Incredibly delicious food! If you're just looking for delicious food without any frills, this is the place for you. The food was super tasty and very inexpensive! The wait was already very long, so you definitely shouldn't come super hungry or be stressed. One lady cooked all by herself and did a great job. There is hardly any space, so it's better not to come in a larger group and payment is only possible in cash, so bring cash and plenty of time.

The food is delicious, but do you want to wait in front of the store for an hour? I've been there three times so far and each time I had to wait at least an hour. Once I even found myself standing in front of a locked door! Conclusion: unreliable.

Very, very tasty, absolutely recommended! The woman is amazing, goes shopping herself, takes orders and cooks for people despite her old age. Hats off to this lady.

Incredibly delicious food, highly recommended in this regard. BUT: Payment is only possible in cash, communication is poor and the time is always “in 15 minutes”. We actually waited an hour outside the store for our food. The atmosphere is rather rustic, but nice. So bring cash and plenty of time.

If I lived nearby, I would go to Dan Thai almost every day. The pad thai is hands down the best pad thai I have had in Berlin. It's on par with the pad thai I had in Bangkok. The thai sausage and rice are also very, very delicious. Please note that she cooks most of the dishes by herself, so the wait time can be long, but it's worth it. The prices are also really good and the portions are quite decent.

One of the best Pad Thais I've ever eaten. Amazing price and delicious. I would like to try the other dishes. There might be a wait. It's a small restaurant that serves such good food. If you're impatient, go at a time when there are fewer people.

What a warm and lovely place. I felt very welcome and the two women were really nice. I had number 22 and it was really tasty. But next time I'll try something different! PS: There is only room for about 6 people inside: that's why most people take it with them. It is also usually relatively full. It's also really cheap. Price/performance: Absolute 10/10!

The Thai food at Dan Thai is simply the most authentic in Berlin, if not in all of Europe. I have never found a better red curry anywhere else in Europe. My recommendation! Waiting times must be planned for. I would recommend ordering food locally and using the waiting time, which can be up to 45 minutes at peak times, to shop at Lidl or similar and then enjoy the food at home, especially if you live around the corner. Otherwise, you'll be lucky to find a seat inside, as reservations are not possible in the 10 square meter interior. This is where taste matters; If you're expecting a fancy restaurant experience or are looking for a quick grab & go experience, you're in the wrong place here.

You want to eat like you did with grandma in Thailand? You want to feel like sitting in that alley in Bangkok again eating fresh out of the wok pad kra pao? Then come here!!! The wok is hot 6 days a week. Bring some time as grandma cooks every dish herself. 10/10 authentic Thai!

This is the best Thai food and high recommended from Thai people. If you would like to try some original seem like you eat in Thailand’s local place should come here. The chef (we call her ‘Pa Tan its mean Tan aunty) she so kind and take care the customer like grandson granddaughter. Because she a bit old maybe the food needs to wait for long but for sure you will get the best Thai food that you ever try

Waited 50 minutes for 2 dishes that were so spicy that you didn't taste anything apart from the spiciness. For that, tens per dish. I can't think of a single reason in the world why you should do something like that voluntarily.

It has basically become my little canteen. Most of the prices are 7/8 euros and the taste is pretty good. It's just that business is so good every time that I have to wait for a while. Tried: 7 Khao Muh Daeng Red Pork + Fried Pork + Sweet Sausage + Egg, served with rice ——A combination of three kinds of pork. The red pork is thin slices of slightly braised meat, the fried pork is also very fragrant, and the sausage is sweet. The accompanying sweet and spicy sauce also relieves the greasiness of fried pork. 19 Guay Jub Pig offal (heart, liver, lung and tongue) and rice noodle rolls ——It’s delicious! Last time I saw a Thai girl ordering this bowl of pork offal soup. The offal has no special taste and is cut relatively thinly. It is soaked in a sweet soy sauce-flavored powder soup and is very tasty and not dry. And the fried tofu is full of soup! Probably the best Pad Thai in Berlin. Price-performance ratio is outrageously good. Yes, you usually wait 45 to 60 minutes. However, the food is worth it.

Just cult and the feeling of home. Yes, you wait a long time, yes, every now and then you are forgotten and yes, there is hardly any space, but it's just like being in Bangkok, in a small alley, when you're still in the mood for Pad Krapao at 1 a.m. Madam Dan is kind, chaotic and funny. The food tastes good and is cheap these days. Yes, there are restaurants that are perhaps more attractive, but they just don't have the feeling of Thailand.

