Die Hütte in Wiesbaden

As a group of about 15 people, we ate here four evenings in a row. This was mandated by our course organizer. The food itself was absolutely fantastic, but the service was sometimes brusque and overwhelmed. We also had to wait over an hour for our food each time after ordering. What was particularly annoying, however, was that the desserts were incorrectly charged. I alone was ultimately charged 25% more than the price stated on the menu.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good evening. The drinks and appetizer arrived quickly, but then we had to wait 50 minutes before the server came to tell us the oven had broken down (which can happen, but they should have informed us immediately, not after 40 minutes; we were aware of the power outage, which occurred before the appetizer arrived). We had to reorder one dish. The server was attentive, and the main courses arrived quickly, but the fries were cold. The schnitzel was only okay, but the salad was tasty.

We received a very friendly welcome and excellent service, the food was delicious, the price-performance ratio was very good, I would gladly come back here again.

We ate here and really enjoyed it. It wasn't busy and we got a table right away. The service was friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely eat here again.

Nice spot for lunch or dinner. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Good spot for larger groups. Food was nicely cooked and came out in good timing. Staff was nice. Interior area would be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. There are some vegetarian options available. Nothing specifically mentioning gluten free or lactose free options.

Pork Schnitzel was lightly breaded & less crispy than average. Otherwise it was decent. Mushroom sauce was good. Gorgonzola sauce was pretty good though not that strong. Fries were decent. Fried potatoes were so so - not crispy, in large pieces, with no bacon & a bit onion. The side salads the schnitzels came with were decent. They do not serve tap water.

On a business trip, we stopped for lunch at this place near the hotel. We ordered steaks with vegetables and potatoes. What can I say? It was all delicious, really delicious. Well done!!

Well, the restaurant is quite well located, with a beer garden, which it was too cold for. And the interior of the hut is truly rustic and country-style. However, the menu is quite concise and limited. Burgers, schnitzel, and appetizers and desserts. A small wine selection from the usual regions would have been helpful, with some regional offerings from the Rheingau and Rheinhessen regions. We therefore had beer. The neck meat was a bit dry, the vegetables were okay, and the salad was okay. The service was attentive and friendly.

We highly recommend the schnitzel here. We felt very well looked after, and the staff were very accommodating.

We spontaneously stopped by "Die Hütte" on our weekend trip. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely stop here again.

A beautiful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The excellent service and the friendly welcome are exceptional. If I could give it 10 stars, I'd give it 10. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

A fantastic selection of some unusual combinations, everything was delicious, and the service team was very prompt and friendly. In summer, you can sit on the terrace or in the beer garden. We'd love to come back.

There are few places in Wiesbaden where the food tastes as good as in this hut. The pizza, pasta, and schnitzel are top-notch, and the starters are a truly wonderful way to start the day. Friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere—you feel right at home.

Very good overall experience at Die Huette. The food was presented very well and was very tasty. Service was also pretty good. Recommend speaking German, although not necessary, since there are menu's in English. There was plenty of room and table space for our group of six. Also recommend walking or public transportation as parking spots seemed limited.

I organised a 3 course dinner with work. It was for 22 people and i cant tell different that it all went quite smooth. The food is good and the service was also good. I recommend eating here, i did message them before and we prepared it all together.

Yeah. So, the food wasn't "good." It wasn't "bad" either, but it was pretty average for a cafeteria. The atmosphere was nice, but you're sitting right next to a noisy street. Very nice people. But the food was top-notch.

Based on the positive reviews, we chose the hut for a visit with a very large group, but were unfortunately disappointed. Despite having made a reservation weeks in advance, nothing was prepared upon our arrival (no place setting, no water bottles in advance). Some members of our group didn't receive their first ordered drinks until 1.5 hours later (except for the bottles of water that were handed out), and the main course arrived after 2.5-3 hours. Unfortunately, the service seemed very overwhelmed. It's a shame, as we didn't arrive spontaneously; the reservation was known. Based on the other good reviews, this was certainly an exception, but still the worst experience I've had so far, and why we don't have positive memories of the hut. The food (apart from dessert) was unfortunately only relatively average. However, the ambiance and location were very good.

Hats off to them. Due to the excellent, central location, it was very busy – the staff remained friendly and organized – nothing was lost (there were 35 of us). Reservations were straightforward and courteous, with a free beer... everything as agreed. The owner is friendly. The food is good, and the prices are fair. We'd happily return with a large group to this beer garden in the center of Wiesbaden.

We were there on a warm day and were able to sit inside and feel like we were outside, as the windows can be opened completely. The staff was very friendly, making a reservation was also easy, and emails were always responded to very, very quickly.

Our favorite restaurant on the corner of the street. Eating a Schnitzel with colleagues every Tuesday evening. Friendly service and value for money. The tiramisu is very tasty.

