Wir haben zweimal auf der Reise zur Ostsee und zurück in Göttingen Zwischenstopp gemacht. Waren zum Kaffeetrinken und Abendessen Gäste im Kaffee del Sol. Ein ganz tolles Lokal, super nette Bedienung und Klasse Essen. Also perfekt 👍👍👍. Junge Leute im Service aber sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Hätten wir Alten nicht so erwartet. Trotz sehr vielen Gästen ging alles angenehm gelassen und zügig voran. Da können sich viele Lokale ein Beispiel daran nehmen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen sehr gerne Mal wieder vorbei. Am Sonntag vormittag zum Brunch auf der Terrasse mit Freunden gewesen, war mal wieder schön dort. Essen und die Aktionen fand ich sehr einladend, auch das Lounge-Flair! Hatte reserviert, alles top! Neue Gerichte auch top, Auswahl wie immer sehr groß. Immer wieder schön, wenn man sonntags mal so gar keine Motivation hat...Mir gefällt es nach wie vor, in Göttingen am Besten, Sauberkeit und Service immer top!

Personal sehr freundlich Reichlich Platz und Auswahl Essen für alle was da und schmeckt auch gut. Einziges Manko , das Eis und die Schlagsahne schmecken billig und wässrig , obwohl 1 Kugel Eis 2,20€ kosten

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und auf der Suche nach einem guten Frühstück. Die Karte hatte uns sehr angesprochen und wir waren auch um 11:20 Uhr da, sodass wir uns erhofften dort noch ein leckeres Frühstück zu bekommen. Leider wurden wir nicht bedient, so ging ich um 11:28 Uhr rein, um zu fragen, ob ich denn noch Früstück bestellen kann. Der Kellner guckte auf seine Uhr und meinte: “Nein leider nicht mehr.” Ich hatte gefragt, wie viel Uhr es denn sei. Er meinte 11:30 genau. Also gingen wir wieder. Ich hätte wenigstens erwartet, dass man in der Küche nachfragt, ob sie schon alles umgebaut haben, oder ob es noch gehen würde.

Sehr gutes Essen zu guten Preisen und ein erstklassiger Service auch wenn man nicht reserviert hat!

Wir waren heute im Café del Sol um einen Geburtstag zu feiern. Der Kellner lief immer wieder weg, sagte er könnte erst in ein paar Minuten die Bestellungen aufnehmen, nahm aber die Bestellungen anderer Tische auf und verteilte weiterhin munter Getränke. Immer wieder wollte er bei der Bestellung von unserem Tisch weg, sodass 3 Leute fast nicht bestellen konnten. Als das Essen kam waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der gemischte Salat für fast 10€ bestand nur aus Salat und lediglich einer einzigen Tomate. Karotte fehlte komplett. Vorher wurde gesagt es gäbe keinen Caeser Salad weil kein Salat vorhanden sei. Im gemischten Salat wurde dann aber genau dieser verarbeitet. Auch alle anderen Salate waren von der Preis- Leistung jenseits von Gut und Böse. Der Kellner war generell nicht sehr professionell. Nachdem wir für das wirklich nicht gute Essen fast 300€ zahlen sollten und kein Trinkgeld aufgrund der Umstände gaben, schaute dieser direkt auf den Bon und lief dann zu seinen Kollegen um sich über das fehlende Trinkgeld zu beschweren. Woraufhin diese alle nicht sehr unauffällig aus ihrer Gruppe zu uns herüber starrten. Insgesamt nicht zu empfehlen. Nicht klimatisiert und viel zu heiß. Wäre es keine Feier gewesen, hätte ich das Essen zurückgehen lassen und wäre woanders hingegangen.

Da gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Sehr gutes essen und der Service Top. Wir kommen wieder.

Essen o.k. Preise nicht angemessen, sehr lange Wartezeit obwohl das Lokal nur zu max. 50% belegt war. Sauberkeit der Sanitären Anlagen Verbesserungswürdig.

Wir haben die spontane Auszeit, lecker Essen und Zeit mit der Familie sehr genossen. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Essen würde frisch serviert. Kommen gerne wieder!

