The hotel is very conveniently located to the city center, which can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. The train station can also be reached in 15 minutes on foot. The stay was very pleasant and relaxed. The reception was very friendly, the room was very well furnished and very clean. A few more sockets would be nice - but that's definitely only minimally annoying. The price-performance ratio is very good. Unfortunately, since I booked without breakfast, I can't rate it. But I generally think €15.00 is quite reasonable. The helpfulness at the end was outstanding: I had forgotten something in the room and called the hotel later. I received immediate and extremely friendly help - and I am very grateful for that. I can definitely recommend the hotel and will book it again at any time

All in all perfect for a stay in Chemnitz! Central location, great view, rooms decently pretty, clean and in order. Food (evening buffet 1A, great, varied and high-quality breakfast menu) and service all around very good, the panoramic restaurant on the 26th floor is also nice! 🤩👍

The hotel used to be better when it was a Dorint, especially the breakfast. We were there over New Year's Eve and it was very crowded. When checking out, for example, we had to wait 30 minutes for the elevator. Because all the elevators that arrived at that time were full. The rooms themselves were clean but were next to the elevator ➡️🤮.

I was forced to live in this hotel for a long time. The location is convenient - in the center. There is no service in the rooms - cleaning is required 24 hours in advance, bed linen is not changed at all (I stay for more than 10 days), the staff is not particularly friendly, breakfast is monotonous and tasteless, the room is apparently located next to the sewer riser, the smell in the corridor is appropriate, thank God there is none in the room. I wouldn't stop again.

I stayed in this hotel for two days and spent these two days without internet. No one responded to inquiries and complaints about absences.

Yes, 35 after the fall of the Wall, it was not yet possible to give the guest a quiet night. We had to ventilate and then couldn't sleep because of the noise. Never again! There are actually other inexpensive hotels where I can have a quiet night and more comfortable rooms.

Rooms tidy, bathroom small but clean. Reception OK. Breakfast was well stocked. Unfortunately there is a plague of pigeons in the parking lot, the hotel will point this out, but we didn't think it would be that bad. I think the price of €15.00 per day is overpriced.

Unacceptable Experience - Worst Breakfast Ever I stay in hotels over 70% of the year, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Starting with the basics: no electric car charger and a shocking €15 charge for parking—clearly, sustainability is not a priority here. The room was clean but dated, with a narrow bathroom and an inconvenient bathtub instead of a proper shower. The “expected view” was ruined by a small, uninspiring window. Now, the breakfast. What a disaster. The space is overcrowded, poorly managed, and chaotic. The buffet was empty, sticky, and clearly neglected by the staff. When scrambled eggs finally arrived, they were burnt and inedible. It took 30 minutes just to get a coffee, and only after waiting in an endless line. The cold cuts were of the lowest quality imaginable. After 45 minutes, I requested jam to be refilled and was met with indifference. Eventually, it arrived—but with the same old sticky spoon from earlier. This was an absolute waste of time and money. For a “Congress Hotel,” I expected much better. I will not be staying here again.

Good location, good parking, nice, simple service, pleasant hotel guests, BUT, in front of the hotel there are now and then people who are drunk and very sociable. You are asked about cigarettes, reason and length of stay, and money, mostly by young men. Not too pleasant, I wouldn't advise a young woman who is alone to leave the hotel after dark. As a man you don't have any problems with these rags, but you don't have a good time either.

The rooms are rather spartan. There is a tub in the toilet for showering, which takes up a lot of space. Hardly anyone bathes in a hotel. The hotel bar is embarrassing. No cocktails are offered, not even the standard ones. Beer and wine and a few spirits. We were very disappointed.

We booked the room through booking. com reserved. There was no indication of a non-renovated room. When we entered the room we were honestly shocked. The carpet was totally stained. The decor is depressing and that can't be compensated for by the small window in the room. No matter where we looked, it was just very dirty and the toilet smelled strongly of urine. We've been to a lot of hotels but that's not possible. Since we didn't want to stay, we immediately went back to reception and insisted on a cancellation. That wasn't a problem either. It seemed like they knew the problem. First the lady at the reception wanted to sell us an upgrade because we had booked an old, unrenovated room. But we didn't feel like it anymore. A tip to management unrenovated does not mean dirty. We then found another hotel room a few meters away and were very happy there. The price was the same only the hotel was better.

I'll say it straight away: the look from the 14th floor was great, the mattress was a disaster. The hotel was apparently well occupied - at least there was no free parking space in the hotel's own space - the room was correspondingly expensive. The location is really very central and there are plenty of parking garages nearby. Breakfast was very good and the shower was warm :-)

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The price for accommodation and parking had to be paid upon arrival. We had paid for a parking space for our car. On the last day we couldn't find a parking space in front of the hotel, it was completely overcrowded. When asked, the woman at reception said she would give us our parking fee back and we should park in the parking garage. Room cleaning only takes place if the guest expressly requests it. Statement from a hotel employee "It's because of the environment".

