We had an excellent dinner at Chapeau. Really enjoyed the Mediterranian flavors of our appetizers and main course.The service was prompt and attentive. We loved the friendly atmosphere. We dined outside and appreciated the offer of blankets when it got a bit cool. Would definitely come back!

Disastrous service and very rude employees. We were withdrawn! They charge more than you eat and argue with you and insist you pay more. Include things that you didn't order or weren't asked if you wanted. Rude and disrespectful behavior!

This restaurant was an absolute failure! We had our engagement party there and the experience was disappointing. The boss is rude and disrespectful and seems to think her restaurant is a 5 star restaurant. Our agreement was not kept and everything was different than discussed. The food was a real disappointment! No wonder the restaurant is generally empty. I absolutely do not recommend it and advise everyone to choose another place for special occasions!

I attended my cousin's civil wedding at this location and unfortunately the experience was less than satisfactory. The service was hardly noticeable: the food was simply placed on the table and we didn't see the staff again after that. It was obvious that they were cutting back on staff because no one took any further care of us or asked if we needed anything else. The billing was particularly disappointing. Although my cousin had ordered a clear number of dishes, suddenly more dishes were charged. When we raised this in a friendly manner and sought a solution, we were not given a constructive answer. Instead, the reaction was dismissive and even personal, even though we wanted to clarify the situation objectively and in a solution-oriented manner. It was a very disappointing experience for such an important occasion and unfortunately I cannot recommend this location.

Very unprofessional, unfriendly people. I don't recommend it to anyone Addendum: It's probably because I tried to communicate with you weeks before and you didn't respond to any messages. A little tip: if you take a look at your reviews, everyone reports about the unfriendly nature of the owner. Speak about yourself!

This restaurant was an absolute disaster. The food was simply inedible - cold, poorly seasoned and looked like it had been sitting around all day. But what was really shocking was the unfriendly and condescending manner of the boss. I've never experienced anything like this! There's really nothing wrong here, neither the quality of the food nor the service. A visit is absolutely not recommended.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The owner is incredibly arrogant and rude towards paying customers. We had an event there and rented the premises for it... Children were charged 45 euros instead of 35 because, according to the statement, the children were supposed to have eaten with the adults. The boss became loud towards us and spoke down to us because we simply asked what the price, which was unclear to us, was made up of. The only good thing was the nice Albanian waiter but even he couldn't change the completely bad experience! As a shop owner, sitting outside during an event and drinking raki is simply unprofessional, even in advance, she was hardly available for questions or anything else

Disastrous experience – never again! We had our civil wedding at the Chapeau and it was an absolute nightmare. Nothing, really NOTHING, was as discussed! The food was subpar - overcooked, tasteless and sometimes cold. For €45 per person there were three meat skewers, soaked vegetables and three potatoes. No starter! No dessert! Outrageous! But the real horror only came afterwards: When we tried to calmly clarify the problem with the owner, we were treated so badly! Zero insight, zero willingness to cooperate, instead pure arrogance and an incredibly disrespectful attitude. It even became personal and made us feel that our opinion doesn't matter at all. Anyone who treats guests like this has no place in the catering industry! It wasn't just the worst celebration we've ever had - it was an insult. Absolutely NOT recommended, saves you money, time and nerves. Here the customer is not king, but at most the doormat. I hope that's drastic enough!

A pleasant shop in a pleasant corner. The service was very nice to us and the food and drinks were also good, although a bit expensive. The reason I'm writing this review, however, is because of a lack of service. A patrol car pulled up on the side of the road next to the bar. When a police officer ran past the Chapeau on foot, the waitress shouted to him that he didn't have to park there and that he should leave immediately. We didn't think it was that nice.

Super cool Café Deluxe with probably the best cakes in the city. Very nice staff, really good cuisine. Often live music.

Beautiful terrace with or without white tablecloths. I only drank coffee but the menu looks attractive

It’s a great place with amazing people. You can chill, if lucky park you car in front and enjoy the view. Staffs are very amazing and friendly people.

We were there shortly before midnight and received a very friendly welcome. Getting a coffee was no problem and a delicious berry tart. Everything beautifully prepared. The owner's genuine kindness was heartwarming despite the late hour. Will definitely come back.

On my friend's recommendation, we went to this restaurant to celebrate an occasion. I have to emphasize here that there were 6-7 types of mezze (starters) on the tables, of which I could only eat one type because I have allergies. The starters weren't particularly appetizing. Other appetizer supplies were on a trolley that everyone walks past. No wonder there is hair in your food. On the weekends with music evenings you only have the choice between 35€ mezze, which was supposed to be constantly refilled, but wasn't - due to a lack of waiters, unorganized, unmotivated, or wanted. However the operators execute some kind of scam. Or you can opt for the 2nd menu: again the same types of mezze, grilled meat, and a small bottle of raki for €69. Just because Kudamm is nearby and music? Honestly, that can't be the case. Due to the unfriendly staff and lack of service, we left in the first hour. A waiter cannot and must not poison the guest. No matter how stressed he was at the moment. Later in the evening we met 4 ladies at the next table who were celebrating their birthdays in the next Turkish music restaurant. They regretted not having left sooner. The boss also wanted to lecture us, ridiculous. Conclusion: Dear operators, you can celebrate well with family and friends. But you can move forward with new customers.

