Das 60/40 in Wiesbaden

Great place to dine with other people and groups in a pleasant atmosphere.

The place is really nice, the places outside are well placed for smaller groups. Reservation is really recommended, but in case of changed plans or some extra person in the group, the crew always willing to help. The 60/40 is not so far from the train station, within 30m from the tracks, but the trains aren't so disturbing. The food is quite good, the burgers and pizzas are above the standard! On the other side, the Quesadilla was tasty, but cold... The drinks are good, the lemonade and the schorle were not so sweet and refreshing. The beer selection is standard and enough. The crew is a big plus in this place: they're friendly, competent and fast!

More between 2-3 stars. After a long trip, I was really looking forward to this burger. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing for me. I only seem to remember the slightly dry bread (see picture). Unfortunately, the flavor was very lacking. Maybe it's different on different days. The fries were also very tasteless. For €19, that's not enough for me.

Mmm, where do I begin? The location is really cool, the girls were very nice and attentive. I was a bit light on clothes, but it was warm 🥴😎 I'm a restaurateur myself and know how awful it is to work in this weather, but you don't have to wear a bikini top and crocheted hot pants 🥴🤷‍♀️ Well, the whole thing is very alternative, colorful, and we all love each other so much, I know, but I have to say, you should be a bit more neutral, with all that "no beer for Nazis" 🤷‍♀️ Why put that on the side? You're a restaurant, not a political office 🤦‍♀️ The salad was great, but unfortunately, the pizza wasn't homemade (it was a frozen product), I would have preferred it at that "hip" place. I wished it was different For my part, I wouldn't choose that location again because it's just too politically left-wing for me, and it's just annoying 🥴🙏

Last Saturday evening, I met four friends at the 60/40 restaurant at 6:30 p.m. – the table had been reserved the day before. Our evening began with the surprising information that the kitchen was temporarily unable to accept orders due to "overload" – even though the restaurant was busy but by no means overcrowded. About 35 minutes later, I was able to order a hand cheese with music, while the other people in our group had to wait considerably longer to order their hot dishes. Unfortunately, the hand cheese was more than disappointing – I couldn't detect any similarity in taste to this well-known Hessian specialty. The hand cheese was served in a plate with green lettuce leaves, a variation that was also new to me. My first drink was served as usual, but I had to get the second one myself at the bar, as the waitress walked past several times but didn't pay any attention to our hand signals. Even when I tried to pay, I couldn't get the server's attention. However, praise goes to the bartender, who, after I went straight to him at the bar, finally handled the bill in a friendly and prompt manner. Overall, the visit was unfortunately disappointing—a shame, as the location and ambiance are actually quite nice.

I actually like the 60/40, but unfortunately, they've recently stopped offering wines by the glass, only whole bottles. It's a shame, because who wants to drink that much? After consulting with the manager/owner, it will stay that way.

We went to a concert at the old slaughterhouse. Before that, we had dinner at 60/40. The food was good, but the service was a complete disaster. One of the waitresses was incredibly rude and arrogant. Absolutely terrible. Because the food was good and the location was convenient, we're giving it three points, but it was still our first and last time there.

Rather rustic. From a formerly alternative clientele, it has now shifted somewhat to a more sophisticated clientele. The food is simple, greasy, but okay. I found the service pleasant. The table was wiped clean, everything was fine. Ultimately, you get exactly what you expect.

If you're hungry, you're in the wrong place. I arrived around 7 p.m. on a busy day, which is always a good sign. After a bit of a wait, my drink arrived relatively quickly, and a little later, after I placed my order, I was told they were out of meat. I think this is a no-go for a restaurant! They should have said that directly instead of making me order and wait, but still, how could they run out of meat?

Very nice ambiance and location. The food depends a bit on what you order, but you can't really go wrong. Highly recommended.

Cool place, nice people, but the food was unfortunately extremely salty. We had burgers and pizza. We've been here before and it wasn't like this. I hope it was just a "bad day."

The service was a complete disaster. I ordered a pilsner and a water, but I got a stale beer. The water never even arrived. We wanted to order something to eat afterward, but even though we called the lady several times, we were ignored. Then we called another lady, who said she'd be right there, but she didn't come either. The staff needs proper training. I will definitely never go there again.

Great food. Even if you have to wait a bit, as it's very busy and many people are having lunch together. The wait can be easily passed with a delicious drink and a chat, and it's worth it. You look forward to your delicious meal.

Hinter dem Hauptbahnhof in Wiesbaden befindet sich das Schlachthaus, heutzutage ein beliebtes Kulturzentrum. Daneben befindet sich das 60/40, ein unkompliziertes Restaurant mit nettem Biergarten und schöner Bar. Es sehr gut besucht, Menschen aus den Büros rundherum scheinen das Mittagsangebot zu schätzen. Wir besuchen das Lokal unter dem Wasserturm, wählen aus der kleinen Karte. Spezialität scheint die Pizza zu sein. Wir bestellen Kässpätzle mit Gurkensalat und Pasta mit Bärlauchpesto. Dazu trinken wir leckere hausgemachte Limonaden.

