Babam in Frankfurt am Main

Babam is a very good Persian restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt. We had several eggplant appetizers and the salad which were all very good. The homemade bread and pickles we're incredible. Draft beer and wine options on the menu. I had chicken dish, shirin polo ba morgh and it was very good and generous portions. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I ate there last Friday. The main course was very good, but the mini salad without salt and oil was disappointing and far too expensive for €7. Prices generally too high. Nevertheless, I can recommend it.

I was on vacation visiting some friends in Frankfurt, Needed to do some shopping before going back to my friends, When I ran into this place I felt nostalgic, And I also had to admit, it felt good to be able to use my Farsi to talk to people, because every time I tried to speak German nothing came out of my throat, The food and drinks were nice and it really brought be back on a trip of memory lane eating the food my parents would make or hearing stories from when my parents lived in Iran.

An amazing find in central Frankfurt, close to the business district. Delicious food, excellent service and clearly a kitchen that knows how to cook! We had the starters plate, the lemonade and the Bademjan; one with aubergines and the other with lamb. Everything was excellent. Loved the presentation and the small gestures of generous lime/ lemon, cheese and garnishes. Will definitely visit them, next time I'm in Frankfurt.

The Persian food tastes very tasty. We really got to know it five years ago at BABAM. Since then, however, portions have become smaller and prices have risen significantly.

Ambience chic. The homemade bread was so delicious. Homemade lemonade as well. The skewers were delicious, but the rice was unfortunately dry. Still a great restaurant.

Fantastic food and service. Tried out Persian food after a very, very long time. Was so happy we came here. The bread with cheese, herbs and the mint chutney was fabulous. The kababs were so tender and tasty, yummy. The meat curry with rice was flavorful and tender. Loved it. Wish we had more time here to try more dishes. Despite it being a rush time, packed with customers, the servers were genuinely helpful and very nice.

Wir zu dritt dort. Leider war es wieder extrem laut. Finde das Preis/Leistung passt nicht. Im Ingwer Minze Tee waren drei dünne Scheiben Ingwer. Der Falafel Humus Teller ist stark Ausbaufähig.

Very tasty, authentic cuisine, lovely service. Lively, happy atmosphere. And I ordered a portion of the torshi to take home. The only downer: Please get a lighting designer to do the lighting! The price at 62 Eu for 2 people was very reasonable. See you soon!

Had dinner here one evening while in Frankfurt. The aubergine and lamb stew and sesame bread were very tasty, although the stew was a little salty. Prices were reasonable and the service was very good. As other reviews have said, the ambience is not as good - it has more of the ambience of a fast food restaurant. Would recommend to someone who is staying close by, but wouldn’t necessarily go back.

Compared to other Iranian restaurants, the food is more expensive but of poorer quality. The rice = fat!

Delicious food but unfortunately very expensive when compared to other Persian restaurants in Frankfurt.

I was surprised at how delicious the sandwich was (with yogurt, chilli sauce, great mix of vegetables). Employees are friendly and quick. Dessert (rice pudding) was also great (tasty and decorative). Water, cola, tea, 2 sandwiches + a dessert: 43 EUR, I think that's great too.

I recently visited Babam, and I can confidently say it’s the best Iranian food I’ve had in Europe! The bread, freshly made in their oven, is absolutely delicious and pairs perfectly with their dishes. They also serve noon va paneer va sabzi, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Every bite was a true taste of Iran. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a great meal. I would return to Frankfurt just to dine here again. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is more than wonderful and, in my opinion, the best kebab in Germany. Among the few Iranian restaurants, they have their own baker for Iranian bread.

You can't say bad things. I've been there 50 times already. The food always tastes just as good. Service is always great. If you really want to go one better, go to Mamam in Offenbach, I think they belong together too. That tops everything again.

Top service, well-made rice almost reaches perfection and the grilled lamb is very well done.

The food is great here, really delicious, with tender meat and flavourful. On top of it all they make the flatbread fresh here and it smells amazing too. Only downside is that it’s a little cramped in there, but the service is also great.

