Diekmann in Berlin

Die Küche ist kreativ, die Speisen sind mit feinen Zutaten und Saucen gut abgeschmeckt. Bei uns waren auf dem Teller eine Spargelvorspeise, Austern, Loup de Mer und Polpo. Die Austern waren nicht ganz so gut wie von anderen gerieben, manche etwas mickrig und mich irritierte, dass keine einzige bei betreuen mit Zitronensaft noch zuckte. Den Magen haben wir uns dennoch nicht verdorben. Die Weinkarte ist der bodenständig, was ich aber auch im Preis reflektiert. Die Hauptspeisen liegen um die 35 €. Etwas befremdlich ist, dass Brot separat bestellt und bezahlt werden muss. Das habe es ist angenehm und aufmerksam. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

Nice location with tables pleasantly spaced out. Very friendly service. Loved the amuse bouche and starter, followed by a solid main. Would come again.

İt's not easy to find food and service worth the price in this city. But Diekmann is a big exception. İt's the first time here, having lived close by for the last three years but it won't be the last. The food was exceptional. Everything was well seasoned and presented. The service was also great. Something else I also value that they did is that there was a pleasant amount of time between courses. Nothing was rushed. We have tried: oysters, ravioli, Lupe de Mare and the pulpo. Plus the white asparagus. Very happy. No complaints.

Beyond their renowned oysters, Diekmann offers delightful seasonal lunches and dinners. Tucked away just steps from the vibrant Ku'damm, it’s one of my absolute faves in Charlottenburg.

Creatively prepared dishes, extremely tasty. And the best oysters in town are served here! Fine wines round off the feast. The staff is incredibly charming! A pearl, this little French restaurant!

Stopped for drinks and oysters for Bday lunch. Worth it, good variety and selection oysters to choose from (size/salt). Chucked to order, good wine pairings and oyster accompaniments that are more BERLIN local as opposed to North American style wine vinegar and Tabasco.

We were there spontaneously for a business lunch. We liked it so much that we came back in the evening. The food and service are fantastic! We haven't eaten so well and honestly in a long time, it was a great culinary experience. Thank you very much, we'll be back!

A very pleasant surprise: one of the restaurants where I ate best in Berlin, of excellent quality (even the wines!). I don't give 5 stars (even though the exquisite food deserves them all!) solely because of the service: inadequate and poorly prepared for such a beautiful and quality place.

A quick lunch with work colleagues and my first visit. On arrival the first impression is a friendly, comfortable, nicely appointed, relaxed and non pretentious. All staff were super friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The business lunch had a small but diverse selection of options and I cannot fault anything and neither could my two colleagues. Fantastic across the board. Will be back on my next trip. Thank you.

An almost perfectly put together menu, a very well-matched and interesting wine pairing and a discreet and informal service left a lasting and extremely positive impression on us. We would love to be guests at Diekmann again on our next visit to Berlin.

I hadn't been there for a few years. The renovation, which took place some time ago, was very successful. The rooms are still cozy, now more elegant. The tables are not so close together, which is also very pleasant. The price-performance ratio was very fair and the quality was very good. We all had different starters, main courses and desserts, everything delicious and also sumptuous. The wine list is clear, but we were all happy with the selection. Conclusion: worth it!

Nous étions 4 amis amateurs de bonne chère, réjouis à l'idée d'un repas au restaurant Diekmann. Lors de la réservation sur le site internet, il était possible de réserver pour 20h ou 20h30 mais seulement aux tables hautes. Pensant qu'il s'agissait de tables de seconde zone, nous avons préféré réserver à 21h où la mention ne figurait plus. En arrivant, nous avons été placés aux tables hautes... Qui étaient au demeurant très agréables. Affamés, nous nous réjouissions de commander le menu 6 plats, accompagné de son accord mets-vins. L'herbe nous a très vite été coupée sous le pied puisque la serveuse nous a informés qu'il n'était pas possible de manger plus que 4 plats étant donné l'heure tardive. Il n'est pas très agréable de constater que, même si l'on peut réserver jusqu'à 22h, les plats disponibles se réduisent comme peau de chagrin au fur et à mesure que la soirée avance, ne laissant que peu de possibilités de se faire plaisir au client tardif. Les 4 plats furent cependant corrects et même si notre déception initiale n'a pas pu s'estomper réellement, du fait également de la faible sympathie des serveurs, nous avons passé une soirée agréable.

Mega store 5 stars plus!!! The 4-course meal was a true masterpiece and a dreamy delight from start to finish. Every course thrilled us again and again. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the freshness of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. With every course we thought it couldn't get any better, but the chefs proved us wrong. Every bite melted perfectly in your mouth. It was a sensation for the taste buds. The service was also attentive, warm and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, stylish and cozy, so you immediately feel at home. We can only recommend it to everyone and look forward to the next visits.