Einer der schlechtesten Cappuccinos, die ich seit langem getrunken habe. Wenigstens war windig im Becher… Herrentoilette hat dem Geruchscharakter eine Bahnhofstoilette

Wir haben Cafe Del Sol für uns neu wiederentdeckt, da wir hier vor allem auch mit unseren Kindern sehr gut essen gehen können. Alle finden was, es schmeckt lecker und der Service stimmt. Das Personal ist immer nett und freundlich, nur vereinzelt merkt man ihnen den Stress an. Der Außenbereicht könnte etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit ausstrahlen. Deshalb je einen Stern abzug, aber Alles in Allem ein Besuch wert und das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss passt!

Hallo das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend und der Service bzw. das Ambiente sehr sehr schön.

Wir haben uns gestern zu dritt spontan entschieden im Café del Sol zu frühstücken. Sicherheitshalber haben wir über die Website reserviert, konnten uns aber einen Platz draußen wie auch drinnen aussuchen. Bestellt haben wir das Brunchbuffet. Es gab eine tolle Auswahl an Brötchen, Aufstriche, Marmeladen, Salaten und vieles mehr. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Sehr schönes Restaurant - ideal an der A7 gelegen, für eine Pause auf der Reise - perfekt. Super freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen. Wir hatten den Acocado-Salat - ganz hervorragend, dazu noch eine Pinsa mit Burrata und die Pasta mit Burrata - alles ganz große Klasse. Gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Ecke sind.

Essen ist lecker. Allerdings ist es mittlerweile wirklich laut. Personal echt nett, dauert aber etwas.

Auf unserer Reise Richtung Süden machten wir im Café del Sol in Göttingen Mittagspause und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Unsere Bedienung war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Da wir mit unserem Hund unterwegs waren, brachten uns die Angestellten freundlicherweise Wasser, ohne dass wir darum bitten mussten – das wussten wir sehr zu schätzen. Die Karte bot eine gute Auswahl an alkoholfreien Cocktails, was eine angenehme Überraschung war und für jeden Geschmack etwas bot. Das Essen war gut und sättigend. Die Hähnchen-Caesar-Pina war etwas weich und hätte etwas länger gebacken sein können, und der griechische Salat war eher ein gemischter Salat mit Feta als ein traditioneller griechischer Salat. Trotzdem haben wir das Essen genossen und waren zufrieden.

Wow, das ist ein perfektes Rezept, nur leider wurden wir unhöflich behandelt.

Tief in Grone hat sich dieses Restaurant etwas versteckt gehalten, doch auf Empfehlung sind wir doch einmal hier gewesen und können es nun nur selbst weiterempfehlen! Die Inneneinrichtung ist sehr schön, die Karte bietet die gewohnten Gerichte an und alles war äußerst lecker!

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe an einem Montag dort. Das erste, was der Kellner gesagt hat, war nicht ,,guten Tag" sondern ,,Pinsa ist alle, wir haben keine Chicken Pattys und andere Sachen waren auch nicht mehr vorhanden. Leider sehr schade, vorallem weil es am Anfang der Woche war. Dies war sehr ärgerlich und hat die Stimmung schon in den Keller gebracht. Wir mussten teilweise 20 min auf unsere Getränke warten, obwohl nicht viel los war und der Pink Aperol war ein stinknormaler Aperol. Das bestellte Essen wiederrum war gut. Zum Ende hin kam die Bedienung und meinte nur, heute sei Ihm alles ,, Egal" Fazit: wenn ihr die Aktionen (Momentan Pinsa) mitnehmen möchtet, ruft vorher an und fragt, was noch alles da ist. Desweiteren sollte das Cafe del sol seine Mitarbeiter besser Schulen und den höflichen Umgang mit Gästen lehren. Wir werden das Cafe del Sol erst einmal nicht wieder besuchen.

War ein sehr schön gelungener Abend, essen super lecker ....

Wir haben hier spontan auf unserer Durchreise Abend gegessen. Pinsa Burata und Pasta Burata absolut zu empfehlen. Auch was sonst so rausgetragen wurde sah sehr gut aus. Die Mitarbeiter hätten sogar mehr als 5 Sterne verdient. Der Service war schnell, aufmerksam und extrem freundlich!

Für uns bereits ein Ritual, einmal im Jahr in Göttingen zu frühstücken. Toller Service, gute Auswahl und das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt.

