One star is still too many!!! The three of us (pensioners) were there for lunch on November 6th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. The boss was annoying with his constant comments about "wisky with...." We were given a black menu, almost all dishes from €19.90. The neighboring table received a DIN A4 page in white. It was only by chance that the server also offered us schnitzel. We asked why it wasn't on the menu. Answer: You can ask. Great!!! So we ordered 2 Hamburger Schnitzels with fried potatoes and a Hamburger Schnitzel with croquettes. If you ask if there is a vegetable side dish >>> NO, you have to order it and pay extra. The schnitzel with fried egg, 2 thin slices of lemon and a long line of ketchup cost €19.90 each. The fried potatoes were lukewarm and one schnitzel was not cooked through. We belched on the schnitzels all afternoon. (old oil/fat) The waitress asked several times if everything was OK, to which we replied in the affirmative, as it would have been embarrassing to criticize the chef's other PRIVATE guests. We were there 3 years ago and there were no problems and the price-performance ratio was right. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN. We then looked at other places on the coast including the menu and also ordered ice cream sundaes in a restaurant. Everything was right there.

As always when we are on Usedom, a visit to the German House is recommended. Even with the young team and a few changes, a recommendation.

So I really have to say that the evening with you was really great. Very, very tasty food, super attentive and polite staff and an atmosphere that makes you feel good.

The restaurant is awesome! Well attended every day. It is advisable to reserve in advance. However, you only need to wait about 15-25 minutes before there are free places. The service is very fast, friendly and attentive. And the dishes are a “poem”!!! I can say that with 100% certainty because we were there at least 10 times over a period of three years.

This was our third time here and unfortunately the service was very poor. Special requests regarding the supplements were not taken into account. We wanted a dessert as a surprise for the birthday child and assumed a small decoration with candles or something similar. The dessert was brought to the table with the annoyed question “How am I supposed to make that a surprise” and was added to the bill. It's a shame that spontaneity wasn't possible 🤷🏽‍♀️ the food was still very tasty :)

Rustic atmosphere, friendly service, tasty and plentiful food.

One of the best restaurants I know on the island. Local dishes are on the menu. The food is excellent and the prices are moderate in comparison. It is recommended to book a table in advance as there are often large crowds.

My wife and I have been here for dinner for 3 days now, we each had 3 different meals, everything was great, the service was absolutely great and the atmosphere was very nice (quaint) unfortunately we are only holiday guests otherwise we would be here more often but we will definitely come again. Oh and the landlord was always very, very friendly. If he was a bit abrupt, maybe you guys didn't notice, but the restaurant was damn full and he was busy.

We spontaneously went to the Deutsches Haus for the first time to enjoy dinner. We all ordered different menus, including special requests for side dishes. Everything was very tasty and the portions were very good and the prices were reasonable. The service was very nice, competent and quick. The atmosphere is very nice, everything from earlier times has been brought together, hung or set up. Toilets are very clean. We'll definitely be back!

Hello everyone, I had dinner at the Deutsches Haus with my husband and friends... and if I'm in the area again I would eat there again because it tasted really good. Even the ambience outside and inside was great. The staff was also very friendly and quick.

We were there for dinner. It was pretty full, we didn't have a reservation. Everything went quickly, the staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is plentiful and tastes excellent! The prices are OK and no different than anywhere else.

Good restaurant with a nice selection of dishes. Good service with reasonable prices and very tasty food. Unfortunately the soft drinks are not that good. Parking is also difficult. Due to the larger room, it can be very loud, especially when small children and dogs are nearby. It would also be better for the dogs to stay outside due to the noise and cramped conditions. Always worth a visit.

I'm referring exclusively to the restaurant here, we didn't use the hotel. There were four of us here (3 adults and one child). Due to our late call, we only had places available at 7:15 p.m. with the request not to come earlier. To put it bluntly, it was definitely worth it. It was packed and we sat inside. The selection of food was great, if you can't find anything here... Prices are absolutely justified, the portions are large. I can absolutely recommend it!

