Small portions. The food tasted okay.

Unfriendly staff. Had to wait to both order and pay while the staff were supposed to sit and talk to other guests and finish smoking. Even though we had asked nicely for payment.

Hello everyone, let's be honest. I celebrated my birthday with 25 people. I was pleasantly surprised by the service. The food was cooked to perfection and was a real treat. Excellent. Keep up the good work. We'd love to come back.

We wanted to make a reservation for dinner at the campsite restaurant in the afternoon, when the waitress told us everything was full and we should just come by in the evening. In the evening, the waitress was very surprised when we showed up at the restaurant without a reservation, but still tried to get a table. Several people before us had already asked for outside (sunshine), but the lady only said that there would be a storm. After a reservation didn't appear, we got a table for two. The service was very hectic, resolute and we had to choose our drinks quickly. We then had to wait a long time to order our food - when we asked whether the sausage salad was coarse or fine, the waitress was unfortunately unable to provide any information. She said it was a Lyoner without fat. The food came in a reasonable time. The Lyoner was a coarse hunting sausage, and he graciously swapped the cheese spaetzle my husband ordered with me. Unfortunately, they were still very doughy, watery and not cooked through at all. Even the tasteless cheese couldn't change that. I then ate half of it and we asked for the bill. When I asked resolutely whether it was tasty, my husband dared to say. Oh well. He would rather not have done that. “What does Naja mean” - in a coarse tone, Naja means that the sausage salad was coarse, no Lyonnais and the cheese spaetzle were simply still doughy and needed a little more. After discussions, the waitress threw the bill at us (not asking if we wanted something else instead or a dessert or coffee on the house or something similar), we then paid the exact amount and the waitress basically banned us from the house. She made us very clear about her house rules. So - dear Gitzenweiler Hof - you are great, but this service (it was always one, the two young "assistants" were friendly and got a kick-off in front of the entire team) can really ruin your day on vacation. By the way, the people sitting next to us didn't really like it either, so luckily there are other restaurants here. Too bad.

Service takes some getting used to, loveless food. Basically not bad, but not worth a second visit either.

During our vacation at the Gitzenweiler Hof (which is highly recommended and which we would be happy to visit again at any time!), we stayed in the inn on the campsite. In the afternoon the “eloquent” older waitress explained to us that you couldn’t make a reservation outside (somehow understandable because of the weather). Everything inside was full… but we should just come by anyway.. In the evening we were lucky that a reservation for 6 p.m., whose table we got, didn't come through. In retrospect we would have been happy if we hadn't gotten a table... - Service hectic, unfriendly and opinionated… -Kässpatzen not finished, doughy, tasteless, cheese without taste, everything soggy and watery -Sausage salad served with coarse hunting sausage instead of fine Lyonnais as promised… When the lady asked briskly whether it was tasty, I took the liberty of saying what wasn't right... then I was insulted as aggressive and with reference to her house rules (we're still puzzling over whether she wanted to throw us out??) we left after paying the bill... As long as this team runs this restaurant we won't go there anymore... and can really only advise against it...

We ate here on April 17th, 2025 Normally, I like to write a comment if I like a restaurant. However, since I responded to the question about my satisfaction with a personal comment when I paid the bill, a "request" to leave a review on Google is unreasonable for me. Therefore, I only give my personal opinion here and not a review.

Very good food and super nice service

We were in the inn for the first time yesterday. The first impression upon entering was very positive. The inn has a nice atmosphere. Luckily we had a reservation because the restaurant was full. The service was a bit hectic and had a very loose mouth. The menu is very clear. Unfortunately, even the small menu didn't have some side dishes. The food also came after a reasonable wait. Unfortunately, the side dish (potato wedges) for the first dish was cold. The same thing happened again with the next dish (same side dish). The solution was obviously the microwave. Unfortunately, I don't go to the restaurant for that. The really well-fried pieces of meat were positive. Both had good cooking and good seasoning. After the waitress talked about the new chef, the mood was somehow over. I really hope that the new team manages to bring better quality and consistency to the plate. It certainly has potential. Unfortunately there was nothing that evening.

