Schandis in Frankfurt am Main

Ich kenne das Schandis seit 20 Jahren und war nach längerer Pause wieder dort. Die aufwendige Renovierung hat dem Restaurant ein stilvolles Ambiente verliehen, das perfekt zu den authentischen persischen Gerichten passt. Küche und Service sind wie immer hervorragend – eine Reservierung ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, da das Lokal sehr gut besucht ist. Für mich bleibt das Schandis eine Top-Adresse für persische Küche im Rhein-Main-Gebiet.

Had an amazing experience at Schandis! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was packed with flavor and looked incredible. The staff were super friendly and made sure we felt taken care of. After a long time I visited this restaurant again. As a Persian who has visited many Persian restaurants in Europe and even in Iran, I can only say that this restaurant is simply the best in all respects! Both the quality of the food and the design were top! Service staff very friendly and attentive! Perfect. The prices are of course around 3 to 4 euros more expensive for food, which was ok for me if there was nothing to complain about!

A great experience of Iranian culture and cuisine. Excellent quality of service and extremely friendly staff. Excellent quality starters and drinks. Delicious tahdig and homemade doogh were a highlight. The starters and main courses were served with attractive presentation and very good quality. It may not have been the best Koobideh kebab in Germany, but overall it was the best experience in an Iranian restaurant in Germany for me. If we come back to Frankfurt, we will definitely return to Restaurant Schandis.

White tablecloth and napkins, candles, silverware and a lot of space between the tables. When you experience the competent, discreet, fast and super friendly guest-orientated service, you start to realise, you are in a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️restaurant. After you enjoyed the delicous offerings, that make your tastebudds dance tango and samba at the same time and experienced the fine herbs and spices of the persian cuisine, you know, this is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Of course, the prices are a bit upscale, but definitely worth every penny! If you are looking for a special dinner in elegant atmosphere with extraordanary cuisine, this is the place to go!

The Schandis is the best Persian restaurant I know. If I want to go out for a fancy and delicious meal with someone, Schandis is definitely my first choice. You can always rely on the ambience, service and food. Even when reserving a table, the employees try very hard to fulfill the customer's wishes. The food, especially the meat, is of very good quality. The spices are perfectly balanced so that the food is simply delicious. The service is attentive and what I particularly like is how quietly and carefully they work. The ambience was brought out of the rather small restaurant as best as possible with attention to detail. It's great that there is such a stylish and delicious restaurant in Frankfurt!

The rice tasted like oil and the food was very little at the price of thirty five euros, we heard the voice of one of the waiters saying why they don't go.

Food is amazing, the waiters are kind, the atmosphere is cosy despite the restaurant being on the fancy side.

I made a reservation for dinner with my family and we had to leave because the waitress simply ignored our requests and never served us! She gave the menus and left. She also waited on every table around us except ours. my husband called her several times but he was ignored. and one of them doesn't speak English, in 2024 this is unacceptable. I live in Dubai and have never experienced so much embarrassment. I've been traveling in Germany for 1 month and this was the worst restaurant!

Were in the renovated and newly designed restaurant for the first time today. It's very classy and chic! But the team is also very friendly, very attentive, fast and competent. The food and especially the starters are very good, as is the wine. The prices have risen significantly compared to before! But also the quality and the ambience. With a bit of luck you can find a parking space. Free on weekends.

We went to this restaurant last night and were disappointed. Some tables for two people are small and uncomfortable. I ask myself why ? And service was overwhelmed and unfocused last night. Overall, I find the prices excessively high and a lot of show and superficiality, which perhaps justifies the high prices. . In any case, we added our experience last night and would like to pass it on.

I can't recommend it. Another comment mentioned something about “racial profiling”. That's how we felt here too. We had reserved a table for 9:30 p.m., but were then asked to go to the tables outside. It should be obvious that at this time of year it should be clear that you have only reserved one table for inside. There were even free tables inside. We were the only ones outside, it wasn't exactly warm, the door inside was closed and it completely felt as if we had been deliberately excluded. We were then ignored for 10 minutes and not served. Then we just left. I have never experienced a situation like this in my life. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant to no one.