Ich war gestern mit einer Freundin im Café del Sol in Göttingen. Wir hatten uns das Hausbrot mit der sambalhollondaise geteilt und danach hatte sie das Schnitzel und ich die Pasta burrata mit Hähnchen. Zuerst kam die Vorspeise (obwohl vorher abgesprochen) direkt mit dem Hauptgang. Das Essen sah gut aus und hat auch ganz gut geschmeckt jedoch auf dem Weg nach Hause haben wir beide so dolle Krämpfe bekommen.. Magen und Darmkrämpfe. Wir haben uns beide mehrfach übergeben und hatten danach noch so dolle Darmkrämpfe + Durchfall. Ich habe heute Morgen auch noch dolle Probleme. Keine Ahnung was da drin war, aber so eine Reaktion hatten wir noch nie nach einem Restaurant mit ähnlichen Speisen. Vielen Dank für die schmerzhaften Stunden 👍

Leckeres Essen, nur bisschen laut

Nettes Lokal, wir waren Mittagessen, der Burger und die Pinsa waren lecker, der hausgemachte Eistee ist absolut köstlich, es gibt für viele Gerichte vegane Alternativen. Der Service war sehr nett und sehr aufmerksam/flott. Preise auch okay. Liegt direkt an der Autobahn, ist also auch für Reisende praktisch gelegen.

Nett und gut zu Speisen. Bedienung ist etwas langsam. Sonst alles in Ordnung.

Es hat relativ lange gedauert,bis das Frühstück endlich kam,dann kam nur 1 statt bestellter 2 . Aber die Bedienung hat es mit Charme gehandelt....Zu wenig Brot/Brötchen für die Menge an Belag

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 5 Personen um 18:30 Uhr reserviert und Vorspeisen sowie Hauptgerichte bestellt. Leider begann der Abend schon chaotisch: Von drei Vorspeisen kamen zunächst nur zwei – die aus ein paar Nacho-Resten bestanden. Auf Nachfrage, wo die andere Vorspeise bleibt, hieß es plötzlich, diese würde zusammen mit dem Hauptgericht serviert werden. Kurz darauf wurde die Bestellung vom Service erneut aufgenommen. Nach insgesamt fast zwei Stunden kam dann endlich die fehlende Vorspeise – mit dem Hinweis, das restliche Essen würde in „8 Minuten“ folgen. Ein Mitarbeiter aus dem Service entschuldigte sich freundlich und erklärte, dass viel los sei und Personalmangel herrsche. Dafür haben wir grundsätzlich vollstes Verständnis. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten kam schließlich das Essen – allerdings fehlte erneut ein Gericht. Zudem waren Schnitzel, Burger, Pasta und Pinsa leider kalt. Danach kam niemand mehr an unseren Tisch. Man hatte eher das Gefühl, dass sich niemand mehr traute nachzufragen, weil bereits klar war, dass der Ablauf komplett schiefgelaufen war. Zwischendurch entschuldigte sich die Schichtleitung und bot uns als Entschädigung kostenlose Getränke oder Nachtisch an. Nachtisch wollten wir nicht. Uns wurde außerdem erklärt, dass wegen einem Auftritt von Crystal in der Stadt deutlich mehr Gäste da waren als üblich. Auch dafür haben wir Verständnis – Gastro ist ein harter Job und Personalmangel kann passieren. Aber genau deshalb wäre eine ehrliche und freundliche Kommunikation wichtig gewesen. Ein einfacher Hinweis wie „Es dauert heute leider länger“ hätte bei uns sofort für Verständnis gesorgt. Was uns allerdings wirklich negativ aufgefallen ist: Alle Tische, die nach uns kamen, bekamen ihr Essen deutlich vor uns. Als Erklärung hieß es, andere Gäste hätten „nicht so aufwendige Gerichte“ bestellt. Ich habe selbst in der Gastronomie gearbeitet und dort galt immer die goldene Regel: Tisch für Tisch abarbeiten. Die Getränke wurden uns am Ende zwar erstattet, allerdings wurde eines vergessen. Kann passieren. Doch auf freundliche Nachfrage reagierte ein Kellner plötzlich sehr unfreundlich und meinte, nur die Cocktails seien gratis gewesen – obwohl das zuvor anders kommuniziert wurde. Wir sollten das mit der Schichtleitung klären. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir ausdrücklich das Personal am Tresen sowie einen sehr netten Kellner, der am Ende versucht hat zu vermitteln. Die Schichtleitung wirkte dagegen sichtlich genervt, „flüchtete“ zunächst aus der Situation und kam später nur kurz zurück, legte das Geld wortlos auf den Tresen und ging wieder. Wir waren schon öfter im Cafe del Sol und haben dort bisher eigentlich gute Erfahrungen gemacht – umso enttäuschender war dieser Abend. Fehler können passieren, gerade wenn viel los ist. Aber hingehalten zu werden, keine ehrliche Kommunikation zu bekommen und am Ende kaltes Essen serviert zu bekommen, hinterlässt leider einen sehr schlechten Eindruck. Wir sind geduldige und umgängliche Menschen. Uns geht es nicht darum, jemanden „fertigzumachen“. Wir wünschen uns einfach einen offenen und respektvollen Umgang mit Gästen – gerade dann, wenn mal etwas schiefläuft.

