Döpfner’s Goose for Christmas is an absolute recommendation. The quality is wonderful and tastes by far the best. The Maingau is a great family-run business and pays attention to quality. Thank you very much dear Maingau team 👍🏼

Dirt there is a simple Frankfurt cuisine. The staff is very friendly but a bit slow.

After 3 years we were back at Döpfner, Maingau today for goose dinner. We were very disappointed. Unfortunately, the goose was only mediocre, tough and without any special seasoning. Likewise the side dishes and the dessert. The sommelier was unbelievable, poured us two wines without any explanation, just briefly mentioned the names of the wines. We were very disappointed. A very poor value for money.

Very good food and friendly service

The service was very friendly, if a bit clumsy and busy. We came with high expectations; After all, you are at a good address. Unfortunately the Christmas goose wasn't good. The meat was a bit tough and the skin wasn't crispy. The red cabbage was mushy or overcooked. Dumplings were ok. Overall a disappointment. The third star is only given for the service efforts.

The goose was sensational again.

Good restaurant in the Hotel Maingau. We got to know it at a successful crime dinner. Dedicated staff, delicious food. Unfortunately the toilet is in the basement. The 2G proof was checked including your ID card.

The Döpfners restaurant is a family business through and through Dutch. I have been a regular guest since 1995. Unfortunately there are only event offers or to go, and of course also excellent catering. Last Friday I was able to take part in the stubble goose menu. It was again outstandingly good food and wonderful accompanying wines. The perfect kitchen craftsmanship also shines with innovative components that offer the curious palate new perspectives. Today I'm already looking forward to the New Year's Eve menu with wine accompaniment. Thank you very much for many hours of enjoyment.
