Bistro im Gesundheitspark in Gelsenkirchen

I had dinner there after work during my sauna visit. As shown in the countless pictures on the menu, they offer options with fries and a drink. I opted for a non-alcoholic wheat beer and mushroom fries. Before my visit, I had no idea what kind of "hunter's sauce" I could expect. Then the super friendly waitress came to the table with this amazing sauce and delicious 🤤 braised fresh mushrooms. Nicely arranged on a clay plate, with a good, generous portion of fries and mushrooms. On the table, funnily enough, there's a miniature sauna bucket containing cutlery and napkins for you to take, as well as salt, pepper, and sugar shakers. The ambiance feels cozy, and with seating areas reminiscent of wooden ships/hulls, it's very upscale and fitting for a restaurant in a saltwater spa. The price was €9.50, while the large wheat beer cost €4, which was absolutely fine for the quality ☺️ They're doing everything they can to combat inflation 🤩😉 according to the menu Top ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food is top-notch, with currywurst, Bolognese, and schnitzel! Large portions, and extra Parmesan cheese is also available! Your requests are listened to, AND for the low price, top-notch!

Super friendly and delicious food 👌

A very nice, cozy bistro. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The interior is beautifully decorated for Christmas. I had goulash soup. It tasted fantastic with lots of beef chunks. Very good value for money. I highly recommend this bistro.

Service very nice, food delicious

For several years, we've been meeting there regularly once a week after our sports program. They have a very nice, varied bistro menu with excellent value for money. The "small" salads are amazing in both taste and quantity, and we love the curry sauce! Of course, you won't find fine dining here, but you'll find solid bistro cuisine, which is also popular with pool and sauna guests. The staff is consistently very accommodating, friendly, yet unobtrusive... and they'll even accommodate "special requests" that aren't even listed on the menu. The ambiance is a bit minimalist; you won't find any playful decor here. A bar shaped like a ship's hull, porthole windows overlooking the pool, and photos of old Gelsenkirchen... everything is very clear and, much more importantly for us, very clean! We enjoy coming here and are already looking forward to the terrace with its large parasols as soon as the weather permits.

Super friendly staff, you feel at home!

Always delicious dishes at fair prices. Regardless of whether it's salad or schnitzel, it tastes good and we enjoy eating there while visiting the sauna. Card payments would be a given in 2022, but here you can only pay in cash... a shame. For this reason we had to go without food twice because we didn't have any cash with us.
