A great evening! Fantastic food, good service, and a good selection of dishes and drinks. Always a treat. Be sure to make a reservation.

The reception was a bit bumpy, but the service was attentive. The food made up for it; the value for money was OK. We would come again.

Friendly restaurant with delicious, almost perfect food. We got a table in the evening without a reservation. Luckily, we were seated on the sheltered, heated terrace. It has good ventilation, but you get a seaside feel, and the fire pit creates a cozy ambiance. Unfortunately, the interior is quite stuffy due to limited space. The staff is very friendly. The dishes were the famous beans and the delicious wolffish. Thanks to Haus Leckerbeck.

We went there twice during our vacation. The food was tasty, but not outstanding. The entire staff was very friendly. However, you get the impression that you're being rushed through, which significantly reduces the comfort factor and the length of your stay. Overall, definitely recommendable, but a bit overrated.

I was so excited because you can't get anything done here without an early reservation. I thought: it must be some trendy place... But I was wrong! Regular prices, friendly, fast service, and fantastic food!!! I could have been fooled!!! I will definitely book a table here again in advance on my next visit to the island! Delicious food at reasonable prices. Drink prices are much better than those at other restaurants on Norderney, so you'll likely want to order a second or third drink. Please keep it that way.

I ate at the restaurant with my wife, and unfortunately, we were both extremely disappointed. My wife had a fish dish with rice. The rice was unfortunately still hard, while the fish was lukewarm. We informed the waitress, but she was more annoyed than understanding and solution-oriented. She did offer us an alternative side dish, so 10 minutes later we got boiled potatoes to go with the already finished fish. Unfortunately, that didn't help us either, as we wanted to eat together and, secondly, everything warm. I had the hunter's schnitzel with "fried potatoes." The hunter's schnitzel with the sauce was okay, but nothing more; it tasted no worse at any snack bar. The fried potatoes were a disgrace. How a chef would even serve something like that is beyond me. Dripping with grease, shriveled, and tasteless. I picked the best, but even they were no good. I'm sorry to have to write so harshly, but our complaint there was dismissed. There was virtually no response, even though they asked us if everything was okay. Our genuinely polite complaint seemed uninterested. €51 more or less wasted.

I always have mixed feelings when I write extremely positive reviews. The more enthusiastic the people are, the busier it gets. But there's no other way to say it: a must when you're on Norderney if you like fish and the prices are absolutely normal and not exorbitant. We'd just returned from a bike tour and three women and I got a great spot on the terrace upstairs, where unfortunately you can't make reservations. A stroke of luck! The food, service, drinks, everything was top-notch. And it didn't matter because we sat outside, but in the fully booked dining room upstairs and downstairs it would have been far too warm and stuffy for us after a day in the fresh air, but if necessary you can sit outside downstairs. Not as nice but just as tasty I think.

For us, a visit to deLeckerbeck is an absolute must during a Norderney vacation. A table reservation is required. The food is simply delicious and prepared with love, and changes are never a problem. Everything is rounded off by the friendly and competent service staff. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Highly recommended. Very hard-working and friendly staff, despite being "full steam ahead" in season. Well-structured and organized. "Down-to-earth" dishes at fair prices and very tasty. The broad beans are a dream, and the fish preparation is "understood."

A cozy restaurant in the center of Norderney. It's spread over two floors, and we've always sat upstairs so far. The food was delicious, although my wife and I have only eaten fish there so far. However, I've heard from others that the meat dishes are also very good. There's a good selection of wines that paired well with the fish. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We've always had reservations so far, so I don't know how difficult it is to get a table spontaneously. The restaurant has generally been busy.

You should reserve a table in advance by phone; we received a very polite and friendly welcome. We sat up on the roof terrace, and the starter and main course (Norderney fish platter) were very, very delicious. The price is reasonable, but I'm happy to pay a little more for freshly prepared dishes. If you like fish, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!👌👍

Very tasty, fine East Frisian cuisine. We go there every time we're on Norderney. The staff is usually friendly, and the food is always excellent.

We made a reservation by phone and were given a table on the glass-enclosed roof terrace. All dishes were freshly prepared, and special requests were accommodated. Main courses ranged in price from €20 to €25. Children's and senior citizen portions are available. The service was friendly and prompt, and the complimentary Waldmeister vodka at the end was a nice touch. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We were greeted very warmly and friendly by ALL the staff. We ate up on the roof terrace and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was a 10 out of 10!!!!! The cream of potato soup was simply perfect. The pepper steak was grilled and seasoned to perfection. The fried potatoes, without bacon if requested, were very tasty. The fish platter with mustard sauce was exceptionally well-cooked and seasoned. Respect and compliments to the entire team. 100% recommended. We would definitely come back again. Nice rooftop terrace, but the interior is also appealing. The service is friendly and attentive. I had my first Labskaus and would order it again; my wife's fish dish was also delicious.