Don’t expect much from the service or atmosphere. It’s a hole in the wall restaurant with only 1 old Thai lady cooking. Only maximum 6 people can sit inside so the wait might be long. But the classic Thai dishes are cheap and delicious.

The pad thai was extremely salty (or too much MSG) and i felt dizzy afterwards 😂 but the food was very affordable and the number 9 my friend ordered looked good.

I ordered Khao Muh Daeng (thinly sliced crispy Pork Belly and home-made sweet Pork) paired with white rice, boiled egg and 2 different Thai sauces. Thai food never fail me. It was very tasty and yet not expensive. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 And as for the restaurant itself, it is quite small and can only accommodate 8 sitting people. I hope they could relocate in a more spacious area but of course still within the Reinickendorfer Strasse. I will definitely go back and try their other dishes! 😊

Es gibt kein Service oder Ambiente sondern man bestellt der Reihe nach wenn man danach gefragt wird und wartet dann 30 min. Aber zu Recht!

Das Ambiente ist furchtbar, das Essen ist eher durchschnittlich, eben Imbiss.

Wer Bangkok kennt ,versteht die autentische Küche und diese reizende ,,old lady, ich war begeistert.

Had an incredible Thai green curry here!! Up there with the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Amazing flavour combination, so authentic. My partner had a pad Thai which was also delicious. We went when it was quiet so food didn’t even take long at all :) very good value too

The place is horrible, under our table there were empty bottles of beer and the smell was all over, the staff rude and we got food poisoning.. I guess I was expecting a very local Thai experience and I got everything but what I was hoping for :(

They don’t even deserve an half star. They kicked us out because we were with kids. Not kids friendly, super rude. As they said, go somewhere else if you are with kids👍🏾

Amazing, The food's cheap and tasty. Pad thai and soup were very good, both packed with shrimp and meat. The auntie cooking is so kind and sweet, she really wants you too have some good food, if you don't like particular items she will exchange them for you. You'll have to wait for your food a little longer and be lucky to get a seat but that is totally fine considering the whole experience. We will be back for sure.

Eine absolute Perle der thailändischen Restaurants in Berlin. Rein abgesehen vom warmen und sympathischen Ambiente im Laden selbst, ist das Essen echte Spitzenklasse.

Habe großes Verständnis, dass man länger warten muss, aber ich verstehe nicht, wenn man nach etlichen Jahren Erfahrung sich komplett falsch einschätzt und mit der Wartezeit so dermaßen untertreibt. Entweder es ist Absicht und die Dame lügt, oder sie kann einfach nach all den Jahren in dem Business immer noch nicht einschätzen, wie lang sie pro Gericht braucht. Sie sagte mir es würde ca. 40 min dauern. Ich habe aber 3x so lange gewartet!! Also über 120 Minuten auf ein Pad Thai. Fänds einfach fair, wenn sie mit den Kunden transparent ist und ehrlich sagt, dass es über eine std dauern wird, anstatt so zu tun, als würde es „schnell“ gehen.

Super leckeres Essen. Man muss ein wenig Geduld mitbringen. Es ist das warten aber auf jeden Fall wert.

Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Rezensionen (weder gute noch schlechte) aber heute habe ich zum 3. mal in den letzten drei Monaten mein Essen nicht bekommen, weil es an andere Personen falsch herausgegeben wurde. Es waren nur vier Personen im Laden, sodass nicht zu viel los gewesen ist und trotzdem wurde die Bestellung falsch herausgegeben. Ich musste 45 Minuten warten, um dann mein Essen nicht zu bekommen. Das ist eigentlich das Ärgerliche daran. Das Essen ist aber normalerweise immer super gewesen. Deshalb empfehle ich den Kunden ihre Nummern und die Bestellung genau zu checken. Leider haben Sie aus Prinzip einen Kunden verloren, da (voraussichtlich unbeabsichtigt) die Zeit nicht wert geschätzt wird. Schade!

Hands down the best Thai food in Berlin...maybe the best I've ever had. Super authentic, spicy but not burning. Be prepared to wait a bit, but it is so worth it!! Highly recommend the green curry.

Places might look small or in a weird location but the food is amazing! There is a grandmother who cooks and she makes the food by herself! All the ingredients are fresh and she makes the food right in front of you. She is incredibly and definitely has magic in her hands! It is one of the best Thai place I have ever tried in the world!

