Currywurst fried in a deep fryer, that says it all, how can you deep-fry a bratwurst and then sell it as currywurst? That's not okay at all, unfortunately I have to give it one star, preferably 0. I'm on holiday in northern Germany and stopped off here. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the Ruhr area with its popular Dönninghaus sausage, voted the best currywurst in Germany. But as I said, that's not okay with deep-fried bratwurst. The man behind the counter has no idea about food, just put it in the deep fryer and that's it, the mayo is thin as if it had been stretched with water. Even the shashlik is deep-fried, that's not okay at all, yuck. It's fast food and a chip shop, but do you really have to drown everything in fat? The chips were left in the deep fryer for far too long. The sausage was either grilled on a gas grill or used the very best charcoal grill. Once and never again. The currywurst and fries ended up in the trash. 🤮🤮 I thought I'd just move on. And goodbye, greetings from Uwe in the Ruhr area. P.S. You can also fry the currywurst in a pan; it's still better than a deep fryer.

I've enjoyed this snack bar for decades, but the portions of fries are getting smaller and smaller. It's starting to get a bit cheeky. €3.60 is too little.

It was very nice there; I felt like I was at a good old snack bar! The service was quite good and friendly. But the fries were regular frozen fries, the kind you'd buy at the supermarket. Otherwise, the selection of food and drinks was very large, and overall, it was very nice! But I have to say, the prices are very good!

Hi, I've lived in this area for 35 years, and this snack bar used to be legendary. I was back after a long absence and was sadly deeply disappointed. I ordered the classic: half a chicken with fries to go. When I got home, I unpacked and unfortunately discovered that the small half chicken had been grilling for a while... it was completely dry. The portion of fries was a decent size, but unfortunately tasted rancid, which was probably due to the frying oil. Overall, I can't recommend this snack bar anymore.

Big YouTube advertisement that doesn't correspond to the quality of the food. On July 7th, 2025 I went to the snack bar to eat the tasty Hänschen. Unfortunately the chicken was very small, very dry and probably from the day before. I paid €6.80 + fries and mayo €11.00 without a receipt. The fresh chickens were grilled in the grill. I didn't see the dishes that were shown on YouTube in the store. Been there once and not anymore. Had stomach constipation for a day.

Is still one of the traditional grill snacks. Good fresh home cooking, nice service and also good to sit outside.

I've been a customer at the Dithmarscher Grill for a long time and so far everything has been really tasty🤤 But my absolute favorite are the Königsberger Klopse, which are simply great😍😜 Yes, ok, the staff is of course also super tasty, oh no, I meant very friendly😘

Unfortunately you can't give more than 5 stars... I had the curryworst with fries. Wonderful harmony of flavors, add a Fanta and the meal is complete! A feel-good oasis for gourmets and snack enthusiasts!

This is another establishment that can be described as a “real” snack bar! The store is easy to find, the decor is quaint but clean and well-kept. The people behind the counter are very friendly and relaxed, we felt really welcome and were served quickly. The fries alone are worth the trip, crispy and delicious. We also had half chicken - and they were finger-licking good! There's enough meat on it, the degree of cooking is perfect and the seasoning is classic - it's just a shame that you'll be full at some point... Conclusion: We'll see each other again soon, very soon!

One of the last good German snack bars left in Hamburg. No frills. The food tasted great and the nice gentleman behind the counter couldn't have done better service. People like to eat here.

We relied on the fact that - as stated on the website and on Google - it was open on Sunday. Unfortunately, we were left very disappointed and hungry in front of a closed door with no alternative. Too bad.

I had actually also ordered a curry meatball that I know from the Ruhr area and thought I would get this sauce too. But when I unpacked it it was "dry without anything" I also think it's a shame that you can't get currywurst fries on a large plate. Why is everything packed individually in small bowls?

The statement "Normal portion of fries" is evaluated very flexibly; sometimes it seems as if the "small portion" is being served. However, the small portion of fries is really ridiculously small. Felt 6-8 fries. Especially when combined with a giant currywurst, the portion of fries seems rather small, even though you pay for a "normal portion".

I've been coming here off and on for many years. The price-performance ratio has been top for years.

Had a menu called "Kitiki", i.e. meatball, fries, coleslaw for €12.90. Drink was not included. Despite adding salt, the fries only tasted mediocre, the coleslaw was very strange and the lightly filled meatball was absolutely tasteless and terribly dry. Too bad, will never come back.

I ate there. Meatball with fried potatoes, red cabbage and sauce. Small tomato salad and a cola. The food was ok. The tomato salad was a bit soggy (the tomatoes) I thought 20 euros for a snack was pretty excessive. But maybe it's just me. The next time I have lunch in a restaurant, I'll save around 8 euros

I'm actually satisfied. The food tastes good. Staff is friendly. But what shocked me were the prices compared to other snack bars. My wife and I had a meal with a drink there and had to pay just under €36. If I had put down ten euros, I could have gone to a restaurant to eat.

