The food is really tasty but the service is very unfriendly!!!

Prompt service. Friendly staff. Very loud place. Food was good.

We ate here for the first time. The reception was friendly and the restaurant was already busy. Food and drinks are a bit more expensive, but that's understandable given the location. The food was good, we had sole, pizza and lasagna. Something was missing from the fish, and the service immediately offered to bring the food back or bring in what was missing. We can't complain about the service, we didn't try to add a tip on our own. There is only one star deduction for the table space. We sat in the winter garden and every now and then it felt cold through the sash windows. There were heaters and blankets, but unfortunately they couldn't absorb everything. Nevertheless, it was a lovely culinary evening.

We are students at Humboldt University and were going to grab a quick bite to eat during our lunch break today. We had brought two cups of coffee that we had basically finished, but forgot to throw the cups away and we didn't take a single sip in the restaurant, only to be accosted rudely by the waiter! We were also forced to take a tip later! I would suggest that if you don't know what good service is, you shouldn't open a restaurant in Berlin, after all, the city is not short of places to eat!

This place stands out for its exceptional quality and flavor among many similar restaurants. Unlike many others, it isn’t overcrowded or overbooked, even on a weekend night – walk-ins are usually welcome. There is an open kitchen and wood-fired pizza, the food is reasonably priced, yet the quality, presentation, and taste far surpass most similar Italian places in the area. They also have seasonal specials which are well worth a try. Highly recommend for a dinner in Mitte.

Pizza is big and okay but very expensive. The prices are disproportionately high due to the location and the number of tourists. There are heaters, but they are very loud so you can hardly have a conversation. It's probably okay.

The prices are definitely higher because of the location where many tourists pass by, but the pizzas are big and very decent actually. Service was not exceptionally good or bad and the interior I think was cozy I liked it.

As far as food is concerned, the dishes are abundant and of good quality, my negative review below, I find it regrettable what they did to me when paying, they marked the price of the food and a supplement of 5 on the dataphone euros as a tip which I do not authorize and, the good thing comes now, the waiter takes the credit card out of my hand and runs it through the dataphone without my consent... pathetic and embarrassing, evidently they returned the 5 to me euros. Unfortunately the waiter, who already has his dislike and lack of desire to work written on his face, bothered him even in the city where we came from, just like going with a baby stroller, they look at you badly, when those who are really annoying are those unfriendly waiters who hate their lives and the lives of others, it's a shame not to be able to report you, bunch of scammers, you surely have the kitchen staff exploited

Food and fast service, we have been twice and we will NOT return. When paying, one of the waiters decided to charge €8 more than the bill for his tip, without asking... when I realized that, I told him no, that the bill was €42 and that when paying by card it was €42, he canceled and came back. He put €50 in the card machine and he took the card from my husband's hands and passed it to him. I already told him no, that's not how things work... and he told me there was no problem and gave me back a €5 bill in cash. I find this waiter's gesture very strong. The first time another waiter served us and he did explain that we wanted to leave a tip, but in no case did he decide to charge it on his own. He didn't recommend that you go, if you go, be careful with these types of details if you don't realize it, they'll sneak it in. Normal food, abundant dishes. Bottle of water €7.50

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. We entered and took a seat, and shortly after, a waiter with glasses came to take our order. My husband wanted to ask about a specific pasta dish to see if it could be served with chicken. However, while my husband was speaking, the waiter rudely interrupted him, saying, "Read the menu carefully," and walked away. His behavior was incredibly impolite, which upset both my husband and me. My husband suggested leaving immediately, but I was very hungry, and he had an appointment in half an hour, so we didn’t have time to look for another place. We stayed and ordered food, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. The pizza and pasta were top-notch. Despite the bad service from the waiter, I recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food. If it weren't for the waiter’s attitude, I would have rated it five stars. I plan to visit again, but if I experience such behavior again, I’ll make sure to report it directly to the chef.

Unfortunately not as expected. Not honest and friendly service, more interested in money. The food looked very good, but tasted a bit plain. We also felt very observed and would not dare to visit again.

