Great as always ! Reservation was easy and service was nice and friendly. Our go to place when we meet family in Hannover ☺️

The restaurant Rück zum Glück has two floors, is located directly on the city forest in Hanover and is very popular with the locals. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant, but since space is limited, the tables are very close to each other. I tried the ginger cucumber lemonade. The presentation was nice, but I could barely taste the ginger. The taste didn't convince me, so I can't recommend it.

I was here on Thursday for my mother's birthday. I have to say that it wasn't my first visit and my experience so far has been positive apart from a few small problems. Unfortunately, this picture changed completely during the visit. We shared the big breakfast for €44. First the positive: The salami and ham were good, the brie as well as the hummus and other spreads were reasonable. Plus the crossaints were delicious. I would rate the slightly weak scrambled eggs with a little too much liquid in the glass as well as the orange juice, which consists half of fruit pulp, as neutral. Now to the negative: About half of the remaining cheese was dried out and was hardly edible. The Gouda also had a nice sticker with the inscription “Sliced ​​Cheese” stuck on the edge. The rolls were rock hard, almost impossible to cut with the knives available and, due to their small size, were seriously undersized for the topping. What is absolutely not possible is the disastrous condition of the fruit and salad. I have attached a nice picture here as proof. The pineapple was already dark brown on the edge, the pomegranate was a nice brown-green instead of a rich red and all the fruit was very dried and had a slight appearance of organic waste. In addition, the salad had already seen its best days and wasn't even dressed with any dressing. The worst thing about these mistakes for me is that, despite a problem with the taste, they were all so obvious that it is simply impossible to miss them when freshly prepared. So either something like this is knowingly put on the plate or huge quantities are being produced in advance and not checked again. Fresh fruit doesn't have this condition even after a day in the fridge. Because of the past, I decided to address the problem after breakfast. Unfortunately, this was not possible during breakfast, as after the breakfast was ready we were asked after two bites of the first roll whether everything was OK. For the next hour, despite the almost empty café and service at the neighboring table, we were not paid any attention to or asked for any further requests. After mentioning the problem when paying, the waitress became very rude after a short "sorry" and said that something like this should be discussed at breakfast and not after the fact. The other waitress intervened and at least mentioned passing it on to the kitchen. The waitress' farewell was a fitting "yes, bye". During breakfast, in addition to the extreme disappointment of having to subject my mother to something like this for her birthday, I was convinced that it could be an isolated incident and that I would still come back. But the end of the song topped it all off and for me it was the last visit.

Paying extra for oat milk is soo 2020…

Pear tart and black coffee. Cakes homemade and with skill. Good so far. Service was a long time coming.

Because of the good location, we decided on the "back to happiness" back then. Since then we have been happy to come back because there is a good selection of vegetarian/vegan alternatives. We also love the current clear stance in today's world. "I'm not a...BUT"

Service that is hostile to men, unfriendly and arrogant, fits the model of the left-wing gender scene, it's a shame that politics is practiced when ordering coffee these days.

Na ja. Cappuccino wasn’t a Cappuccino, it was like filter coffee with milk and smth like foam. Definitely not worth the price of 3.90 euro. With oat milk was even worse. Maybe they have to learn what actually cappuccino is?! The lime cake wasn’t that bad in the beginning but the last bites were very dry and tasteless. The carrot cake was really good, the only good thing in the end tbh. Service was really polite and friendly!! Something else that was disturbing is that the owner is deleting the bad reviews, so that’s an instant red flag and a reason not to go there.

Always full and very nice service but: The cappuccino with oat milk was really not tasty. It was like watery milk café with a bit of milk foam on top, served in a very small Ikea glass. The cappuccino with regular milk was just a bit better. Doesn't have to be. The carrot cake was excellent, the lime meringue cake was just ok. For that price I wouldn't go there again for coffee. Maybe the breakfast is better, after all the store was overrun.