Even some bread can be delicious, fresh and of the best quality. A glass of rosé ice cold and sparkling! From now on I will always stop here when I am in Berlin!

No estaba seguro de si quería dar este 3 o 4. Es mejor que la media, pero no estoy seguro de que lo llamaría muy bueno. Llegué alrededor de las 21: Un jueves a las 00, y no parecía muy ocupado. Pedí la barriga de cerdo con repollo y ciruela. Antes de recibir eso, el servidor amigable me preguntó si quería pan. Tengo una cesta con 3 rebanadas de pan brioche y pan de masa madre junto con un poco de mantequilla dorada salada. También me dieron un pequeño aperitivo que era muy bueno. El principal fue servido, y estaba muy sabroso, por desgracia un poco demasiado grasa en el vientre de cerdo y la cantidad de col no era realmente suficiente. Tuve que depender del pan para estar más lleno. Luego pedí su mousse de chocolate con un centro de crema brava. Fue una gran sorpresa ver que la mitad inferior era un tazón de chocolate blanco crujiente encantador, sin embargo, la espuma en sí era un poco sosa y sabía más como si se hubiera hecho en cacao en lugar de chocolate. Así el contraste con el centro de la crème brûlée era muy débil. El servicio era muy atento y agradable, así que no hay quejas allí. A este nivel de precios esperaría un poco más.

Instead of being in the restaurant, a high table was reserved in the farthest corner of the oyster bar. Very annoying because sitting high with a small dog (which was registered) is not an option. What was particularly annoying was the staff's comment that it was my fault. I should have pointed out that we wanted to sit in the restaurant. Is it a special request to dine in the restaurant? No, more so if I want to go to the oyster bar. Nobody apologized or offered any other option. At these prices and at this "level" I would have expected something different. Our birthday dinner was therefore cancelled. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being your guests.

We sat outside because of the nice weather, which is atmospheric in the dark. Since we weren't that hungry, we only had oysters (4 different ones) and a starter as well as the good bread/brioch. Everything was perfect and the waiters were very friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

The brioche was already exquisite, perhaps even too much in advance There were 4 varieties of oysters including Irish, organic and Fin de Claire A terrific lobster bisque / duxelles / nut butter gave me the France feeling. That's how I imagined it. Thank you for the perfect service and cuisine

Lo positivo es que la calidad de la comida es muy alta, pero varias cosas no funcionaron en nuestra visita, como debería en un restaurante de alto precio como Diekmann. Pedí dos copas de vino, una para mi entrada y otra para el plato principal. El primero fue servido minutos después de que el titular fuera servido. El segundo vaso no vino, hasta que casi había terminado el plato principal. Mi postre, el pastel de manzana, se servía frío y parecía que venía directamente del refrigerador. Como recibí la factura, era incorrecto con respecto a las dos copas de vino. El personal era amable, pero lamentablemente no lo logró esa noche.

What a beautiful experience. The oysters were excuisite, food was very original and playful, the place has a very cozy vibe and the servers were lovely! Would definitely visit again. Thank you!

Unfortunately not a very impressive experience. We ate the full 6 course chef’s choise menu with wine pairing and it took almost 4 hours. Between courses the waiting time was way too long, wines were already served and we had finished them before the food was served, they clearly could not handle a full house. On one dish one of us was not served the sauce belonging to the dish and we had to ask it separately. Salmon was very much over done and dry. Can’t recommed to anyone. Only the dessert was worth mentioning and very nice!

Na een paar jaar weer terug. Kom er al meer dan 30 jaar. Kwaliteit en bediening uitstekend. Ook de sfeer en de locatie vlak bij de Ku-damm. Enige kritiekpunt is de lang wachttijden tussen de gangen. Maar, als je de tijd hebt is het geen straf. Stevig aan de prijs.

A great evening in a wonderful atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Starting with a recommended Cremant Rosé, we started with three types of bread and an incredible nut butter. Then I had the big oyster trip with 4*2 oysters each of great quality. To use the space still available in the To fill my stomach, a heavenly lobster bisque accompanied by a Grüner Veltliner followed.

A first visit and definitely not the last. Everything was really right. Very good food, the most attentive service in Berlin, fantastic crémant. High prices that are justified. Diekmann delivers, it's worth it.

Actually a nice restaurant with a great concept, the service is super nice but unfortunately completely understaffed... you wait a long time and sometimes have to hope that the waitresses see you because they are so stressed. I really feel sorry for the poor, food was okay but for the price I expect more creativity.

