deLeckerbeck in Norderney

A “must” when visiting the island. In the one week I was there, I felt very well cooked three times. Broad beans a poem. The fish plate anyway. And first of all the mustard cream soup and the mushrooms as a starter.... Thank you very much!

I am still enthusiastic about deLeckerbeck. In the middle of Norderney City, the former synagogue has been converted into a culinary hotspot. Whether fish, meat or vegetarian dishes, everything is very tasty here without seeming pretentious. Always recommended: East Frisian cuisine. The service is courteous and sometimes shows a relaxed side. It's best to reserve your table here, because after every visit I've noticed that every last seat in the restaurant was full.

We had very tasty food here on vacation. There was something delicious for everyone on the menu. Whether fish, meat, soup, etc. There was something for everyone. Taste was top notch Service top.With the best restaurant we visited in the 5 days. Fast, friendly and very tasty. The ambience wasn't bad either with great, cozy table decorations. Inside, upstairs, the tables were very narrow, you were almost sitting with your neighbor. We sat upstairs on the terrace, with a heater and blankets... very pleasant in November. The tables were a little further apart. Still reasonably priced. At least the price/performance is definitely right here. At the end, with great attention, there was an Asacker schnapps. ... Unfortunately, we don't award the 5th star for complete satisfaction here because you can't make a reservation here... you always get the answer from 9 p.m. or if you're lucky, try it sooner... just come and see if there's space. Unfortunately that doesn't work at all. Why can't you just make a reservation at the normal dinner time of 6/7 p.m. like everywhere else? Otherwise the rest... very good, can definitely be recommended.

The three of us were able to eat here on two evenings. We didn't have a reservation. The first evening we got a table on the roof terrace, which was really perfect. The ambience on the roof terrace deserves 5 stars, as do the seats in the upper inner area, but it's not so comfortable downstairs. But we didn't sit there. The food was heavenly. On the first evening I was so impressed by the classic rump steak that I enjoyed it again on the second visit. Priced at around €32 with fries and salad, the quality is just right. There are fewer vegetarian dishes on the menu, but the vegetarian accompaniment was enchanted by the Italian Rösti on both evenings. The service was always extremely friendly and accommodating on both evenings. I simply can't say anything negative here because there was simply nothing negative during our two visits. Absolutely a recommendation and we will definitely come back when we are in Norderney again.

Top food, great selection of delicious fish dishes, but also East Frisian home cooking such as Labskaus and broad beans with smoked pork. Price performance ratio great. Also a thank you to the great service.

A very cozy and friendly restaurant, the food is absolutely recommended. The entire menu can be ordered gluten-free. For me as the person affected, it's a dream. The staff is very friendly and the food came very quickly. Gladly again

Wir waren heute Abend zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Wir waren diesen Urlaub , schon 25 x auf Norderney, nicht gerade kulinarisch verwöhnt worden. Bei anderen Restaurants hat die Qualität nachgelassen. Im Leckerbeck wurden wir verwöhnt. Tolles sympathisches Personal, guter Service und ein leckeres Essen. Vorspeise ein Salatteller, meine Frau hatte ein Jägerschnitzel und ich einen Fischteller. Beide Menüs waren 1a. Nächsten Urlaub ins de Leckerbeck klar die erste Adresse!!!

Update 11/23: Unforgettably delicious every time we eat at “deleckbeck”. The menu is varied and there should be something for everyone - whether it's a starter, main course or dessert. The entire team is on their toes and very accommodating. Keep it up, we love coming every time 🫶 Looking forward to next year! ...... Great team, always friendly and accommodating! Very good food! If you get a seat on the terrace, the evening is probably perfect. The interior is also nice but on the terrace it is perfect. For food we had two types of steaks as well as the vegetarian Rösti and the feedback on the food was nothing but positive. Also a very nice, attentive staff. Overall, a perfect price-performance ratio and a great atmosphere with great service.

The most important thing in advance: The food (mustard cream soup, fish platter, schnitzel, salad) is excellent. The price level is pleasantly “normal” and even cheap given the high quality. The service today was quick and cheerful. The interior of the restaurant is more functional than cozy, but definitely OK. Overall a good recommendation. This mustard cream soup... 😀

Went there with my wife last night and we were very impressed with the food. The service was top, as was the ambience. The restaurant is highly recommended. We'll definitely come back again.