The food was far too oily, the fried potatoes were greasy, and the fish was tasteless. There were hardly any vegetarian options, and the pasta with pesto was dripping with oil. Service was unfriendly, and the prices were too high for the quality. Not recommended.

Today, four of us were there. The food came quickly. The salad was bland, the mustard sauce was a mess, the pasta with pesto was very oily and inedible, the fish was tasteless, and the fried potatoes weren't crispy enough. It's a shame we wasted 100 euros. Not recommended!

Hello everyone. I don't usually write reviews. But now I want to. We've been vacationing on Norderney for a few years now. We finally had dinner at DeLeckerbeck. And it was simply a perfect evening. Friendly, cheerful, and attentive staff. My wife had the mushrooms with garlic sauce as a starter. The hunter's schnitzel (2) with fried potatoes and a dessert of the day. All delicious. I had the Feuerland rump steak. With a subtle pepper crust and a simply (sorry) amazing sauce. And to finish off, a nightcap from our favorite distillery, Prinz. As I said, a perfectly successful evening. The staff, ambiance, and food were a 10 out of 10. Our new favorite restaurant.

Three days there... The food was AMAZING... Excellent quality with great service. Unfortunately, today was our last day on the island, but we'd definitely come back. Highly recommended and the best restaurant we ate at in our three days.

It was our first time eating there. We had made a reservation. We received a warm welcome and were sent to the upper floor with our table number. (If you can't climb stairs, reserve downstairs.) Once we got upstairs, we were immediately assigned a table. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We chose a starter, which arrived promptly. The mustard soup was delicious. My husband had hunter's schnitzel and I had fish in a cheese coating, both very tasty. It wasn't too busy, so the noise level was fine. All in all, a very pleasant evening.

Highly recommended! The food is delicious. I had the Ticino schnitzel and my companion had the plaice fillet. The portion was huge. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive, even though all the tables were occupied. The wait wasn't long either. To finish off, we were treated to a glass of Waldmeister vodka on the house. All in all, I'd go back anytime.

We had a delicious meal. Reasonable price-performance ratio for Norderney. Unfortunately, we were quickly ushered through during our "booked dining time" because the table had already been booked. It wasn't pleasant. At the end, there were three shots for six people at the table. When I asked why our daughters (both 20 years old with Down syndrome) weren't offered a nightcap, the waitress replied: "They don't drink alcohol." She was apparently smarter ;-( and cheekier than us... What a shame! I've eaten there many times because the food is delicious, but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

We've been coming to Leckerbeck for many years. At the end of May, we celebrated our silver wedding anniversary with our best friends. It was absolutely fantastic. We're already looking forward to our next visits. Best wishes to the entire team, and thank you for everything.

I wasn't entirely convinced last year; I went there because of the gluten-free dishes for my adult daughter. This year, however, the delicious, home-style cooking was fantastic, whether it was fish or a schnitzel for the grandchildren, everything was delicious. The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. With all the stair climbing, they climb the Zugspitze almost every day 😉 So, keep up the good work, we'd love to come back.

Friendly service, great food. There were two of us and we had the Madagascar rump steak and the large fish salad! The meat was cooked exactly as requested, the beans were really good—not mushy, just perfect. The salad was a 10 out of 10! The fish pieces were perfectly bite-sized and perfectly fried. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good food.

The food tasted reasonably good, but unfortunately, they use a lot of vegetables and thickeners. And you can really taste it. It's a shame, I had expected more. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

When ordering, I was specifically asked whether the asparagus should be served al dente. The server confirmed this with conviction. Indeed, the asparagus was limp and bordering on mushy. Had I been alone, I would have sent the food back. Since I was with someone, I decided not to escalate the situation. Our table was also in the "flight path" to the roof terrace, so cold air blew onto our table every time the patio door was opened. Overall, a disappointing experience, and not just from a culinary perspective. But not everything was negative. Positive points to highlight were the uncomplicated reservation, the efficient service, and the selection of senior citizen dishes. It was also noticeable that the guests around us seemed satisfied with the food, as far as we could tell. Despite these positive aspects, the negative impression left by the poorly prepared meal and the "cat table" ultimately outweighed the negative.

So far everything was fine. We had reserved well in advance because my father always likes to eat there. We sat and ate very well downstairs on the first day, and the gentleman who served us was very friendly. We ate once on the first floor, and after the lady who greets the guests up there took a look at us, we would have liked to leave straight away, that was just uncomfortable for us. But she certainly didn't mean it, and everyone has a day like that. On our next visits we will ask for a table on the ground floor because it takes us too long to climb the stairs, this is just a tip if you are not good on foot. The food was definitely okay and is recommended.

