The waitress was so overwhelmed, wearing gloves and handling cash... Cold Kumpir without cheese(?!)

Croque: A 1/4 rubbery baguette, with a topping and other ingredients, for toothless people, with extremely thin toppings and undercooked! Unfortunately, the price is way overpriced!!! 10 years ago, you could get two baguettes like this and a soft drink for that price!!!

I've been there a few times for lunch, and the service and food were truly excellent! I don't understand the negative comments. I'd love to come back! ☆☆☆☆☆

A total flop!!!! Croque Krispy Kravitz There was no crispy chicken breast on it, just unidentifiable meat crumbs, cheese on top, and it went straight into the oven. No salad on top. Just the sauce slapped on. Croque Amy Hawaii House wasn't any better. Very thin slices of ham, a few pieces of pineapple from a can. Cheese on top, that's it. No salad. But there was sauce. They charged €13 for it. A disgrace. Addendum: That same evening, I received a call from Croque Star apologizing for the incorrect delivery. Now that's huge respect.

Delicious food! They always work with gloves, and the price-performance ratio is top-notch! If it's croque, go to the stars 💯

Very tasty croques, very friendly service, comfortably furnished, so that you also enjoy eating there.

It was OK. It all took a relatively long time. Because the croque seemed short to me, I measured it. The 28 cm is actually only 24 cm. It doesn't have to be exact, but 4 cm less is a lot to me. The amount of iceberg lettuce and coleslaw was OK, but I had to hunt for the tomato – it wasn't really there. The cocktail sauce was also OK, very mild. For what you get, the price of €10.50 is, in my opinion, too much.

Disappointing – unfortunately, not what it used to be I ordered a Croc Tuna and another Croc. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed this time. The bread used to be much crispier, and the sauces tasted better too. I particularly didn't like the Croc Tuna – it had a strange aftertaste, which completely ruined the experience. Overall, the value for money is no longer good. It's a shame, because I had better memories. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at the moment.

We've always thought Croque Star was one of the best croque shops. But last time wasn't a great experience! We said right from the start that we wanted iceberg lettuce, and when we saw that the lady had put coleslaw on the fully-filled croque, we pointed it out to her. She then seriously just put the lettuce back in the bowl!! For the next order! Yuck!! And in terms of taste, I always thought you couldn't go wrong. But this one was really awful. I would have preferred to make myself some toast. But before that, the shop was great!

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment. We ordered two croques and the bread wasn't even close to being cooked through. Mine were also missing tomatoes (which wasn't a big deal, since we ate there and I could get them later). When I told the employee I wanted to comment on the bread, she replied, "Everything's fine," even though I hadn't said anything (communication in general was difficult). I said that unfortunately, not everything was okay because the bread was still almost raw, and all I got was a "sorry" or an apology. I still had to pay the full price... 😞 So, I/we are definitely not going there again. €16.50 for nothing.

Delicious croques, with a different croque to choose from every day of the week. The salads are also highly recommended. The service is 😊 friendly, and you can accommodate special requests.

Ordered food at 6:30 PM, delivery arrived at 8:09 PM. Unfortunately, the croque was cold and the salad was poorly prepared. Our special request was ignored. We won't be ordering from there again.

Both the croques and the service are continually getting worse! Today, even though the croques were wrapped up on the counter, we were allowed to wait until the waitress had finished her private conversation. When we got home, the croques were not only cold but also not crispy and not particularly topped. The garlic sauce caused both of our lips to burn! On a Camembert Croque there were just 3 tiny Camembert slices and about 10 cranberries, plus plenty of salad. Here they clearly skimp on the right ingredients and on the service, which is subpar. The gloves were not only used for making croques but also for cashiers and making phone calls. Hygienically it's total horror. Too bad we lost loyal, long-standing customers. The owner should not forget that customers will only come back and perhaps even spread word of mouth if the service is good and the goods are of at least adequate quality. So: actually zero stars if it were technically possible. It's a shame, the CroqueStar used to be really good but that was a long time ago...

Completely overwhelmed staff. Waited over an hour for food that wasn't even lukewarm. Never again!

I was there yesterday. There was unhygienic leftover food on the floor and the employee took the money with gloves on and used it to make the croques. The toilet is broken but according to the employee you can apparently use it. But there was also an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. It's probably not cleaned regularly or hardly at all. So overall a shop that I don't recommend at all. The food was anything but tasty.

I had lunch at this store yesterday. I ordered a Sucuk Croque. It normally costs 10.50, but the employee asked me for 13€. Although I didn't include any extra side dishes. Then I asked why the Sucuk Croque suddenly costs €13. She told me they had changed the prices and hadn't changed the price on the order card yet. The Sucuk Croque was served without salad or sauce. It was probably forgotten. Price performance is really not that good what you get for €13. To do this, she serves an employee who is only busy on her cell phone and not with the customer.

