Update after 3, disappointing visits again: If you can't do poached eggs anymore, don't offer them! Medium boiled eggs are not poached eggs, don't kid your customers. 3 hot drinks, all 3 lukewarm, as well as the 3 toasts - half-cold food doesn't work at all. Where has your commitment gone? Pretty decorations are nice to have, but that's not enough. Nice service isn't enough either. Get better. Please. Simply: man, you can eat deliciously! Lovingly, creatively, prepared with passion - great!

First of all: only the restaurant is rated Probably the supervisor table reservation manager walks around the store busy and talking on the phone with a tablet and gives you the feeling of being part of something really big, but that's it... The last time I sat on a chair like this, I ate playdough, it was in kindergarten. Who thinks up something like that? The service's hit rate was catastrophic - out of 5 orders, 4 were forgotten or sent incorrectly, but he tried hard, was nice and smart, which is something... The food was ok, but the cleanliness of the toilets was not.

Was only in the restaurant. Really good, super furnished. But the chairs are uncomfortable and not for people over 1.80.

Hervorheben des kleinen Mankos und der positiven Aspekte Die Pizza mit scharfer Salami in "DasPaul" war geschmacklich ein Highlight, bis auf einen kleinen, zu weichen Fleck im Teig. Das Ambiente war stilvoll und einladend, untermalt von entspannter Musik. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Insgesamt eine positive Erfahrung mit einem kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag.

I wouldn't even give one star. I have on November 18th. We reserved a table for 15 people by email for December 26th at 10 p.m. and also received a confirmation that they had approved the reservation. Then I wanted to call in advance to see if we could come a little earlier and they said that no table had been reserved was on the name and that apparently no confirmation was sent out, even though I had received a confirmation by email. The employee wanted to call back and after the MA called, they said it was no longer possible because they wanted to close at 10 p.m. anyway, even though the Paul was open until midnight according to the opening times. The MA, on the other hand, said he would clarify it again with someone and put us on hold for so long. After waiting for 2 minutes, we simply hung up and didn't call back, no one came to us with a solution, absolute cheek!

Superb, staff met us before entering, super nice, very informative, apartment was great, clean kitchen, breakfast provided was above and beyond!

Yesterday (12/22/24) I was in this bar and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Although the opening hours are stated until 10 p.m., the doors were closed to outside guests at 9 p.m. No one could come in, and the people who wanted to go in left disappointed. When I asked the staff why, the employee couldn't give me a plausible explanation as to why it was closed so early. We even had to pay shortly before 9 p.m., and the last round was also before 9 p.m. This is really poor service and a disgrace to customers who rely on the stated opening times. Behavior like this leaves me with the impression that customer satisfaction doesn't play a role here. Very disappointing - I will think twice about visiting this bar again in the future.

I absolutely love this cafe! The ambience is simply amazing – cozy, modern and yet inviting. The service is outstanding! The waiter was incredibly personable, attentive and immediately made you feel at home. And the food – simply fantastic! Every bite was a delight. I can only warmly recommend this café and give it five stars without hesitation!

We had a room on the fourth floor. Very nicely decorated with huge bathroom. The staff at Paul are all remarkably friendly. A big compliment to the staff. Breakfast is available at Paul from the breakfast menu :-) that was something different and super tasty!!' Thank you for the lovely stay 👍🏻💯

A few weeks ago I wanted to stop by the Paul restaurant when a lady came towards us and asked if we had a reservation. I said no and took a quick look to see how full it was. In the meantime, new guests were already arriving to look after them took care of it and completely ignored us. She then showed the new guests to their seats while we assumed she was taking care of us because we got there first. When I called after the lady, she totally ignored us and kept walking. Therefore it was the first and last time

Great location right in the city center! View of the castle from the bed, at least from our room. The Top Avo and Veggie Chicken Coop breakfast was extremely delicious! We found the service in the restaurant very pleasant and friendly. If we are in Nuremberg again, we will definitely stay there again!

La comida fue genial una vez que finalmente lo conseguimos. 🤨 Nuestra mesa estaba justo al lado de la puerta, así que nos congelamos todo el tiempo mientras esperábamos nuestra comida. Si eso no era lo suficientemente inconveniente, 30 minutos después de nuestra reserva (no hay comida todavía) un grupo de 12 pl entró y se sentó a 2 mesas de la nuestra. Eran tan ruidosos que no podíamos tener una conversación entre nosotros tres. Como Paul podría haber considerado trasladar al gran grupo ruidoso a una sala de fiestas o tal vez ser lo suficientemente considerado para reubicar a los clientes más tranquilos, que tenían hambre y frío, en un lugar mejor, había espacio abajo después de todo.