Great nostalgic atmosphere with lots of beautiful details. No card payment, but it's difficult on the whole island, you can't criticize that. Get a table at short notice. The food and service were great. There was even a small play area for the children.

The inn has very tasty food. There is definitely more choice for fish lovers. 5 different beers on tap. The ambience takes a bit of getting used to but is kind of cute. The service was quick and attentive, the food was on the table after about 20 minutes. All in all, we were satisfied and would happily recommend the restaurant.

If you want local Pomeranian cuisine, the Deutsches Haus is the right place for you. The home cooking was so good and the ambience 👍🏻, whether in the beer garden or in the restaurant, as if time had stood still in the imperial era 😍. The food was great, the service too...but beware, you want to pay by card...then you have to "traipse" to the nearest savings bank. We're talking about the high season, absolute disgrace.

We wanted to reserve a table today and were told I don't have time, come back tomorrow. And that too from the boss. An absolute disgrace. I also noticed that you can no longer get a receipt there, which indicates tax fraud.

We came to the German House on a recommendation. We received a very friendly welcome. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. And the food was a dream. The boss is awesome, the service is absolutely not better, every innkeeper would be happy to have such staff, super fast, anxious for the guest!!!! The cuisine is absolutely delicious, to the point!!! I haven't had my appetizing, super and very rich meal so quickly in any five star restaurant!! If you want to go on a culinary trip to the coast, come to the “Deutsches Haus” in Ückeritz!!!

On the recommendation of the landlord of our holiday apartment, we stayed at the Deutsches Haus on two evenings and were afterwards very grateful for this tip. We made reservations and everything went wonderfully. Service was great! Everyone was super friendly and quick. Garlic soup: I can recommend it to everyone. Schnitzel with fried potatoes: Schnitzel smaller than all the other restaurants around here. Unfortunately, the taste is 0815. Next time I'll order something different :) Fried potatoes were limp, maybe I was just unlucky because everything was great with my wife. We will be happy to come back on our next visit. By the way, the ambience is great!

Very unfriendly reception from the innkeeper - when we asked for a table we were told "no, not today!!" left standing 🤨 We were cheekily wished a happy new year and a healthy new year? And this is still normal on July 4th, 2024!

We happened to be in this restaurant late in the afternoon with 3 adults and a dog. The facility is very interesting. The waitress was extremely friendly. The food was super good! Unfortunately it was the last day of vacation for us, otherwise we would have eaten here more often! Everything was super good! There was a parking space in front of the house.

Very good regional cuisine at fair prices

Had dinner there this evening. The fish soup as a starter was very tasty, as was the fish brawn with fried potatoes and tartar sauce. As a drink we had sea buckthorn juice, a treat that you can't get in our restaurants. The staff, especially the boss, was also super friendly and fulfilled our special requests and gave us tips on what we could see or experience here Thank you. We came spontaneously without a reservation and although it was very well looked for, we still got a nice table. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and we felt very comfortable. The food was very good and the service was friendly and attentive. Everything was really perfect and we had a lovely evening with great food. We were thrilled and will definitely come back.

Have come to the restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The dishes have changed slightly over the years, but still tasted very good. Nice service staff, an appealing menu and a cozy atmosphere, you feel really comfortable there. Thanks for that!

We had expected more from Google's 4.6 rating. Well, we're full, but we wouldn't go there again.

The food and service are absolutely top. The prices are completely reasonable and the wine was very good. The restaurant is more reminiscent of a flea market barn. If you like GDR nostalgia, this is the place for you. We didn't really like the atmosphere, but we'll definitely be back because the food was great and the service was great.

Ambiance and service is great. But I doubt whether the chef has ever tasted his fried potatoes or his spiced meat. It's not pot and pan, it's a bag and a can, comrades. The side dishes are sparsely draped, except on the children's plates! Given the prices and the oft-quoted "tradition since Domini" I would have expected more.

We have been to the German House several times. Always an experience. The last time we had the Pomeranian menu. It was absolutely excellent. Very nice feudal and Service. We are really looking forward to the next visit.