Eating was always good, but what I experienced today is really bottom drawer. Since then, I have always ordered in advance by phone. That was never a problem. Today, when we called for the first time, nothing was said and the phone was put aside. The second time all they said was “Hello”. When it became clear that I was really at Croque Star, I tried to order by phone as usual. (I wasn't asked, only the answer was yes). This time I was told that the croques are only baked in the oven when I arrive there is. When asked, the answer was bluntly that he could already prepare it. (which makes no sense at all but OK). When I asked what big things need to be prepared for a croque, where everything is usually already prepared, I hung up. Unfriendliest person ever on the phone, unfriendliest shop in all of Barmbek. I advise you to find another store where you will at least be treated like a human being. One less regular customer. I'm really disappointed and was otherwise always happy with the food (hence 4 stars).

Had the Udo Schinkenberg with garlic sauce. It was super tasty and the guy in the store is very friendly.

The selection is really big and the prices are good too. Crouqe and kumpir are very tasty. You can choose one of many sauces! Have been there twice now and will definitely come back. I also find the service really friendly and cool.

The employee is only on the phone... if you want to order over the phone it takes a long time until someone gets there... croques are very tasty here, it's a shame that the employees aren't that great

The croque was very tasty, I would definitely recommend it. The shop is nicely decorated and clean. I think it's very good that the employees wear gloves when they add different ingredients to the croque.

Have you ever heard of climate change??? The food tastes good, but an endless amount of plastic is wasted. Plastic straws were abolished 3 years ago and if you can pack your kumpirs in cardboard you will also find a solution for the other pile of plastic. Take a closer look and see how the employees put plastic bags in plastic containers... There are certainly other solutions for the sauces and salad 🤦‍♀️ Even McDonalds has gotten rid of plastic... just sad.

Cute little shop with funny names for the croques. Super tasty, we are regulars.

It is impossible to order by telephone to be picked up in this store - the employees never answer the phone and make no effort to prepare it. Therefore, it cannot be recommended. The boss should think about it if he hired someone there.

Mein Mann und ich sind jahrelange Kunden im Croque-Star. Bisher waren wir immer sehr zufrieden, auch wenn jedes Mal ein neuer Mitarbeiter eingestellt wird. Aber das, was heute (12.11) in diesem Laden passiert ist, ist kaum zu fassen. Direkt als wir anfingen zu essen, begann die Mitarbeiterin (dunkle Haare) lautstark mit ihrer Freundin zu telefonieren. Mein Mann und ich waren die einzigen Kunden im Laden. Sie telefonierte auf Lautsprecher und fing an, rum zu schreien und ganz komische Aussagen zu tätigen. Sie erzählte lautstark, wie viele Typen ihr doch auf insta schreiben und mit wie vielen Typen sie sich privat trifft. Sie erzählte, was sie und die Typen machen… ja, ihr lest richtig!! Einfach nur geisteskrank und unprofessionell!!!! Noch dazu erwähnte sie etwas mit Stripclub…. Und das alles LAUTSTARK während wir unsere croques gegessen haben. Wie kann man sich so schamlos und peinlich verhalten? Wir haben sie am Ende respektvoll darauf angesprochen, dass das alles einfach nur unangenehm war und man nicht solche Dinge aus ihrem Privatleben hier erfahren möchte. Sie verdrehte die Augen, hielt uns genervt das kartengerät hin und sah ihren Fehler nicht ein. Wie kann man so uneinsichtig sein? Das beste kommt jetzt: als wir aus dem Laden liefen, sagte sie sehr laut zu ihrer Freundin, ich zitiere :,,Lass mal Kiez arbeiten, ich hab kein Bock mehr.“ Zu solch einer Aussage muss ich nichts hinzufügen, denn der Kiez wäre wahrscheinlich ein besserer Arbeitsplatz für sie. Ich hoffe, dass der Chef nun endlich genauer hinschaut, wenn er wieder einen neuen Mitarbeiter einstellt. Und habt ihr leider als Gäste verloren.

Croque war verbrannt, Neue Mitarbeiterin wieder, die die schlimmste von allen war, die bisher hier gearbeitet haben. Telefoniert lautstark durch den Laden, war sogar so viel das ich es angesprochen hab. Nur Augen verdreht und ins Telefon gesprochen, dass sie lieber auf dem Kiez arbeiten will. Find die Idee gut, passt da auch besser rein. Bin hier jahrelanger Kunde gewesen aber wenn ich sie sehe, verlasse ich direkt wieder den Laden.

Super leckerer Croque und netter Service. Nächste Woche wieder ;-)

Tadellos gemachte Croques in der Hinsicht gerne wieder, aber Preise um die 10 Euro ist dann doch ein bisschen sehr happig. Croque Camenbert mit 1 Flasche Cola 14 Euro. Sind mehr Restaurantpreise als wie Bistropreise. Von daher ein Stern abzug.

Hab viele Croque Läden in der Umgebung probiert aber muss sagen, dass dieser hier mit Abstand der beste ist. Service ging auch super schnell. In jedem Fall würde ich hier wieder essen. Daumen hoch.