Das Diekmann in der Meinekestraße 7 in Charlottenburg ist ein Restaurant mit einem wunderbaren Ambiente und einem sehr freundlichen Service! Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Zu Mittag kehren hier offensichtlich sehr viele Geschäftsleute und Anwälte aus den umliegenden Büros ein. Die Speisen sind sehr gut, auch wenn hier geschmacklich sicher noch Luft nach oben ist und die Portionen auch nicht allzu groß ausfallen. Das soll der positiven Bewertung hier aber keinen Abbruch tun. Die Preise für den Mittagstisch sind vergleichsweise moderat.

Friendly but unobtrusive service. The menu was sophisticated and technically flawless - flexible reactions to “special requests” (no meat, cheese could be chosen instead of dessert). Pleasant atmosphere; This was definitely not our last visit.

Ein wirklich ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Das Ambiente wirkt sehr einladend und gemütlich. Auch die Gerichte waren sehr lecker und die Küche hat ohne Probleme noch einige extra Wünsche umsetzen können. Abgesehen davon überzeugte mich der Service am meisten. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - so wie man das von einem Restaurant dieser Klasse auch erwarten kann. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Absolut phantastisch! War gestern mit Partner und 4 Freunden da. Es gab NICHTS, was nicht wundervoll war. Klar, is nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Cent wert plus ordentlich Trinkgeld für den exzellenten Service! JEDERZEIT SEHR GERNE WIEDER!!!

Austern wie frisch in Frankreich. Waren gerade in Sete, können wir also beurteilen. Aber auch vom Gruss aus der Küche, übern Zwischengang hin zum Hauptgericht bis zum Nachtisch nur zu empfehlen. Service, Preis/Leistung, Arbeit der Küche ein Besuch jederzeit gerne wieder, wenn man es sich leisten kann.

Die Austern waren bester Klasse und der blonde Kellner war außerordentlich nett, für Austern Liebhaber und Freunde des Guten Service sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir haben schon mehrfach im Diekmann's gegessen, so auch vergangenen Mittwoch. Es war wie immer hervorragend. Danke für diesen gelungenen Abend!

Only stopped for a few beers. The menu is quite limited for freaks like me. Normal humans will find it delicious. Staff and the restaurant itself are fabulous. Definitely worth a visit

Das schrieb ich noch nie: Wenn es 7 Sterne gäbe, das "Diekmann" hätte sie verdient, weil von Anfang bis Ende Spitze war. Ein sehr aufmerksamer, kundiger und unaufdringlicher Service, Aperitiv, Weine, Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen fleischlos oder mit traumhaft auf den Punkt zubereitetem Fleisch. Unglaublich überraschende und delikate Kombinationen von Lebensmitteln. Ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente und daran gemessen eine sehr angemessene Rechnung.

Wunderschön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Der Service war dezent, freundlich und aufmerksam. Die besten Austern, die ich seit langem gegessen habe - absolut herausragende Qualität. Wein und Champagner sehr gut. Wir kommen beim nächsten Berlin-Besuch gerne wieder.

Im Ambiente einer alten Apotheke gibt es sehr leckere Austern. Aber auch das andere Essen ist exzellent und man spürt die Frische der Zutaten. Außerdem ein sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Einen Besuch kann man nur jedem empfehlen.

Wenn es ginge würde ich gerne mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben. Absolut empfehlenswert, jede Speise des Mehrgang Menüs war eine Köstlichkeit. Service absolut freundlich und zuvorkommend. Schade, dass wir zu weit entfernt sind, ansonsten würden wir mit ganz bestimmter Sicherheit sehr sehr oft wieder zu Euch kommen. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team für den schönen Abend bei Euch!

Liked the dishes and the professional service very much. My Negroni was watered down, IMHO; the wine list has many good options at okay prices though. Main courses were a bit on the salty side, but certainly still enjoyable. Diekmann is pricier in general, but they deliver.

A beautiful experiment in Franco-German food with lovely, professional service that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary under the same owner. Much creativity in the kitchen, whose staff and ingredients are mostly German, guided by French influences. The restaurant was recently remodeled making it even cozier than before. Unlike other good restaurants in the area they open for lunch with a menu that changes weekly. A solid place for a date or with friends. Note - portions are rather small and not the best value for money.

Teller werden sehr schön präsentiert. Leider lässt die Qualität der Zutaten zu wünschen übrig. Auch steht auf der Karte kein Wort zur Herkunft der Ware. Insgesamt versalzen. Fleisch eher Supermarktniveau. Weine mit 300% Aufschlag. Preis Leistung passt insgesamt nicht. Service super freundlich und darum die 3 Sterne. Das Essen verdient max. 2 Sterne.

Very nice location, spacious and bright, comfortable. Service is professional, even if a bit... "Too much" present sometimes. Nothing bad of course. Great food, we tried meat and fish, good quality indeed. Only feedback, but this is typical of northern europe, is the "obsession" with sauces and adding ingredients instead of a minimalistic cuisine. The result is still great, but in my opinion a bit overcomplicated. Price totally correct for the quality.
