Very good food, plentiful, fresh fish and very friendly service

As an islander, I am of course a repeat offender :-) And I can say that the consistent quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff are a truly outstanding experience. I always enjoy going to this quaint restaurant with family or friends and feel welcome every time. Please keep it up.

We were there today (Friday) for suckling pig day. It was very, very tasty, different vegetable requests were fulfilled without any problems. Very large portion, therefore very good price-performance ratio, was even offered as a senior portion at the neighboring table. Very friendly staff. Clear recommendation

Very, very tasty cuisine, completely unexpected, great value for money. But you shouldn't be a wine drinker. Nice, rustic atmosphere, and as I said, really ambitious and great cuisine.

We were there on April 17th. here for lunch. We sat outside. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We were served promptly. My wife took the chimney steak and I had the pike perch. Both dishes were very good. The fried potatoes could have had a little less heat because they were very crispy. But it didn't bother me so much. The composition of the dishes impressed us as much as the taste. Everything was ok in terms of price too. Since we are often on the island and don't live too far away, we will stop here more often. For us personally, the Deutsches Haus in Ückeritz is one of the top three restaurants on the island.

You feel very well looked after here. The restaurant is beautiful and lovingly decorated. The many antique furnishings throughout the restaurant fit perfectly into the house; you can even include the “locations”. You can see the long family tradition here. The condition is very friendly and attentive. The food is of good quality and plentiful. And it tastes excellent. Price-performance ratio is perfect here.

Update, 2nd visit after half a year. Friday we have suckling pig, you can't just eat fish, so that's what we ordered and it tasted great, my wife also had the cod. Nothing wrong with the service either, so still a good address. We came here for dinner and were seated without ordering. Food was plentiful and very tasty, seems to be the top dog here.

Called there on a recommendation and stayed there for dinner after another restaurant closed its doors in front of us the day before. We received a very friendly welcome here and received our drinks and the food we ordered quickly, even though we arrived there shortly before closing time. We would like to thank you for your hospitality and the exceptionally fresh and delicious prepared food. Chimney steak, sailor schnitzel and garlic soup were a culinary delight. Good food, nice service, down-to-earth restaurant. I have a short stay in Usedom. Since it is low season, most restaurants on the island are closed. I walked 5km from my hotel to the village inn Deutsches Haus. It was very worth it for me. I ate dinner there twice within 3 days. Everything was so delicious. Suckling pig is the highlight. 🤩

At first glance everything is ok. However, at the door you are brought to the table by a woman who speaks poor German. Then a poorly spoken man comes and takes the order. The food is very clear, my wife orders a spiced meat that obviously comes from a can. Plus a slice of toasted old bread that smelled funny 🤢. I have a schnitzel with (cans of seasoned meat) that even our grandchildren can't get enough of with a few fries and a little tomato sauce, about a teaspoonful. And for a lot of money 🤑 To the restaurant. We have never (and we eat out a lot) seen such DIRTY WALLS!!!. Simply disgusting. Our recommendation. There are other great restaurants on the island of Usedom

The “Deutsches Haus” inn has been one of the highlights of our Baltic Sea stays for several years. The menu features regional products, the implementation of which is a real delight for the palate. The staff is friendly, the service is uncomplicated and quick, so you forget about time with good food and nice conversations at the table. Many thanks to the team for keeping this place at this high level for what feels like forever.

If a restaurant has a rating of 4.6 stars out of almost 1,500 reviews, that says a lot. If you are in a somewhat smaller village where there are only a few restaurants, this is even more of a stroke of luck. So we reserved a table and enjoyed the evening. The food was a 10/10, without exaggeration. I wasn't missing anything! Large portions, absolutely reasonable price and the taste experience cannot be put into words. If there were a ranking on Google of all the reviews that have been given, the Deutsches Haus would be at number 1! Really highly recommended. The icing on the cake: a restaurant with history and charm, as well as very courteous and friendly staff. Please keep it up! :)

We eat here once or twice a year every year. Everything is so delicious. The entire guest rooms are a feast for the eyes. Be sure to pre-order. Labskaus and fish soup are highly recommended.

We had dinner with Hasi in this very interesting restaurant. Charming ensemble, nostalgia at its best. We had fried herring, delicious potato pancakes and fresh cucumber salad. Service was friendly and attentive. Of course, there is still room for the prices to go down ;-)

We've been here repeatedly and it hasn't let up. The place breathes history in a tongue-in-cheek way, the service is still lively, attentive and friendly even after a long day. The dishes fit the area and are creatively prepared and sufficient in quantity. Price/performance fits. Others also know all of this, so prior reservation is advisable. Thank you and keep it up 👍

A beautiful, lovingly furnished restaurant with antique furnishings in various rooms. Family tradition is lived here. The innkeeper has a dry sense of humor and a very nice entourage, including his sister. The food is excellently prepared!!! You want to eat there every day.

