Die Sonne in Merseburg

Ich hatte 4 x angerufen um Reservierung gebeten für den 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag. Beim 4. Mal wurde ich endlich registriert. Das geht schon mal gar nicht. Das Essen kam und war kalt, wir gaben es zurück. Das 2. Essen kam und die Ente war zäh. Kaum Soße und die Klöße waren aus der Tüte, das Rotkraut aus dem Glas und das für 25,- €. Nein danke, dass brauche wir nicht noch mal. Da koche ich viel lieber selber. Man gab uns zwar 25 % Nachlass aber das Weihnachtsessen war dahin.

Long waiting time to order drinks. Pizzas were tasteless with too much cheese. Pizza crust was extremely high.

Food good but too cold. Had to give it back to warm up

Simply the best restaurant in Merseburg and the surrounding area. Mega delicious menu, everything super fresh and the service and staff are all super friendly and nice. We always like to come back!

Area:. A little hidden between two houses, but still well signposted. Parking options:. Whether near the tanning salon/travel agency or further back in the residential area. You will definitely find a place. And the nice thing is that no parking tickets are required on Saturdays. Ambiance:. Very warm and cozy furnishings. Food & Drinks:. Large selection There are children's portions as well as a senior plate, so small and wise are catered for, all other dishes are large in proportions, everyone will be satisfied here. Here no chef is in love (don't oversalt it) well seasoned and nicely prepared. “If you make a reservation”, I personally thought it was a shame that we got a seat in the middle of the aisle :( which was an arm’s length from the bar. And you sat with your back against the dish trolley. Unfortunately we also had a heater in the way was a bit disturbing. All the other tables we could see were generously prepared and gave the restaurant the perfect atmosphere. Service:. No long waiting times, everything was perfectly arranged. Nobody has to go hungry with a growling stomach here

One word: epic! Very comfortably furnished, a bit expensive but worth every single cent. The food came very quickly and was super tasty. Despite the starter, main course and dessert, no feeling of fullness. 11/10. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

Were invited to dinner. Ordering was possible quickly, but then there were problems, but these were not communicated. It was said that no pizza could be ordered. The fries for the child were brought relatively quickly, but unfortunately there was nothing after that, we waited 45 minutes. Afterwards the food came, although all the steaks were fried to death and my food was only a little warm. Unfortunately there were no steak knives, cutting was a bit difficult and the staff wasn't there to ask for another knife.

The food is of an outstanding quality. Can only recommend. Everything is top notch. The place was quite filled with guest, despite that service was fast. No long waits on orders. Additionally it's not so loud as in other places. Gentle and nice music.

Really great restaurant in Merseburg. You feel very comfortable and the staff is friendly. Had the appetizer platter. Unfortunately, there was no selection of the various great starters on the menu, but completely different components. I was a bit disappointed then. But it was still super tasty and the menu simply makes you curious about so much more.

We were really speechless: the antipasti plate consisted of canned ingredients, cheap Zervelat sausage and glued imitation cooked ham, it was “fresh” from the refrigerator, i.e. pre-filled and stored in a cool place, as you would find in highway restaurants. You can do it for €13.90, but we won't order it again. The pizza with shrimp, see photo, tasteless and limp. €16.90 is not even remotely justified. So in short, for us, no location to return to...👋👋👋

Tuesday evening, in Mersebourg, the restaurant is full. International clientele. Warm welcome, very friendly service and quality cuisine. Very well decorated and clean restaurant. I will come back for sure.

The most expensive shed on site. When it comes to the price and performance ratio, there is a huge difference. I just wanted to drink a few beers, someone kept coming by. Who wanted to take the food order, I was just thirsty. When the waitress finally figured it out, they were no longer interested in me as a guest. And then just disappeared. I paid at the counter because no one was there. And then I went to the kebab shop around the corner at the church. And returned there for much less money. It's actually a shame... But main courses for 17-29 euros, dude, that's definitely too rich for me...

Very nice atmosphere - from the reception to the large guest room to the sanitary facilities. The staff is super nice and the menu is very extensive, so we will definitely come again.

This time there was fish fillet with grilled vegetables... Unfortunately, while eating, I noticed a foreign body in my mouth, which upon closer inspection turned out to be not a Y-bone but a bent metal chip. The waiter who was called looked surprised and later gave us a small tiramisu as a half-hearted apology. “Of course” in the end the full price was charged for the metal-containing dish. Oh well...