We were a small group of women who wanted to have a relaxed and delicious lunch there. At the door we debated for a long time whether we wanted to enter this shop. The poster on the door stating which guests are not allowed here really irritated us. Here the owners follow a wokism that divides, dripping with hatred and agitation in the mantle of the good middle class. The shop doesn't seem to need any new customers; we imagine a warm atmosphere to be different. We gave the store a second chance and were very disappointed. The in-house top potato soup, as advertised, turned out to be unseasoned potato soup. A bitter disappointment for 12€ per person. When we told the staff, she rushed into the kitchen in a personal insult and later told us that the soup was seasoned and was just missing a little salt. OK? Our potato soups were definitely not seasoned. A chai latte was ordered and asked whether the tea bag was one with licorice, because the person who ordered it couldn't tolerate licorice. Answer from the waitress: The tea bag says Yogi tea, that's all she knows!!!!! All around an overpriced bad choice. We have decided that anyone who excludes people and offers poor service and food at overpriced prices will not get our money.

I give full marks for this small, fine shop in Hanover. The breakfast was delicious and the girls in the shop were just great. Since I was in transit and my bike urgently needed to be charged, this was made possible for me. Thanks

I have a very poor recommendation for this establishment that I visited with a friend. The cappuccino didn't taste right. It was in an Ikea jar served. The service was very relaxed and casual. The furnishings were well maintained, but had little imagination. We expected more on the topic of “back to happiness”, the name of the restaurant. Therefore we didn't try the food or the cake.

Flat White was honestly the worst I've had in a long time. The coffee from a bakery tastes much better. Would strongly recommend barista training. Taking 4.60 for that is a bit cheeky. I can't say anything about the food.

On the occasion of my big birthday, I ordered "breakfast for many" with 6 people early on, which was to be served at the set table. Nothing like that was prepared - instead the guests had to wait outside for 15 minutes in sub-zero temperatures to be admitted. After another hour, cake stands were finally on the table to replace each two people. Drinks also arrived slowly and were charged extra expensively. Although the young staff were friendly, they were obviously overwhelmed given the estimated 50 guests on Saturday. Three of my ladies had to sit on a bench that was far too low with their backs against a cold window. The noise level was quite high and there were too few toilets (we used the men's toilet). Overall - despite the good quality of the food - disappointing and clearly overpriced compared to other places in Hanover.

Espresso cups weren't washed, croissants were from the day before, and some orders were forgotten. Ambience resembles a rest stop. Unfortunately not recommended!

A bit cramped, it was very crowded on Sunday. The tables are close together. You have to like that. Otherwise everything was prepared very lovingly and tasty. The staff tried very hard 😃

Yesterday (Sunday) we spontaneously wanted to drink coffee at Back to Glück Back. After consulting with the staff, we sat outside. A short time later we received the menu. And forget about it for the next 15 minutes. The staff was outside several times. But they don't do more than serve one table. They don't look around. Not to the other tables. Everything happens very slowly. Of course it's not a problem if you have time, but we wanted to have a drink, maybe eat something and then move on... That was the plan. Well, after 15 minutes we wanted to take our drinks to go and unfortunately didn't want to eat any more cake. It took another 15 minutes for us to get our drinks. It's not like the staff was busy. One had the feeling that they were in no hurry at all and had no desire to work. And that with four service staff! This is simply awesome! P.S. I know the food is good, that's why I was with you on Sunday. But I don't want to waste my time with such slow and lackluster service. Two years ago I gave a different rating here.

Nice but cool atmosphere. If you use oat milk instead of cow's milk you pay 70 cents more. It's no longer up to date when everyone knows that oat milk is no longer more expensive, protects the environment compared to cow's milk and, above all, protects the animals! The portion for breakfast was really small for the price and not a visual highlight. No reason for me to come back. Too bad.

All in all a nice little cafe. We were here for a (late) breakfast and the food was extremely tasty.

The food was super delicious - the North Sea Bowl in particular is a real culinary delight. One point is deducted for the older lady in service, who made it very clear to us that strollers in the store were a nuisance. She has emphasized this several times, directly or indirectly. It should be said that there wasn't much going on and there was actually no reason.

