I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The food was once again delicious.

I've had better. I ordered veal liver with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were like soup and barely seasoned. The liver was chopped into small pieces. The onions were hard to find.

We absolutely love going there. My regular dish is rum steak with Gorgonzola sauce, and instead of potatoes, I prefer tagliatelle 😋 The service is always friendly. It's simply a pleasant place. We'll book a table for Thursday for a nice meal with friends tomorrow ;-)

One of the many Italian restaurants serving pizza, spaghetti, and the like that provide basic gastronomic needs in Germany. The pizza was large and tasted good, and the desserts were also okay. Service was fast and friendly. Large outdoor terrace with retractable awning.

You can tell how much the staff enjoy their work. They're very attentive, but not annoying. The pizza was excellent. I can't remember when I've ever had such a good pizza. The restaurant itself is also very well maintained. I give it a 10/10 in every category. I'll definitely be back.

The food was moderately good. After the starter, we had to wait a long time for our main course (pizza). We had to call for attention to order more drinks. There's clearly not enough attention paid to the guests here, a lack of attention. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. It's a shame; we had hoped for more.

We've been eating here for about a year now. We've been avoiding it because the service and food really didn't blow us away anymore. It's really gone downhill from back then. We give everyone another chance, and what can we say? We were absolutely thrilled with everything. The service was very good, the food was truly worlds better👍🏻. We will definitely be back. Very tasty food with generous portions. Great, large outdoor area, but there was a slight smell from the drain at our table. There were a lot of customers that day, so the longer wait for the food was okay.

A good and busy Italian restaurant, though it's in a somewhat inconvenient spot right next to a busy main road and a bit in the middle of nowhere.

Good food. Fair prices. Good service. Very pleasant restaurant and surroundings.

We ate together as a family at Easter in the well-located restaurant. The menu offered many different extravagant compositions, which sounded really excellent. I chose lamb fillet in a light tomato sauce with olives and spaghetti. The whole thing was described on the menu as slightly spicy, which was exactly the same as the food. The food fulfilled every hope I had. A real culinary delight and a successful composition of the taste of the lamb, the olives and the light tomato sauce served with it was the icing on the cake! In terms of price, the food was a little higher and the portion size was in the middle range (see photo). However, due to the exorbitantly good quality of the food, I would like to say that the food justified the price in every way. Unfortunately, the waiting times within the restaurant were above average; still justifiable and not negative. Due to the busy restaurant at Easter, the noise level in the restaurant was increased, so you definitely had to speak a little louder in order to be able to talk to your family at the same table. I would like to emphasize again that the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic and the other guests I was associated with were also completely satisfied with their food. For the other dishes, too, only the price was considered rather high. As we all know, ambience is always a matter of taste, but I really liked the whole thing. Behind the seating areas there were wine racks built into the walls, which underline the whole thing wonderfully for an Italian restaurant and especially the type of dishes that are offered. The staff was also extremely nice and, although it took a little time, they took care of all concerns flawlessly. If you want to treat yourself and are willing to pay a dollar more for a really good meal, I can recommend with a clear conscience that you take a look at this gem. I will definitely come back and would be happy next time to find the final little icing on the cake to be able to rate the restaurant with a full five stars. I would classify the current rating as 4½ / 5 stars.

In short: it works. Each of the 7 people at my table needed salt, and in general many of the dishes seemed rather uninspired and average. The garnish also has room for improvement: there was a random sprig of dill on each dish... no matter how unsuitable it was to the dish. The service was very friendly. All in all, no reason to repeat.

As a starter there was very mild, delicious olives with bread. It should be said that I have never eaten free olives. This time already. For the main course I had a lasagne which tasted really good and was the best lasagna I have eaten in a long time. At the end there was a nightcap on the house. I was completely satisfied with really good prices. Clear recommendation. 👍

+++ very good food +++ very good atmosphere

All in all, unfortunately disappointing. The carpaccio was ok, but had too much dressing for our taste. It was the same with the beef fillet with tomatoes and capers in its own stock. I thought it would be a beef fillet with tomatoes and minimal beef stock, but what arrived was a fillet that was actually completely soaked and also covered in tomato-vegetable sauce. It reminded me more of a pot roast and unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. I looked in vain for the capers in it, there was just a sour taste. The beef fillet was hard to chew even though it was medium rare. It was incredibly tough, I really couldn't eat it and unfortunately I left it there. The broccoli, cauliflower and carrot vegetables on the side were horrible. Totally bland, not seasoned at all, just tasted like imperial vegetables from the freezer, which is what they were. It's a real shame, such a big restaurant, beautiful location and then incredibly bad food. 3/4 accompanying people were also disappointed. The spaghetti Napoli didn't taste good either, nor did the pasta with beef strips. Pizza Hawaii was ok, but you can't do much wrong. The waiter never refilled the water, we joked that we were the waiters ourselves and poured each other the water from the bottle. Actually, it is common practice and part of good service for the waiter to refill the empty water glass. What a shame. We won't come again and would rather go into town to eat at an authentic Italian restaurant and spend a little more money and take the further route.