We come here regularly with business customers and have not been disappointed so far. The food is super delicious, whether pizza or meat dishes. Unfortunately, on our last visit we had to wait a while for our drinks. But that doesn't detract from the matter. The restaurant is definitely recommended.

Staff nice, food very good. All in all really nice. Half a point is deducted because I had the same quality for less money. I find it comparatively expensive. And another half point is deducted for the fact that we were expelled from the restaurant, I think around eleven, because they wanted to close. I don't even know what time it is and that would be an exclusion criterion for the next evening.

Chic restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, tables outside are available. The starter and main course were consistently delicious, but the tiramisu for dessert wasn't my cup of tea, as was the classical music in the background, which seemed to repeat itself constantly. You no longer notice as soon as the conversations at the table deepen. At the next table there were complaints about the hygiene in the toilet, which we cannot confirm due to non-use.

Unfortunately it's the only restaurant nearby. And thought we would give it a try. You have to register first to be placed. Then you do this and the waiter outside yells at you: Have you signed up? And then there was 15 minutes of rest. No service staff ever asked if you wanted something to drink. Then finally the service person came and asked if we had already voted. Then came the careless drinking and pizzas 🍕 unfortunately hardly any toppings and no spices. But the worst thing is that you don't want bon appetit or anything like that. Okay, you think it couldn't be worse. But you ask for an invoice and what can I say? Did you enjoy your meal? Was it good? Do you want anything else? Okay, the last question came. I also mentioned this while making the cellar and unfortunately the only answer I got was: didn't I say anything? What was little documented? What was seasoned? Well, no tip and goodbye and next time I'll order a pizza when I visit

We weren't happy! We had We waited 1.1/2 hours for our food and there was no pizza or plaice at all, even though it was still on the menu.

Very nice sitting together, top service, the only disadvantage is parking, I didn't know where to park. There is a large parking space 100m away but it costs money, you can easily order a table online or by phone. I've been there twice and I will 100% go out to eat more often. There is an extensive selection of dishes. It is freshly prepared and the price is right. In my opinion. It's really a recommendation

Hello dear sun team, you have a great menu and the food is very good. But..... being the first guests and having to wait 1.5 hours for the main course while other guests pay again and say goodbye is incomprehensible. You definitely have to work on it. Luckily the children were patient.

Rating of the restaurant “Die Sonne”: I recently had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant "Die Sonne" and unfortunately my experience was mixed. The meal was a mix of highs and lows. Some dishes were really tasty and well prepared, while others were downright a disaster. The quality and consistency of the food left much to be desired, resulting in a disappointing dining experience. However, the service in this restaurant was clearly the biggest drawback. He was simply very, very bad. The staff was disorganized and seemed uninterested in guests' needs. Long waiting times, forgotten orders and a lack of politeness were the order of the day, which significantly marred the overall experience. Overall, I cannot recommend the restaurant "Die Sonne" due to the mixed quality of the food and the extremely poor service. There are definitely better options in the area that offer a more enjoyable dining experience.

Delicious food and nice ambience.

Service seemed a bit overwhelmed that day, but we had been out in the sun several times and had nothing else to complain about. We like the ambience, the sodas and especially the food. Most of the dishes are very tasty. The pizza could have a better dough, I've had better ones in other shops, but it's still tasty. Overall, I can recommend the restaurant and would give it 3.8 stars.

Wir waren hier zu einer Familienfeier mit ca. 20 Personen und haben zu Abend gegessen. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal, das Essen kam auf den Punkt, so dass wir alle gemeinsam essen konnten. Preis-Leistung top. Sauber, auch die Toiletten. Mit Terrasse. Hier würde ich jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Not much to say. Great restaurant, only little things are missing for me to give it 5 stars. But I can recommend it. It was a nice end to the day and a good meal.

The music is not suitable for every guest. The restaurant was busy and therefore the background noise was very loud - not for people with tinnitus. Everything took a while. I had No. 5, various antipasti and discovered that it wasn't my thing at all. I liked the house-made lemonade very much. 0.4 but €5.90. Food and drinks cost €20.

We were on our way home from Berlin when we got hungry and made a detour here. Absolutely delicious food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. You can sit outside. It is highly recommended. 5 stars from us.

Good restaurant in the medium price segment.

