Very nice restaurant with delicious food and nice staff

Very very authentic and delicious Greek cuisine. Food and service 10/10!

There were five of us here because reservations were no longer possible elsewhere. We had a variety of dishes and were all thrilled. Lamb, gyros, souvlaki, everything was great. Plus a great tzatziki and a real coleslaw as a starter. The best Greek in the area. We'll be back.

This is a great place and great staff! We came late in the evening and they already closed the restaurant, but they saw us waiting hungry outside and opened again just for us! The service and food was great, can only recommend this place!

I can only recommend this tavern. The food is a 9 out of 10. We were with slightly larger groups and still got the food in less than 25 minutes. I was allowed to try something from others and everyone enjoyed it. Small shop, mega big experience.

We had dinner here this evening and absolutely loved it! I tried the lamb fillet with red wine sauce - perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. My partner had the seafood platter, which was not only fresh but also very lovingly prepared. The homemade wine was the perfect complement to our meal. The ambience and service were also top notch. We'll definitely be back!

Small inconspicuous restaurant, but great taste. The Greek restaurant "The Tavern" looks very inconspicuous from the outside, but in the nice room the service is to the point. The starter was convincing and perfectly set the mood for the main course. The gyros were crispy and the bifteki was juicy. The only downer: there could have been more tzatziki. But this is complaining at the highest level.

I had arranged to go to a Greek restaurant with a friend and then decided on “the tavern”. The map read well. the reviews were great. We were warmly welcomed and the service was great. Food was super tasty. We each had a starter (liver) and a grilled plate as the main course... Overall, it was a nice evening... With a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. An all around great restaurant. Excellent food at a fair price, warm service and a cozy atmosphere. We were here for the first but certainly not the last time. The only suggestion for improvement would be a scoop of chocolate ice cream (dark chocolate) with the orange cake 😍

The eggplant cream as a mezze was great. The Bifteki (can be ordered without Metaxa) was great. The service was very attentive and pleasantly friendly, no lifeless standard smile, but honest and down-to-earth. It couldn't be better. Wish you continued success. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ

And in October 2024 we spent another wonderful evening with delicious food. The dessert (chocolate mousse) was absolutely delicious - thank you, says Frank. We've been excited about this Greek restaurant for years! Went to Costa, the previous innkeeper, years ago, but the quality remains excellent and we are always thrilled - starting with the friendly welcome, nice service and always a short small talk as we walk past. Unfortunately, we are only in Hamburg every few months, but a visit to the tavern is always planned. We survived the Corona period well, then we picked up our favorite foods. We strongly recommend making a reservation, otherwise you might have to leave disappointed. Thanks for the lovely hours! Been here again in July 2024 - great as always!

So the food, service and hospitality are phenomenal at this restaurant. I look back fondly on the starter. Sheep's cheese in puff pastry on salad, never tasted such delicious sheep's cheese The main course was also of the highest quality and yet the portions were really large. The prices are more than reasonable considering the quality and quantity If we are in Hamburg again, we will definitely visit this restaurant again

Unsete Reerviering wurde sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Neben der normalen Karte gab es auf einer Tafel noch eine Tageskarte. Der Überbackene Feta mit tomaten und Kräutern war köstlich. Die Leber, Bifteki, Spieße und tzatziki schmeckten ebenfalls prima. Der Weißwein war leicht und trocken, wie gewünscht. Zum Abschluss gab es einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Wir kommen wieder