De Leckerbeck…..für uns leider nie mehr !! Es war fast so wie in einem schlechten Film und eigentlich nicht zu glauben, das man in einem Restaurant als Gast so behandelt wird.Denn nachdem wir unser Essen serviert bekamen stellten wir fest, daß es nur noch lauwarm war ( na ja … lauwarmer Fisch und Bratkartoffeln schmecken nicht so gut). Unsere wirklich nette und freundlich ausgedrückte Reklamation endete damit,daß die unfreundliche Servicekraft die Teller mitnahm und uns anschließend einen Gruß aus der Küche mitteilte mit der Äußerung: Das Essen sei so in Ordnung und es wäre nicht kalt und es gäbe keinen Ersatz weil….die Küche keine Zeit dafür hätte…. und man würde uns nun bitten das Restaurant zu verlassen !!!…… Ziemlich fassungslos verließen wir das Lokal und kamen zu dem Entschluss diese Situation auf diesem Weg zu veröffentlichen.

Der Salat zur Vorspeise war gestern frisch und knackig. Die Getränke kamen sehr zügig . Der Hauptgang mit Steak,Pommes und Pfeffersauce waren mehr als gut. Service war überaus freundlich,und hat nach unserem Wohlbefinden regelmäßig gefragt . Danke ,Kompliment an die Küche und an die freundliche Kellnerin! Wir waren 3 x in 2 Wochen dort, um die Stempelkarte für meine Tochter vollzukriegen. 2x waren wir sehr zufrieden, alles top- selbst wenn 20jährige Servicemitarbeiter einen älteren Herrn einfach duzen. Beim 3. Mal mussten wir starke Abstriche machen: in der Norderneyer Fischplatte verstekcten sich schwarze Haare, meine Tochter wollte ein Steak natur- - es kam ein Pfeffersteak. Bei Reklamation krazte man den Pfefer einfach ab und wir bekamen das selbe Steak wieder. Als es immer noch zu pfeffrig war , bekam meine Tochter dann ein neues Gericht. Allerdings war ich dann schon mit dem Essen fertig, und sie musste 20 min warten. Leider kam nichts als Entschuldigung - ein Freigetränk oder eine Kugel Eis etc. . DAs hätte ich mir beim 3.Besuch dann schon gewünscht.

There are almost no vegetarian dishes. I think this is absolutely out of date and I would have expected a menu like this perhaps 20-30 years ago.

Spent a cozy evening there with friends with food and drinks! The fish plates, especially the fish, were delicious, the fried potatoes were deducted from the meal, with all 3 bowls several fried potatoes were served that you couldn't eat, hard and chewy!! Very friendly staff, not a long wait! It was definitely an oversight with the fried potatoes and otherwise it was absolutely recommended!!

Fish without regretting that you ordered it. Maybe a few guests less are sometimes more! But otherwise there's nothing to complain about. Prices that also correspond to the performance - in my opinion. I can only recommend it.

Quite inconspicuous from the outside, in a small one Restaurant located on a side street. However, the name says it all: DELICIOUS!

Die Reservierung in diesem Restaurant erfolgte einen Tag vorher persönlich. Leider bekommt man einen Tisch auf der Außenterrasse nur, wenn man Glück hat. Wir saßen daher eher im weniger gemütlichen hinteren Bereich. Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam, auch wenn meine etwas eigensinnige Art, den in meinem Rücken befindlichen Lüfter auszuschalten, nicht auf Gegenliebe stieß. Aber es war letztlich in Ordnung. Sehr gut war das Essen: Senfcremesuppe (sehr lecker), Matjesfilet Hausfrauenart und der Fisch im Mantel (Seelachsfilet in Knusperpanade mit Reis und Sauce Bernaise). Schmeckte köstlich, auch wenn ich es nicht ganz geschafft habe. Zum Schluss gab es einen Waldmeisterschnaps aufs Haus, was ich immer sehr aufmerksam finde. Wem es nichts ausmacht, im Sommer bei schönen Temperaturen drinnen zu sitzen, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Im Winter sowieso...