Not the best experience. I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a business trip. The hotel is well located and the breakfast is fine. However, the Wi-Fi is a disaster, as several guests with similar problems told me. Unfortunately, it was not possible to work. I also needed an iron for my shirts. However, this was only available for a deposit of 20€, which could only be paid in cash without any receipt. Very dubious. Both of these things are actually very inappropriate if you present yourself as a congress hotel for business trips and conferences. The worst thing, however, was that the wind in the corridor whistled so loudly at night that it was difficult to sleep. I am attaching a video to give you a feel for the volume.

We were on the 21st floor, the room was warm, there was no air conditioning. We opened the window so there was a lot of noise at night. We were in town for work. The upholstery is dirty and stained, it needs to be cleaned.

We booked the hotel at short notice because we spontaneously needed somewhere to stay for the night. Everything worked great and the staff was friendly. However, when we got into the rooms, we were very disappointed. It was a very, very old-fashioned room, without air conditioning, kettle, minibar or anything else. No problem for the one night we stayed. However, the room we had could not be seen in a single picture online anywhere. Only photos of the most beautiful rooms were posted online. Which is exactly what we expected. Very disappointing.

Rooms were okay, the view was also nice but the windows were much too small. The service was top. I had forgotten my charging cable and it was handed over and sent to me.

The hotel is located right in the center, from here you can easily reach the city on foot. We booked a room on the upper floor. This was renovated and was therefore okay. I like the hotel very much because I had the pleasure of spending two nights here on the 14th floor, where the panorama of the city is really beautiful, but the view from the 26th floor, where there is a restaurant, is even better. Overall, I am very satisfied, but the only minor drawback is the lack of air conditioning. in the rooms, at least it wasn't in the ones where I spent the night, I don't know what it's like in the others, because when it's 30° outside, it's really very warm in the rooms and you would like to rest in a bit of cooler air when the temperatures are as high as today. The rest I think is that it is okay

First the good It was clean, the ladies at the reception and the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly, and the breakfast itself was great! The location right in the center. BUT It was always very warm in the rooms. You could open the window, but despite being on the 17th floor you could hear everything downstairs and this weekend there was always a stage with sometimes questionable music until 11 p.m. We didn't even see a maid for 3 nights! The hotel has a really nice bar, but not geared towards guests. On the first evening we got a beer, the next day it opened at 5 p.m. but there was no waiter and a day later it didn't open at all despite EM. When you asked on the first evening, you couldn't find a remote control. All in all, medium!

The rooms are worn out. Carpet in the room was very stained and dirty, the headboard of the bed was greasy and the mattresses were very soft. On Sundays there was no possibility to buy water or anything similar in the area. There was nothing in the hotel either. When we asked again, we were offered a bottle of water for €5.50. The parking space costs €15 and cannot be reserved. Booking a hotel via online booking portals is worth it. The hotel did not offer cheaper rooms when asked by telephone. The center is easy to reach on foot.

The rooms are clean, but a bit old. The bed is very hard.The breakfast and service are above average. The location is GREAT and so is the view. The internet is a bit slow.

0 tolerance for rebooking issues. The room and especially the garbage cans in it were not cleaned for 3 days, which was very unpleasant with food that was in the garbage. Next time I visit a business I will definitely choose an alternative.

Absolutely fine for an overnight stay at this price. My room was renovated and clean, but the hotel does not offer any extras. Contrary to what is stated on the booking platform, fitness and sauna are not available. Not suitable for business trips if you rely on working WiFi. There is a nice view.

The breakfast on the 28th floor was brilliant and delicious. I was only 1 night. There was no socket near the bed. A little old but ok. What was absolutely negative was the surroundings around the entrance area. It hasn't been cleaned here for a long time. Autumn leaves were scattered everywhere.

We stayed in the hotel with a group of almost 100 people. The service debacle started when we checked in. The hotel charged ten euros additional costs if you wanted to move into the room before 3 p.m. This was independent of whether the room was already finished or not yet finished. The rooms were very small. The wet area in particular was kept very small. The windows in the rooms are not particularly large but give a nice view over the city. Breakfast was a buffet and offered a good selection. Our group could hardly keep up with the service in the bar area. In addition, the prices at the bar were unreasonably high. Parking in the parking lot in front of the hotel is significantly more expensive at €15 per day than in other parking options in the immediate vicinity. All in all, I can say that over the three days that we were guests at the hotel, we cannot recommend this house.