I can't emphasize enough how much we appreciate our favorite restaurant! Every time we eat here the food gets better and better. The quality of the ingredients is outstanding and the dishes are always freshly prepared. The variety on the menu offers something for every taste and the creative combinations are simply fantastic. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly service, which always makes us feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, which makes our visits even more enjoyable. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can only warmly recommend this restaurant!

Too expensive for what it is. Medium quality pizza. Ham cut too thick (should be very thin if it's supposed to be Italian) and of poor quality. Oversized pizza. Instead, make smaller pizzas with better ingredients!

Das Erlebnis im Restaurant war eher mangelhaft. Zum einen ist es in den Räumlichkeiten sehr laut, zum anderen war der Wirt ziemlich unfreundlich und barsch - eher Kantinenniveau. Die Pizza war gut, aber mit ca. 17 Euro auch sehr teuer. Ich kann das Lokal nicht weiterempfehlen, insbesondere wenn man einen schönen Abend erwartet und sich unterhalten möchte.

Very nice Italian restaurant and very reasonably priced for the location and very large portions. It also tasted very good. Authentically for Berlin, you can hear the S-Bahn rattling over the restaurant, which gives it a big city feeling. From the higher seats you have a nice view of the kitchen and can watch how the food is prepared. Highly recommended!

We have had dinner there and it has been very pleasant from the attention we have received from the waiter to the wine, bread and food! Everything exquisite, very nice place:)

Value for money a no go. I really like to spend money on good food, but this was at most a very average Italian restaurant with prices too high for what you received. 35 euros truffle pasta, which really wasn't a highlight. Carelessly prepared & way too much sauce. Pizza Stagioni was okay, but not worth 18 EUR. For these prices I expect a really excellent Italian, this one is rather mediocre. The two of us paid 120 euros for a shared starter (antipasti), 4 aperol spritzes (12 euros per drink) and a main course each. For really mediocre, really inattentive service. In addition, the ambience itself was nice at first glance, but upon closer inspection the benches, for example, were completely shabby and worn out. No recommendation.

Typical italian home cooking located close to the university. Reservations recommended during lunch time. Daily lunch menu is ok but not spectacular.

Brilliant Italian restaurant in the arches of the railway bridge. We went at 6pm on a Tuesday, our waiter was very nice, the food was delicious. We had tagliatelle with chicken in a cream sauce, sea food pizza (they are huge!) and the special spaghetti with a tomato sauce and mussels. Three beers and mains was about €70

The Pizza diavolo was amazing. The attention was also great, and the experience overall was a five-star one. I went back for a new year's pizza again, and it never disappointed. Visit da Vinci!

After my first visit to Da Vinci, where I had a very unpleasant experience, I still decided to give the restaurant a second chance because the food is really delicious. However, I deeply regret this decision. On my first visit the waiter tried to withhold €10 from me when he gave me change, which to me seemed like a blatant attempt at fraud. In addition, some drinks were only handwritten on the bill without being recorded in the cash register system, even though I had ordered them at the same time. Such behavior is unacceptable and raises great suspicion. Then yesterday, on my second visit, I was there with my little daughter and her stroller. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt that I was unwelcome because of the stroller. The waiter actually refused to serve us in the restaurant and suggested that I could only place the order for take-out. This type of treatment is absolutely disrespectful and discriminatory. It seems like the staff intentionally behaves this way when management is not present. The employees are mostly older and seem very dissatisfied with their work, which directly affects the quality of service and creates an unpleasant atmosphere. Although the food at Da Vinci is really excellent, the negative impression prevails due to the disrespectful and unprofessional service behavior. I strongly recommend training the staff better or hiring motivated, more polite employees who can show guests due respect and ensure a pleasant atmosphere.

Often very crowded and very loud. The pizzas are ok, but not exceptional. Sometimes you have to wait longer for service. Priced too excessive.