The prices is a bit high. Quality of food was OK but not very good. You have very few options for desert. But the service is very good and children friendly

Eating to go is just as expensive as eating locally. Although 7 percent VAT applies here instead of the usual 19 percent. When I asked if there was a discount for pickup, people laughed at me. For example, every Indian or Thai person gets a mango lassi on the house. The restaurant should rethink its pricing policy. 25€ for a to-go meal is a bit steep…

Tonight I wanted to enchant my girlfriend with Iranian cuisine. When I arrived, everything went pretty quickly. I had a really good experience here, but I have to say that the food was too salty. The minced meat skewers smelled a bit spoiled. For €20 I would have expected better quality. That's why I then decided to order from Kish on Leipziger, where I have to say my money was well spent. It's really a shame about the loss of quality. The food is now in the trash, even a homeless person didn't want it. It is very annoying that my hard earned money was wasted.

As a Persian who spends a lot of time in Frankfurt finding the best barg kebap, I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. Freshly baked bread and symphony of spices will come at you at once and make you spend all your Sundays there. We Persians are known for our hospitality in the world so I won't need to tell that you would be greeted by the staff since you put your foot in the restaurant. The neighborhood could be a little bit rough ( bahnhofviertel 😫) but when you are in, you are in another atmosphere😉 Five stars wouldn't be enough but that's all that Google offers😁

Precios indignantes para un lugar que solía ser nuestro restaurante familiar favorito. La comida sigue siendo buena, pero un aumento del 30 % es indignante. Incluso las salsas que solían ser parte del servicio ahora cuestan 1 € y hay que dar propina incluso para una comida para llevar. Estamos en Frankfurt, no en Estados Unidos, y diciendo eso, una parte horrible de Frankfurt (tampoco como el restaurante mantienen su pavimento limpio). Impactante y sin duda el último tîme que habremos visitado.

The courteous staff gave us a warm welcome. As a small gift from the house, there was free, freshly baked flatbread with sheep's cheese and mint - a delicious combination that started the lunch perfectly. The authentic Persian dishes are an absolute highlight. I particularly liked the juicy meat and the delicious rice. Every dish was prepared with a lot of love and tasted like an absolute experience. I can recommend the Babam Restaurant to anyone who is looking for first-class Persian cuisine and an all-round successful lunch. (Especially because of the lunch specials)

I've been to a few Iranian restaurants and this was unfortunately one of the less good ones. The restaurant has a cold atmosphere, no decoration, unfortunately everything is reminiscent of a canteen, including the noise. When it came to eating, the homemade bread was the best. When you looked at the starter plate you noticed that some of it wasn't homemade and unfortunately for €10 per person the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. We ordered Baghali Polo with lamb shank. The meat smelled strongly of lamb and the broth was not very seasoned. For the price of €77 for two people we would have hoped for more. But the service was great and very friendly.

Went there again for a while and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The starter plate for 2 people was tiny, a joke for €21. There wasn't even enough for two falafels, one was shared. The prices for the main course were increased considerably; we paid just under €30 for a plate of soft rice with a thin lamb skewer and a dry chicken skewer, for which we had to wait longer than 45 minutes. Quality has visibly decreased. With the best will in the world I can't explain the prices. Service was annoyed that we had asked for another knife. Afterwards I had stomach problems. All in all, there are better ways to find the same food for less money and better quality in Frankfurt.

With a delicious blend of spices, the food is tasty, fresh and healthy. It also comes quite fast. The place is rather small with a family friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and helpful when you ask questions about the menu. At the end of your meal, when they ask you if you enjoyed it, they humbly appreciate a compliment with a smile.

Great Persian restaurant in the center of Frnakfurt am Main. The restaurant is located near the main train station and can be easily reached by public transport. Limited public parking spaces available in the area. Staff very friendly and quick. Large menu with fair prices. Selected dishes very tasty and freshly prepared.