I have been living in Wiesbaden for 13 years and coincidentally I was here for the first time today and I am more than thrilled, from the nice service to the food.

Everything was just perfect, the food was delicious, I haven't been this impressed in a long time. I always enjoy coming back!

Very friendly service very reasonable prices very nice atmosphere. They have a very nice outdoor area where you can drink and enjoy your time. Very great place highly recommend. Also good with Americans. You don’t need to speak German. You can speak English and they will understand.

Unfortunately disappointing We came at short notice with 11 people at 8:30 p.m. - space was available, which initially pleased us. Unfortunately, the evening dragged on a bit: despite simple dishes like pizza, schnitzel and salad, we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Unfortunately the bread we ordered was forgotten. The pizza was more reminiscent of frozen food, the schnitzel was quite small - but quite expensive at €19.90. The fries also lacked salt. Overall, it's more of a snack bar, which is a shame - we had hoped for more.

A culinary experience with a feel-good factor! “The Hut” really impressed us! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and attentive. The food was excellent - from the crispy pizza with fresh ingredients to the juicy meat dish with delicious sauce and perfectly seasoned potatoes. The salads were also crisp and lovingly prepared. We particularly liked the loving presentation of the dishes. A place to visit if you want to enjoy good food in pleasant surroundings. We'd love to come back!

We are a well-known property management company from Wiesbaden, after we reserved the hut for the first time and arrived with our staff, we were shown directly to our table by the lovely waitress. Our food was excellent, the service was very friendly and accommodating, in no way intrusive or anything like that, the ambience radiated a feel-good atmosphere in which you simply had to feel at home, there were no criteria that were not met Many thanks again to the whole team and especially to A. and R.

Addition February 2025: today I was here for the second time. Nothing to add to my first review! Maybe just this much: I will come a third time too. Visited “Die Hütte” for the first time today. Great food! The starter, bacon-wrapped dates, was very good. The main course, grill plate for one person (fish and meat) was great. However, the tzatziki was phenomenal. I have actually never had such fantastic tzatziki (not even in Greece). Otherwise all you can say is that it was a nice atmosphere on the terrace, great service and a super nice boss. Overall recommended.. Next time I'm in Wiesbaden I'll definitely come back here. Went there for the second time today. There is nothing to add to my first reviews. Maybe just this much, I will come a third time too.

Two glasses of lukewarm and not great chardonnay. Waiting an hour for three plates of pasta, certainly copious but not exceptional. No matter how much I search, I don't see how I can confirm the rating given to this restaurant.

Despite initial irritations regarding table reservations, it worked out in the end and freed up space in the basement area. Service was very friendly and the food was good too.

Perhaps due to the pre-Christmas season: double booking for a private party. It can happen, but one might expect people to express regret about it. Instead, no one is responsible and we move on to business as usual. In my opinion unprofessional, or just indifference towards the paying customers. Neither is really good in the catering industry. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices were okay. Unfortunately the pasta was soaked in oil. It's a shame, because the sauce actually tasted good. But I can't really make a recommendation.

We were there in a large group. The food was ok, no highlight. We found the female employee (boss?) to be a bit stressful and also very unprofessional when one of the employees made a faux pas. Don't come back for a while

I was in Wiesbaden on business and decided to visit this restaurant with a friend because it was relatively close to the Holiday Inn and was therefore within walking distance for us. We were greeted warmly and seated at a table for two (there is also enough space for larger groups). We opted for the winter/Christmas menu and ordered the vegetarian breaded sheep's cheese. After some homemade mulled wine and a few bottles of beer, we also chose a whiskey (18 year old :)) that seemed good at first glance, which we took from the wine/alcohol shelf next to our seat and ordered 3cl each. However, the restaurant menu should be revised here, as only “whiskey” is listed as an item on the menu, although there are a few different ones to choose from that vary greatly in price. Here we were served and chatted nicely by the manager of the restaurant, who says she is “Egyptian” and has been working in the restaurant business for a long time. As it turned out later (not really surprising), the whiskey we chose was really something special (>100€ a bottle), so we were happy to pay double the price per glass and left a little tip at the end. Overall, we had a very good evening and were impressed by the service and food. Can fully recommend this restaurant.

A nice eatery and fairly well accessible there’s car parking on site and a good bus connection. The staff are really nice and friendly with the right amount of attention I ordered a Jägerschnitzel but I was disappointed with the sauce seven or so half cut mushrooms in a brown gravy doesn’t constitute a good Jägersauce. The side salad was okay and the tiramisu was overpowered on the cream and no liqueur sorry to say I have had better. I appreciate the efforts of the service team just the kitchen was a bit of a letdown on my visit.

Really great restaurant! The food was delicious, good beer on tap and at a reasonable price. The friendly staff are also particularly praiseworthy! Served by a pretty lady from Egypt ;). If you ever come through Wiesbaden, this pub is definitely worth a visit!
