They have the worst service ever, I had to wait for 45 minutes just to get a sandwich for my lunch 😡 Not worth it, not recommended

We went to Boga Beef Bar and were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance is truly stylish, yet relaxed. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the steak, perfectly cooked and super tender. The side dishes were also top-notch. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive; you just feel welcome. We'll definitely be back! 🤩

We went there once to eat, the food was served cold and the chefs always come there with their dogs and we found a short hair in the food, who knows if it was from the dogs, the service was also totally unconvinced of what they were doing

If I could and could fill up my stamp card anywhere in one evening, it would be here. The burgers and the baked lava with ice cream are absolutely amazing. The portions may be on the small side, but the quality and taste quickly make up for it. I'd love to come back. Keep up the unforgettable quality of the food ❤️

Unfortunately disappointing visit I had a very disappointing experience at the Boga restaurant in Hanover. After waiting over an hour for the food, I asked the waitress if we had been forgotten. She then informed me that there were no more avocados available for my salad - information that could definitely have been passed on earlier. I asked for an alternative, but we still had to wait another 15 minutes until the food was finally served. The payment process was also unprofessional: although the waitress had previously collected money at other tables outside, we were asked to come inside to pay. When I asked her about the bad experience, she couldn't or wouldn't respond. Overall, disappointing service and unfortunately not a visit I can recommend.

We were very disappointed with the restaurant. The service was completely overwhelmed and had no overview. After more than half an hour, part of the order was brought, the rest didn't come despite repeated requests. There was no apology from the restaurant. When we asked, we only had to pay for two drinks instead of three. Not recommended.

There is great potential for improvement. A little tip for singles: the restaurant is perfect for a date, there is enough time to get to know each other.

Exciting spices, extraordinary recipes

Burger was okay. Nothing special for the price. Unfortunately we got the wrong sauces. My colleague got a ripeye steak for €50, which turned out to be a long steak, which was cold and not medium. After returning it, we were served another steak which was medium rare and had to discuss it with the chef. As a replacement for the cold steak, we only got a 200 gram steak instead of 400 grams (still no ripeye). At least we got a few short ones as compensation. However, the whole thing definitely took away from the whole experience. In the end it was disappointing for the price of the restaurant. Unfortunately the drinks were wrong and not what we ordered (we ordered Jägermeister and got some strange herbal liqueur) Sitting outside was really nice. However, the toilets were not in good condition and it was rather uncomfortable to go to the toilet there.

Unfortunately my visit was disappointing. The food left a lot to be desired: one steak was cold, as were half of the potatoes on the plate. The taste of the whiskey sour we ordered had nothing to do with a classic whiskey sour - there was no noticeable protein at all. For €12 I definitely expect something different. In addition, the toilets were in a catastrophic condition, which made the overall impression even worse. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation.

The waiter who took our orders seemed to be in a hurry, became rude at times, seemed to be making fun of us, and didn't seem to be in touch with us at all. The restaurant wasn't particularly full, so in my opinion there was no need to rush. Another waiter who brought us our food seemed friendly. The food tasted very good. As a side dish to the steak was a salad and, unmentionably, half a tasty corn on the cob and a mini carrot. The toilets looked shabby, neither clean nor visually good. As toilet paper there were dry towels for the hands, which were therefore not easy to rinse away and did not belong there.

It was super tasty, we once ordered “Serpme Kahvaltisi” and it was enough for two people. Plus warm fried vegetables and the Sosis pan. Everything happened super quickly. We received a really great welcome and were given great advice. Price/performance ratio is ok.

Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. The sanitary facilities were in an unhygienic condition - the floor was sticky, the urinals were out of order and poorly covered with foil. The toilet bowl was dirty and everything around the soap dispensers was also smeared. It seemed like no one cared about cleanliness. Due to the rain, we sought shelter in the upper interior area, which was completely empty. Nevertheless, we were rudely informed by the waiter that this was not permitted. It seemed as if they wanted to save themselves the trip upstairs. The food itself was unfortunately disappointing - very greasy and hardly edible in taste. There were also problems with the drink: We ordered freshly squeezed orange juice and specifically asked whether it was really fresh. This was confirmed to us. However, upon testing it turned out that this was not the case. Questions about this went unanswered and no one felt responsible. At the end we were also brought an incorrect invoice - again no apology or accommodation. The prices give the impression of a high-quality restaurant - unfortunately this appearance is deceptive. A lot of “bling-bling” and superficial decoration (such as gold taps) are supposed to suggest exclusivity, but if you look closer you will quickly notice that more emphasis is placed on appearance than on quality. Overall a disappointing experience. They seem to rely on walk-in customers here, because as a regular guest you hardly come back a second time.