The food was inedible! Djuje raw and not grilled. Tomatoes raw and not grilled! The rice not steamed! No butter, just cheap oil! No onion! Very expensive for the very poor quantity! The food was served in huge plates with very little content! They're pretending to be a star restaurant now! Never again!

Very nice place for a high-end business or private dinner. The meat is high-quality (and halal). The ambience is calm and comfortable. If you have a large party it may takes a bit of time for food to be served but the quality of the food is good. Happy to return.

We planned our travel route from Colorado to Europe to include a stopover in Frankfurt to be sure we had a chance to eat at Shandis. We ate at Babam the year before and met Masoud who was an absolute gem. Our dinner at Shandis remains one of our best meals in our 5 week travel through Germany,Italy and France. We talked about our meal so many times- We are already planning another trip so we can visit all 3 of their restaurants . Hands down the best Persian food we have come across. We were there for the first time with four people. Personally, I had no previous experience with Persian dishes. So the very friendly waiter recommended the menu to us. Basically a cross-section of Persian cuisine. That was the best decision. The food was simply A+ with stars... The service from everyone involved was beyond reproach. From the beginning to the farewell, it was simply a fantastic experience. Thank you for this experience.

Jahrestag im edlen Schandis gefeiert am 30.12.23. Der älteste Perser in Frankfurt ( seit 1999 ) ist gleichzeitig auch immer noch der Beste. Allein die Atmosphäre mit der ruhigen Musik im Hintergrund und der stilvollen Einrichtung macht das Ausgehen im Schandis jedesmal zu etwas Besonderem. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und berät einen hervorragend zu Speisen und Weinen. Wir hatten Kubideh mit Lamm und Huhn und als Beilage persichen Juwelenreis. Als Vorspeise gab es Käse mit Oliven in Granatapfel und Walnusssauce. Beides sehr lecker und ausreichend. Das Schandis ist immer wieder ein Highlight auf das man sich freut.

5/5 Sterne - Das Essen ist auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Das Servicepersonal führt einen, wenn gewünscht, durch die persische Küche und ist stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich wertgeschätzt und gut aufgehoben.

Schandis begeisterte uns mit einem exquisiten 3-Gänge-Menü. Die Vorspeisenplatte übertraf alle Erwartungen, die Grillspieße waren zart und saftig, begleitet von einem geschmorten Gericht voller Nostalgie.Das Dessert war eine authentische Verkörperung iranischer Süßspeisen. Der Service war herzlich und aufmerksam, das Timing zwischen den Gängen perfekt abgestimmt. Vielen Dank ans Schandis Team!

Ich war zum ersten Mal in Schandis, dieses Restaurant ist nicht zu toppen. Es war einfach toll, so ein persisches Essen hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr, man kann es bestimmt sagen, dass das Essen so gut ist wie im Iran, wenn nicht sogar besser. Die Bedienung war ebenfalls 1A, sehr aufmerksam, höflich und sehr professionell. Auf jedenfalls sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Wir waren zu Zweit am Sonntag Abend im Schandis und hatten eine gemischte Vorspeise und Geschmortes als Hauptgericht. Beides war vorzüglich. Sehr gute Qualität und außergewöhnlicher Geschmack. Auch der Service war perfekt. Das Restaurant hat eine angenehme und niveauvolle Atmosphäre. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Inwieweit die persische Küche, die im Schandis angeboten wird, authentisch ist, kann ich mangels Vorerfahrung in den jeweiligen Ländern natürlich nicht beurteilen. Wir haben als Paar jedenfalls einen sehr schönen Abend in diesem Lokal verbracht. Angefangen vom angenehmen und gepflegten Ambiente, dem sehr aufmerksamen Personal über den schön eingedeckten Tisch bis zu einem sehr guten Essen (einmal Lammfilet, einmal Auberginen) und einem reellen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Es wird sicherlich nicht bei einem Besuch bleiben.
