Unfortunately very bad service. I usually come every week to eat or drink but this time I was extremely disappointed by the staff. The colleague said that we should wait, then nothing came for 15 minutes. We had to contact us and then the table was supposedly reserved. During this time another table became available and was suddenly reserved. I just got the feeling that we weren't wanted. I find that very unfortunate. For this reason I will no longer visit this restaurant.

The service here has to be experienced. Half the tables were empty outside at 11:55 on a Saturday. Took 18 minutes for one of the 3 outside staff to grace me with their presence as they were too occupied standing around or carrying seat covers from one end of the sun deck to the other. After asking to be served twice after 5 and 10 minutes I gave up and enjoyed the sun. Ordered a coffee and avocado chicken for breakfast. Another 3 minutes go byand I am then told breakfast has finished. After mentioning I arrived before 12:00 waitress said so you still want the coffee while looking somewhere else. Took the coffee which was served in a small glass for a big price, paid and left. No idea if the food is any good but service was -10. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Nice place for breakfast, there are enough seats inside, but also on the beautiful terrace outside. The selection is great, the food is served quickly and is flawless. The selection of drinks is really great, there are different types of Chai Latte with different flavors. The ambience invites you to linger, so a delicious breakfast can turn into a delicious lunch with an aperitif. The service is friendly and attentive. It's not for nothing that I don't come here for the first time.

Nice clean and spacious rooms in a quiet area. Nice and helpful staff. Accommodation and check-in is online. The hotel does not have a parking lot, but a few meters from the hotel there is a parking garage for 30 euros. The hotel also offers breakfast for less than 18 euros per person

You can't beat it for stupidity! We were sitting inside and I moved my chair to the broad side of the table. A super stupid waitress tried to tell me that my chair was blocking the corridor. I sat with my back to a 5m long corridor. Serving doesn't just mean bringing the order and getting a tip... Of course we left straight away and will never come back. P.S. Oh, by the way! When walking out onto the terrace there is a half-height step. If someone falls in an emergency, they will block the exit and be crushed. But my chair supposedly made the corridor narrower than 1.5m... Since I got a totally nonsensical answer, I have to write again. P 1. My wife tripped herself, so we only noticed the step. The staff knows their stuff, so they don't stumble. 2. The corridor was in no way blocked! 5m distance is 3 times as much as desired. It is therefore rather strange that the author of the answer cannot even read properly. 3. I just read the comment of another user who stumbled and even wanted to call the police. 4. Sometimes an apology is enough. If you persist in stupidity and stubbornness, things will get worse... 5. It's no coincidence that so many give grades 1/5

Instead of an apology, the company also wants to appear clever. What a user writes about half the stage is completely correct. I myself stumbled on the way out. I wanted to call the police straight away, but my husband persuaded me wrongly. So I have to assume that the user is also right about the corridor. In this case, stupidity is not an insult, but a fact. I don't know who answers the comments, but if he also chooses the staff, it's completely normal for everything to go wrong. My congratulations to the owner!

Top hotel in a top location. There is almost no better alternative for a stay in Nuremberg! Uncomplicated check-in, very clean rooms. Thank you.

If in an almost empty restaurant with three employees behind the counter no one feels compelled to take an order, and you are then cheekily insulted as you leave because you have probably just interrupted something important (mobile phone...)... it is sad but true that you can unfortunately no longer go to Paul as usual every time you stroll through town... it's a shame!

The food was great, but the service was initially outrageous...but luckily she got off work and then the service was great. ...if Izmir can look for the table and then sit down with water even if the table hasn't been cleaned yet, I really don't have to hear that it would be cool to choose a clean table next time. It would be cool if you did your job promptly and didn't just chat with friends. But as I said, the service was great afterwards...

We were here for lunch last Saturday…the conditions were very friendly, food tasted very good. Nice atmosphere on the terrace. We'll be back.

A hotel in the city center of Nuremberg, well located, but it was far too loud for us. The breakfast was good and more than plentiful, unfortunately the service could not meet the requirements.

