Great, cozy restaurant with great cuisine.

Delicious food and friendly service

Spontaneously got a table without a reservation on a Friday evening. This is not a given as the restaurant was basically fully booked. The service was very courteous and attentive. The food came very quickly and was hot and delicious. A side salad was served with the schnitzel and there was also some bread with excellent aioli. Gladly again and again!

The Wiener Schnitzel and the rack of lamb as well as the dessert were amazing! The last time I ate such good quality Wiener Schnitzel was in Ulm. As always, accompanying entertainment and nice conversations with the boss. A restaurant in Schwerte that you like to go to because the food on offer varies. Keep it up and THANK YOU also to the service team!

Very nice and delicious restaurant!

We went to the restaurant again last night and had a great evening. The food was simply amazing!!! We will definitely repeat the prawns in combination with the antipasti. The steaks were very tender and definitely top quality. The service is exemplary! The store was full but everyone was very attentive. Nothing was missing. I can recommend the restaurant 100%. Thanks again to the local team!

I knew right from the start that it would be difficult to make the right food choice and in an absolutely positive way! The daily recommendations made it even more difficult. It was delicious, from appetizer to dessert! Service was also great, many thanks to the whole team!

Hvis du er i nærheden af Dortmund, eller rejser i autocamper og benytter det fine camperstop i Schwerte ved Ruhr-floden, så spis aftensmad på Das Lokal. Virkelig frisk og veltilberedt mad, men måske ikke så lokalt... Hyggelig og inkluderende atmosfære. Prisen modsvarer fint måltidets kvalitet.

I discovered the restaurant last year and have been a guest several times since then. I think everyone will find something on the menu. Although you can't put the restaurant in a box, which isn't a disadvantage here! Ambiance, service and quality - everything is FINE! I'd love to come back! Keep it up...and please don't stop, many people make that mistake...:-)

All around a great restaurant with good home cooking. The staff super friendly. Even though it was really busy, the restaurant wasn't too loud. The meals were excellent. We would like to come again.

It was our first time at “das Lokal” and we enjoyed our visit in every way. That's why we'll add "the local" to our list for future visits.

I've eaten here several times and it's always been very good, but I have to write a review for the next visit. We were there for Christmas dinner with work colleagues (approx. 20 people). The place was packed and that too on an all you can eat schnitzel day. I asked if there was also chicken schnitzel (I don't eat pork) and I was told no. Then the boss came and told me that he couldn't guarantee that the chicken schnitzels would be fried in separate pans if they came one by one and asked if he could bring several schnitzels straight away, then he could serve me chicken schnitzels. I have never experienced such good service as here. I can blindly recommend the restaurant to everyone. Keep it up…

Nice restaurant in Schwerte with extremely friendly service. The prices are really quite high, but the quality is good. The apple crumble for dessert was also very tasty.

Endlich haben wir es mal geschafft auf einem Donnerstag einen Tisch zu reservieren. Jeden Donnerstag gibt’s Burger vom Grill und diese waren super lecker. Leider haben wir kein Foto gemacht, aber ich kann es jedem empfehlen, ich hatte Süßkartoffelpommes mit Chilli-Mango Dip und mein Mann hatte Kartoffelchips mit Parmesan Aioli. Im April waren wir nochmals dort und haben a la carte gegessen, diese Bewertung folgt noch.

The food is absolutely great. e.g. E.g. saddle of lamb (fillet) on zucchini etc. Tomatoes with a wonderful sauce. Plus truffle mashed potatoes.

"The Local" is worth a visit! Nice staff, special dishes, modern atmosphere. Price is good too. For dishes with a side salad on the plate, there could be a little less salad. The shrimp are prepared differently than you are used to, but I would have liked a little more salt. The feta cheese is super delicious. In summer, as in winter, the lemonade raspberry or lemon is highly recommended! Will definitely come back.