For me the best restaurant on Norderney in terms of price and performance! There were four of us... all the dishes including starters were great! The fish dishes are particularly recommended! Desserts are also very tasty / prices for drinks are at a normal level! The service is great and very friendly. Gladly again!

Our first fish on Norderney - very tasty, no complaints! The kitchen caters to all wishes including gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, etc. We give it 5 out of 5! ✨Reservation recommended!✨ -> I recommend calling ahead and asking if something is available. That worked great so we were offered a table that was still available for 1 1/2 hours. + The waiter was very friendly and took our order quickly, even though it was quite full. + Drinks were at the table within 5 minutes. + The food was on the table after 20 minutes. +++ The food was very tasty and you could see and taste that fresh ingredients were used. It was served hot and the portions were a nice size. ++ The waiter kept coming by and asking if everything was OK, but wasn't intrusive. ++ We chose dessert from the daily menu, chocolate cake with a liquid center, vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit. This was also very tasty and a good ending. ++ Price-performance ratio was also very good. For two people with a main course, a bottle of water, a wine, a cola and two desserts we were around €80. Conclusion: We can highly recommend this restaurant, nice staff, delicious and freshly prepared food, fast service despite a full house. 12/10, we'd love to come back.

The restaurant does not invite you to relax or linger. It's all about one thing: FOOD! And that is very good with excellent service. All dishes taste great and are large. The price is also completely okay. Unfortunately there is no nice atmosphere and so I think the restaurant is a bit overrated.

Waren heute dort essen. Waren beide sehr zufrieden. Steak Madagaskar auf den Punkt Medium gebraten mit einer sehr leckeren Pfeffersauce. Meine Frau hatte Schollenfilet mit Salat und Bratkartoffeln. Alles sehr lecker. Hervorzuheben ist hier auch das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Bis jetzt unser leckerstes Essen auf der Insel. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Besonderer Besuch im Restaurant „de leckerbeck“ Vom Empfang im Restaurant bis hin zum Espresso als Gast top gefühlt. Ich bekam um 21 Uhr noch einen Tisch und die Möglichkeit, warmes Essen zu bekommen. Mein Jägerschnitzel wurde hervorragend serviert. Die Soße getrennt vom Schnitzel, die Pommes extra hinzugefügt. Schnelle Küche, gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung. Der italienischer Rotwein, Montepulciano hatte genau die richtige Temperatur und somit eine gute Qualität. Der Espresso wurde heiß und mit einem extra Glas Wasser serviert, wie in Italien 🇮🇹 😊. Kurzum, ein tolles Restaurant auf Norderney.

The food was excellent, the service (male) seemed a bit overwhelmed.

Due to the good reviews we have a quiet table for. 2 people ordered (3 weeks in advance) to end a birthday with a delicious meal. We were then given a small table in the middle of the crowded room on the first floor, right by the stairs. My inquiry as to whether there was anything free on the terrace was answered in the negative. I still wanted to see what the conditions on the terrace were like, maybe for next time. Lo and behold, three tables of four were free. When I pointed this out, we had to ask again whether we could sit there. My impression was that these tables were kept free for "good regulars". Now the order: two medium rump steaks with pepper sauce. A dry piece of meat was served twice and fried well. When we asked, we were told that the boss had said it would be medium. It was difficult to get through with a knife and it was difficult to chew. A dish for €36. We were then allowed to place a new order and we decided on fish, which was also good. After dinner we left straight away and it was a reasonably priced evening. We would definitely have ordered a bottle of wine and a dessert. But then we didn't feel like doing that anymore. To end the evening, we drank delicious cocktails in another restaurant in the evening sun. Next time we'll go somewhere else.

DeLeckerbeck is centrally located in the city of Norderney on 2 levels. A timely table reservation is recommended. We liked the food, the service was nice and quick. Due to the size of the room, it sometimes seemed very hectic due to the orders and changing guests. Nevertheless, we had a great evening with you, thank you!

Fish and other dishes very tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately the terrace was damp because it had rained previously and the maize was probably left down too late, so the tables and chairs were damp. Otherwise everything is fine. Price performance is right. Early reservation is recommended.