The food was extremely great, we were full straight away and paid very little. Can only be recommended.

Vincenzo has been the new operator since March 2025 and offers delicious German regional cuisine of the best quality. Spaetzle, dumplings handmade with a lot of love! Price performance is completely ok. I go there often and look forward to the fine dishes. There will be several weekly promotions during the season. I'm excited about that👍

In my opinion the prices are absolutely excessive. Paid €75 for 2 people and still hungry, it's a shame that the snack bar opposite was already closed. The sausages were probably Nuremberg from the supermarket and the Maultaschen were also ready-made. Definitely not recommended.

Incredible prices, not even in Munich a tarte flambée costs 15.60 and that on a family campsite!

Delicious food. The price is quite high, but you also get excellent food. Very nice staff. There was also a children's menu and crayons.

Tastes good, service staff very friendly; that in advance. BUT: the price is a bit too high and the quantity is too little. That's why it's actually two numbers too expensive. The first time I left a Bavarian pub hungry. Completely out of place as an inn on a campsite.

Warmth that you wouldn't expect at a campsite - good food and a remarkable selection of beers from the local brewery - and great friendly staff!

The prices are catastrophically high!!!! A sausage salad for just under 17 euros isn't even available in the restaurants in Lindau🤣 with normal prices and good food the restaurant would be a gold mine, but not like that!!!! We don't think about families who would spend a quick 100 euros when going out to eat.

For a campsite restaurant, I can’t fault it. Local dishes and beers, all pretty tasty. The staff were friendly. The chap who served us spoke English (a bonus) and happily explained dishes and made recommendations. It was lovely sitting on the veranda, having respite from the kids in the playground below.

I had the tarte flambée which was a disgrace, way too dry, no cream on it and you could also count the bacon cubes. Price performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Bad product, way too expensive.

The waiter was very accommodating and also really fond of children. The children's menu was laid out, a few colored pencils were added and our little one was able to color in the specially made menu and take it with him. That's what I call thoughtful. The food arrived shortly after I ordered. It was very tasty and was brought hot. We were also offered an alternative schnapps for dessert as our selection was empty. We got the most expensive spirit on the menu at no extra charge. In general it can be said that the price level is at the upper end.

The food was ok, but clearly overpriced. In the price range it should taste much better, the meat was tough. The staff was very friendly.

I can't give any rating about the inn because it's simply overpriced without being stingy. I come from the Bavarian Forest and therefore know for sure that €26.50 for a roast pork is more than a rip-off. Relatively speaking, for €30 I can get a very good, large steak with a side dish in the Bavarian Forest. If people don't go or write honest reviews then hopefully the pub will learn from it. It is clear that the energy costs are very high, but that does not justify these extortionate prices.

The portions were very small but the prices were very high. The spaetzle were cold and unfortunately had no taste.

Beim Abendessen an Ostern im Restaurant waren die Speisen geschmacklich gut, aber leider nur lauwarm serviert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war eher ungünstig, da die Portionen klein und teuer waren. Das Personal hingegen war freundlich.

Aufmerksame Bedienung, aber die Qualität der Speisen nicht besonders gut, sehr kleine Portionen dafür sehr teuer,

Food was rather mediocre. The portions were relatively small.

Das Essen essen war leider ungenießbar. Die Portion des Tagesgerichts war mickrig und schlecht. Der Schweinebraten bestand aus mindestens 50% fett. Bedienung war unhöflich und hat nach Rauch gerochen. Nach dem Essen wollte sie gleich kassieren obwohl wir nicht Mal richtig leer hatten. Nicht zu empfehlen, Preise am obersten Limit für billiges essen aus der Dose. Für niemanden zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war gut und preislich aber im höheren Bereich angesiedelt. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Für die Camper ist es sicherlich angenehm, nicht den Platz verlassen zu müssen.