Octubre 2024 : Este es un bonito restaurante italiano bajo las vías del tren para la estación de tren Friedrichstrasse. Está en una calle lateral de Friedrichstrasse. Los trenes retumban sobre ti, pero eso es parte del ambiente. La comida era buena, precios razonables, buen ambiente.

Fuimos como un grupo de amigos, muy buen servicio, pan de cortesía y aceitunas, Pedí un calzone, que era enorme y sabroso, y a un precio muy razonable

Worst experience ever this was my first meal in Germany and I was traumatized. The pasta was horrible it shouldn’t be called pasta. The server was even worse, he looked at us very angrily and disrespectfully and he had the audacity to demand a big tip at the end of the meal. Good thing : he likes French people bc we are unable to understand his insults in German. They didn’t speak Italian and mocked us for being Italian. They took advantage of us for being tourists. The water was sooooo expensive (we come from Swiss so we know about it). The toilets are great but there was mirror so I could see myself while doing my thing. The price was okay for the food quality (cheap). The guy is unnecessarily mean.

The best place in the West for drinks, good music and entertainment. We'd love to come back!

The food was exceptional, closely resembling the authentic flavors I’ve experienced in Italy. The ambiance of the venue was pleasant, and the pricing was quite reasonable, especially by Berlin’s standards.

After a visit to the restaurant the day before the Berlin marathon, we four all got food poisoning.

We had made a reservation for this restaurant 5 weeks in advance it was for 10 people. When we showed up in the restaurant, our table Wasn’t reserved and the waiters and manager were really rude. They then suggested to give us a table outside in the cold that only catered for nine people and wanted for all of us to squash in. So We decided to leave the restaurant and look for an alternative. They didn’t care less, they were rude and arrogant.

The food was ok, service not really. We get a table next to other people... Ok... They have finished when we get our dishes. When I asked for cheese the guy gave me the almost emptied bowl of cheese from ... The other customer next to me. Uhm... At the end, the total was like 37,50€ he said :"the service is not included, type on the ATM 42€ And waited for me to paid... What the hell... ?

We came with my family and we were impressed by how good (and big) the pizza was. Chilled pizza place near Berlin Dom.

I was alone at Da Vinci - at 10pm or so. Was received very, very friendly! I ordered a pizza with spicy Calabrese salami. It was really exceptionally good! And: Compared to other pizzerias, the salami was really powerful! It had really good sharpness. I often miss that somewhere else. All in all: pizza very good! Ambience nice. Service friendly and competent. Price/performance: very good for the location!

such a long waiting time (around 30 minutes) just to receive very mediocre pizza (which normally wouldn’t bother me but considering the price…) and a soup that was basically just tomato-ish water with literally raw vegetables (i now know how raw cauliflower tastes🥲). only good thing was a huge glass of coca cola whereas normally it would be twice as small. also, the room was really hot and kinda stuffy and the waiter was not the nicest kind. We ate a Risotto that was passable and a chicken salad with spoiled lettuce. The waiter was quite surly. Furthermore, in the end he wanted to charge us five euros more because he said that the service was not included.

Hemos ido a comer recientemente al restaurante y a pesar de que la comida no está mal , el servicio es nefasto y especialmente para extranjeros. Destaco negativamente la actitud y pésima orientación al cliente del camarero mayor con pelo largo. Todo le resultaba molesto y logró que no disfrutásemos lo más mínimo de la comida (dejando casi todo en los platos). Si no le gusta su empleo que lo deje y no que hable de malas formas a los clientes que le dan de comer.

Il Ristorante Da Vinci è un ottimo ristorante Italiano,lo chef Mario Eccezionale appena ci ha visto arrivare ci ha messo a nostro agio coccolandoci con la sua ottima cucina italiana ha preparato la pasta buonissima al dente una volta delle penne all'arrabbiata ,una carbonara e una norma a dir poco eccezionali e abbondandissime,il pizzaiolo anche lui italianissimo una mega pizza con salame piccante e peperoni superlativa,un altra pizza con prosciutto crudo e pomodorini,consiglio a chiunque sia in vacanza a Berlino di venire se si vuole mangiare bene ed italiano,faccio i miei complimenti a tutto lo staff,il signor Guido super gentile e cordiale.