Do not (try to) dine here if you are a solo traveler! Made a reservation for brunch, checked in at the bar and told them I would sit out on the balcony. Many other people sitting out there, and still plenty of empty tables. Now I know why. A waiter brought me a menu. I waited 15 minutes and no one came to my table. I went inside and reminded them I was ready to order. Waited 5 more minutes, no one came to my table and I could see waitstaff doing side work, not busy. Went inside to return my menu. A waitress said she could serve me if I sat at the bar. No, the weather is lovely, plenty others are seated outside. Don’t waste your time.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the service on our last visit. When we made the reservation, we expressly asked not to be seated at a table directly by the door. However, this request was not taken into account when we arrived. Despite repeated requests on site and the fact that an alternative table would have been available, no solution was offered. We would have been willing to wait a few minutes to get a more suitable seat, but that wasn't offered to us either. So we ended up having to sit at a table right by the door, where it felt uncomfortably cold due to the constant opening and the overall experience was significantly affected. The behavior of the shift management was particularly disappointing, as it seemed unaccommodating and not particularly solution-oriented. The waiter in charge, on the other hand, was friendly and tried hard, but unfortunately couldn't do much in this situation due to his position. Overall, this stay was so disappointing for us that we decided not to visit the restaurant again in the future.

We were there for breakfast. The service was very good and also nice. The breakfast selection is limited, but very well prepared and very tasty. The prices were quite high, but the positives outweighed this. Great restaurant.

Very nice restaurant, went there for a nightcap. After ordering (Espresso Martini) we were informed that the coffee machine was already out. Always a terrible sentence 🙄 But the “substitute” Negroni was still good and the waitress was also very friendly.

Great service and delicious cocktails. The desserts are also fantastic. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, as you can sit outside with patio heaters. Really great. We really felt very comfortable.

I really like going to the hotel/restaurant in the summer to have a drink. It's a super cozy place with great drinks and a wonderful view of the river. Due to the central location I can't complain at all. Restaurants or bars can be reached in a few minutes on foot, the room service was there in the morning and cleaned the room very satisfactorily and provided new towels.

The location of the hotel is great. Checking in using the app was very relaxed and easy. The rooms were very nice and modernly furnished. It was the perfect accommodation for our group. The staff from the hotel and restaurant were very accommodating and friendly. Recommend it to everyone! 😊

We went to the restaurant dasPaul on a Saturday to take a break after a stroll through the city in the afternoon. We ordered various coffee specialties and a piece of chocolate truffle cake. The drinks were delicious and the cake was to die for. The service staff is on the ball, nice and friendly. Would recommend a visit at any time.

I went in the winter so the experience was indoors which was cozy but I was told that in the summer the outdoor area with a view of the river is simply something I have to do, so I will be back. The gnocchi with shrimp was very tasty. We were served kindly and had a pleasant evening. I will be back in the summer. 🥰

Online check-in with “key on your cell phone” worked perfectly and was completely relaxed. Checking in with the friendly staff wouldn't have been a problem either. The hotel is in the pedestrian zone - in a top location - but the parking garage is only a short distance away. By the way, a great view of Nuremberg from the Adler car park on the 7th floor - parking there is worth twice as much. :) Bathroom very small, but everything else was TOP and therefore not a problem. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast in the in-house café was also TOP - thank you very much!!!

The location is absolutely great, the rooms have everything you need and are super clean. The team is always helpful, even with special requests, and you really feel like you're in good hands here! Nice and quiet on the river side (and in all rooms in winter). Any time.

Rooms very small!!! Double room not suitable for families. Bathrooms full of hair, showers dirty. However, breakfast is highly recommended. Top location. It's a shame about the room.

Update after 3, disappointing visits again: If you can't do poached eggs anymore, don't offer them! Medium boiled eggs are not poached eggs, don't kid your customers. 3 hot drinks, all 3 lukewarm, as well as the 3 toasts - half-cold food doesn't work at all. Where has your commitment gone? Pretty decorations are nice to have, but that's not enough. Nice service isn't enough either. Get better. Please. Simply: man, you can eat deliciously! Lovingly, creatively, prepared with passion - great!

First of all: only the restaurant is rated Probably the supervisor table reservation manager walks around the store busy and talking on the phone with a tablet and gives you the feeling of being part of something really big, but that's it... The last time I sat on a chair like this, I ate playdough, it was in kindergarten. Who thinks up something like that? The service's hit rate was catastrophic - out of 5 orders, 4 were forgotten or sent incorrectly, but he tried hard, was nice and smart, which is something... The food was ok, but the cleanliness of the toilets was not.

Was only in the restaurant. Really good, super furnished. But the chairs are uncomfortable and not for people over 1.80.

I wouldn't even give one star. I have on November 18th. We reserved a table for 15 people by email for December 26th at 10 p.m. and also received a confirmation that they had approved the reservation. Then I wanted to call in advance to see if we could come a little earlier and they said that no table had been reserved was on the name and that apparently no confirmation was sent out, even though I had received a confirmation by email. The employee wanted to call back and after the MA called, they said it was no longer possible because they wanted to close at 10 p.m. anyway, even though the Paul was open until midnight according to the opening times. The MA, on the other hand, said he would clarify it again with someone and put us on hold for so long. After waiting for 2 minutes, we simply hung up and didn't call back, no one came to us with a solution, absolute cheek!