I had been at the Paul for a few years, which was already underwhelming. This time it was an absolute nightmare. I reserved a TABLE for a date and when I arrived my reservation seemed to have been forgotten because we were sitting in a small room facing the water on a small high table. That's not a bad thing in itself, but it was so dark and stuffy that the ambience and well-being suffered. I simply could hardly see the person opposite me. You notice that the concept here is quantity instead of quality! We ordered a cloverleaf pizza (arugula, burrata, sun-dried tomatoes), a Ziegenpeter pizza (goat cheese, caramelized walnuts, figs) and two Homeade Ice drinks. The pizza was really extremely small, which I don't think is justified at a price of €15 as the quality is not outstanding. The drinks, which cost €8, also consist of half decoration and ice cubes. The service was also totally rude, you had to wait forever for your food and drinks. As soon as the food was brought, the waitress just came to collect it. Although so many rave about Paul, I think it is one of the worst restaurants in downtown Nuremberg.

We ate at the restaurant only and were unfortunately placed beside the door - it was too cold! Then our server must have forgotten about us cause we didn’t order for 20 mins. Worse yet, our food didn’t come for another 45 mins - and part way thru our Wait a group of 12 very loud ppl came in and sat a couple of tables away. We couldn’t have a conversation amoung the 3 of us! You think das paul would clue in that we were cold (we kept our jackets on the whole time) hungry and annoyed by the group and move us to a better spot. ….

The restaurant serves good pizzas and cocktails. The service was fine. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is a little inconsistent and the low, closely spaced chairs in the restaurant create a somewhat squashed atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our stay here! We had a perfect view of the bridge and old town. The rooms are sleek and modern. We booked a double premium room and it was the perfect amount of space for two people. We had a private balcony overlooking the river too. Mobile check-in/check-out was easy and convenient. We were in quite the bind the morning of our departure and needed train tickets printed at 6:30 in the morning. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, but she was very helpful and a life saver. Very pleased with our stay here! 10/10 would recommend.

The cake and cappuccino were not good. Really bad taste for the price. Service also very slow. You can find much better quality everywhere else You pay a lot for the location in the middle of the city

Nice location in the middle of the old town, great outdoor area. It invites you to linger even in the cold German autumn: blankets and radiant heaters warm from the outside, Hot Aperol from the inside.

Cleanliness and smell left a lot to be desired. Also underground customer service. A forgotten sweater could not be found for the time being. After asking urgently, he was suddenly able to find it. The 20€ additional charge for insured shipping was justified by the effort and materials. It was shipped in a trash bag in a torn, used box. And the effort would have been the same for an uninsured package.

I've been going to Paul Supper regularly for years and have always been very satisfied. Apparently there has been a change in personnel for about six months, with a lot of young staff. The waiting times have become a lot longer - it takes a long time for someone to come to take the order. As soon as you have gotten drinks and food, no one comes and asks if everything is still okay or if you have anything else you want. The staff sees that customers make eye contact with them to order something, but they much prefer to talk to their colleagues. The staff is sometimes very unfriendly. It's very cool and drafty in the restaurant - last time we sat there with a winter jacket. If you ask the staff about it, they won't even close the door. In addition, there have been new chairs and tables for some time now that you almost have to sit on the floor because they are so low. There is hardly any space because everything is so close to the neighboring table. I think it's a shame and unfortunately I can no longer recommend Paul!

The room is very nice and big. There is a small, very well equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean. Checkin and checkout are done online, you don't need to talk to anyone, but if you have any questions you can write to them by email or WhatsApp and they will respond instantly. The location is unbeatable, 5 minutes walk from the Frauenkirche and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. As for the restaurant, it has a very cool terrace, with views of the river. The service was very friendly and attentive at all times if we needed anything.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the Pegnitz, the staff is fit and friendly. I came by for the good food and also for a beer because the Stiftungsbräu Hell tastes really great. Now Stiftungsbräu has been replaced by Erdinger 😳…. that tastes way worse. Why are you doing this? Yes, taste can be... it still doesn't taste good. Please undo this 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stylishly furnished ambience with a view of the Pegnitz. We were there for brunch. There was a diverse selection of menu options, both vegan/vegetarian and fish/meat. The drinks menu is very diverse, everyone will find something here. The quality of the food was wonderful and the presentation/decoration was very thoughtful. The service was very friendly. All in all, a wonderful place to have a relaxed brunch.