There are less than 3 hours between the undercooked liver with the cold mashed potatoes and the diarrhea. We went there for lunch today, not for the first time. The ambience is really inviting and the staff quite friendly too. However, the food has lost a lot of quality in the last two years! As written at the beginning. The liver wasn't cooked through, the capu was perhaps from yesterday or even older. At least they didn't microwave it long enough as it was hot on the outside but really cold on the inside of the lump. The broccoli came from the same microwave! The sauce, which in itself was not a bad idea, had a sour taste, as if it was ready for the trash. What caused the diarrhea was probably the mixture of not being ready and being too old. And the whole thing costs €20.50...

Whether cocktails in the summer, a hot chocolate on a winter walk or good steak or pasta when you have more time - the Waldkater is great.

A very warm welcome and very friendly staff. The food was very good and the price/performance ratio was absolutely ok. Good parking options, even for larger cars (we were there in a motorhome). It was just a little cold inside Restaurant, despite a cozy fireplace.

I don't even know how often we've eaten here now. It is our favorite restaurant in the area. We like the ambience, the service is impeccable, but the constant staff also counts, which makes a big difference these days and they always try to fulfill all your wishes and also ask every now and then whether everything is okay, whether it tastes good, whether you need anything else needs. The food is great, although we have to say that we usually take the same thing because it is just so delicious. It would be great if there was an option for short pasta, especially for children, but cutting spaghetti into small pieces is actually quick. But that would be such a tiny little thing that would be kind of great. You're doing great, keep it up. I would recommend a reservation as it is also busy during the week :)

We celebrated two occasions with the family. Unanimous opinion, best Italian we have met so far. Ambiance is simply harmonious. Service particularly friendly and hospitable. Felt very comfortable!!!! And most importantly, we tried probably 20 dishes and they all tasted great. You could give more stars than 5 😉👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 thanks to the team. 😋

The quality of the food is very good, the portions are becoming increasingly manageable. Price/performance ratio is pretty borderline. But what doesn't work at all are the temperatures there, so I won't go there anymore. I felt cold twice while eating. What was also very negative in November was when a guest put his dog on his lap and let it sniff the empty plate and the waiter did nothing about it.

People who don't see well should have a small lamp with them to read the map. The atmosphere is very cozy. You should have already used the toilet at home. Price performance, as far as the food is concerned, is top.

I ordered a leg of goose for at least €28. What was delivered didn't even have the look. Two identical bones on one club! The meat on it was more reminiscent of a pigeon.

Great Italian restaurant with attentive service and a good menu

A very nice, cozy restaurant, I felt very well looked after. I can't comment on the food because I've only had it once. The salad I had was very good.

A normal Italian restaurant, the upper floor seems a bit dingy, lots of dust, lots of cobwebs on the railings and furniture. The food is ok but the price-performance ratio doesn't fit, a bit too expensive for run-of-the-mill dishes.

I ordered the beef fillet and was very surprised, extremely tender and beautifully prepared. There were rosemary potatoes with vegetables and a salad as a starter. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant, although it was a bit loud.

It's very beautiful there. The staff is more than friendly and it tastes great. It was my husband's birthday and the waiter probably noticed and brought tiramisu with a sparkler. It's rare to find something this great

We were there in mid-September 2024 without a reservation. With good friends who recommended this restaurant. We didn't get a parking space and were about to drive back when the employees came and explained that we should just park just before the barrier. Great. We were immediately assigned a table for four people. The restaurant became packed within a short space of time. (it was the middle of the week). But everything worked. Our friends told us that even though they had been here a few times, they had NEVER seen it so crowded. We were able to easily bridge the waiting time with bread and olives. The food served was consistently okay. I have never seen the wait staff RUN in a restaurant in my life. Here for the first time. And yet was attentive and courteous. We will definitely come back.

Four years ago it was considered great with 5 stars, but last year it made a lot of compromises, which have now unfortunately been confirmed. The guys are nice and reasonably fast, the atmosphere is great - but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Standard frozen vegetables, sweet and tasteless, the same on all plates. Garlic as the main spice in abundance in all dishes. You don't even bother adding the garlic discreetly and in edible sizes to the food anymore. A parmesan crust that doesn't even begin to consist of parmesan and tagliatelle with salmon in lobster sauce that is more than tasteless - a shame. I could list more but... It's a shame that you've been so slacking off.

Spaghetti Amatriciana? Non ci siamo. Un misto di brodaglia con spicchi di aglio interi, pezzi di cipolle quasi superiore ai 5 centimetri, pomodorini ok. E capperi…. Peccato perché la location mi è piaciuta molto e il personale è davvero gentile. La pasta l’avrei tolta 2 minuti prima per essere al dente. Prezzi onesti. Non ho provato altro. Meriterebbe una seconda possibilità ma sono di passaggio. Quindi 3 stelle su 5.

We were at the Union Dragon Boat Race and wanted to have a delicious Italian meal, so I googled and found you with your good review. My girlfriend and I had tagliatelle pollo and spaghetti ametriciana and 2 mascarpone sundaes with strawberries. Everything was very tasty and suited our taste. We would be happy to come back. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Thank you :)