January 10, 2026, 8:30 PM My girlfriend and I spontaneously decided to go out for dinner, as she had recommended Café del Sol. We went into the café in good spirits and asked if they had a table for two. The small, dark-haired woman said she'd check if there was a free seat. Instead, she went to the counter to bring an order to our table. A minute or two later, (presumably the owner) came around the corner with a sheet of paper, no greeting or anything, just a quick note saying we were looking for a table. He led us to a table for two where we were then allowed to sit down. We weren't asked about drinks until 10 minutes later, and we weren't exactly quick about it. We both ordered the "Schnitzel del Sol" with two extra servings of mayo and ketchup, as well as one serving of sour cream and one serving of truffle mayo. The meal took an hour... for two schnitzels and fries... We asked a short time later where our extra sauces were. The already rather rude reply from the supposed manager was, "Do you still want them, or do you just not want them on the bill?" On principle, we still wanted them. We both finished our "1-hour schnitzel" in a very bad mood. I should also mention that our drinks sat empty for over 30 minutes without anyone asking about them, let alone walking past us. Now to the end of it all. We wanted to pay and were given the option to leave a tip, which was visible beforehand but wasn't an option for us. We clicked on "no tip," and the waiter's very annoyed reply was, "Thank you for that too," which is absolutely unacceptable. I didn't experience any of the recommended service or food at all. Once was enough; even my local kebab shop is nicer...

We had a fantastic breakfast! Top-notch!

It's outrageous to offer such an icy parking lot; they know it's snowing and aren't able to inform a company. Snow is one thing, but this is unacceptable.

We visited Cafe del Sol on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a birthday. We had reserved a table. We were warmly greeted at the entrance and immediately shown to our reserved table. The drinks and menus were already on the table, and we took a look. The friendly server arrived a few minutes later and took our order. The drinks were served immediately. The delicious and flavorful food was also served promptly. I especially liked that you can customize your burgers with your own toppings. Despite the large size of the room, the noise level was very pleasant, and it was easy to have a conversation. The seating was also very comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

It's a good place to sit for business in the mornings, as it's quiet. In the evenings, the noise level increases.

We came for breakfast. It was very tasty, the service was good, and the staff were friendly! However, we both wanted a breakfast without sausage and similar items, which proved rather difficult. Outside of the buffet, unfortunately, you could only order a breakfast with sausage, without being offered any alternatives. I think the café should reconsider this. For example, instead of salami and meat salad, they could offer an extra slice of cheese and salmon.

We had breakfast there on New Year's Eve morning. At €14.90, it was cheaper than at the hotel. Drinks weren't included, but the breakfast was very plentiful! You should book online as it gets very busy. In the summer, there are good outdoor seating options. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive.

Basic fast food. The chicken and fries were clearly deep-fried convenience products, as was the lasagna. Despite this, there was a long wait for the food to arrive. And this was outside of normal lunchtime hours.

I was there this evening with my dog. Unfortunately, only a high table was available at first, so I was allowed to sit there. After a short while, I was asked if I would prefer to sit at a lower table with my dog. I was very grateful for that. Great and friendly staff. Delicious food. Dogs are very welcome.

The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. My only criticism is that I ordered the baked mini potatoes and there was hardly any arugula on them. Otherwise, everything was great.

We were passing through and wanted to order something to take away for the rest of our journey. Unfortunately, we didn't get what we ordered, but it was still tasty, even though the portion was very small (we ordered the largest pizza they had so we could share it, and received a pinsa for €17). Our plan was to change our daughter's diaper and clothes. The changing table was in the disabled toilet. It smelled awful and was filthy. The changing mat was dirty, hard, and unpadded. It was unbearable in that room, so I changed and dressed my daughter standing up in the women's toilet. We usually really enjoy the food at Café del Sol, but we wouldn't come back here.

