I've had yellow rice here before, but I'm sorry it's not really good... the chicken is rancid, the tempeh isn't good. The atmosphere of the place is really cold too... total schade huhu

TLDR: All in all it is just so so, we were rather disappointed! Details: we have ordered Ayam woku grandma and salted chicken egg! The dishes only came just with rice, 2 slices of cucumber and one slice of tomato. To survive in Berlin market, I think they need to step up their game, put a bit veggies element, let's say add stir fry veggies in every dishes as side dish. These menu seems to be sooo lonely and won't attract customer to come back- at least people like me- I'm not sure if I will come back for just rice n chicken- that's it. Hopefully they read our comment and do something about it. I was also surprised- a resto with seating possibility but doesn't provide toilet for their customer- I'm not sure if this is even legal/ allowed!

Tried the Nasi Kuning set then went back for the Ayam Woku. Best Indonesian food in Berlin! Felt like I was back in Indonesia 🤤 and the sambal is 🌶️🌶️ 😍 if you know you know! Tempe mendoan and batagor also were 🤌🤌

This cannot be called a restaurant but a very small eatery. Places for a number of people who can eat on site. Too bad they didn't have a toilet. I had to go to the toilet somewhere outside in another restaurant, hence 1 star less. Perhaps a tip: also put on the website that you do not have a toilet for customers.

Très bons plats servis rapidement, ferme tôt 21h. Carte peu fournie, personnel accueillant et bilingue dont anglais ( voir trilingue). Petite échoppe qui axe plus le ''à emporter''. Un plat ( de résistance ) suffit amplement. N'hésitez pas à demander des sauces ou plus de piment.

I had the yellow rice and it was tasty and well balanced meal (meat, rice and veg). Service was great. I needed to use the restroom. The restroom was not normally open to the public and had to be accessed by going out and around into the courtyard to enter from the back door. The server was so helpful and she came to the back to let me into the washroom.

It‘s a small modern Asian eatery serving delicious Indonesian food. Super clean, super neat! Why 4 not 5 stars? Food is very reasonably priced, soft drinks and water is, unfortunately, heavily overpriced. Eat more, drink less.

I was lucky to try some signature dishes over their 3rd anniversary with 14€. The gado-gado starter was full of flavors (peanut and lemongrass) and textures (lettuce, potato, bean sprouts, tempe and cucumber). The chicken in Ayam woku was well-cooked, tender and real asian spicy. Iced tea (kind of barley tea)was a great and light finish.

I tried the starters V1-V3. The tempeh and gado gado were great, the ragout was medium. The ingredients are fresh, the coating is crispy, the sauce is wonderful: all in all, a treat in a bistro atmosphere for Asian connoisseurs. I'll definitely stop here more often, nice new location!

Pretty new store on danziger with a few seats inside. Probably some more seating will follow for outside. Insides, the design is very clean, the food was super tasty and for a very good price. I was surprised by the portions, so this is definitly something I will now be more often. I was there very late so they only had water and coke left as drinks but that was alright.

Daily Warteg is always a highlight! Many thanks to Gabi and the super friendly and professional staff. I've often had V1 or V2 as a starter and O2 vegetarian or vegan - just great! The taste and the atmosphere are simply unique - fantastic!

I have heard a lot about this place before going there. I visited their new location (some old review photos may be showing the old location) and I have to say that it didn't disappoint. The flavors, the spiciness, the prices, the hospitality, everything was just perfect! I cannot recommend this place enough to whoever is craving Indonesian food.

I'm not really convinced by the concept. My meal was tasty, but a bit overwhelming. It's cheap, but the price/performance doesn't seem to be quite right for me. My purely personal impression.

What an absolute gem!💎 Located in Berlin Penzberg and the restaurant itself has a very cozy vibes. Moreover, the dishes are just the best! My favs are Nasi Kuning and Chicken salted egg. They also have some options for vegetarians! It is based on self-service but the owners and employees there are very helpful! Must visit everytime in Berlin🔥

They were very friendly. All the flavors were balanced. I especially liked their Manis soy sause sauce.

They don't have menus, you have to scan a QR code and login to your Google account to download a 43 MB, four-page PDF file. Also, the restaurant has more than 10 seats and should have guest toilets according to the law (§ 4 GastV Berlin). The food is delicious and very authentic, however.

Very good place to get Indonesian and Singaporean food. I especially liked the Salted Egg Chicken. It's a very unique taste. The Yellow Rice Set (Nasi Kuning) also tastes very good. My default go to Indonesien place.

Kebetulan main ke Berlin dan tinggal di dekat Bahnhof, nyari makanan Indonesia di sekitaran dan menemukan hidden gem ini. Makananya tidak terlalu banyak pilihan tapi rasanya enak. Nasi kuningnya enak sekali, satenya juga besar-besar dan saus kacangnya oke. tempatnya agak sedikit nyempil, tidak banyak tempat duduk, mungkin lebih cocok untuk take away.

Tasty street food! The staff is very nice too. They have a couple of tables inside and outside, but most people order takeout.

Lovely food! I often order Grandma's Recipe Ayam Woku.... But everytime i remember to make pictures the food was already gone to my belly 😂 but this time i try their Pre-Order menu. Last week was Nasi Lemak Set. Well done, the flavour was all on point. There's not so much place that can deliver South East Asian flavour in Berlin, but this one is exception. Can't wait to have my Mie Ayam Jamur for this week pre-order. If you want to try something other than from their usual menu, be sure to follow their Instagram for more updates like Weekly special menu. I don't understand those comments below that claim as very acknowledged with Indonesian Singaporean food and says that it's not like Indonesian or Singaporean. I think they need more travel and eat directly from the origin places. Some comments are not reliable.