We were there around lunchtime, with a reservation. When the summer temperatures are pleasant, a table outside. Outside, and well shielded from the street by the small hedge, the Eilenriede is also right opposite, so there is enough oxygen and relatively quiet. A lunch menu with a sufficient selection of dishes, delicious in taste, and the non-alcoholic drinks to match. Service friendly, atmosphere cozy. Good price/performance ratio. A pleasant stay, gladly again. Only a somewhat stubborn wasp took a liking to our table and the drinks. That's just how it is sometimes outdoors in summer ;-)

Very friendly staff, the breakfast is always nice and even gluten-free - especially recommended for outdoor areas and people who give chickens some space are also the right ones.

We were there for late breakfast. Had breakfast for two, with gluten-free rolls, as I have a gluten intolerance. The breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. The waitresses are very friendly. We can highly recommend it.

We were upstairs on the 1st floor. the background noise is very loud. Conversation is only possible to a limited extent. The drinks took over half an hour. The coffee was clearly too thin for me, but that's a matter of taste. Breakfast was served after just under 1.5 hours. The cheese had obvious dry spots and bulged on the plates. The rolls were too tough and compact for me. The service was largely friendly, responded to criticism, was not very accommodating, and was also too inattentive. Overall, I unfortunately didn't like the store. Price performance unfortunately below average.

Everything was nice, except for our space for two. I would have liked it to be a little bigger and more comfortable.

Delicious cakes and other little things. It's comfortable to sit inside and outside. The location is quiet and beautiful, right on the edge of the forest and can easily be combined with a walk.

A crash within 3 weeks. We are regular customers and regularly come to eat twice a week. We have always been happy and satisfied, BUT...since there has been a new service person (name not known, but older semester) this shop has lost some of its friendliness and sympathy. Anyone can have a bad day, but anyone who is often in a bad mood and takes it out on customers has chosen the wrong job as a waitress. We always get hit on because she doesn't like something. There hasn't been a visit in the last 5 times where she hasn't complained about an extra request (changing the side dish due to allergies). This shop was such a harmonious place with such a friendly atmosphere. Why do you hire people like that? We'll have to look for another store in the future, but we'll keep an eye on whether Back to Happiness becomes friendlier again.

It was... just OK. The area is very nice, it's nice outside, the beautiful building inside is... just OK. It can happen that you “lose” guests when they hide in the last corner. However, if you have already seen them before and the store is not very busy, you won't pay much attention. However, the food came in record time. I was expecting very small portions, that didn't quite pan out, they were just slightly below average. The burger patties should actually be called burger blocks - they were that big and misshapen. Neither the meat patty nor the vegetarian one were really convincing. Perhaps due to the thickness of the layer, the vegetarian patty seemed very dry and crumbly, the meat patty was also dry and the seasoning was not convincing. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high, but basically okay, and certainly due to the area and the consistently applied (except for the Rothaus, why?) Bio+X standards. Overall, I just see wasted potential here: the area is nice, the house is nice, the overall concept is nice, but neither really cozy nor really tasty.

I loved this place and used to go often until today... the cakes are expensive and get smaller time after time. Some are from the fridge and are too hard to eat. I'm super desappointed with zurück zum glück.... never come back.

The menu is not exactly clear and a bit large, but after a long search, men and women find the right thing. The presentation of the dishes exudes a lot of love and passion, the kitchen and service work in harmony and understand their job perfectly. The breakfast was OK. Price performance could be better. Service was quick. But one circumstance was particularly unfortunate: there were three of us and we spontaneously came by without a reservation. We only got a small table. We were not allowed to add another free table. The reason for this was lunchtime. The free table next door remained empty until the end of our visit. Other visitors, including three and without a reservation, were then given the large table by the window, which would otherwise fit at least 6-8 people. So the three of us sat at a table for two and the other guests sat at a table for eight. For the same service we would probably also have to have blonde hair. The anti-racist poster at the entrance can be taken down again ;)

The described slice of the best restaurant in 2023 is probably self-made!!

Have a nice hipster coffee. They are very ecological, but the gluten-free cakes and breads on offer are not made to suit celiac disease and are stored directly next to the products containing gluten, which can then become very contaminated. From what I've heard, gluten-free processing is handled rather sloppily, but I haven't seen the kitchen myself yet. In terms of price, this shop can still be well compensated for. It's generally very expensive and at the same time petty with the portion sizes. The staff was nice, but very understaffed and there were long waiting times every time I was there. A bit strange in combination with the prices. Ambience is rather sparsely furnished and offers practically no sound insulation, which leads to sometimes unbearable volumes. Generally more for people who want to feel trendy but have too much money.

