15.50 euros for a so-called gyro pita. Listed here on the menu: gyro, coleslaw, tzatziki. Every other Greek restaurant in Germany charges between 5.50 and 7.50 euros, but here it's 15.50 euros!!! (In comparison, it's like a doner kebab, but without the salad, and also only costs between 5 and 10 euros). I find that a bit steep, even though the two brothers have been running it reliably and deliciously for 40 years. The "ambience" is an awning or, inside, a surrounding wooden border, very "original." Service is "constantly on duty," so only the bare minimum is said and done. For the snacks at restaurant prices—no thanks, even though I remember them as delicious, and the other reviews here seem to still be saying so today.

We've often had gyro specials, but today it was nothing. The gyro was so over-seasoned it burned our mouths and tongues, the meat quality left a lot to be desired, and the fries were unfortunately overseasoned. Everything has gone up in price again. WHAT A SHAME!!!

In detail: We had actually planned to visit a nearby Greek restaurant, but it was closed for the holidays. Our hosts recommended this Greek snack bar as a possible alternative. The line outside confirmed the previous statement: it can take a while, but it's very popular. But the wait was worth it, because after about 20 minutes, we had our fill of gyros with fries and sauerkraut. Even after being transported home, the fries were still crispy. The meat was well-browned but still nice and juicy. We then enjoyed the meal on our hosts' terrace in the sun. A good decision, as we would have only been able to sit in a tent in front of the snack bar on site.

Popular with the fire department, police, and garbage collectors, this place is always busy. Expect a bit of a wait, but everything is freshly prepared. The food is high quality, and hygiene is impeccable. They clean regularly, and the oil seems to be changed almost daily. Unlike some other snack bars, this one doesn't smell of stale oil, and the fries always taste great. Portions are always generous, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. You can eat standing up inside, and there's a covered, heated "summer garden" outside where you can sit. You still have to order inside, but the food will be brought out. All in all, the best snack bar for miles around! At peak times (6-8 pm), you should expect to wait 30-45 minutes for your food.

The name says it all... the gyros are top-notch. The fries are amazing and the portions are huge. The bifteki wasn't quite my taste, but that's just how it is. It's definitely worth going there for gyros. The atmosphere is a chip shop style with a gazebo outside. The prices are totally fair for the portions.

Just being close and smelling the gyros makes my mouth water: spicy meat, fresh tzatziki and salty cabbage. The employees are really friendly and always smiling. The gyros is absolutely delicious - but the employees get pretty annoyed if you don't tip a takeaway order. So, if I, as a kindergarten teacher, am not even allowed to accept a small gift from parents as a thank you when leaving, why do these gentlemen always get 3-5 euros in tax-free tips per order?? The tax office should really take a closer look at this. But with this cheerful Greek dad, they don't take it so seriously. He's polite and courteous, and he's allowed to collect 1,000 euros in tips a day. That's unfair! No wonder Greece went bankrupt, given this shady business practices. If you live nearby or are driving past and are very hungry, this is the right place for you. The portion of gyros (€15.50) is “HUGE” but unfortunately it lacked a bit of seasoning.. still tasty. The owner is accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit old-fashioned.