We came from Siegen to visit a friend and spontaneously went to “Das Lokal”. We went there without any great expectations, but were immediately pleasantly surprised by a greeting from the kitchen. The staff was also extremely friendly, the nice couple who own the shop seemed very harmonious. The ambience was also modern and inviting. As a meal I had the “lamb saddle steak with truffle puree” that was recommended by the restaurant. The food was really fantastic, the steak was incredibly dark, the sauce went perfectly with it, the steamed vegetables underneath also went well with it. The mashed potatoes with the truffles rounded the whole thing off perfectly. Unfortunately we were in a bit of a hurry so didn't order dessert, but we'll definitely do that next time. At the end there was a nightcap on the house and 3 completely satisfied guests, big praise to the team.

Food in a very cozy atmosphere with excellent service. Large selection on the normal menu and you can also find unusual dishes on the additional menu. We always enjoy coming back 👍

Sehr schönes gemütliches Ambiente und das Essen war wieder sehr lecker. Bedienung vom Chef, was will man mehr!

Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Das Rinderfilet-Steak war perfekt (blutig) und butterzart. Die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Absolut zu empfehlen und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal.

Es hat alles gepasst. Von der Begrüßung über den Service bis zur Verabschiedung. Die Preise sind etwas höher, die Karte klein und gut ausgewählt. Parkplätze (2 Std Höchstparkdauer) sind in der Nähe. Eine Tischreservierung auch in der Woche (online) ist notwendig, da das Restaurant gut besucht ist. Komme gerne wieder. Am 9.12.23 hatten wir unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier. Super organisiert. Erst Vorspeisenteller wo jeder das nehmen konnte was er mochte. Leckeres Brot dazu. Dann gab's ein kleines aber super tolles Buffet und anschließend ein spitzen Nachtischteller woran sich jeder bedienen konnte. Auch an die Veganer wurde gedacht. Nicht ganz so vielfältig aber alle waren zufrieden. Toller Service. Vielen Dank 🙏🏽 🌸

Super Restaurant mit sehr gutem Essen und einem super freundlichen Service.

Das Lokal ist immer einen Besuch wert! Das Personal ist super freundlich und immer auf Zack - man wartet nie zu lange auf Getränkenachschub. Auch das Essen kommt recht schnell und heiß an den Tisch. Die Preise sind angemessen und das Essen ist einfach super lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Rinderfilet war "on point" gebraten und die Gans meiner Frau (aus der Saisonkarte) war auch extrem gut. Zudem gibt es hier auch leckere Variationen der Biere der Ostermann-Brauerei. Vorher am besten einen Tisch reservieren! Wenn es voll ist - was meistens der Fall ist, es ist halt ein gutes Restaurant - ist es doch auch etwas lauter, aber trotzdem noch alles im Rahmen. Die Einrichtung ist hübsch und stilvoll. Nochmal DANKE ans Team, ihr macht mit eurer lockeren und freundlichen Art JEDEN Besuch besonders!

Ich war in den letzten 12 Monaten etwa 25 Male zum Dinner hier und hatte dabei niemals etwas auszusetzen. Die Qualität von Speisen und Service war stets ohne Fehl und Tadel. Ich fühle mich einfach wohl, wenn ich Das Lokal mit gespannter Knopfleiste meines Hemdes verlasse. Das gesamte Team macht mich einfach glücklich. Danke!

In einem Familiengeführtes Restaurant mit tollem Service und exzellentem Essen! Jederzeit wieder.

Im großen und ganzen okay. Das Essen kam schnell. Mein Geschmack ist es nicht unbedingt. Das Kartoffelpüree schmeckte wie aus der Tüte. Die Schmorzwiebeln waren leider noch viel zu roh. Ist vielleicht nur eine Ausnahme. Der Service ist sehr nett und herzlich .

Gestern da gewesen .Der beste Zander Fisch in Deutschland. Einfach köstlich .Top.Bedienung 1a .waren zu mit 12 Leuten da .alle zufrieden .jedem hat es geschmeckt.wir waren alle sehr zufrieden.

Wir waren zu fünft essen, heute war Schnitzel Tag. Schnitzel mit verschiedenen Soßen und als Beilage Bratkartoffeln und Pommes. Grundpreis 14.90€ pro Person, aber wer wollte, konnte so viel nachbestellen, wie er schafft. Alles war sehr lecker und reichlich. Der Service war sehr gut. Kann man sicherlich empfehlen.