Quality top! We ordered breakfast for a larger group. Since it was a birthday, I wanted to prepare the reception a little earlier, but unfortunately this was not possible. When I asked, the management told me that we couldn't come until the regular opening time, less than 5 minutes earlier. I found the harsh tone extremely unpleasant. Once our group (ten people) was seated, ordering coffee and egg dishes took almost half an hour. Some orders were forgotten. The service was still extremely friendly and accommodating It's a shame that the management made such a negative impression on us! We felt a bit like supplicants.

The food and service were great, but the acoustics really need to be worked on; if you can't understand the person sitting right next to you, then it's less than ideal. We left earlier and probably would have eaten something else, but it was just too loud.

Organic dominates the menu, offers are ok but nothing that blows me away. A breakfast for around 17 euros and every coffee/tea costs extra. When there are a lot of visitors, the noise level is also high.

Best breakfast in Hanover! Here there is e.g. B. with “Granola with fruit” it really means fruit, fresh fruit, lots of fruit. And huge pancakes for the kids. The prices are not cheap, but they are reasonable considering the quality. Here you can really have a good time.

I wanted to get a coffee-to-go with my girlfriend on a Sunday around 4:30 p.m. Two people were already standing in front of the counter. I asked an employee if it was possible to get a coffee-to-go. Unfortunately, she responded in a rather brusque tone and made me understand that this would normally work, but that there was too much going on now. As I was leaving, I noticed that the people in front of me were waiting for a coffee-to-go. That made me suspicious and I asked why that was the case. The people in front of me then explained to me that they had good relations with the restaurant and that was why they were getting something. In the following sentence they declared themselves to be the owners of the café. At the same time, other people entered the café to take something with them. After this situation, we were informed by the staff (still in a non-service-oriented tone) that we would all get something, we would just have to wait. But I decided to leave the café and go to my regular café in Hildesheim because I like to feel welcome.

The food was incredibly tasty and absolutely fresh. Drinks are partly homemade and absolutely recommended. Very friendly staff and despite the fact that it was full, the waiting times were short. Great value for money! Absolutely recommended. Since it is owner-managed and a family business, visiting there is twice as much fun because you are supporting local gastronomy!

In my opinion one of the best breakfasts you can get in Hanover.

Das Interieur wirkt sehr kühl und weiß, auch die Beleuchtung lässt den Raum eher eiskalt wirken. Es ist sehr laut, wenn der Laden gefüllt ist. Das Frühstück ist solide / klassisch aber nichts besonderes. Aufschnitt gibt es leider nur vom Schwein. Eine halbe Kiwi sowie die Marmelade wurde ohne Löffel serviert. Es dauerte 15min. bis der Kaffee an den Tisch kam nach der Bestellung. Alles in allem okay, aber lohnt sich nicht für einen 2. Besuch.

Naja, für den Preis hätte ich mir echt was besseres vorgestellt, fast 70 Euro zum Frühstück für zwei Personen.......

This lovely place near the centre of Hannover and on the edge of the city forest Eilenriede has delicious breakfast options for all kinds of eaters (big, small, vegan, etc). It has friendly staff, plenty of space and they serve you quickly. You sit there as you wake up, enjoy your morning coffee while you look at the birds flying from and to the trees. Perfect!

Die Speisekarte ist echt toll, weil im Zurück zum Glück auch Speisen angeboten werden, die man woanders nicht bekommt. Das Kuchensortiment ist auch spitze. Leider ist der Service sehr lahm. Man wird einfach nicht angesprochen. Und hat man dann was gegessen, wird ewig nicht abgeräumt. Wir wollten eigentlich etwas nachbestellen, haben uns aber dann entschieden zu gehen, da, wie schon erwähnt, das Personal den Gast nicht anspricht, geschweige denn in die Richtung schaut. Das Ambiente im Zurück zum Glück ist auch wirklich nicht gemütlich und einladend. Eher laut und kahl. Im Sommer auf der Terrasse ist es vermutlich angenehmer.