We were turned away twice even though there were 3 tables available on the roof terrace. After ordering, we had our food within 10 minutes, so the kitchen definitely kept up. The food was good and plentiful, but not exceptional. Personally, I've eaten better for the price. Otherwise you can sit comfortably and warmly on the roof terrace (due to the heaters).

Keine Ahnung, warum dieses Restaurant auf Platz 1 rangiert! Touri-Abfertigung mit mittelmäßiger Essen, wenig Platz und genervtem Personal. Nicht wieder.

Wir können die die fast ausschließlich guten Bewertungen hier in keinem ner Weise nachvollziehen. Piefiges und in die Jahre gekommenes Ambiente, genervtes Personal und das Essen unterdurchschnittlich. Der Braten vom Ostfriesischem Deichlamm war derart fade gewürzt und in dunkler Bratensoße aus der Tüte ertränkt - von Rosmarin oder gar einer Umami Note keine Spur. Was an dem ebenso fadem Wirsinggemüse in Mehlschwitze geschmort gewesen sein soll, weiß vermutlich nur der Verfasser der Karte. Auch über die Scholle lässt sich nichts positives berichten. Alles unglaublich unambitioniert, schlecht abgeschmeckt und dafür viel zu teuer. Nach dem Essen wurde unser Tisch erst nach über einer halben Stunde abgeräumt, man war wohl zu sehr damit beschäftigt in der anderen Ecke des Lokals die Stühle auf denTisch zustellen. Keine Ahnung wie man mit der Leistung zu den Top-Scorern der Insel zählen kann zumal man hier in anderen Restaurants wirklich ausgezeichnet gut essen kann! Never again.

Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for German fine cuisine. It is advisable to reserve a table, although pick-up from home is also possible. In this case, the various ingredients for the dish are even packaged separately, something that hasn't been seen that often before. So thumbs up 👍

A special restaurant in the former synagogue. The meal was eaten at 8 p.m. on the 2nd shift with soup, starter, fish and East Frisian specialties. Fresh, plentiful and tasty, including a small dessert. We happily made one

If you want to eat very well, this is the right place for you! Today we had the Ticino schnitzel, it was a dream. The kale with Mettwurst and Kasseler is something to kneel down on. Been there several times, will go again. Highly, highly recommended! Here the chef is still up for it!

Very unfriendly service. You are not shown to your seat, but are told a table number. When we arrived at the top, the waitress stared at us unfriendly and without saying anything until we said the table number. She was surprised that we didn't know which table was meant. (Tables are not numbered) Food was slammed on the table, EC device left for payment without comment. Wasn't worth a tip for us. We wouldn't come back because of the poor service.

DeLeckerbeck, the restaurant, which is primarily considered one of the best on the island and is declared as such on various sites, unfortunately did not live up to this rating for us. Let's get down to business to justify our assessment. We went to this restaurant spontaneously, which was no problem as we were able to find a table for two people. When we got to the top, we had to report to the other waitress, who seemed very surprised that we still wanted to come and at 8 p.m. We were taken to our seat and took in the supposed ambience, which corresponded to a morbid train station bistro charm. The starters, a mustard soup and a herring tartare, tasted okay, the two identical main courses, the Norderney fish platter, were unfortunately drowned in a mustard sauce and the quality of the fish didn't suit our palate either. Unfortunately it was and should be noted that the food was served on plates that were mostly chipped at the edges. After a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, the named dishes and the complete ambience and service, we found the bill of €100 including tip more than outrageous. Unfortunately, for us, the restaurant doesn't deserve the top spot among the recommended restaurants on the island.

Wir haben 1 Woche vorher reserviert und wurden fürstlich bewirtet. Die Küche und das Personal sind hervorragend. Man darf die günstigen Preise nicht vergessen, trotzdem würde ich dieses Lokal unabhängig von den Preisen wegen der guten Qualität und der Menge wieder aufsuchen.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, allerdings wurden wir viel zu schnell bewirtet. Von der Bestellung bis zum servieren vergingen gerade mal 10 Minuten. Es gab uns das Gefühl, daß der Tisch schnell wieder frei gemacht werden soll.

Unfortunately we sat upstairs in the corner where there is no lamp hanging over the table. So it was a bit dark. There was also a strong draft through the door that leads to the warehouse (?). Our request to change tables could not be fulfilled because all tables were reserved. However, we were there shortly after 5 p.m., but had to leave again at 7 p.m.

In June 2024 we were guests with the family. We have fond memories of the food and friendly service. We will come back the next time we visit the island. Friends we recommended it to were also happy.