Essen war okay aber nichts besonderes . Ich habe in Singapur gewohnt und daher mehr erwartet. Positiv ist, dass es für Vegetarier/Veganer tolle Fleischalternativen gibt

Gado Gado, kenne ich sonst anders. Der Salat sah so unappetittlich aus, wir konnten/wollten das nicht essen. Ich glaube 13,40€ haben wir bezahlt, Reis kostete mit 2,50€ extra.(Wolt) Schade, wir wollten mal etwas Neues ausprobieren. Vllt haben wir auch einfach ein falsches Gericht bestellt.

Ich kann den Hype um diesen Laden leider nicht verstehen. Die Vorspeisen waren noch das beste. Die Hauptspeisen fanden wir nicht besonders und dem Preis auch nicht angemessen.

Während meiner letzten Reisen durch Indonesien habe ich seine kulinarischen Spezialitäten für mich entdeckt. Wieder zurück in Berlin, habe ich diese jedoch schon relativ schnell wieder vermisst. Zum Glück bin ich, wie es der Zufall so wollte, auf das Daily Warteg gestoßen, welches sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Berliner Hauptbahnhof befindet. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist recht überschaubar. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet und die Wartezeit ist sehr gering. Dazu gibt es auch noch eine Auswahl an diversen Tee- und Kaffeespezialitäten, welche ich noch aus meiner Zeit aus Indonesien kenne. Das Essen hier ist eine leckere und gesunde Alternative zu vielen anderen Schnellimbissen und auch für Veganer geeignet. Es ist möglich vor Ort im Innen- oder Außenbereich zu essen oder sich das Essen mitgeben zu lassen. Außerdem kann man sich das Essen per Lieferservice liefern lassen oder sogar für Veranstaltungen/ Events ein Cateringservice buchen. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und man hat die Möglichkeit bargeldlos zu bezahlen. Die Größe der Portion war für mich ausreichend, um satt zu werden und die Preise waren auch angemessen, insbesondere da die Speisen qualitativ sehr hochwertig sind und frisch zubereitet werden. Generell sind die Speisen überhaupt nicht scharf, wenn man es jedoch lieber schärfer mag, kann man sein Gericht mit dem entsprechenden Sambal beliebig nachwürzen. Meine Favoriten sind das Nasi Kuning Set, Gado Gado, Singapore Satay und fried Lumpia und bisher hatten meine Gerichte immer eine konstant bleibende hervorragende Qualität und einen sehr authentischen Geschmack.

I ordered the Nasi Kuning Set. I thought the tempeh was good & crunchy, and the rice had a good flavor, but everything was fried and quite oily and made me feel sick for the rest of the day. As an amateur cook, I know there's other ways to deliver flavor other than frying or adding a lot of oil to everything. I was worried about this, but really wanted to try Indonesian food in Berlin, after making it a couple of times at home and eating it once at a catered event. All-in-all, too expensive for the experience and qaulity.

Witziger Streetfood Spot am Hauptbahnhof. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten vor Ort sind sehr spartanisch, authentisch eben. Das Essen war wie im Urlaub. Man bestellt und bezahlt, danach wartet man mit einem Buzzer. Die Wartezeit war in Ordnung und mir hat es sehr gut geschmeckt.

Verdammt leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen! Auch für Vegetarier- und Veganer:innen ist viel leckeres dabei.

Es war köstlich und ungewöhnlich! Ich bin lange an diesem Ort vorbeigelaufen und wusste nicht, dass es ein Café ist:))

Really delicious food and friendly service. The food was prepared quickly and there was a nice little seating area for up to about 12 people outside. I also enjoyed that they provided metal cutlery to eat it with so it was a more pleasant eating experience than just a standard street food vendor. Would definitely recommend and will be trying other dishes if I ever have some time at Berlin station again.

Super leckeres Essen, das man auch nicht an jeder Ecke bekommt, nich ganz billig aber angemessen für die Qualität und Gegend. 😉 Auch Exotische Kaffeegetränke kann man sich hier zu gemüte ziehen z.B. Kaffe mit Ingwer.. der war überraschend lecker. Immer ein Besuch wert.

It was a cute place, always nice to support a small business! There is no real seating, a few boxes outside but it’s not a restaurant. It’s a takeout place! There is a park nearby so it’s perfect for a picnic. The menu is small but there is both meat and veggie dishes. The food itself is ok, tasty but was quite dry as there was no sauce on the egg chicken. Overall it was nice given the price and location!

Ganz nett . Authentisch indonesisch. Die Portionen sind allerdings etwas klein. Und auch nicht soooo billig. Teurer jedenfalls als Araber oder Inder. Essen schmeckt nicht übel. Hatte gkaub ich Gado-gado, Bakso ubd Sate Atmosphäre innen war etwas trist und imbissmässig. Ist im Sommer draussen sicher schöner. Viele Gäste kommen wohl mittags von den Büros drumherum zum Lunch. Staff sind indonesische Studis. Für die Essens-Mengen ist es etwas leicht überteuert.

Daily Warteg is a hidden gems of Berlin south east Asia culinary. Located in busy street between Mainstation and offices area makes this place bit unseen. But ! The food is good ! Indonesian food with touch of Singaporean and street style with great attention on detail and taste. Try their yellow rice served with grilled chicken, egg in chili paste and dried sweet n spicy tempeh, it’s delicious with mild spicy and savory herbs hint. The fried tempeh is so crispy, bit oily but not greasy. The ambiance is chill, bit cold in winter but fine with the warm food.
