Dayana Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

We ate there in October. It was fantastic. We ordered the historical dishes (2,500 year old recipes). The waiter described the history of the dishes so vividly that it was like visiting a restaurant experience museum. In addition to the experience, the food was also super tasty and really filling.

Lovingly prepared Persian specialties at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and has exciting stories to tell about the dishes served.

Unfortunately, the service was subpar, the restaurant was cold, and the food took a long time. The dishes were delicious, but I didn't tolerate mine well. Possibly an intolerance? No idea, definitely not a recommendation if it stayed that way.

A real treat! The Persian dishes tasted like a dream and the service was extremely attentive. Definitely a recommendation for all lovers of authentic cuisine.

Very nice atmosphere with delightful music. The staff was very welcoming. They served us Ash Reshte as a starter, which was very tasty. We ordered Koobideh kebab and Zereshk Polo with chicken. Both dishes were of good quality, though I would especially recommend the kebab. We also ordered tea, which was beautifully served in a traditional Qajar-style teapot.

I'm really disappointed. The taste of the food was disgraceful and the service was simply disrespectful. I've never experienced anything like this!

You have the feeling that you are not welcome as a guest. The food was carelessly prepared and the service treated us with a level of unfriendliness that I can hardly describe.

For New Year's Eve we had a very pleasant night with live music in a family and positive atmosphere. The food was also very good. We would like to thank the entire team for this great evening.

We spontaneously decided to eat here. As soon as you walked in, the restaurant felt homey. It's rustic anyway, as it's located in a former brewery cellar almost directly on the Main. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our dishes were very tasty, some of them fantastically seasoned. The salad dressing is great and the mint tea is a real hit, so fresh and tasty! Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

The price-performance ratio is right. The quality of the food is top, the taste is authentically good and the portions are generous. We have tried different food and drinks at Dayana on several visits. Highly recommended. Ambiance is quiet and quaint. The service staff attentive and friendly. Card payment is accepted and there are plenty of parking spaces directly on the banks of the Main nearby.

The food was excellent, both the mixed vegetarian starters and the main courses and more than sufficient. The service was extremely polite, there was also a very tasty salad beforehand and a small gift for the first visit. We would love to come back. Thanks for the good time!

Das persiche Restaurant liegt am Mainufer, man geht in den Gewöbekeller eines Hauses von der Strasse fast ebenerdig rein. Hervorzuheben ist der junge Mann, der heute für den Service veranstwortlich war, er hat sich für seine Deutschkenntnisse entschudligt (die ganz gut waren), hat uns Informationen zum Essen und zu einem Musikinstrument gegeben, das im Raum war. Der Service war flott. Die vegetarischen Vorspeißen für 2 Personen, sollte man sich zu 3 oder 4 Personen teilen (Yoghurt mit Gurke, Humus, Auberginen, dazu Brot). Der Geschmack ist sehr gut. wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen sicher nochmal um etwas anderes zu testen.

I recently dined at Dayana and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is a perfect blend of traditional Persian charm and old fashioned elegance place, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features a wide array of authentic dishes; the kebabs were juicy and flavorful, and the saffron rice was a highlight. The appetizers, like the shirazi salad and hummus, were fresh and delicious. Service was exceptional—attentive and knowledgeable. To top it off, the traditional Bastany and Faloofa and saffron ice cream were the perfect sweet end. Dayana is a standout spot for anyone craving top-notch Persian cuisine in Frankfurt.

Tja, das war ein wenig merkwürdig. Normalerweise bekommt man in einem persischen Restaurant einen Teller mit frischen Kräutern, Zwiebeln und Radieschen mit Frischkäse und Brot. Statt dessen kam ein Salat, Weißkohl mit Tomaten und Gurken, mit einem sehr undefinierbaren Dressing. Die Vorspeisen waren lecker, Falafel , Hummus und Salat Shirazi. Als Hauptgericht habe ich Djudje Kebab bestellt, mein persisches Leibgericht, laut Karte mit Granatapfel-Walnuss Sauce, auch ein Highlight der persischen Küche. Bekommen habe ich eine braune Sauce mit 5 kleinen Hühnerfleisch Stückchen und zwei vertrockneten Walnüssen darin. Ich habe dann noch einen Hähnchen Spieß nach bestellt. Das Fleisch war komplett überwürzt. Wenn ich nicht schon wirklich tolles persisches Essen erlebt hätte, würde ich sagen: Ein Mal und nie wieder!