If you want to visit a real snack bar, you should go there. Has a real snack bar feel and the fries were very tasty. The cucumber salad is also recommended.

Traditional snack that is unfortunately rarely found today. Classic dishes at moderate prices. Nice owners and cozy atmosphere. When the weather is nice you can also eat outside. However, one point is deducted for the fact, which has often been criticized here, that it seems like all dishes are prepared with the deep fryer. Unfortunately, the term “grill” is somewhat reduced to absurdity here...

The Dithmarscher Grill snack bar in Hamburg impressed me with its uncomplicated, rustic charm and delicious food. Sehr einfach gehalten, leckeres Essen, tolle Bedienung, Sanitärbereich müsste unbedingt mal Renoviert / Erneuert werden. Aber ansonsten Preis / Leistung Top, ich hatte Bratkartoffeln und 1 Frikadelle was sehr gut war und meine Frau Currywurst Pommes auch das Gericht war Einwandfrei, dazu hatten wir einen frischen Salat "Tomaten... Bohnen.... und Gurkensalat" waren alle 3 Supi. Portionen waren auch zum satt werden, also alles Tutti. Gerne wieder. 👋

Ehrliche Imbissbude mit dem typischen Charme. Im Sommer kann man auch gut draußen sitzen. Meine Empfehlung: Riesen Currywurst mit Pommes!

Sind sehr oft dort es wurde über die Jahre schlechter mal schmeckt es gut mal schlecht auffallend ist das es immer am sonntag am frischesten ist meiner meinung nach off die portion sind kleiner geworden was bei den Preisen Schade ist dennoch mag ich die Atmosphäre ❤️🍀

Wie immer eine tolle Currywurst und Pommes genauso sein Abwechslungreicher Mittagstisch der für jeden etwas zu bieten hat. Natürlich kommt auch die freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung zum tragen.1Jahr Zwangsruhe trotzdem wie immer hervorragend. Die Preise sind angezogen wohl Bedingt durch die allgemeine Wirtschaft lagen.

Auch nach der Wiedereröffnung ein Imbiss, wie ich ihn mir vorstelle. Der Laden ist sehr sauber, das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service gewohnt freundlich. Gut, dass ihr wieder da seid!

Habe eine völlig unverfängliche und positive Bewertung verfasst, aber sie hat angeblich gegen die Google-Richtlinien verstoßen, warum auch immer. Vielleicht hat sie ja irgendwelche Gefühle verletzt, weil ich das Spanferkel erwähnte. Bin mal gespannt, ob diese Rezension bleiben darf. Ich bleibe dabei, dass das ein wunderbarer Imbiss ist bzw. leider war. Seit dem Kellerbrand vermisse ich ihn sehr!

Gibt ja fast nur noch Döner, Pizza, Sushi , Vietnam essen, hier kann wenigstens noch deutsche Hausmannskost bekommen und das mit guten Portionen.

Seit wir im Home-Office sind, kommen wir einmal wöchentlich hier her. Es gibt neben den typischen Imbissgerichten (Pommes, Bratwurst, Hähnchen & Co.) viele wechselnde Tagesgerichte nach Hausmannskost. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Uns hat es immer geschmeckt - wir kommen gern wieder.

Wir sind zufällig über den etwas versteckten Imbiss mit Sitzgelegenheiten gestolpert und klar, es ist kein Sterne Restaurant, aber die Speisen zum Mitnehmen wurden heiß verpackt, waren sehr lecker & erschwinglich und die Portionen waren wirklich mehr als genug, wenn man nicht maßlos verfressen ist ;) Wir kommen "nach Corona" ganz sicher auch mal um dort vor Ort zu essen! Der Lieferradius reicht leider nicht bis zu uns, aber wir wohnen auch in Niendorf & es soll ja schließlich auch heiß ankommen, daher kein Problem. Weiter so :)

Wir bestellten wirklich saftigen & fluffigen Hackbraten, 1/2 knusprigen Hahn, Pommes Schranke & eine Portion Hühnerfrikassee - reichlich und wirklich top für den Preis 🥇 Wir bestellen ganz sicher wieder! Viele Grüße aus Wandsbek, Max & Jana

Wir haben heute Hähnchen/Pommes bestellt. Die Lieferung kam innerhalb von 20 Minuten, super schnell. Das Hähnchen war schön knusprig und perfekt gewürzt und die Pommes auch sehr lecker. Wir bestellen auf jeden Fall wieder.