The ambience in the restaurant is great, it is very comfortably furnished. The menu offers a variety of things and there is something for every taste, so far so good. The toilet facilities are somewhat unhygienic and the floors are uniformly glued. (?!) After we waited forever(!) for our food, it arrived and we talked about a dish that had been brought, namely pasta with rocket. We were talking at our table about whether it is generally customary in Germany to only have 4-5 leaves of arugula on top, as we only know that a handful of arugula on top is served on top. This wasn't a complaint or anything like that - just an exchange between interested friends at the table. A service employee noticed this, stood up next to my friend who was sitting and said "Is something wrong?" - the tone was very clumsy. We were very negative about this behavior because we think that something like that doesn't work. Well, after that we had to wait forever for the food to be served and pay, which unfortunately wasn't a pleasant experience.

Food is great! However, do check your bill. We went to dine with 4 people, not only did they put drinks on our tab which we did not consume. They included an excessive 20% tip without asking anything; the bill is only given/shown after you pay. IOW unethical scammers.

Really good food, the kitchen definitely deserves praise. Unfortunately the service was absolutely horrible. They tried hitting on my girlfriend several times, tried to take her by the hand at the end and were disrespectful the entire service. They were most likely also drinking at that point as well. If not for my self control, I would have considered this behaviour motive for defending her. This is unexcusable behaviour for restaurant staff, I definitely don't recommend taking your girls there anytime soon. Date: april 1 2025 - night service.

Complete Disaster. Service was awfull and food was worse. After ordering a Fruit platter I was met with a plate full of fruits that were already close to decomposing. No remorse from staff was only told to pay and leave. After my review that I had for years they didnt try to reach out to me about changing it at all, The only thing I got was slapped by a defemation accusation and was forced to remove and am unable to even change the review on the original account.

Very good food - I can highly recommend 1kg Toma Hawk for two people. Very good sides like herb baguette/mushrooms! Unfortunately the urinals were defective, otherwise it would have been 5 stars! Will definitely come back!

We were super excited. It's been a long time since I've had such good steaks in a restaurant!! And for the first time, I got my steak at the right doneness. They know what they're doing! The side dishes (especially salad and vegetables) and the wine were also fantastic. Plus a really cozy atmosphere. You haven't seen the last of us. We'll definitely be back!

Now it was time to take a look again, because the map has been revised and supplemented. There is now also a breakfast and lunch menu with changing dishes. The burger selection is impressive, as is the location. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal in the large outdoor area and everyone can find their favorite place in the stylish indoor area. We chose the Jerry Burger and Grandma’s Favorite with fries and sweet potato fries and various dips. Our favorite dip was the Boga sauce. Both burgers were a little lacking in that final touch. The quality of the ingredients were very good. We really liked the new, homemade buns – nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The fries could have used a little more seasoning for our taste, but were otherwise super crispy and tasty. We are burger addicts and are searching for the best burgers in the Hanover region. #burgertourhannover

We popped in for lunch and were very well looked after. Succulent burger cooked to perfection, excellent fries. Nice shop, delicious food and the boss is nice too. A bit dark to eat, but that's a matter of taste. I can't understand how staff can be so incompetent. 8 people in service, we weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink, we waited 2 hours for our food, and my burger was cuddled on the chest until it got to me. I've always loved Boga, but such bad service twice in 2 weeks? I don't know...we won't come back again.

The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was also very chic, so you felt very comfortable. What is to be criticized, however, is the condition of the toilets. These are nicely decorated like the rest of the store, but not clean. The trash can is almost overflowing with the amount of paper. In addition, the toilet seats were not cleaned. The impression was given that no one had checked the toilets all day - since hygiene is very important to me, two stars deducted! Otherwise everything was great.

When we asked, we were simply told that only the higher price was valid, which conveyed little transparency. Another drawback was the sanitary facilities. The toilets were in an unclean condition, which severely affected the overall impression of the restaurant. There were also several incorrect orders, which made the service seem uncoordinated. What should be highlighted positively, however, is the food itself, which was quite convincing in terms of taste. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were only served lukewarm or cold, which spoiled the enjoyment. In summary: The food is good, but the organization and hygiene leave a lot to be desired. Given the pricing and inadequate service, the value for money is questionable.

Last Saturday evening I had dinner at boga for the first time with a good friend. We expected anything but rude service, soggy burger bread, and forgotten side dishes. The meat tasted spoiled. I hope I never have to go to a restaurant like that again, I wouldn't wish that on even my worst enemy

Good evening, the food and the ambience are an excellence that I would recommend to everyone. However, it still pains me to receive worse and worse service with every visit. In the catering industry it is normal that good waiters are not always available and many are still learning how to wait, but I expect reasonable service and prices from this establishment. The waiters are sometimes confused or overwhelmed by the simplest “instructions”, which bothers me because I attach great importance to service. Nevertheless, I am always willing to eat in the shop because I really like the place in terms of food and it is always a culinary delight to eat there.