Ich und mein Freund waren dort heute kumpir essen und abgesehen das das Essen Süper lecker war, war der junge Mitarbeiter auch Super freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen

So gestern noch Mal ein Versuch gestartet, Wieder nur Enttäuscht!! Brot lecker kann man nichts zu sagen , Aber Auflagen muß man mit der Lupe suchen , das reicht evt für ein Halbes Croque wenn Überhaupt, Salat passt ,aber für mich auf alle Fälle bei den Preis das Letzte mal Bestellt !! mich als Kunden verloren !!

Habe mir ein Thunfisch Kumpir (gebackene Kartoffel) bestellt und vor Ort gegessen, war sehr lecker. Der Ladenbesitzer ist sehr freundlich. Wurden oft gefragt ob alles okay ist. Die Preise passen zu den Portionen. Man wird auf jeden Fall satt. Das nächste Mal werde ich ein Croque probieren. Kann ich nur empfehlen 👍🏻

Wirklich einer der besten Croque Läden Hamburgs. Der Ladenbesitzer ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Brot ist schön kross, aber nicht zu hart. Außerdem ist der Salat sehr frisch. :) Die Preise sind für Hamburger Verhältnisse auch sehr gut.

Top Qualität, aber leider viel Wartezeit. 10.10.22 ..Das mit der Wartezeit hat sich deutlich verbessert.

Essen4sterne -service3sterne -wartezeiten 2sterne räumlichkeiten zum essen 2.5sterne...Croque kann man sehr gut essen,aber auch nicht nicht das nonplus ultra bzw absoluter woow effekt fehlt ...was negativ auffällt,das die zeiten zum abholen nie stimmen,man kann fast jedesmal nochmal mindestens 10-15min draufpacken und freundlichkeit der mitarbeiter ist standart...laden klein und zum vorort essen läd der mich persöhnlich nicht ein...

Sehr leckerer Croque, sehr frisch und schnell zubereitet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Getränkeauswahl ist sehr vielfältig. Ich freue mich aufs nächste mal !

Bedienung war desinteressiert und unfreundlich und hat für einen Wrap 15 Minuten gebraucht (obwohl im Laden zu der Zeit nichts los war) und der Wrap war nichts besonderes noch dazu leider komplett kalt.

Am Anfang habe ich die Croque‘s immer mitgenommen, damit man sie entspannt zuhause essen kann. Geschmacklich der absolute Wahnsinn. Wenn man vor Ort ist, schmeckt es noch besser. Der Croque ist noch frischer und knackiger! So oder so bei Croque Star gibt es den besten Croque Hamburgs!

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL DEALER! ✊🏻 Wer suchet, der findet. Hier werden u.a. sehr, sehr leckere Kumpir-Kartoffeln verkauft. Man findet diese eher selten in + um Hamburg-Barmbek. Hier ist man auf jeden Fall goldrichtig! Der Geschmack, der Service und der Preis spricht für sich. Wir entwickeln uns, wenn’s dann mal was zum abholen sein soll, langsam aber sicher zum Stammkunden und konnten zuletzt auch Schwiegereltern überzeugen 🤤 Edit: Mittlerweile muss ich leider 2 Sterne abziehen, da die Qualität in den letzten Wochen nachgelassen hat, entweder war das Essen kalt (obwohl wir es abgeholt haben) oder die Bestellung (trotz Vorbestellung) noch verhältnismäßig lange Wartezeit vor Ort bedeutete (30 min und mehr).. der Chef scheint wohl kürzer zu treten, hoffe das wird kein Dauerzustand 🙏🏻

Für mich mit Abstand der beste Croque in Hamburg. Preisleistungs Verhältnis mehr als Fair anders wo zahlt man schon das doppelte. Mitarbeiter immer stets freundlich. Bewertungen, dass das Brot vom Vortag sein soll kann ich persönlich nicht bestätigen. Bei mir schmeckt es immer frisch und lecker. Liebes Croque Star Team✨ Vielen Dank für den Gaumenschmaus.

Der Croque schmeckt super, es wird nicht an Belag gespart. Die Bedienung ist ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend.

Super keckeres und frisches Essen

Seit Jahren perfekte Croques: Der Besitzer hat sich mit dem Laden seinen Traum erfüllt und das merkt man ihm auch an. Der Dude ist meganice und jeder meiner Croques hat bisher die perfekte Röstung und Zubereitung gehabt, Herzblut bis ins Detail eben. Für diejenigen, die hier wegen der neuen preise meckern: Ich finde 7.50€ für etwas, dass schmeckt und pappsatt macht in diesen Zeiten völlig legitim.

Ich war hier schon jetzt 5 mal essen und die Qualität ist einfach toll. Das Brot und die Soßen sind so mega lecker und nicht vergleichbar mit anderen Läden, die auch lecker sind aber hier ist es einfach besser. Süßes habe ich noch nicht probiert, weil ich immer zu satt bin aber es sieht und riecht lecker wenn es am neben Tisch serviert wird. Der Preis ist auch sehr gut. Probiert es auf jeden Fall aus wenn ihr auf der Suche seid.