Service ist nett aber das Essen ist nicht so besonders . Der salat war einfach nur so eine 90 Cent Penny tüte voll mit Salat ohne soße ohne liebe oder alles . Pizza war okey mehr aber auch nicht

Portionen etwas klein. Etwas teurer.

Wir waren nicht so begeistert wir viele andere, aber jeder ist halt anders. Für Kinder ist der Platz jedoch zu empfehlen. Wir finden für die Lage zu teuer. Das Restaurant naja sehr hohe Preise 😑 das Personal war sehr freundlich. Kommen nicht wieder, für 2 Nächte 2 Hunde 116 Euro, bei der Dusche 🚿 muss man jede halbe Minute wenn überhaupt immerwieder auf den Knopf drücken.

Nette Bedienung zuvorkommend aufmerksam bei Mobilitätseingeschränkte Personen. Schöner Biergarten mit allerdings erhöhten Geräuschpegel durch angrenzenden Spielplatz und Schwimmbad.

Wir waren das erste mal dort. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut und die Wartezeiten hielten sich in Grenzen. 1 Stern Abtug in der Gesamtwertung, da die Terasse dann doch sehr dunkel war, und ein wenig Licht zum essen wäre super.

Some services needs updating. Very crowded. A bit noisy. Train close by. Facilities are clean. NO ENGLISH LANGUAGE SIGNS. Activites for children. Very good ice cream.

Die Speisen nicht überragend, dafür die Preise aber! Respekt bei Campern mit Kindern diese hohen Preise aufzurufen. Die Kellnerin war der Hammer beim bezahlen mit Karte. Sie hat sich nicht besonders bei uns bemüht, und eine andere Familie dazugesetzt. Ich hatte es abgelehnt! Bei Nennung des Betrages frag die, was sie in das kartengerät eingeben darf, wegen Trinkgeld. So direkt nicht erlebt bisher.

Super gutes Essen top Service

Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und gefallen. Segr gute Auswahl an Gerichten. Zander und Schweinebraten waren sehr lecker und ausreichend. Lindauer Hefeweizen super Geschmack😊Bewirtung sehr schnell und freundlich. Ambiente Witshaus hat uns auch gefallen (und völlig ausreichend für Gäste in Flip-Flops)Vielen Dank für einen schönen Abend. Kommen gerne wieder.

Eine tolle Location auf dem Campingplatz Gitzenweiler Hof! Der Gasthof hat lecker Gerichte im Sortiment. Uns gefällt aber außer dem Essen und Ambiente auch die flotte und nette Bedienung, die schon zum Inventar gehört. Wir gehen sehr gerne hier futtern. Da ich ein Weizen-Trinker bin, muss ich noch hinzu setzen, dass mir das hier angebotene Lindauer Weisse richtig gut schmeckt. Tja, die Bayern wissen halt, wie Bier brauen geht...

Die Preise sind nicht von schlechten Eltern. ABER das Essen ist sehr gut 👍, und auch die Bedienung ist sehr positiv zu erwähnen (zuvorkommend, bayrisch rustikal). Wir waren jetzt dreimal dort, und sind nicht enttäuscht worden!!!

Wir waren schon ein bissel enttäuscht. Die Preise orientieren sich eher am oberen Ende, die Qualität der Speisen wird dem nicht gerecht. Der 5-Sterne Campingplatz hätte auch eine 5-Sterne Gastronomie verdient.

Super freundliche Bedienung leider war das Essen für den Preis nicht so gut. Aber trotzdem schönes freundliches gasthaus. Und für das Fleisch kann der Koch leider nichts dafür war einfach keine gute Qualität.

Wir hatten uns mehr erwartet. Pommes gibt es nicht und die selbst gemachte Kartoffelspalten ist halt nicht für jedes Kind das richtige. Kaiserschmarren mit Vanillesoße wurde mir ausgeredet und der Wurstsalat war nicht geschnitten. Die kleinen Portionen sind eindeutig zu teuer.