The hotel has advantages and disadvantages! The location in the middle of the city is great! I had a room with an overhead view that was great too! Unfortunately, the parking lot in front of the hotel was overcrowded, so I had to move to another parking garage. The new operator has apparently changed the rules and you can only check in from 3:00 p.m.! If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay extra per person. Now for the Hut Festival there were more than 100 people waiting to check in at 3pm and there was a long queue to the exit and there was a long wait! The mood of the guests was tense. Nevertheless, the staff at the counter remained very friendly and helpful! My room was old and worn. The hotel's WiFi didn't work on my iPhone and the phone couldn't connect to the network. A socket by the bed was broken and I couldn't charge my phone there. The other sockets worked. The rooms were very clean and there were enough fresh towels! The staff at the reception and also the cleaning staff were very friendly and tried everything to make the stay as nice as possible!

The hotel is centrally located in the middle of the city center. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel is very well equipped, chic and clean. Tip: When booking, ask for a room on a higher floor. We were on the 22nd floor and had a fantastic view of the entire city. The breakfast room is located at the top of the 26th floor and offers a view in all directions. The breakfast is delicious and extensive. We really enjoyed our stay and can fully recommend this hotel. We will come here again on our next visit to Chemnitz. Thank you for the lovely days!

No sockets to plug your phone in. Only by the door and the tv, so you can’t charge your phone in bed. Wifi is the worst i’ve ever seen. Goes of and on and when it works it’s terrible

If you love the charm of the 1990s, this is the place for you. Room is in great need of renovation. Everything is pretty shabby and it's very noisy. However, the breakfast was very commendable, from the 29th floor, where the breakfast room is, you have a beautiful view over Chemnitz.

I had a solo stay there. The price for the room is quite reasonable. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no stable internet connection to make a whatsapp call. Everything else was to my liking.

I was booked as a pianist, so I have a B2B background for my overnight stay. In my opinion the best address in Chemnitz! The rooms are extremely clean, the staff is very friendly, a great view and the breakfast is first class! You shouldn't be confused by the 3 stars. In my opinion it deserves more! Location is great, in the middle of the city. Unfortunately, the rooms are very narrow and outdated; they should be modernized. Breakfast in the Panorama Restaurant, on the other hand, is great, tasty, lots of choice, everything is fresh and is constantly replenished. Restaurant employees were all super friendly, in contrast to the reception, when checking in you had the feeling that you were disturbing the gentleman with something. Listless, unmotivated service according to the rules.

I stayed in a single room. The room has even a sofa. Nice view. Really great value of money spent per night (about 53€) However, it was too warm during that night and I needed to open the window a little. The noises from clubs and pubs around there then got inside the room. Bed was too soft.

The hotel has a great location. Right in the city center. Why parking is so expensive, I have no idea. But it's cheaper to go to the parking garage next to it. You have 30 minutes to load and unload your car with suitcases. But the breakfast on the 22nd floor is amazing. Nice staff and there's a little bit of everything there. It's constantly being replenished. Simply delicious. There is also a second coffee machine at peak times. The rooms are getting old. But okay. You can also make a few compromises for the location.

Ceremony in Chemnitz Looking for a good, central and cheap overnight stay, we chose the Congress Hotel Chemnitz. We were on the 11th floor with a good view. For the sake of "sustainability" you have to request room service. If you stay for 2 nights, it's no problem to forego the service. The location is right in the city and you can reach everything by public transport. The breakfast offered is rich and there is something for every taste. What we have to complain about are the extremely high parking fees. But that's not a problem, as there are cheap alternatives in the form of parking garages. Unload your suitcases in front of the hotel and park your vehicle in the nearby parking garage. (less than 10 minutes walk) All in all we have to say that this hotel is recommended. Reasons: - It couldn't be more central in the city - City Hall next door - Transport connections - public transportation - Plenty of restaurants in the area

When you check in you had to pay the entire amount and at the same time you were told that the cash register wasn't working and there was no invoice for the payment because there were problems with the tax office. In the room, the headboard falls apart on its own, so lots of crumbs accumulate in the bed. Beds extremely narrow, below standard. In general it borders on unreasonable.

The hotel has a great location. The price including breakfast was okay. But the room was already getting old. And only passive ventilation in the bathroom and no air conditioning in the room.

Very nice and friendly staff, breakfast room with a great selection and a great view. It's a shame that after events you have to stand in front of a closed bar and only have a small selection of drinks available for purchase. Unfriendly staff at the reception (especially on the phone) you get an invoice emailed as a copy and not an original invoice. And is then treated unkindly and simply hung up on you. I will never stay there again!!!

Centrally located. Good location and great view over the city. The breakfast, on the 26th floor with a great view, is rich and the staff are very attentive and friendly! Here you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. Some rooms are/are already being modernized. Some still need this. My bed was a bit very soft or sagging, at least there were two pillows. The standard room is not too big, but it's fine for 1-2 days. Unfortunately there was no socket near the bed! The location is optimal. Right in the city center and right next to the town hall. Unfortunately 1 point deducted for the completely exorbitant parking costs!!!