Angenehme Atmosphäre,ausgesucht zeitgemäße Speisen. Sehr lecker. Unaufgeregter Service, auch wenn's mal voll ist / wird. Empfehlung.

Als Bio-Fans wollten wir diesen Laden auch einmal ausprobieren. Gut dass wir für den Sonntagmorgen - wie man es in Hannover immer machen sollte - reserviert hatten: Es waren viele Besucher da, das obere Stockwerk war anscheinend komplett reserviert. Einige spontane Gäste mussten leider wieder von dannen ziehen. Es gab aber genug Personal (ich schätze, fünf bis sieben Kräfte), die sehr freundlich + schnell waren. Das Ambiente ist hübsch, zum Gemütlichsein standen die Stühle leider etwas dicht. Die Lautstärke war aufgrund der vielen Besucher im mittleren Bereich. Etwas enttäuscht waren wir vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: Die Getränke, auch wenn bio, sind für den Preis doch sehr klein (Schorle 0,2, Kaffee + Flat white kamen in kleinen Gläschen). Das Frühstück war zum Sattwerden gerade ausreichend, der Kuchen in Ordnung. Fazit: Wahrscheinlich nett für unter der Woche. Vielesser und Kaffeefans dürften hier allerdings ihre Probleme haben.

Finde es schade, dass es so nah an der Uni ist und für Studenten praktisch unbezahlbar. Der Kaffee ist z.B. teuer und nicht mal besonders gut, da sollte man sich schon richtige Baristi anheuern. Ambiente auch nicht besonders, da etwas kahl. Immerhin sind die Bedienungen extrem nett :)

Cute cafe I found on the way to Zoo. I guess the main point of this cafe is maintaining sustainable and ecological approach. They have nice outdoor terrace. I ordered cappuccino and apple pie. It was nothing special but tasty. They don’t have English menu and only one girl speaks a bit of English but we managed to understand each other. Good thing they accept credit cards.

Bestes Frühstück in der Stadt 👍

Das Frühstück ist wirklich ganz ausgezeichnet, Etwas hochpreisig. Auch der Kaffee ist recht teuer. Der Service ist so lala. Es dauert alles etwas länger. Aber dafür sitzt man im netten Ambiente.

Tolles ruhiges Café, waren zum Frühstück dort :-) Essen kam schnell, war frisch, hätte allerdings für mich heißer sein können. Kaffee sehr lecker, preislich schon teuer, für die versprochene Qualität aber angemessen. Auf den Wunsch das Frühstück vegetarisch und zum Ei eine Scheibe Brot mit Marmelade & Frischkäse extra zu bekommen wurde direkt eingegangen, vielen Dank an den freundlichen Service! Toll, dass neben Soja- und Hafer- auch Mandelmilch angeboten wird!

Gutes Essen, aber leider 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit ohne jegliche Kommunikation!

Frühstück für viele - Leider nein! Ab 5 Personen kann man das Frühstück für viele bestellen. Es gibt die normale und vegetarische Variante für 17 und 21 Euro. Es wird als Buffet am Tisch ausgewiesen. Leider war das ein kompletter Reinfall und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis eine Frechheit. Alles kam auf einer kleinen Platte. Sowohl die vegetarischen Komponenten als auch der Aufschnitt. Ich finde es nicht so toll, wenn der Käse (für die Vegetarier) unter dem Schinken und der Salami liegt. Die einzelnen 5 kleinen "Gläschen" mit Salat sollten sich 6 Personen teilen. Es gab 3 Stücke Brie, 4 Scheiben Schinken und 6 Scheiben Käse für uns alle. Weiterhin gab es gab kein Brot und 10 Brötchen für 6 Personen. Auf Nachfrage, ob das jetzt alles wäre, war die einzige Antwort der überforderten und genervten Bedienung..."Ich kann es jetzt nicht ändern. Die Küche hat es so vorbereitet". Den O-Saft erhielten wir erst auf Nachfrage. Mein Tipp - bestellt euch als Gruppe jeweils ein Frühstück von der normalen Frühstückskarte. Da muss man nicht raten, wofür man jetzt 21 Euro bezahlt hat. Die Bedienung war leider sichtlich genervt und fast schon unfreundlich. Schade!