Grime and dust covered tables & everything else - check Small, cramped interior designed to elbow folks on the next table (there are just 2 tables inside) - check Cranky auntie single-handedly cranking out the dishes - check Waiting time if at least half an hour - check Experience will leave you emotionally scarred - check Totally worth it though. I’m a regular now, mostly for takeout. You just need to strategize like order food then do your groceries, etc.

i’ve been meaning to check out dan thai food and it did not disappoint. the perfect infusion of the thai spices and aroma was so tasty in my mouth. i’m so grateful this sweet no-frills spot exists in berlin. yummmm & yes, patience is a virtue here - especially when it is one legendary human cooking up a storm in the small space. perhaps bring a tupperware if you prefer to takeaway, or come during non-peak hours. a true, rare gem. will be back!

Absolut lecker und kultig! Die manchmal wechselnden, älteren thailändischen Ladies, die alle Gerichte super köstlich, authentisch und doch sehr vielfältig zubereiten, sind zwar nicht die Königinnen der Kommunikation, aber geben alles, um aus dem sehr kleinen und eher unscheinbaren Laden mit Kuschelpotential ein Geschmackshighlight im Wedding zu schaffen. Manchmal ein wenig Zeit mitbringen, aber das Ergebnis entschädigt für das Warten. Habe noch kein Gericht entdeckt, was mir nicht schmeckte.

At first sight inconspicuous and uninviting looking place but the food is amazing! You might wait a bit to get it (as there is only one lady who prepares all the dishes from the scratch) but it is totally worth it. I highly recommend crispy duck - wow! Also the prices are a nice surprise - approx. 6-8€ per dish.

Der Laden macht einen sehr authentisch Eindruck. Die Damen welche das Essen zubereiten sind sehr freundlich. Essen war sehr gut und reichlich. Sehr günstig. Ca. 20 Min Wartezeite aufs Essen. Alles in allem wirklich Top.

If you pass by this restaurant, it won't call your attention: it looks like a usual vietnamis restaurant...but you should stop! open the menu, with a great selection of recepiets, seat in front of the square, always full of life, and enjoy the best vietnamis food in town, with fresh and tasty products. The servise is not as friendly as the Italian standards, but very very fast.

Klare 5 Sterne für die Berliner Institution! Das Warten lohnt sich definitiv, dann das Padthai schmeckt wie in Bangkok am Streetfoodmarkt in Talad Noi! Das Schweinefleisch ist perfekt und die Köchin einfach großartig! Kann man sich nur wünschen, dass die Dame uns noch möglichst lange bekocht! Und das bei den Preisen!

Update, we came back for more and they seem to have changed their hours, but haven't listed them anywhere :( Short version - truly the best Thai food I've ever tried - a wide variety of spice levels and flavors in such a small, cozy hub! :) - just note there's very limited seating and everything is made to order so plan accordingly when you can :) we planned to take our food to go, but then the one table for four opened up before our food was ready so we snagged it ;) Long version - A friend of mine who lived in Cambodia for several years texted me and said he was going to try this cute well-rated Thai place for dinner - later that evening he text again and let me know it was "THE BEST just like in Thailand" - lucky enough to be in Berlin at the time, I went with a group of friends the next day and am already looking forward to my next visit. We tried a curry dish, the pork and broccoli, and two noodle/veggie dishes and everyone was thrilled with theirs and each other's. There's also most additional toppings you can think of if you want to add spiciness in any way later. But I absolutely did not need it because the red curry was so delicious. The portions are absolutely reasonable but a couple of us did order some spring rolls because we wanted something to top off our meal ;)

Der Thai-Park in Berlin ist schon eine schöne Sache, aber an Dan Thai Food kommt keiner rein. Hier gab es das beste und authentischste Pad Thai bisher :) Und die Damen im Restaurant sind auch lieb. Da nimmt man die erhöhte Wartezeit doch gerne in Kauf :)

THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD IVE EVER EATEN!! Atmosphere was so great everyone had such positive vibes, very friendly with all their customers. Food… insane. My friend and I have never eaten that fast in our lives.. it was to die for, definitely worth the wait time of around 40mjn-1h. The entire place smells wonderful, I have never been more sure of missing 1h of outdoor cinema movie in order to wait and get this food. Recommend this place with my entire soul

The green curry is amazing. This has to be the most authentic Thai in Berlin! 🔥 when you ask for it spicy they say no. It's already spicy and they're not wrong, it has a nice level of heat.

The best food in Berlin, you cannot beat that taste. And yes, it is closed half of the time you try to go there and yes, you wait an hour to get a food, but it is still worth it. People in Berlin love to wait in queues for a long time and I think that’s really stupid. One exception in the whole city for me is Dan Thai.

Lecker und authentisch. Durchschnittliche Wartezeit für einfaches Pad Thai und Fried Rice ca 2h. Muss man also echt mögen. Gute Preise dafür.