Hervorheben des kleinen Mankos und der positiven Aspekte Die Pizza mit scharfer Salami in "DasPaul" war geschmacklich ein Highlight, bis auf einen kleinen, zu weichen Fleck im Teig. Das Ambiente war stilvoll und einladend, untermalt von entspannter Musik. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Insgesamt eine positive Erfahrung mit einem kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag.

Yesterday (12/22/24) I was in this bar and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Although the opening hours are stated until 10 p.m., the doors were closed to outside guests at 9 p.m. No one could come in, and the people who wanted to go in left disappointed. When I asked the staff why, the employee couldn't give me a plausible explanation as to why it was closed so early. We even had to pay shortly before 9 p.m., and the last round was also before 9 p.m. This is really poor service and a disgrace to customers who rely on the stated opening times. Behavior like this leaves me with the impression that customer satisfaction doesn't play a role here. Very disappointing - I will think twice about visiting this bar again in the future.

I absolutely love this cafe! The ambience is simply amazing – cozy, modern and yet inviting. The service is outstanding! The waiter was incredibly personable, attentive and immediately made you feel at home. And the food – simply fantastic! Every bite was a delight. I can only warmly recommend this café and give it five stars without hesitation!

We had a room on the fourth floor. Very nicely decorated with huge bathroom. The staff at Paul are all remarkably friendly. A big compliment to the staff. Breakfast is available at Paul from the breakfast menu :-) that was something different and super tasty!!' Thank you for the lovely stay 👍🏻💯

A few weeks ago I wanted to stop by the Paul restaurant when a lady came towards us and asked if we had a reservation. I said no and took a quick look to see how full it was. In the meantime, new guests were already arriving to look after them took care of it and completely ignored us. She then showed the new guests to their seats while we assumed she was taking care of us because we got there first. When I called after the lady, she totally ignored us and kept walking. Therefore it was the first and last time

Great location right in the city center! View of the castle from the bed, at least from our room. The Top Avo and Veggie Chicken Coop breakfast was extremely delicious! We found the service in the restaurant very pleasant and friendly. If we are in Nuremberg again, we will definitely stay there again!

We ate at the restaurant only and were unfortunately placed beside the door - it was too cold! Then our server must have forgotten about us cause we didn’t order for 20 mins. Worse yet, our food didn’t come for another 45 mins - and part way thru our Wait a group of 12 very loud ppl came in and sat a couple of tables away. We couldn’t have a conversation amoung the 3 of us! You think das paul would clue in that we were cold (we kept our jackets on the whole time) hungry and annoyed by the group and move us to a better spot. ….

La comida fue genial una vez que finalmente lo conseguimos. 🤨 Nuestra mesa estaba justo al lado de la puerta, así que nos congelamos todo el tiempo mientras esperábamos nuestra comida. Si eso no era lo suficientemente inconveniente, 30 minutos después de nuestra reserva (no hay comida todavía) un grupo de 12 pl entró y se sentó a 2 mesas de la nuestra. Eran tan ruidosos que no podíamos tener una conversación entre nosotros tres. Como Paul podría haber considerado trasladar al gran grupo ruidoso a una sala de fiestas o tal vez ser lo suficientemente considerado para reubicar a los clientes más tranquilos, que tenían hambre y frío, en un lugar mejor, había espacio abajo después de todo.

I had been at the Paul for a few years, which was already underwhelming. This time it was an absolute nightmare. I reserved a TABLE for a date and when I arrived my reservation seemed to have been forgotten because we were sitting in a small room facing the water on a small high table. That's not a bad thing in itself, but it was so dark and stuffy that the ambience and well-being suffered. I simply could hardly see the person opposite me. You notice that the concept here is quantity instead of quality! We ordered a cloverleaf pizza (arugula, burrata, sun-dried tomatoes), a Ziegenpeter pizza (goat cheese, caramelized walnuts, figs) and two Homeade Ice drinks. The pizza was really extremely small, which I don't think is justified at a price of €15 as the quality is not outstanding. The drinks, which cost €8, also consist of half decoration and ice cubes. The service was also totally rude, you had to wait forever for your food and drinks. As soon as the food was brought, the waitress just came to collect it. Although so many rave about Paul, I think it is one of the worst restaurants in downtown Nuremberg.