I waited 1 week before writing a review to get over my "anger". This restaurant is a disappointment. Nothing against the singers Umut Hakan & Volkan. Thanks to both of them, they haven't closed yet. The service is a disaster. The waiters are extremely unfriendly. I went there for the second time last week. There were four of us. Within 45 minutes they were unable to bring a bottle of water to the table. After repeatedly asking me to please refill the mezzes, I was cheekily barked at by the waiter. I can understand the lack of good staff, but in a location like this it just has to work. The mezzes were all already ready on the tables. They tasted accordingly. Then p.P. Charged 35€ for mezze, in which I had hair on my fork several times. The hair thing was the week before last, so I didn't want to ruin my friend's birthday. An absolute no go. Then you see the cook - with long, loose hair, you miss EVERYTHING. Just charge the entrance fee instead of harassing the guests with unpleasant mezze. (Addendum: with seasoned/bad mezze, and hair in the food it's definitely bullying) The owners reacted quite rudely to us when the waiter was so impudent. Zero apologies. We got up and left. Best decision! NEVER AGAIN. (Here is an addendum after which the owner replied: I mentioned that we got up and left. When I asked to pay the little mezze, the owner waived it. I was right. I never claimed to have paid the full amount. However The week before there were 8 of us and we paid :) ) Pretty much three of us, dear owner. keep it up ;) It may be that the desserts are a success and have received many stars here. However, they have to change some things on the weekends with live music. P.S.: The owner films the dancing guests without being asked and posts them continuously. I find that very inappropriate. Several people have already written to me because they kept discovering me on the videos. So people: The food should be enjoyed with caution. And since then, be good to the waiters. You are not allowed to approach them a third time about a request/order that was not delivered. Then the plates hit the table. Incredible. (Addendum: I'm glad you answered. So I've caught your attention. After all, I'm not the only one who thinks like that. There are plenty of reviews about the food and the waiters).

We visited this restaurant on Friday evening, March 1, 2024, for our friend's birthday. It was with great regret that we had to leave there, it was a complete disappointment. Your starters are on the table in front of you, you don't have a chance to choose. You have to pay €35 per person and the starters are served all night long. They put people in a difficult situation with a system that is meaningless, cannot be properly explained and is not clear and concise. We had no expectations other than our goal to simply have a nice and enjoyable time. However, we had to leave the place due to the treatment and disrespect we received there. Of course we were so disappointed that we wanted to go to another place and continue. Firstly, it was a complete disappointment that the gentleman who we thought owned the business, including the staff, implied to us that we were paying less and expecting more service and that he was disrespectful in making that statement. Instead of apologizing, we were insulted by the waiter while we explained to him the additional bill we had left behind. In short, our night was terrible. Unfortunately, we were subjected to disrespectful behavior even though we didn't deserve it.

We ordered two eclairs to take away and they were both so delicious. The filling was really delicious! We'll definitely come by again and sit down then.

We've been to this place before. A lot has changed. When you arrive, the starters are already on the table. You have to buy the starters. You have to pay 35 euros per person for these starters. First a waitress comes and says that the starters are unlimited and we will bring them when they run out, then another comes and says that there are two of you and therefore you have the right to eat two plates of these starters. You have no freedom of choice. They also offer such an option: the meat menu cost about 60 euros per person. They have fixed the drinks so you can't feel comfortable in that regard. We couldn't explain to the staff that it wasn't about money, but about being free to choose. We didn't leave the table so as not to spoil our enjoyment. We accepted their obligatory menus but the raki we wanted came only after a very long time etc. There were also problems with the service. I won't visit this place again. When paying we were told that we can get cash, we can't take a card at the moment and we would have to go and withdraw cash and come back.

The only good thing about this place is the music because the singer Volkan offers excellent live music, if it weren't for him the place would go bankrupt in 3 months. The service is miserable, you wait at least an hour until someone comes and then you have to remind the waiters that glasses are missing from the bottles, etc. The owner only looks at whether a guest orders enough so that the cash register is correct. If not, he makes it clear that you are not welcome there. I have never experienced such unprofessional hospitality and treatment. If you want quality you shouldn't go there.

Ich kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Wir waren mit allem beim Frühstück sehr zufrieden, das wir zufällig probiert haben. Alles ist sehr frisch und lecker. Die Kellnerin ist freundlich und nett. Wir bestellten Chapaeu Mini und Menemen. Es war ein sehr zufriedenstellendes Frühstück für zwei Personen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Good spot for the digital nomads where you can get your food on the side while running your meetings. Stable internet. Had my pancake and coffee, both are up to my own taste 😍. Toilets are clean, spacy, easily accessible which is also important for me.

Was ist denn auf einmal mit dem Chapeau am Kaiserdamm passiert?? Seit ein paar Tagen zu, komplett leergeräumt, "Zu vermieten"-Schild am Fenster, an der Tür jedoch nur der Hinweis, dass "HEUTE geschlossen ist aus betrieblichen Gründen". Was ist geschehen, war doch stets gut besucht?

Sind das erste mal hier. Das Essen ist super lecker und die Mitarbeiter total höflich und gut gelaunt. Wir sind als Gruppe begeistert. Werden öfter hierhin kommen.

ich hatte im Chapeau eine leckere Avocado-Stulle und einen frisch gepressten Orangensaft, beides war sehr lecker. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich würde wiederkommen.

Während ich im Auto saß, ging meine Frau zu Chapeau und holte uns einen Croissant und einen Tarte au citron. Noch nie habe ich so etwas leckeres gegessen und probiert, abgesehen davon dass es nicht so günstig war:insgesant für alles ca. 9€. Aber das ist es wert. Das ist tatsächlich eine echte französische Boulangerie. Sehr zu empfehlen!