For professional reasons I spent four nights at the Hotel dasPaul. At first it was a bit unusual to check in digitally without any human contact, but in the end it was very easy (and I would have had the opportunity to ask for help via the restaurant). Overall, I can warmly recommend the hotel and the restaurant and hope that it won't be the last time there.

I chose Das Paul Hotel for its spacious accommodations and location. We booked a suite with three separate rooms, two facing the street and one with a beautiful river view. The suite was well-equipped with a full kitchen and all the necessary utensils. The location was fantastic—close to the U-Bahn, making it easy to explore the city. I wish I had stayed here during my first visit! I also appreciated the option of a digital keycard, which made access super convenient. The river view ensured a peaceful atmosphere, though the street-facing room experienced some noise in the mornings due to nearby deliveries. Checkout was a breeze through their digital portal. Overall, a fantastic hotel experience.

Die Ziegenkäse Pizza war leider zu kurz im Ofen und dadurch zäh wie Leder. Und die Ziegenkäse Stücke sind im Meer von Pizzaschmelzkäse untergegangen. Ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis.

Modern, clean rooms in the middle of the old town. No breakfast buffet, but a very extensive selection of different, rich breakfast options. When the weather is good you can sit on the terrace right by the water. There is no elevator, but if you don't arrive with steamer suitcases, that's bearable. Any time!

Positiv zu vermerken ist, dass es eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss gibt, die uns dazu verleitet hat, dorthin zu gehen. Der Nachteil ist, dass das Gericht auf einem kaputten Teller serviert wurde und nicht der Menübeschreibung entsprach. Das Servieren hat lange gedauert, aber das Personal war nett.

We really enjoyed our stay at Das Paul. The room was huge and clean. The AC was a major plus since it was quite hot while we were in Nuremburg. There is no lift, so be prepared to carry luggage up the stairs! Great location and great drinks at the restaurant.

Everything was top notch - the included breakfast (1 hot dish from the menu) was very good! We particularly appreciated the air conditioning in the room and the coffee maker. Very clean. The online check-in was great. If you have a lot of luggage, you should definitely want a room on the 2nd floor, as there is no elevator and administration on the 1st floor.

My boyfriend and I visit this restaurant frequently and have always been happy with the food and service. But yesterday I was just disappointed: the sweet potato dish I ordered was burnt and black. The waiter said it was a type of potato that was always served fried. But that's not true, I know what it should look like! We didn't eat it, but this dish was included in the bill. A very unpleasant residue remained after visiting this restaurant!!!!.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Paul on Saturday with 23 people and I'm really disappointed. I spent two months writing to the person responsible for events, saying that it was going to be a surprise party, that we would like to have an aperitif to toast in advance, that we needed a high chair, that I was bringing a birthday cake, etc. None of this ultimately happened was necessary to discuss. Paul's commitment made it easy to push the necessary tables together. At lunchtime I asked if we could sit on the edge, but unfortunately it wasn't possible. We were then seated in the middle surrounded by other guests. There was no children's chair at the place, decorations could only be made 15 minutes before the party (I bought everything for free), the aperitifs were only ready in time because the surprise person arrived 15 minutes late and no one knew what the cake was I brought these over. At lunchtime I asked that there be a few water bottles on the table because it was 35 degrees. Of course that didn't work either! You had to beg for drinks all evening!!! You had to constantly point out to the service that the glasses were all empty. Four or five people were then asked if they would like something to drink, the rest were ignored. The two blonde waitresses were actually consistently annoyed and rude to some of the guests. Eye rolling included. Completely unprofessional! I can't imagine that a single waiter there is an expert (there were four restaurateurs at the table, including me). Only the food was really good and came quickly and completely! I wasn't told when I booked that the football games would be broadcast. We were surrounded by football fans. That wasn't necessarily dramatic, but something like that should definitely be discussed beforehand! Conclusion: OK for coffee/cocktail drinking, please not for partying. The rooms were ok. Ours was very dark and gloomy. The bed was a disaster! The mattresses were not at the same height and there was a plastic or latex mattress protector under the fitted sheet. Therefore the fitted sheet kept slipping away and was very uncomfortable and you sweated a lot. A baby bed costs €15 extra per night and that's really a disgrace! We travel very often and baby cots are usually free. There are no parking spaces in the city center. The RECOMMENDED parking garage cost us an additional €30 per day. Even though we had a “do not disturb” sign on the door, people still entered our room while we were away. The breakfast in the bar was very tasty. However, the map is not particularly extensive. Certainly boring for a longer stay. The staff was a complete disaster (except the male waiter). Impudent, arrogant and apparently not an expert again. There, children were yelled at, rolled their eyes, and made fun of other guests. It doesn't work at all! The entire principle works across the board as intended and not as intended!