Ate at deLeckerbeck yesterday. As always, we were served quickly. And the food was delicious as usual. 👍

Unfortunately, the food is no longer as tasty as in recent years. Everything is beautifully presented, but the eye can't compete with the taste. - Plaice fillet was tasty from the fish but the pannade on the bottom didn't really taste good. Fried potatoes see below, salad could have been fresher prepared. - the smoked vegetables with the cod fillet were sometimes too smoky. - Beef fillet with curdled sauce (didn't look that tasty), unsalted rice, very salty vegetables. - Matjes fillets were delicious, but the fried potatoes were not crispy (warmed up or kept warm for too long) and some of the beans were not hot and the bacon was almost not roasted at all. Service used to be friendlier, but attentive. It's a real shame, the chef apparently stayed the same.

Update as I can't write two reviews in a row (Google doesn't allow it) I had my birthday dinner cooked up this Friday. Like me, my parents and my husband were once again very enthusiastic about the food!! The table was specially decorated. 😊 Very attentive team, everyone congratulated me. The dog also received his water bowl. In short: It's super nice that you get a little attention and also the table you want :-) Food excellent. Service fantastic. Another all around successful evening!! A huge thank you to everyone who took great care both on Sunday and today!! P ***** Fabulous service, phenomenal food. All 4 meals came quickly and the dishes were all perfect. Unfortunately we were just so hungry and didn't take any photos of the delicious food. We also really liked being able to sit a little more protected with the big dog. This meant the service could do its job without any problems without the dog getting in the way. The service staff were very attentive to serve us a nightcap as we said goodbye. I'm looking forward to the next visit on my birthday at the end of this week. :-)

Very tasty food and beautifully decorated restaurant. The roof terrace has a bit of cramped seating but is well protected from the wind. We'd love to go there again.

We had pasta with pesto. Very tasty, could have been a bit hotter. The service was consistently friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we had an inconvenient spot facing the balcony with constant running in and out. We would keep this in mind the next time we make a reservation. Unfortunately the only really negative thing was the toilets. On the surface they seemed ok but there was a strong smell of urine. M and W

Our new favorite restaurant on Norderney! We were here twice during our vacation, each time spontaneously on the roof terrace without a reservation. The waiting time for this was no longer than ~10 minutes, which is really okay. The roof terrace is protected from the wind and thanks to several heaters it is cozy and bright even when the weather is not great. For food: We tried the Norderney fish platter, the steinbeisser fillet and the Italian Röstis. Everything was really wonderfully seasoned and super tasty. The fish was tender and cooked to perfection, the sauces tasted great and the plates were always beautifully presented. My personal highlight was the wolffish fillet. We also shared dessert, chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. We found this a little too small for the price, but that's the only thing we could complain about. The portions of the main courses are a perfect size and the price-performance ratio suits us. We would come here again at any time if we were on holiday in Norderney again. Thank you!!

We really enjoyed it! Best meal on the island so far

The food is really tasty, but when you sit downstairs, the constant ringing of the telephone, which is way too loud, gets on your nerves. Since someone calls every 2 minutes, our tip would be to replace the ringtone with a small light signal or to turn it down completely and answer the calls quietly. That would be wonderful for the ambience! ♥️

From the outside, the deLeckerbeck looks rather conservative, but it is not. Nice service, I was positively surprised by the dishes, almost star level and best of all: you really get full.

Ambiance is deducted one star because we sat in front of the restaurant and directly above the storm drain - of course you can't help the smell of the storm drain, but it's your choice to seat the guests there. BUT everything else is really great, service is always great, dishes are always good and tasty (Labskaus is to die for). Gladly again - but never outside again.

After a long time I was able to be a guest again today. This time alone with my kids. As always, the food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was great. Special requests, such as children's Jägerschnitzel, will of course be fulfilled. A great restaurant. And unfortunately one of the only few restaurants left on Norderney that still has a sensitive touch when it comes to pricing, including when it comes to children's meals. We'd love to come back :-) Thanks for the lovely evening!

Finally original German cuisine without any frills, but totally delicious. Like with nuts! The highlight for me were the broad beans.

You should definitely reserve here in advance! Small restaurant over two floors with friendly, attentive staff and delicious East Frisian dishes. We'd love to come back!

