The food is great. Portions are generous, the taste is fantastic. Some visits have herbs on the meat, sometimes not. It's always slightly different, but that's nothing negative. Prices are a bit high for Eilbek, and there are no extra small portions on the menu for children or seniors, e.g., a small souvlaki plate for 9.90, a small giros portion with fries for 9.90, etc. Just for those with a small appetite. Unfortunately, there was a large group of teenagers at the table by the entrance who were constantly shouting and laughing, completely uncontrollably. But there's nothing the tavern can do about it, except think Ashto Dialo... We'll be going back.

Everything started well. The staff were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The bread we had to start with was delicious, and we were also served ouzo as a welcome drink. The food took a long time, but we were informed of this when we ordered, which we found very kind. We ordered the classic gyro mix (with fries and souvlaki) and the grilled calamari. Each dish was served with a salad. The salad was delicious. The main course, however, did not meet our expectations at all. The calamari was very dry and we didn't like it at all. The meat was quite okay. Nevertheless, we were allowed to return the calamari. It was removed from the bill, so thank you again for that. We didn't touch the plate after one bite. Instead, we ordered the eggplant casserole with minced meat and feta. It arrived quickly and wasn't as tasty as we're used to at Greek restaurants. Tastes differ, as is well known, and this is also very clear from the other reviews. We visited the tavern for the first time, largely because of the extremely positive reviews, and were surprised by our experience. Nevertheless, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a pleasant evening.

A typical Greek restaurant with friendly staff. Despite being very busy at 7 p.m., there weren't long waits. Only later did some guests have to wait too long. The food was good, but overly salty.

Very good and tasty food, with friendly service. The beer garden is also a nice place to sit, although it's naturally a bit noisy on the main street. But that didn't bother us. We had meat and fish dishes, all excellent.

We arrived without a reservation and got a table for two. The food was incredibly delicious, and the wine was very refreshing with the perfectly grilled fish. A very authentic Greek restaurant. Highly recommended.

With 4.9 stars and the price, we expected more. Unfortunately, it was only average in terms of taste, service, and ambiance. The appetizer platter for almost €20 was somewhat unimaginative, with relatively little choice. The food could have been seasoned more "Greekly." In other words, more garlic, more spices. Some of the group was also cleared away while others were still eating, which made us feel rushed. The outdoor area was also not very lovingly designed. All in all, solid food, but never a 4.9 considering the price.

Given the very good reviews, I was disappointed. The meat quality was okay, but nothing more. The entire meal lacked flavor and wasn't particularly seasoned. It also lacked that typical garlic flavor. The salad was a rather bland coleslaw. The fries had been fried once, then cooled, and fried again. As a result, they weren't really good anymore, but rather hard and unpleasant. Overall, I can't understand why this place is so hyped. I know some much better Greek restaurants in Germany. They're actually run by Greeks. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the place itself or the decor. The service was perfectly fine and businesslike, but I didn't sense a personal touch.

Five stars for taste and hospitality! The moussaka was wonderfully creamy and wonderfully seasoned, a true comfort food classic. The chicken breast fillet was beautifully juicy and tender.