Das Dayana hat einen tollen Standort direkt am Main. Es gibt leider nur 2 kleine Tische draußen an der Straße mit Blick auf den Main, aber wenn man einen davon ergattert ist das super (die Stühle könnten allerdings bequemer sein oder zumindest Sitzkissen haben!) Das Restaurant innen ist etwas dunkel, wie ein Ratskeller, was für kältere Abende wunderbar gemütlich ist, jetzt im Sommer etwas schade. Wir hatten ein paar Mega leckere nicht alkoholische persische Drinks und einen Vorspeisenteller für 2 Personen, der locker als Abendessen für uns gereicht hat. Etwas schade, dass wir so die Hauptspeisen nicht ausprobieren konnten :-) wir kommen wieder! Der Service war spitze und es gab einen Salat aufs Haus, während wir warteten. Toll!

Leider wurde unsere Reservierung von den Mitarbeitern übersehen und wir durften nicht in das Restaurant

Very cozy atmosphere in the vaulted cellar. The five of us shared several dishes, all of which were very tasty - and the homemade lemonade was also a highlight.

As a Mirzaghasemi lover, I can say this is the best I've had outside of Iran! The drinks were packed with flavors that reminded me of home, and the Abgoosht (Dizi) was really good. The staff is super nice and warm, and the atmosphere is great. Definitely coming back—and next time, I'll snap some better pics because this place totally deserves it. We got too excited when the food arrived with those amazing smells!

Very tasty, authentic Persian cuisine. The dishes were all freshly prepared, hummus and falafel and much more are homemade and everything is very tasty and seasoned appropriately. Kubideh and rice were very tasty and I can highly recommend it. Mirzaghasemi and Kashkehbademjan are also very authentic and can optionally be served as vegetarian dishes.

I was there today with a friend and the food was really great. However, the service was almost even better. Friendly, attentive, not intrusive, warm. There was even a small gift to take home as a farewell. What it was? It's best to stop by and find out for yourself. 😉 About the location: It's easy to overlook the Dayana, but it's a great place to go if you're coming from a walk on the Main, as you only have to walk a few meters up the street from the riverside promenade.

We went on a bike tour to the Schwanheimer Dune and had dinner here. From the outside, the restaurant looks more like a fast food restaurant, but inside you will find yourself in a vaulted cellar: with white ceilings, beautiful table decorations and delicious food at affordable prices. It's a small restaurant, so I'd rather make a reservation at peak times. Good service, good location on the Main and fine food. We'd love to come back! P.S. The reason why the exterior decoration looks so simple is that large installations are not allowed to be installed on the listed building.

There were two of us passing through and we shortened the waiting time with a little treat. We were very positively surprised, super delicious feel good food. Perfect hummus, really good falafel and baked eggplant. Sat outside nicely in front of the Restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Service and owner very friendly and nice. Today we cycled to the Main and by chance passed this restaurant. We spontaneously stopped in because of the good reviews on Google and we weren't disappointed! The service was very (!) friendly and professional. The ambience was immediately pleasing and had lots of small design details to offer. In general, there was a lot we liked about the details. For example, all vegetarian and vegan dishes were clearly marked so that you could quickly find your way around. The tea was beautifully prepared and much more than expected - straight into a pot. We only had the mixed plate for two people, but it was enough for our small appetite. The six generous dips (we also know them from various restaurants) were deliciously prepared including Persian bread. We'll be happy to come back with friends or family in the future and are looking forward to trying the larger dishes :-)

Incredibly good Persian food - very authentic. The best I've eaten in Frankfurt so far. The chicken and stew are to die for! Super nice service. Only the ambience is still very reminiscent of the times before Dayana, but still cozy.