From the start we were surprised that we were seated next to a very loud group that was celebrating something, even though 90% of the tables were free. Luckily, we were taken outside after our request. However, that was the best solution. A large number of red spiders or beetles crawled on the table, coming out of the wooden boxes in which decorative plants grew. After shooing away all the insects, we dared to stay. We were served quickly and the order was brought within half an hour. However, disappointment followed - we were served a seafood pasta that was supposed to contain seafood. It was funny to see a huge portion of pasta (at least we ate our fill of the pasta) and a few tiny shrimp just indicating their presence. They charge €16.9 for this! Makes 8-10 mini shrimp at best (the last photo shows the most generous portion of the "seafood" pasta). I would like to note that the food is very salty. The drinks were obviously not fully poured. I ordered 2 cocktails, one of which (rock star martini) strangely tasted like mold. The service was friendly, but the restaurant should definitely do something with its conscience and offer food of appropriate quality and it would be appreciated if more attention was paid to the cleanliness of the cutlery!

The spaghetti wasn't that good either and the carbonara consisted almost entirely of oil. The homemade tiramisu is just a fragment of what it was before. Therefore, unfortunately only 3 stars.

Edit [14.5.24]. We made a reservation online this evening. We were seated on the back covered patio where it doesn't blow that much. The restaurant was again completely occupied. I admire the service and the chefs, how they manage it. I deliberately did not order the salad with walnuts, but the Sonne salad, where almonds were mentioned. Unfortunately, after the first bite I encountered walnuts and had to return the food. Anyway, this salad is delicious, with a fair chunk of well prepared meat and lots of bigger prawns. The Riesling complemented it beautifully. My colleague had a slightly drier chicken steak with roasted vegetables. The Greek salad was weaker and so was the risotto with prawns, where one was large unpeeled and a bit bitter thanks to the guts, moreover the rosotto was not creamy at all, but rather dry, but nevertheless pleasant in taste. I believe that it is difficult to satisfy everyone in such a rush, but it is still a common standard. [11-2023] Very pleasant restaurant, where I got to for the second time. A reservation is definitely an advantage. It took a while before we were seated, the bar table is quite busy, but it didn't spoil the dinner experience. However, I recommend tables in other parts of the restaurant. The interior is tasteful and modern, the lighting and music pleasant. The toilets are modern and clean. I tasted a very good, fresh Weißburgunder from Weingut Peter Stübinger. Considering the advanced class, I only ordered the Pasta al Tartufo and I have to say they were very good, but not memorable. It was obvious that the staff had a problem serving all the guests quickly. I waited over ten minutes just to pay. So there was no time for any warm conversation. There wasn't even a question: "How did you like it?" But I would love to come back and try other dishes from the menu.

We were looking for a restaurant for a quick lunch while strolling through town and were really impressed. A small beer garden at the back of the restaurant cannot be seen from the market. We were impressed by the great service and a lovely atmosphere. The prices on the menu are not unreasonable, as is the case everywhere these days. But the small selection for a lunch menu was great. For €13 there was a generous portion, very tasty too. Is definitely recommended.

It's always been a good atmosphere with good food. The only thing that bothered me was the constantly slow music, although it can certainly relax you. I got tired of it. I can't recommend the tiramisu either, as it was a bit lumpy and reminded more of cream cheese than mascarpone. For the price I was a little disappointed. I also found it a shame that there was no pistachio tiramisu for the second time. But the ravioli in Gorgonzola sauce and the garlic bread are incomparably good. The sweet potato fries were also perfect.

We were there on Saturday evening and looked for a comfortable place on the very attractively designed outdoor area. The very friendly service was there quickly and took the order. Everything was at the table quickly. Food and drink selection extensive and very appealing. The food was excellent and worth every penny. We think the prices are reasonable. All in all, full marks are given here. We recommend...

The food was great. Especially the salads were so unique and refreshing. The steak was grilled perfect and the asparagus with hollandaise were delicious . And alsi my cocktail was so tasty. Everything were clean and the service was quick. I suggest to everyone to visit Die Sönne because the place is ao special.

Large group, but food arrived quickly, reliably and warm.. Supreme discipline! The beef fillet we ordered from Argentina was really top. The cooking level was a bit off, but Herb mix and vegetables were crunchy, fresh and delicious. A visit here is highly recommended, especially the baked feta cheese with honey...very, very tasty. Keep it up

Simply saying that I'm going out for an Italian meal doesn't do justice to this evening, which we absolutely enjoyed. It was a highlight for the four of us. We had booked a table. The reception was professional but also extremely warm. A courteous, extremely friendly staff who responded to all of our wishes accompanied us through the evening with wit and charm and fulfilled all of our wishes. The food we ordered is simply recommended.