The Da Vinci Restaurant is an excellent Italian restaurant, the exceptional chef Mario as soon as he saw us arrive put us at ease pampering us with his excellent Italian cuisine he prepared delicious pasta al dente once some penne all'arrabbiata, a carbonara and a standard that is nothing short of exceptional and very abundant, the pizza chef is also very Italian, a mega pizza with spicy salami and peppers that is superlative, another pizza with raw ham and cherry tomatoes, I advise anyone on holiday in Berlin to come if you want to eat well and Italian I congratulate all the staff, Mr. Guido is super kind and friendly.

The pizzas are very tasty and huge. The calzone is monstrous and highly recommended. The anchovy pizza was a bit salty for my taste, I don't know if that's normal. Otherwise very good

Service was quite good. The server was attentive enough and was quick with the order, delivery of food and the payment process. The fork initially provided to me had some leftover food but the server immediately changed it as soon as I pointed it out to them. Food was alright. Nothing extraordinary.

The food was OK and not so expensive.we ordered a Quatro fromaggi pasta and they brought us something else. When we asked to change it they told us that they could do it but on charge.

First time I went there, the lasagna was great though they didn’t give me olive unlike other people. Second time, the service was horrible and the spaghetti was also not well cooked. Not sure if that’s because it was lunch time or other reasons i don’t want to talk about.

We were looking for a restaurant in the museum area and decided to try it because of its proximity. Quite a surprise, the service has been good and the food was great, very good quality and very abundant. 2 people can eat one pizza. Very good choice

Da Vinci is a great spot for traditionally delicious Italian food, where many locals come for lunch. The pasta is freshly made here. We truly enjoyed the beef carpaccio for a light start. The salmon tagliatelle was great and the beef lasagna was brilliant. The lasagna is made with a combination of a hearty tomato sauce and a finely made bechamel, perfectly broiled in the oven. The service was not so great. This place tends to get crowded, and they do not have enough waiters to manage the volume.

We decided to try this pizzeria because of its great rating and proximity to the hotel; That night we didn't want to move. The pizzeria is not very elegant, but we were not looking for a palace either, we just wanted to eat well. Upon entering, the first thing we saw were some huge pizzas that made us salivate as if we were in front of a good Asturian fabada. Encouraged, we decided to explore the menu a little more and ordered a chicken salad. Here came the unpleasant surprise: the salad looked like a collage of loose ingredients, as if the chef had decided to do it yourself. However, not even with all the love in the world could we make sense of that tasteless salad that was definitely not worth what it cost. The pizza, on the other hand, was good, although the dough was a little soft. The place was not bad, and the staff was quite friendly, which is always appreciated. But overall, the quality of the food left us colder than a winter day in the Picos de Europa. We would give it a 6 out of 10. If you don't want to move around much and are hungry, it's a decent option, but we wouldn't walk an Asturian league to get here. If you go, go for the pizzas and don't venture too far.

The food was good... the service was TERRIBLE... we were served by a waiter with a very bad manner and humor (an older man with long white hair and glasses) making faces with each order and throwing the dishes... if you are around here... better look for another place... xq This is the first time we have encountered such rude people in Berlin.