Rustic, nice and cozy, you can go there again and again

The 60/40 is a special place. The industrial look is what sets the store apart. Here you will not only find good food, with a changing menu at reasonable prices, but also nice and interesting people. It's the perfect location to have something to eat and drink before a concert in Schlafthof. Reservations, especially before events, are definitely an advantage for larger groups; with two people you can still find something even without having reserved. You shouldn't be afraid of contact, because you might just be sat at the table with someone. What some people take some getting used to, but leads to great conversations and unexpected concert buddies. The food is good and matches the ambience. The service is attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back! Table is already booked

Great place for a pizza, after work or lunch! The food is delicious from burgers to pizza and salad. I can only recommend it.

Been there again 6 years later. The staff is still as rude and listless as they were back then. As a customer you are actually just being a nuisance.

Even though the store was full, we managed to get a seat with three people without a reservation. The service was relatively quick for the number of guests. A beer order only arrived after the bill had been paid, but it was free and an apology was made for it taking so long.

Great location with a manageable menu, which I think is great. The staff is always nice and it's nice to sit outside in the summer. Only the volume inside is a bit suboptimal for conversations. But the food and the location itself is an enrichment and an authority for Wiesbaden.

The 60/40 manages the balancing act between pub and restaurant and does it quite well. Although it basically only has one large room (with two levels), it doesn't get uncomfortable and there is enough privacy for conversations that go beyond small talk. The service is friendly, competent and fast, and the audience is pleasantly mixed. The food is great. My absolute favorite are the fries. Yep, plain, coarse-cut fries that don't need anything because they just work that way.

One of the most relaxed places to have a nice evening in Wiesbaden.

We regularly go for a drink there before concerts at the Schlachthof. We feel very comfortable there. Great selection of drinks. There is also vegan food there. But there is always a lot going on before concerts. But we actually still got a place.

The lunch menu items are delicious and the prices are fair. It's best to reserve a table in advance for lunch. Unfortunately we had to wait a little longer for our food (almost 50 minutes), but it was really busy. The service is friendly and pretty quick. Further recommendation: Due to the generous ceiling height, it can be a bit chilly at lunchtime on cold days, so it's better to wear a sweater. But the food makes up for everything. We keep coming back.

The perfect place to get in the mood for an evening at the slaughterhouse in a relaxed atmosphere with burgers, pizza and beer. In summer there is a large beer garden, currently there is an outdoor bar with mulled wine etc., attentive service included 👍🏻

Nice atmosphere, drinks and dishes are also convincing. The service was friendly and tried hard, but seemed unorganized and rather overwhelmed, and we sometimes had to wait quite a long time for our food. But if you want to eat in a nice atmosphere and have some time, you can always stop here.

Great. Sensational. I need a room like this to live. Only about 180% larger... No, everything is fine. In Munich, the city where I came from, this place would be overrun with some people from Schwabing or Munich If it hadn't been sooooo cold, we would have stayed a long time. We had the Chef Burger. It tasted very good but unfortunately the meat was hard and overcooked. There was also no more arugula and was replaced with normal lettuce. This was the second time I've eaten here and some ingredient was missing...

Waited over half an hour until a waitress came over for the first time, then waited another half hour for three portions of fries when the restaurant was only half full. Price/performance for the normal fries is still okay, but for the chili cheese fries it's a bit outrageous. At least the table football is free to while away the waiting time and the vegan options are clearly marked and relatively numerous for the otherwise manageable menu.

We were here with a larger group. The chairs are very uncomfortable. Location is actually pretty cool. Food was very organic, but unfortunately not very good. One of us complained that everyone else just ate it because they couldn't have done it better and we were hungry. Burger buns were in the oven for too long, there felt like there was no sauce on the burger, it was incredibly dry. The fries were very tasty. Service was always quick, even though the store was full. Very well organized. So when the friend complained, each of us at the table had a drink of our choice taken off the bill, which I found very accommodating.

100% great location, conveniently located and easy to reserve online. Perfect for a good meal before a concert next door or a drink afterwards. :-)

If the burger had been hot, it probably would have tasted very good. So unfortunately I have to deduct stars. The service was also slow, although there were apparently enough service staff on the go.

The 60/40 is close to the train station. You can easily go there as a group. There are burgers and other simple dishes. The volume takes some getting used to.

I really like the 60/40, but when we were there today and asked if it was already open, the waitress fobbed us off with a very unfriendly “no”. When I pointed out their unfriendliness, a very obscene insult was shouted at us :) How can such people work in service? Simply impossible and disrespectful.

I love it, Haake Beck and Spaten for a good price. Fries are very tasty. The sun is shining right now. What do you need more?!

60/40 is more than just a restaurant. It's an experience! The location in the slaughterhouse is a real eye-catcher and the atmosphere is super relaxed. The menu offers a good mix of classic dishes and creative creations. The burgers are especially amazing! The price-performance ratio is absolutely right and the service is super friendly. The only small point of criticism: there is no children's menu and when there is a lot going on, you have to expect waiting times.