The waitress needs to learn to do the dukedom the good 10 tables outside and we wait 49 minutes poky sour for no reason we left don't go again

Only rate the restaurant DasPaul: Ate a very tasty salad with avocado and scampi, then unfortunately the disappointment - > a long black hair 🤮 (I myself have long blonde hair. It couldn't have been my own.) We mentioned it and got an espresso on the house. Well, considering I had only eaten half of it, okay... Still a chilled out café, cozy outside in the summer. Unfortunately there is chaos with the hoses on the grille. The windows could use a cleaning. Lucas used to be really good, but Paul was really bad.

I've been eating here for years. I love it here, you feel so comfortable and welcome. Super friendly staff and great service. My favorite restaurant when I'm here.

Wir waren heute morgen zu zweit zum Frühstück im dasPaul. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Platz mit Blick auf die Pegnitz. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und die bestellten Getränke und Speisen wurden zügig an den Tisch gebracht. Sehr gut war das Top Avo Toast mit Avocado-Hummus-Creme und perfekt poschierten Eiern. Zu Abzügen führt hier „Pauls Vierlei“. Hier geht Quantität über Qualität. Die Wurst ist bereits optisch als Industrieprodukt aus der Verpackung zu erkennen. Auch der gemischte Käse besteht aus Produkten, die man aus Supermarkt-Regalen kennt. Angesichts der sonst guten Qualität des Essens im dasPaul, ist Pauls Vierlei ein unverständlicher negativer Ausreißer. Weniger Wurst und Käse, dafür aber bessere Qualität (z.B. Wurst von einer lokalen Metzgerei und Käse vom Händler) wäre wünschenswert und auch passender. Unpassend auch der Salat, der Wurst und Käse auf der Platte trennte. Das Dressing machte den Eindruck eines Fertigprodukts. Die ansonsten freundliche Service-Mitarbeiterin schien diese von mir vor Ort geäußerte Kritik persönlich zu nehmen und wirkte etwas unsouverän im Umgang. Aber sie hatte gefragt, ob alles passen würde… Die drei Punkte beziehen sich ausschließlich auf den heutigen Besuch und das Frühstück. Im Übrigen gehen wir gerne in dasPaul und finden das Essen auch gut.

We (2 adults and 2 small children) entered the restaurant. There was a lot of activity. My wife asked if there was a place for us. One woman replied “yes, the children just can’t get in the way”. We just swallowed this statement because we knew that our children were hungry. We then waited for 10 minutes without being served, which was too colorful. It's a shame, we were ready to spend our money there, but then left.

I've always enjoyed going to this restaurant often, but never again since today! Incredibly unfriendly and incompetent service staff. Although we were sitting there peacefully, eating and wanting to enjoy our second drink, the waitress came and literally shouted at us because we were supposedly blocking the escape route on the terrace, especially since the table had three chairs (like all the other small tables). and there were three of us. The ladies with the first names M. & J. were probably having a bad day, so many other guests, including us, were affected by their inappropriate mood. In any case, we will never set foot there again! We will also share this experience with many others.

Everything is great from the food to the service

In summary: The restaurant is worth a trip to Nuremberg. Sensational service, great ambience, fair prices (which are below average for normal restaurants). But all of this only forms a worthy framework for what is actually remarkable: The quality of the food (we had pizza and pasta with octopus) is absolutely outstanding. In terms of taste, they can easily compete with the world champion pizza from Vienna or the best fish restaurants in Italy or Greece. Seldom as enthusiastic as today. Discovered by chance. We were outside under the umbrellas, had a cafe and ate cake. Delicious. However, there was a strawberry on the cheesecake with raspberries, which wasn't good for me as an allergy sufferer. Café is located directly on the Pegnitz. Fast and friendly service. Menu available via QR code.