One star is still too many!!! The three of us (pensioners) were there for lunch on November 6th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. The boss was annoying with his constant comments about "wisky with...." We were given a black menu, almost all dishes from €19.90. The neighboring table received a DIN A4 page in white. It was only by chance that the server also offered us schnitzel. We asked why it wasn't on the menu. Answer: You can ask. Great!!! So we ordered 2 Hamburger Schnitzels with fried potatoes and a Hamburger Schnitzel with croquettes. If you ask if there is a vegetable side dish >>> NO, you have to order it and pay extra. The schnitzel with fried egg, 2 thin slices of lemon and a long line of ketchup cost €19.90 each. The fried potatoes were lukewarm and one schnitzel was not cooked through. We belched on the schnitzels all afternoon. (old oil/fat) The waitress asked several times if everything was OK, to which we replied in the affirmative, as it would have been embarrassing to criticize the chef's other PRIVATE guests. We were there 3 years ago and there were no problems and the price-performance ratio was right. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN. We then looked at other places on the coast including the menu and also ordered ice cream sundaes in a restaurant. Everything was right there.

As always when we are on Usedom, a visit to the German House is recommended. Even with the young team and a few changes, a recommendation.

The restaurant is awesome! Well attended every day. It is advisable to reserve in advance. However, you only need to wait about 15-25 minutes before there are free places. The service is very fast, friendly and attentive. And the dishes are a “poem”!!! I can say that with 100% certainty because we were there at least 10 times over a period of three years.

This was our third time here and unfortunately the service was very poor. Special requests regarding the supplements were not taken into account. We wanted a dessert as a surprise for the birthday child and assumed a small decoration with candles or something similar. The dessert was brought to the table with the annoyed question “How am I supposed to make that a surprise” and was added to the bill. It's a shame that spontaneity wasn't possible 🤷🏽‍♀️ the food was still very tasty :)

One of the best restaurants I know on the island. Local dishes are on the menu. The food is excellent and the prices are moderate in comparison. It is recommended to book a table in advance as there are often large crowds.

My wife and I have been here for dinner for 3 days now, we each had 3 different meals, everything was great, the service was absolutely great and the atmosphere was very nice (quaint) unfortunately we are only holiday guests otherwise we would be here more often but we will definitely come again. Oh and the landlord was always very, very friendly. If he was a bit abrupt, maybe you guys didn't notice, but the restaurant was damn full and he was busy.

We spontaneously went to the Deutsches Haus for the first time to enjoy dinner. We all ordered different menus, including special requests for side dishes. Everything was very tasty and the portions were very good and the prices were reasonable. The service was very nice, competent and quick. The atmosphere is very nice, everything from earlier times has been brought together, hung or set up. Toilets are very clean. We'll definitely be back!

We were there for dinner. It was pretty full, we didn't have a reservation. Everything went quickly, the staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is plentiful and tastes excellent! The prices are OK and no different than anywhere else.

Hello everyone, I had dinner at the Deutsches Haus with my husband and friends... and if I'm in the area again I would eat there again because it tasted really good. Even the ambience outside and inside was great. The staff was also very friendly and quick.

Good restaurant with a nice selection of dishes. Good service with reasonable prices and very tasty food. Unfortunately the soft drinks are not that good. Parking is also difficult. Due to the larger room, it can be very loud, especially when small children and dogs are nearby. It would also be better for the dogs to stay outside due to the noise and cramped conditions. Always worth a visit.

Great nostalgic atmosphere with lots of beautiful details. No card payment, but it's difficult on the whole island, you can't criticize that. Get a table at short notice. The food and service were great. There was even a small play area for the children.

I'm referring exclusively to the restaurant here, we didn't use the hotel. There were four of us here (3 adults and one child). Due to our late call, we only had places available at 7:15 p.m. with the request not to come earlier. To put it bluntly, it was definitely worth it. It was packed and we sat inside. The selection of food was great, if you can't find anything here... Prices are absolutely justified, the portions are large. I can absolutely recommend it!

The inn has very tasty food. There is definitely more choice for fish lovers. 5 different beers on tap. The ambience takes a bit of getting used to but is kind of cute. The service was quick and attentive, the food was on the table after about 20 minutes. All in all, we were satisfied and would happily recommend the restaurant.

The food was great, the service too...but beware, you want to pay by card...then you have to "traipse" to the nearest savings bank. We're talking about the high season, absolute disgrace.

We wanted to reserve a table today and were told I don't have time, come back tomorrow. And that too from the boss. An absolute disgrace. I also noticed that you can no longer get a receipt there, which indicates tax fraud.