The restaurant serves good pizzas and cocktails. The service was fine. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is a little inconsistent and the low, closely spaced chairs in the restaurant create a somewhat squashed atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We had a perfect view of the bridge and old town. The rooms are sleek and modern. We booked a double premium room and it was the perfect amount of space for two people. We had a private balcony overlooking the river too. Mobile check-in/check-out was easy and convenient. We were in quite the bind the morning of our departure and needed train tickets printed at 6:30 in the morning. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, but she was very helpful and a life saver. Very pleased with our stay here! 10/10 would recommend.

The cake and cappuccino were not good. Really bad taste for the price. Service also very slow. You can find much better quality everywhere else You pay a lot for the location in the middle of the city

Nice location in the middle of the old town, great outdoor area. It invites you to linger even in the cold German autumn: blankets and radiant heaters warm from the outside, Hot Aperol from the inside.

Cleanliness and smell left a lot to be desired. Also underground customer service. A forgotten sweater could not be found for the time being. After asking urgently, he was suddenly able to find it. The 20€ additional charge for insured shipping was justified by the effort and materials. It was shipped in a trash bag in a torn, used box. And the effort would have been the same for an uninsured package.

Absolutely bad, unfriendly service.

I've been going to Paul Supper regularly for years and have always been very satisfied. Apparently there has been a change in personnel for about six months, with a lot of young staff. The waiting times have become a lot longer - it takes a long time for someone to come to take the order. As soon as you have gotten drinks and food, no one comes and asks if everything is still okay or if you have anything else you want. The staff sees that customers make eye contact with them to order something, but they much prefer to talk to their colleagues. The staff is sometimes very unfriendly. It's very cool and drafty in the restaurant - last time we sat there with a winter jacket. If you ask the staff about it, they won't even close the door. In addition, there have been new chairs and tables for some time now that you almost have to sit on the floor because they are so low. There is hardly any space because everything is so close to the neighboring table. I think it's a shame and unfortunately I can no longer recommend Paul!

The room is very nice and big. There is a small, very well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean. Checkin and checkout are done online, you don't need to talk to anyone, but if you have any questions you can write to them by email or WhatsApp and they will respond instantly. The location is unbeatable, 5 minutes walk from the Frauenkirche and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. As for the restaurant, it has a very cool terrace, with views of the river. The service was very friendly and attentive at all times if we needed anything.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the Pegnitz, the staff is fit and friendly. I came by for the good food and also for a beer because the Stiftungsbräu Hell tastes really great. Now Stiftungsbräu has been replaced by Erdinger 😳…. that tastes way worse. Why are you doing this? Yes, taste can be... it still doesn't taste good. Please undo this 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stylishly furnished ambience with a view of the Pegnitz. We were there for brunch. There was a diverse selection of menu options, both vegan/vegetarian and fish/meat. The drinks menu is very diverse, everyone will find something here. The quality of the food was wonderful and the presentation/decoration was very thoughtful. The service was very friendly. All in all, a wonderful place to have a relaxed brunch.

For professional reasons I spent four nights at the Hotel dasPaul. At first it was a bit unusual to check in digitally without any human contact, but in the end it was very easy (and I would have had the opportunity to ask for help via the restaurant). Overall, I can warmly recommend the hotel and the restaurant and hope that it won't be the last time there.

I chose Das Paul Hotel for its spacious accommodations and location. We booked a suite with three separate rooms, two facing the street and one with a beautiful river view. The suite was well-equipped with a full kitchen and all the necessary utensils. The location was fantastic—close to the U-Bahn, making it easy to explore the city. I wish I had stayed here during my first visit! I also appreciated the option of a digital keycard, which made access super convenient. The river view ensured a peaceful atmosphere, though the street-facing room experienced some noise in the mornings due to nearby deliveries. Checkout was a breeze through their digital portal. Overall, a fantastic hotel experience.

Die Ziegenkäse Pizza war leider zu kurz im Ofen und dadurch zäh wie Leder. Und die Ziegenkäse Stücke sind im Meer von Pizzaschmelzkäse untergegangen. Ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis.

Modern, clean rooms in the middle of the old town. No breakfast buffet, but a very extensive selection of different, rich breakfast options. When the weather is good you can sit on the terrace right by the water. There is no elevator, but if you don't arrive with steamer suitcases, that's bearable. Any time!

Visited today. Even though the store wasn't even half full, we had to experience very unfriendly service. She reacted to everything in a very stressed manner. We were served by a stronger Asian lady.

Positiv zu vermerken ist, dass es eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss gibt, die uns dazu verleitet hat, dorthin zu gehen. Der Nachteil ist, dass das Gericht auf einem kaputten Teller serviert wurde und nicht der Menübeschreibung entsprach. Das Servieren hat lange gedauert, aber das Personal war nett.
