions of previous evenings and meals here. I'm a little disappointed.

I was here today. Two employees went through the back door to smoke and left it open while smoking, allowing the smell of smoke and the cold to come in. a very unpleasant and inappropriate situation.

Ambience, drinks and service 5 stars. I found the chicken burger a bit disappointing. There were chicken fillets on the burger. I actually know chicken burgers deep fried as crispy on new burgers. It was okay but rather modest. Next time definitely beef burgers.

we had dinner yesterday. 3 out of 4 people suffered from stomach pain and vomiting after eating burgers and fries. There must be something wrong with this food. We pay a lot of money and actually go out and have health problems. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, but the food (burgers and fries) will never be ordered again.

Were here for karaoke... Unfortunately the list was almost filled out by the regular crew, which pretty much took the fun out of it. We also sat right at the front of the desk. Too bad for us and everyone else. Really only one star for that 👎🏻!!!!! The food and service were really great ❤️👍🏻

Getränke und Essen sportliche Preise

We went to Duke for the first time yesterday. We thought it was really great. Even without a reservation, we got a seat and were welcomed and looked after by a very friendly staff member. The food was also very good and plentiful at what I thought was a reasonable price. The limos were also very good. We really enjoyed it and we'll be back next time we're in town.

Ein echter Geheimtipp in Göttingen, solch ein unfassbar schönes Ambiente und das Essen war auch echt super. Probiert die Pommes. Echt Klasse! Über den Hamburger war ich leider nicht so erfreut. Hat zwar gut geschmeckt aber nichts besonderes. Trotzdem würde ich dort immer wieder essen.

Die Karaoke-Nacht ist kompliziert! Es gibt Lieblingsleute, die so viele Lieder singen, wie sie wollen... Ich habe erlebt, dass dieselbe Person 20 Lieder hintereinander gesungen hat. Am Ende haben nicht alle die Gelegenheit, mit dem Mikrofon zu spielen, denn das Haus hat bereits seine Favoriten.

Das essen war sehr gut, leider hatte das Personal an dem Abend zu viel zu tun und die Bestellungen konnten etwas schleppend getätigt werden. Aber so etwas kann passieren. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Waren gestern mit unseren Kindern im Dukes zum Burger futtern. Die Burger waren sehr lecker und die Pommes waren lecker und kross.... Haben für 5 Burger Pommes und Getränke 126 Euro bezahlt. Fand ich fair !!!! Service war gut,wurden zwischendurch gefragt ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Waren sehr zufrieden!

Tolle Atmosphäre. War dort Freitag und Samstag da für das Karaoke. Die Stimmung ist sehr ausgelassen und freundlich. Vom Gesangsanfänger bis sprichwörtlich Profi, ist alles dabei. Man kommt mit anderen sehr schnell ins Gespräch. Die Altersklasse ist sehr gemischt vom Studenten bis hin Mitte 40. Top!

Ungelogen, kein Plan wer sich das mit Karaoke ausgedacht hat, aber dass ist der absolute Quatsch. Da ich echt kein Bock habe mir viel zu lauten, schlechten Gesang von irgendwelchen Besoffskis anzuhören, wird der Pub an Karaokeabenden absolut gemieden. Das PubQuiz ist auch einfach viel zu schwer, gehe da immer mit einem gebrochenen Ego raus und fühle mich einfach unintelligent.

Sehr cooler und uriger Pub mit einem speziellen Ambiente. Dazu Guinness vom Faß und große Auswahl an Burger. Zuvorkommender Service. Leider etwas kalt und zügig im Innenbereich. Die Burger sind zwar ganz okay, aber auch schon weitaus Bessere gegessen...

Sehr schöner Pub im Herzen der Innenstadt, leider schwankt die Qualität der Getränke enorm - mal perfekter Geschmack, mal das Spülwasser nicht vernünftig abgespült was etwas eklig ist. Service manchmal ausbaufähig, die Höflichkeit ist sehr vulnerabel insbesondere wenn der Laden voller wird.

Die Pommes waren leider (nahezu) kalt. Der Burger war okay. Vom Belag hätte ich mir bei dem Preis mehr erwartet. Der Burger war tatsächlich nur "relativ flach" belegt. Die Wartezeiten, bis die Bedienung an den Tisch kam, waren gerade noch okay. Obwohl nur mittelmäßig Betrieb war, musste man hin und wieder schon etwas länger warten. Gerade bei der Bezahlung finde ich es ärgerlich, wenn man 15-20 Minuten warten muss, bis jemand zum kassieren kommt. Positiv hervorgeheben muss ich das Ambiente und die Livemusik an diesem Abend.