Sorry, that was nothing. First, the wrong pizza was delivered. I ordered a Diavolo and then a Parma pizza was delivered to me. The waitress recognized the error after the message was immediately communicated and wanted to suggest that I simply take the ham down and put salami on it - "otherwise they would be the same anyway". Since I didn't want a recycled pizza given the prices quoted, but rather the one I had previously ordered - and fresh, please - I asked them to simply make me a new one. This was also accepted and confirmed to me. After only 3 minutes. Then came the “new” Pizza Diavolo. The only strange thing about it was that a) the rocket was pretty squished and overcooked + b) the salami slices were lying uncut on a pizza that had already been cut. So I still got a recycled pizza. Unfortunately, this is not possible at all and cannot be surpassed in terms of impudence. But it is, because on the bill, to make matters worse, the Pizza Parma was listed, which is more expensive (17 EUR) than the Pizza Diavolo (15.50 EUR). Other "minor" inconveniences: when we arrived, my friend's drink that had been delivered was spilled on the already dirty tablecloth. The whole thing was dabbed with napkins and the napkins were left lying around / the stain was barely covered with them. Not very tasty or clean. Well, the final sambuca is usually lit - not here. Probably too much effort. There was no paper left for hands in the toilets. The waitress tried to be funny and apologized several times for the pizza thing - but blamed the problem that there wasn't a new one on the kitchen. All in all, for the prices that are not particularly cheap here, there is no good service and as a kitchen, tearing apart the wrong pizza that was delivered and then selling it as a new one is an absolute no-go. That was nothing - we definitely won't be coming back and can't do that Do not recommend loading. That's not how you treat customers - thumbs down for the DaVinci on Georgenstrasse in Berlin.

Absolutely wonderful food, the most authentic and professional, one of the best pizza and pasta I have ever had in Germany, love everything about this restaurant

Average food, not italian flavors, nice wine. Not the best attention from the waiter.

The place is picturesque because it is located under the train tracks, which makes it not a very quiet place. However, there is no more noise than on a terrace on a busy street. It is clean, functional and with a small terrace in the back that, if it is hot, is very cozy. The restaurant staff provided exceptional treatment to both my son, who was delighted, and me. Friendly, but not annoying. Detail-oriented, but without being pushy. At all times, attentive to anything we might need and providing us with solutions to some logistical problems, such as arriving at the restaurant at 11:15 p.m. and feeding us three-quarters of an hour before closing. The food is very good. Abundant and tasty. The fresh homemade pastas and very delicious sauces. I don't know about the pizza, because my son ate it all, but according to him it was also very good. It looked good, and the smell was excellent. We had dinner the first day because it was the only place open near the hotel so late and we liked it so much that we went back three more times in the week we spent in Berlin. Affordable price even compared to Madrid (€15-20 per person) and, to make a point, the drinks are somewhat expensive. We will definitely repeat if we return to Berlin.

Just came from Amsterdam where everything was delicious and then in Berlin, the food turned out to be not good and expensive , Da Vinci was a refreshing change. Great food , amazing service and HUGE portions

Best place i've ever been in Berlin

The place lies very central at a location with many restaurants. I liked the interior design, the chandeliers looked pretty cool. The prices for the pizza I ordered were amazing considering the pizza is huge, and the waiter too was very friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic! Shoutout to Sumit for his amazing work and service! The pizza too was made quick and it was tasty. So, I suggest definitely dropping by this place when you’re in Berlin.

I recommend this place Large portions, you can easily eat a pizza for 2 people and be full. The pasta is also big. Delicious pizza, served quickly. A good place for a tourist, close to the center.

Oddly chaotic but charming restaurant. Very tasty Italian food with huge portions (one pizza would feed two people). The service is idiosyncratic in a fun way, and the place seems to always be bustling. The asparagus ravioli was a particularly good dish, that was a five star on its own. Sadly, the mixed antipasti mixes veg, meat and cheese on one platter, meaning vegetarians and vegans miss out in group bookings.

There is wonderful spaghetti with seafood here, although I missed some mussels. Most preparations of this dish in Berlin are impossible. A little more work on it and it is absolutely perfect!!!

Actually quite a nice Italian restaurant with the usual dishes, of course at tourist prices, understandable given the central location. However, the service was so unfriendly that we felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave the store as quickly as possible. Not recommendable.

Waiter kicked us out of the restaurant, for not knowing under €15 you are not allowed to pay with a card. It is written in the menu, though it is small and hidden at the bottom of the page. Was rude through the whole experience and even asked our nationality, possibly, attending other Brazilians even worse. Furthermore, he also scolded us about paying separately and rushed us, when getting the money out. Overall the experience was not enjoyable and I would not recommend this restaurant.