We were a group of eight for our Christmas party. We were seated right by the entrance next to the reception, which didn't exactly enhance the atmosphere. The food arrived very quickly, and the first round of drinks was also served promptly. The food was adequate, as expected from a restaurant, but typical of franchises, like everywhere else. Nothing special, but acceptable for the price. Further orders took a very, very long time. Sometimes drinks were forgotten but still charged, and other times we waited ages before being asked if we wanted anything else. We certainly would have ordered several more rounds. To top it all off, when it came time to pay, they rudely didn't give us any change and simply assumed the remaining amount was meant as a tip. Seriously?! At a Christmas party, you first need a proper bill, and then you can tip. To assume that's the case is absolutely unacceptable and an outrage. Very disappointed with the waiter.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, sometimes too loud, good parking, friendly service

We stopped here for a break on our way home. It was a Sunday around 3 pm, and it wasn't very busy, so we got a table right away. The service was quick, and the food arrived very promptly after we ordered. We opted for a burger with a side salad and pasta Napoli with extra chicken breast. The pasta was a bit overcooked and quite soft, but it tasted good. The burger was delicious. Unfortunately, the bun was cold, and the side salad (which cost extra) was tiny, but all in all, we were satisfied. We'll definitely come back for a stop on our trip, as the price-performance ratio was quite good.

So, objectively speaking, the ambiance was very nice, just as expected. The service was friendly, though occasionally a bit slow considering the number of guests. The food was once again absolutely fantastic. Of course, this assessment of the service is just a snapshot in time and therefore probably not entirely accurate. The day's business and the previous occupancy level naturally play a significant role, which of course remains hidden from view. All in all, it was a very pleasant visit!

I'm usually a Café de Sol fan, but this kind of behavior is really starting to make me sick. I can't complain about the food, but the service is absolutely terrible. They're incredibly friendly and nice at first, but as soon as it's time to pay and you don't leave a tip, you don't even get a thank you, goodbye, or anything else. Shouldn't they be happy that customers come back often instead of acting like this when you don't leave a tip?! Unfortunately, you can't tip every time these days; everyone knows how expensive everything has become. This is truly awful. I'm seriously considering avoiding Café de Sol in the future.

🚨 Rating: 0/5 – Terrible experience, racist and disrespectful service! We went to this café to celebrate my friend's birthday, and our experience was the worst imaginable. There were four of us, yet we received absolutely no respect or appreciation. The server was blatantly racist; her behavior was cold, harsh, and insulting. When we ordered non-alcoholic drinks, she mocked the price, stating clearly, "The price isn't going to change, don't even think about it." Later, when she brought the drinks, she slammed the glasses down on the table as if to humiliate us, without even saying "please." When we thanked her for the service, she completely ignored us, making us feel utterly unwelcome. The entire experience demonstrates that this café does not respect its customers, does not value their presence, and operates with clear discrimination. Frankly, anyone who values ​​respectful service and proper treatment should avoid this café. There are hundreds of places that offer far better hospitality and respect.

On December 3rd, 2025, I went to Café Del Sol in Göttingen with my friends to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I apologize in advance for the negative feedback. My friends and I were at Café del Sol two hours ago and wanted to order three Blueberry Piña Coladas, but they were non-alcoholic. The waitress, about 165 cm tall with black hair and pigtails, told us the price was the same whether it was alcoholic or not. She was really unfriendly and gave us terrible service. As a restaurant owner and waitress myself, I know how to treat guests if you want to satisfy them and win them over as regulars. But I can understand why she wouldn't have served us if the owner had been there. She just put our drinks on the table without even saying "please" or "enjoy your meal." I simply said "thank you," but unfortunately, she didn't respond. We just left our drinks full, paid, and walked away. The cashier, on the other hand, was very friendly. I told her everything. I hope things will improve in the future. But I'm definitely never going back there.

Since we were standing very close to the speakers, the music was very loud. Otherwise, however, it was a very pleasant evening. The service was excellent and everything was served in a reasonable amount of time.

While on a business trip, I stopped for breakfast next to a Supercharger. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, and the price/performance ratio is good!

Whenever we visit Göttingen, we stop by Café del Sol. It's a fantastic place for us country folk. The breakfast menu is fantastic. A bit pricey, though. We'd love to come back.

Always nice to eat there. Very tasty food, haven't had a single dish I didn't like! Unfortunately, the prices have increased, which is why my review doesn't get 5 stars. Otherwise, great!
