Family Christmas dinner for 8 adults. Unfortunately no turkey dishes could be served, but the food was still very good and the service (Vanessa) was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the Christmas atmosphere was missing. And according to what I hear/say, the toilets could do with some attention.

What's there: - comfortable bed - sufficiently spacious bedroom for 2 - Parking spaces directly in front of the building - Shared bathroom for 3 rooms (80s/90s style) - Birds (possibly budgies) in the house (extremely loud) What doesn't exist: - WiFi - reasonable shower (bathtub with curtain) - Breakfast - Air conditioning (room temperature in summer = outside temperature) The beer garden was closed at the time of my stay. In my opinion not worth the 150€/night.

First of all, it was not possible for us to order via Lieferando or Wolt because the apps stated that the company was not accepting orders at the moment. The owner later said they weren't open at the time, which I think was true. It's nonsense, because other restaurants explicitly offer pre-ordering, which is what we were planning on doing anyway. We wanted to pre-order on Wednesday for a small celebration (12 p.) on Friday. So we went there and ordered locally. We chose the party platter for 8 people twice. This includes 1 pizza tray (50x50cm, attention is still important!), 1 pasta tray, 1 salad tray, 12 pizza rolls and, depending on the size, 1L drink. Half of the pizzas were topped with different toppings, 1/2 each with tuna and onions, "Don Marcello" (tuna, ham, spicy salami), "Caprese" (buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, basil) and "Con Pollo" (chicken breast, cherry tomatoes). . For pasta we wanted Penne e Gamberi (cherry tomatoes, garlic, parsley, shrimp, tomato cream sauce and then Tortellini Panna e Presciutto cream sauce and ham. It was announced that tortellini was currently not available (!?) and that there was only penne or spaghetti available, but you could also make the dish with penne instead of tortellini. Even if we gritted our teeth, we agreed. Actually, my gut feeling should have told me that I should have turned around, but to be honest I didn't feel like looking for alternatives because we were always satisfied at Don Marcello and had been customers there for ages are. We were already regular customers of Don Camillo's predecessor. We ordered for 6 p.m. and we were told not to be angry if it was 10 minutes earlier or later. I'm still ripe "The main thing is hot". The latter in particular was completely ignored, but more on that later. The positive first: the pizza was good as always, even if it had regular mozzarella on it instead of buffalo. But given. The pasta was basically ok too. and the salad was absolutely great. The pizza rolls, as always not rolls but rather long diamond shapes, were fresh and great. BUT! Both the pizza and the pasta were lukewarm. Which was very annoying and embarrassing. I had to transfer the pasta and heat it up again in pots and the pizzas (luckily our oven can reach 350° and has rapid heating) also had to be baked. Very, very annoying, but hardly surprising. Because at 6:30 p.m. there was still no sign of the driver, I called Don Marcello and was told that the driver was on the way and had other directions. Sorry, but you should have your logistics under control and no matter how long you are on the road, you MUST make sure the food arrives hot. If I order food for €120 I EXPECT it to arrive perfectly. But if you use these ancient Styrofoam boxes from the 1990s, it won't work. Then the pizza trays were not 50x50cm trays but rather round pizzas of approx. 50cm. So, purely mathematically, we lost pizza by about 22%. Or to put it another way, two 50x10cm pizzas were missing. This corresponds to 2 normal pizzas of 26cm each! This is brazen and just bullshit. And the food became correspondingly scarce. Infinitely embarrassing when the guests don't dare to take the last piece. Then the pasta. In one there were hand-counted 4 (!!!) shrimp and in the other there was ONE very roughly cut slice of ham. Absolutely ridiculous. Since I had to cook everything again anyway, I took prawns out of the chest and added them and a few slices of smoked cheese that we still had to the other dish. All in all a total failure and Don Marcello died for us. I think they're on the verge of bankruptcy anyway. Apparently the entire staff consists of the "boss" and a driver, the fact that almost all types of pasta and many other dishes cannot be delivered also speaks volumes. It was a real shame and sad what was once the best pizza place.

Getting a burnt meatball for a hefty price of 3€50, that's not possible, the service is totally wrong and nothing is sorted out, it couldn't be worse.
