Dom Hotel Restaurant Café in St. Blasien

All good. A nice terrace with a view of the cathedral. Good service, nice staff, always happy again.

So we were there at 5:30 p.m. It took 10 minutes until someone finally came even though there was hardly anything going on. A gentleman from the staff came to our table with a very unfriendly face. I asked for the ice cream menu. He looked at the cathedral clock and I asked him what the time had to do with the oath card. He said there was no ice cream and all hell was about to break loose. I actually didn't want ice cream at all but wanted the ice cream menu so I could think about what I could eat and then maybe afterwards. Eating a little ice cream for dessert. I had an 87 year old senior woman with me so I didn't go straight away. The senior citizen then ordered a cake and a coffee with milk. I said in that case I wouldn't consume anything. What I ordered was delivered in an unfriendly manner. You felt totally unwelcome and out of place. Paid and left and ate somewhere else with ice cream. I have worked in service for 20 years and have... We sat at an unreserved table. I won't go there anymore and will continue the story. Thank God there are enough restaurants and cafés where you receive friendly service.

Das war das kleinste Stück Schwarzwälder, allerdings mit viel Kirschwasser🤗, der grosse Milchkaffee wsr in einem kleinen Täschchen aber dafür mit einer extra Portion Plastikmilch! Allein die tolle Lage zum Dom macht noch kein gutes Kaffee!

We stayed here for two nights and had a room with a wonderful view of the cathedral. Very neat and clean. The breakfast buffet was rich and fresh, the service was very friendly and accommodating. A parking ticket for the cathedral car park was available for a ten euro deposit. A great hotel that we will definitely visit again.

The tables are no longer so close together. Food very tasty. Serving portion very plentiful.

As in many years before...the quality is right ☆☆☆☆☆

Cappuccino and Black Forest cake the best far and wide. Stylish, elegant atmosphere with a great view of the Alb and the cathedral. Gladly again.

Mega unfriendly staff, snippy. A little tip, if the job isn't fun, retraining would be worth a try. Unfortunately a tourist pitfall.

For me, very nice rooms. Choice between old style, which I liked, and more modern ambience. The service was attentive and very friendly. The main courses were good, but opinions differ when it comes to the side salad.

1 nacht overnacht ivm het lopen van de Schluchtensteig. Hartelijke ontvangst door het personeel. Het hotel is gedateerd maar niet storend. Hotelkamer heeft voldoende ruimte. Staat tegenover de St. Blasien kathedraal de Dom. Eten ( diner en ontbijt) gevarieerd en perfect. Hond welkom in het hotel. Gastvriendelijk. Een prima hotel!

Erstes Haus am Platz. Beeindruckender Blick von der Sonnenterrasse auf den wunderschönen Dom. Markisen beschatten den Speiseplatz im Freien. Sehr empfehlenswert für ein angenehmes Mittagessen!

Ruhetag dus konden er niet eten. Hotel was erg gedateerd echter kamer was in orde. Zat bijna nieuwe badkamer in.

Das Essen war sehr Lecker, und das Personal war sehr Professionell komme gern wieder

Nicely located near the St. Blasien Cathedral, good car parking options in the vicinity. Good food, very nice staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Clean and spacious inside. Great cakes. High-priced, but that seems to be the new norm not only in gastronomy.

Die geschmorte Lammhaxe hat sehr gemundet, einfach lecker. Ja, sie hat so lecker geschmeckt, wie sie ausgesehen hat.

Toll empfangen worden. Zimmer mit Dom Blick. Kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

We waren er 's middags en dan is de keuken niet open. Jammer want we wilden wat eten. Uiteindelijk dan maar een stuk taart gegeten.

An einem total verregneten Herbsttag zog es uns in dieses Café. Da Gebäude wirkte einladend und es gab Fensterplätze zum Dom hin, aber auch über dem Flüßchen namens Alb. Wir wollten nur etwas Warmes trinken, was natürlich kein Problem war. Die Begrüßung war nicht unfreundlich, aber auch nicht mehr. Wir bestellten einen Tee und einen Cappuccino. Beides wurde von der weiblichen, jungen "Fachkraft" auf einem Tablett gebracht und dieses wortlos auf den Tisch gestellt. Wortlos! Die Getränke konnten wir uns dann selbst hinstellen. So nicht! An dem Tee konnte man nicht alles falsch machen, mein Cappuccino war nicht mehr wirklich heiß und vor allen Dingen nicht stark genug. Was haben wir in den paar Tagen im Schwarzwald für tolle Cafés kennengelernt. So spart man Trinkgeld!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, sehr freundlich essen war super,später waren wir nochmals da,Eis essen,sehr lecker.es wurde nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist.wir hatten einen Schönen Tag, dort würde ich immer wieder hingehen. Ganz liebe Grüße aus Karlsruhe macht weiter so.gruss Birgit

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe im Restaurant zum Mittagessen, gute Karte, gutes Preisleistungsniveau , sehr schmackhaftes Essen und für jeden von der Menge her ausreichend. Sehr freundliches Personal und trotz sehr kurzfristiger Anmeldung kaum Wartezeiten. Gerne wieder! Danke auch für das freundliche Entgegenkommen!

Die letzten 3 Male war es immer ein wenig schlechter, schade ! Preis-Leistung stimmt leider nicht mehr!

Leider hat sich der vorher positive Eindruck verschlechtert. Der Koch-vermutlich Chef-unfreundlich, das Essen sehr verdächtig,dass nicht hausgemacht zu einem hohen Preis....schade