The waitress Celine 👩🏼 was very, very friendly, she had to come back several times because we didn't know what we wanted and she always came to us in a good mood and was able to answer our questions helpfully. 😁 The food was very good (a bit expensive) and it's really cozy here. We'd love to come back. So to the boss: you have a very good employee and you should give her more money. 😉 Greetings, Justin

The pretty good reviews convinced us to give Boga a try. The first impression was very good - we were greeted warmly and sat comfortably. The drinks were ordered quickly. The non-alcoholic mojito in particular was very tasty! But when we ordered food it started: Ordered a chicken burger, but unfortunately there was no chicken. That's annoying. Instead the falaffel burger was ordered and a normal one. After a reasonable amount of time the food arrived. Unfortunately, Falaffelburger was misunderstood, it was some other burger. The service was polite but somehow it sounded like he wanted to blame us. But I heard that my companion said falaffel burger. He probably noticed it himself and came back a little later and apologized, and that was the end of the matter. Overall, my beef burger tasted okay. Sauce, vegetables, bun were actually pretty tasty. Only the meat was very dry and not seasoned at all. I thought that was a shame given the good quality of the meat. The fries were excellent! The sweet potato fries were less good. They just tasted bland. At €6.90 I would also describe it as outrageously expensive. The falafel burger tasted very good, but the consistency was very soggy. This could be optimized a bit Ordering the bill until someone came to pay took a long time. When our waiter came and asked if we wanted the bill, which we personally asked him for 10 minutes ago, we also knew what went wrong with the burger. Overall, the experience was mixed and at €61 for 2 drinks and 2 burgers I expect everything to be okay. Please work on the details, your store has potential. Ask how people want their burger patty, introduce ordering apps for your employees so that no order gets mixed up on the way to the kitchen. Check your pricing structure again. 4.90 for fries without dip (+ 1-2€) is sporty.

Just WOW, if you want to drink really good cocktails, you're in good hands here. The food was also just a dream, the meat was perfectly medium fried and the burger was juicy, you really have to try it. The whole meal was simply a taste explosion in the mouth and the service was always on point and very attentive. Thank you for the wonderful evening and the numerous hours with you. We'll definitely be back. Stay as you are and let the team from the kitchen, to the bartender and the waiters, you are amazing.

I went there today on the recommendation of a friend, it was simply a 100/10! The service was extremely attentive, we asked if everything was okay, and we were very helpful and received everything quite quickly. The menu has so much choice and the sayings are so beautifully arranged, everyone will find something here! The owner was so sweet and friendly. Eating is fun as long as the service is great. It's a shame the waiter ignores our table and takes the order for a new table and despite waiting 15 minutes no one comes to us. What should be highlighted positively is that the ambience of the restaurant is appealing and the decor was beautifully chosen. Nevertheless, that is not enough to overlook the many shortcomings. Overall our visit was very disappointing. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure future guests have a better experience.

Really happy I came here on a whim. I had the Boga Beef Guvec and it was delicious. I followed it up with the baklava and ice cream which hit the spot. Really good quality, reasonable prices and a nice outdoor eating area (the chairs were comfy). I will be back.

We were sitting outside - cozy atmosphere. We ordered Burgeres and and Rind Güvech. All drinks came at once - but only The Burgers came to out table, they forgot the Rind Güvech. We waited a while - as all three of us wanted to eat together. Asking about the last dish, they admitted they forgot it….. -so we waited again, now burgers were cold. After 20 minutes we again asked for the last dish. Finally it came - but waiting 1 hour. All of our patients were used. And the coziness of eating together ruind.

The waiter Kaan was in a great mood. He gave us good recommendations and was very friendly and accommodating. The food was also great. The atmosphere is great and there is even a cigar lounge.

I noticed how the owner attacked a customer because the customer had to wait more than 20 minutes for his drinks. Instead of asking their employees to satisfy the customers, they preferred to assume that they were lying and hadn't ordered. Terrible service, I sat 2 tables away and just wanted to leave!! Absolutely not recommended as we also had to wait over 15 minutes. This was definitely my last visit. The toilets upstairs were also really dirty and no one really cared about keeping them clean. I'm not surprised by the owner. 1 star is one too many.

The owner is an unfriendly and incomprehensible person. After I asked nicely after 20 minutes where my drink was, the owner became very angry and wanted to know whether I had really been waiting for my water and food for 20 minutes. Afterwards she said that I didn't have the right to talk like that and if I didn't like it, I could go and eat and drink somewhere else. So you don't put up with something like that as a guest and then you leave.

There is a 2 year old menu on the website, the waiter mixed up several things, was sometimes a bit cheeky (but within reason) and according to a friend, the toilets were anything but clean

I really have to say that I like the Boga from A to Z. It's very stylish and has a great atmosphere. Service is very friendly and attentive. And above all: the food was very good. From burgers to lasagne to beef skewers. Everything perfect. My absolute favorite are the Boga beef skewers - great! Yummy! 😋 We'll be back 😊

The store is nicely decorated, but has some drawbacks. When we were there, the toilet on the upper floor was broken, so you should use the disabled toilet in the basement. The only problem was that the door couldn't be locked, which made going to the toilet quite stressful. The food was okay, but the service left a lot to be desired. It all took quite a long time, which is a problem if you only want to eat there briefly during your lunch break. Everything can be expanded somewhat.