An appealingly varied menu with fish and meat dishes, something vegetarian and there are smaller portions for children and seniors upon request. It was delicious and the prices were ok.

Top restaurant! Five stars absolutely deserved. Excellent value for money and excellent quality of the food. We had the schnitzel Ticino style. The portion size was huge, everyone should be fed up here. The starter in the form of tomato cream soup with wild garlic pesto was also convincing. We sat on the outdoor terrace, which can be visited without a reservation and is pleasant to linger even in adverse weather conditions (April, 11 degrees, rain, wind) thanks to the heaters and outdoor protection.

Eine sehr lohnenswerte Adresse. Wir haben mit 4 Ehepaaren im Obergeschoß gesessen. Angenehmes Publikum, schönes Ambiente und sehr freundliches Personal. Alle Teilnehmer waren mit dem Essen äußerst zufrieden. Das Speisenangebot ist vielseitig und in der Zusammenstellung positiv besonders. Die Getränkeauswahl ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Leider hatten wir die Vorgabe, nur zwei Stunden für Essen und Trinken.

The food is really top class! Not exactly cheap, but reasonable for the quality. The tables and chairs are a bit cramped. You don't have a lot of space. What we didn't think was possible was a waitress who was responsible for our service. Corners of mouth down, not a single smile, not really welcoming to a guest. I was about to ask whether she really didn't enjoy the job as much as her demeanor suggested. Something like that ruins what should have been a lovely evening. A pity.

The fish dishes were very tasty and the service was also friendly and good. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is right. There were local guests there, which speaks for itself. The ambience upstairs was a bit uncomfortable because it was very bright and the dessert menu consisted mainly of ice cream. Otherwise everything is very good!

Very tasty food, beautifully presented and of good quality. I had the Ticino schnitzel. Two beautiful breaded pork schnitzels gratinated with boiled ham, leek strips and mushrooms. Plus hollandaise sauce and fried potatoes. Definitely too big a portion for me. I enjoyed it so much 😋. Large portions, nice selection of fish and meat. The service was also attentive and cheerful. The dessert at the next table also looked convincing. Highly recommended!!!

After a 2 year break, back on Norderney and straight to deLeckerbeck! It hasn't diminished, the food is still delicious, the service is friendly and attentive.

Heute da gewesen. Sehr lecker Norderneyer Fischplatte und Tessiner Schnitzel gegessen. Super Service - gab sogar ein „Ständchen“ zum Friesengeist. Gleich für morgen wieder einen Tisch reserviert. Toll !!!

Das Ambiente im Obergeschoss gleicht dem einer Ferienwohnung, es fehlt etwas an gemütlicher und inseltypischer Atmosphäre. Ich hatte zur Vorspeise eine Senfsuppe, die sich im Geschmack und der Konsistenz nicht wirklich von der Senfsoße, die zu meinem Fischteller gereicht wurde, unterschied. Hier hatte ich etwas mehr Raffinesse erwartet. Insgesamt in Ordnung und auch einen zweiten Besuch wert aber vielleicht auch etwas überbewertet im Vergleich zu vielen anderen guten Restaurants.

We have been guests for many years in the Restaurant de Leckerbeck. It's always a pleasure to be there eat. Fresh quality lovingly served on the plate. The service team is always committed and friendly. Another highlight was the New Year's Eve menu 2023...consisting of 6 courses. The kitchen crew has it again superbly cooked for the occasion accordingly. In this respect can We highly recommend de Leckerbeck.

Eat good. You just sit very close together, table to table. You have to go up a flight of stairs.

We enjoyed a really great New Year's Eve menu. Very interesting, tasty and the timing and service were also great. DELeckerbeck is a restaurant run by the family with heart and love, which is a compulsory program during our Nordeney stays. Highly recommended.

An extremely good restaurant....beautiful ambience, unobtrusive and perfect service and really excellent cuisine with some traditional dishes and an absolutely successful feel for them Combination of Nordic tradition with Mediterranean influences.

Waren mit mehreren Personen im Restaurant essen. Das Ambiente lässt sehr zum wünschen übrig. Die Speisen sind altbacken und geschmacklich nicht besonders. Uns hat es nicht gefallen und wir würden da ach nicht mehr essen gehen. Der Service war sehr gut.