Nice place on a hot summer evening. Sitting outside is great, there is no traffic on the neighboring train tracks, so it stays quiet. Service was excellent, friendly and quick. The food was good and not expensive. The highlight for me was Spaten Helles, a beer that you don't find too often in Hesse.

We spent a wonderful evening on a weekend trip with the nice people we met there. The food was very tasty and there was also plenty of choice of drinks. Unwind on the terrace while watching a beautiful sunset!

Super tasty food and lots of vegetarian/vegan... Service is always great, sometimes there's just a lot going on. But everyone was super friendly. You feel comfortable here whether inside or outside in the beer garden. Always happy :)

The service is way too slow. After several requests, our order was only taken 35 minutes after we were placed.

Nice atmosphere, beer garden atmosphere outside, more industrial inside. Everything seems rather relaxed and down-to-earth, as do the dishes on the menu. However, the price/performance level is simply not right, especially the weekly changing lunch menu with over €10-€13 per dish, not so attractive for a quick lunch for working people. The salads are delicious. Unfortunately the pizza didn't taste good, it was dry and thin. It's nice to sit outside and have a drink. Unfortunately, service wasn't particularly warm or friendly either.

Industrial-charming bar with an extensive drinks menu and a small selection of dishes. The Hessian tapas failed to convince me recently. The prices are pleasantly moderate and when the weather is good you can also sit down in the beer garden, although self-service is the order of the day, at least in the afternoon. Four stars.

Last visit was pretty good, this time very bad. Despite asking the waitress, we waited over 1h20m for the food. And although something obviously went wrong or was forgotten, the whole thing wasn't mentioned or explained to us at all. They didn't even ask if everything was okay. Unacceptable. Quality of the food today was just ok.

Wir wollten essen und trinken. Erst wurden wir mehrfach umgesetzt, weil die Tische an die wir uns gesetzt haben auf einmal doch reserviert waren. Die Getränke wurden aufgenommen und danach kam keiner mehr an unseren Tisch. Nach 30min haben wir beschlossen zu gehen. Aber wir bezahlen wenn keiner an den Tisch kommt. Also bin ich an die Bar gegangen. Dort fragte man mich ob ich nur Getränke hatte… ja, denn man kam ja leider nicht an unseren Tisch, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Kartenzahlung funktionierte dann auch nicht. Unfreundliches Personal!

That was the worst food I've ever eaten, even with my companion it was really bad and the price was so expensive The waitress wasn't interested and didn't take the food back, but said "that she doesn't eat anything here" What a statement!!! I then went to the kitchen window and there was an American who had been working in the kitchen and had apologized 1000 times, even though he hadn't made the food, but the other staff didn't care The service only gets 3 stars because of the nice black man in the kitchen who was extremely friendly, otherwise only 1 You should rethink your food It's a real shame for such a location!! And yes it was the restaurant and when he doesn't work there what is he doing in the kitchen, the mixed race or the black one??? Your food is just filth and paying for it was a disgrace

We spontaneously went to eat there before a concert because we still had time (and hunger). Good food and, above all, interesting selection. The ambience with proximity to the cultural center, skater and fitness park and train station has its own urban charm. We really liked it.

Nice place to have a drink and some food before a concert next door. Last time we sat inside and the service and food was excellent. This time we were outside and it was quite busy so service wasn't as good. Food wasn't as nice either, still fine though and the prices are very good. Will definitely go again when in Wiesbaden

Nice beer garden outside, nice ambience inside. The food was just like that. The Dinnete tasted very good, the side salad was bitter and the dressing was rather tasteless. Unfortunately, the vegetarian burger is only available with a meat substitute patty, which tasted rather strange. A real vegetable patty would be nicer. The fries were again very okay. The situation was similar with the waitresses, one was very nice, the other was rather annoyed. So there is at least a 50:50 chance that you will have a nice evening there.

We had specially booked a table for dinner and then wanted to go on to a concert at the Schlachthof. Unfortunately - 15 minutes after the drinks - we were told there would be a kitchen stop and no more orders would be accepted for the next 1.5 hours. We were already short on time and had to walk back to the train station and get something to eat there. Thank you very much for that. More than annoying... luckily we had reserved ☝️😅. The most beautiful location is of no use if it is so unreliable. We won't go there again and will plan differently in the future.

We were guests in the beautiful beer garden before a slaughterhouse event. Even though everything was very busy, the service was extremely friendly and quick. The drinks came promptly. - 5 stars The dishes took a while (approx. 45 minutes for Hessian starters and currywurst fries). Unfortunately the food was a bit cold, but the taste was quite good for the price. Because of the large number of guests at the event, I like to turn a blind eye. - 4 stars Gladly again!

Cool location in Wiesbaden's train station district with very good cuisine. Service was nice, only once a bit understaffed. Many people should also find something on the menu in terms of price.

The vegan dishes are amazing 😍 The large, open space makes it a little louder, so it's not ideal for a romantic rendezvous. But all in all a great shop 👍🏻