Da die Geschäfte noch geschlossen waren und es geregnet hat sind wir nur durch Zufall in das Paul und haben uns ein Frühstück geteilt. Avocadobrot mit Tomate Feta und Chicken. Es war so lecker, dass wir auch nach dem Ladenbummel zum Mittagstisch hin sind. Diesmal also mit Vorsatz! Hatten einen leckeren Salat mit Melone und Ziegenkäse und schwarze Nudeln mit super leckeren Oktopus und Garnelen. Das Paul war unser Highlight bei unserem Nürnberg Shoppingbesuch. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.

Dear the Paul team, After my visit today I can say with certainty that it was my last!!! After only 10 minutes a waitress came up to us only to persistently ask us our names. Apparently we were confused with other customers who also have a southern background because we were told that they were actually banned from entering the house. After this incident, our order was still not taken until another waitress came up to us to ask us the same questions. Our order was only taken after 15 minutes. The taste of our penne Arabiatta was also not the same as on previous visits.

Waitress Lisa (according to you the boss) is really very unsympathetic and treats regular customers in an impossible way. This 1 star is entirely your fault.

Dear the Paul team, Unfortunately, today after my weekly visit I was asked to get up and leave. After several clarifications, the five of us were allowed to sit at the table for four. The employee “Lisa” said that she was the boss and had the say. She asked us to leave the store. Unfortunately we had to finish our meal early in a bad mood. However, we were able to continue this warm welcome in Café Barcelona just a corner away. As long as this store is run under “Lisa” management, I will no longer come. I think it's a shame that the service treats a regular customer like this. Perhaps customer-focused training would be necessary. However, this rating only applies to owner “Lisa”. The rest of the staff has been very friendly and accommodating for the last 2-3 years. Best regards

Auf der Suche nach einem feinen Abendessen, sind hier all unsere Wünsche erfüllt worden. Herzlicher Empfang mit fröhlicher Musik. Es gab Salat, Gnocchis und Maihofer Pizza, das können wir wirklich empfehlen. Leider sind wir auf der Durchreise und das Paul liegt nicht um die Ecke.

I do not recommend this restaurant. Two ignorant young blonde waitresses. We sat down at a table where there was no reservation information - one waitress told us we could sit, the other waitress told us we couldn't sit. The time is 4:20 p.m. and the reservation is from 5:30 p.m. The lady who told us that we could stay at the table comes after five minutes and complains “it's not nice that we sat at a reserved table”. The menu is available via QR code. We asked for a paper ticket. The waitress's response: "Don't you have any phones?" I can't believe it." Dear waitresses, I recommend that you change your job in a restaurant to a stable or train as a waitress.

The Restaurant & Hotel dasPaul really blew me away. I had never been to Nuremberg before, so the hotel's heavenly location near the Nuremberg Altstatt was a real blessing. The rooms are impeccably and modernly furnished. The only thing that could be improved is the size of the bathroom and toilet, but that's really a complaint at a high level. The restaurant is also impressive. The service is absolutely friendly and the food has a TOP price-performance ratio. A breakfast costs around €13. Together with a drink you stay under 20€. Quite unusual given the quality of the food. Overall, it really deserves 5 stars. Thank you for the lovely stay here!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant and I have nothing but good things to say! The service was absolutely outstanding. In particular, our waiter, who had brown, curly hair, was extremely courteous and attentive. He listened to our every wish and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. The food was also first class - every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and cozy. I can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

There were two of us eating because we thought "there are a lot of people sitting there, it must be good" We waited forever until we were even served, then the food (2 pizzas) still wasn't there after over an hour. When we asked we were told it would be ready soon, it would arrive in 2 minutes... another 15 minutes later the food actually arrived. The pizza with tuna also tasted quite good, but the pizza maibaum had no taste at all, as if they forgot to season it. We also wanted to complain about it or ask if it was normal. However, no one came again for over half an hour. We had only seen the waitress bringing drinks once throughout the evening, so the evening was pretty dry... when it came to paying, we were accused of saying that we could have told them about the tasteless food ... but no one came anymore... At least we didn't have to pay for the two drinks because they couldn't take the food we left back off the bill.