Viel zu teuer, für das was man bekommt. Weder in Quantität noch in der Qualität sind diese Preise gerechtfertigt.

Wir hatten Frühstück für Vatertag bereits im Vorfeld per Mail gebucht. Einmal Vital-und einmal Geniesserfrühstück. Bei beiden wurde aufgrund fehlender Zutaten das Bircher Müsli gestrichen. Ok, soweit in Ordnung. Beim Vital Frühstück fehlte zudem das Glas Saft. Berechnet wurden beide Frühstück komplett, als ob nie etwas gefehlt hätte. Ich erwarte, dass die fehlenden Tutaten dann auch preislich verrechnet werden. Auf Nachfrage wurde nur uns nur ein Getränk angeboten. Also aufpassen- Abzocke- obwohl die Serciekraft sehr nett ist

Gut “gut bürgerliche” mit sehr freundlichem und sehr engagiertem Service. Es hat wirklich alles gepasst. Schöner lockerer Abend! Kann man wirklich empfehlen 🙂

Service und Essen waren top! Wer hier zum Campen ist, kann dort auf jeden Fall zum Essen einkehren. Die kleine Kneipe ist gemütlich und auch wenn die Karte klein ist, so ist trotzdem für jeden etwas dabei, der die regionalen Speisen mag.

Hohe Preise für mittlere Qualität. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Flädlesuppe kam lauwarm und für 5,50 € überteuert. Hauptgerichte Gitz Pfännle und Duett vom Bodensee (Fisch) war in Ordnung.

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen im Gitz-Restaurant. Das Geschnetzelte und der Zwiebelrostbraten waren absolut Spitze. Soße für den Zwiebelrostbraten wurde reichlich nachgereicht. Bedienung außerordentlich nett und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich hier wohl und isst ausgesprochen gut - wenn auch nicht zu Camping-Preisen. Schade, dass nur am Sonntag Mittagessen angeboten wird.,

Leider konnten wir nicht zusammen essen. Der Kaiserschmarn war trocken der Zwiebelrostbraten war in Ordnung am Nachbartisch wurde sich über Geschmacklosigkeit beschwert.

We love the outdoor seating here. The atmosphere is very lively and friendly. It is a Restaurant just inside one of a Campsite in Lindau. We really had enjoyable Dinner meals around with the friendliest Staff, Campers, happy Kids. It is also overlooking the swimming pool and children play area of the Campsite.

Aufgrund der negativen Bewertungen waren wir etwas skeptisch, als wir aber mittags auf einen Kaffee auf der Terrasse saßen und das Essen am Nachbartisch gesehen haben, waren wir uns einig es zu testen. Wir waren durchweg zufrieden.... Zwiebelrostbraten, Salatteller, Kaiserschmarrn. Preislich top und super Qualität. Anscheinend hat es auch einen betreiberwechsel gegeben! Für mich eine Empfehlung !

Von einem Wirtshaus habe ich mir etwas anderes versprochen. Der Feta Salatteller ist nichts anderes, als ein größerer Beilagensalat mit frittiertem Feta. Nicht knackig. Geschmacklich hat es mich nicht angesprochen. Auch das Kind gab ihre Spätzle fast vollständig zurück. Auch die Auswahl der Speisen lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Ich habe zum ersten mal in meinem Leben ein Essen zurückgehen lassen. Fairerweise habe ich es auch nicht bezahlen müssen. Hunger hatte ich danach auch auch nicht mehr.

Das Essen war sensationell, Riiiiiesen-Portionen (wir haben die Hälfte einpacken lassen und am nächsten Tag nocho davon gegessen), die Bedienung (Chefin) sehr, sehr freundlich. Wir freuen uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen im Herbst 2018.

Essen wird nicht selbst gemacht - alles aus der Packung (Convenience), sogar die Soßen :-( Beispiel die Paprikaschnitzel, panierte Fertigschnitzel mit Gewürzketchup.
