I can wholeheartedly recommend this quaint restaurant. I've been frequenting it for over 40 years now and it has always remained cheap and tasty over the years.

It's been an institution since the 70s. All social classes meet here in the evenings, it's winding. You order at the counter. You either love it or you hate it.

We love this little Italian! The food is super delicious and the prices are absolutely awesome. An absolute gem for this location! You don't expect such great authentic Italian food at these low prices. I always eat the same thing because it tastes so delicious - tortellini panna. This time I tried the tiramisu and it is a dream - really Italian - I have a friend who also comes from Italy and he tastes it the same way. Not too espresso-heavy and the cream doesn't taste that strong, but overall it has a lightness to it! Hard to describe, you just have to taste it and the price for this huge portion is awesome! So far we've always been able to get a seat and you don't have to wait long for your food. Always recommend this restaurant and will show it to everyone.

Delicious, fresh, cheap, just great, a regular guest for years and always pleasantly surprised, a real Italian Heart of Berlin with the fairest prices!

I had the lasagna here and it was perfect! The place looks small from the outside but has plenty tables inside. Will definitely pay them a visit again.

Lovely little hideaway for pizza and pasta. You can get whole pies or by the slice Neapolitan style. Friendly fast service and plenty of seating in a cozy atmosphere. Nice wine cappuccino and espresso for after the meal. One of my favorite places for a treat.

Update: in our eyes, we are no longer so happy with them, as they overcharged us in the last time that we went there... Based on our personal experiences, this restaurant has a great atmosphere, good quality ingredients on the pizza, and very fair prices. All in all, I recommend this place, even if you are far away from it.

Really nice traditional and authentic Italian restaurant. The pepperoni pizza, Napoli Gnocchi and tagliatelle carbonara were fantastic. Definitely worth a try.

Disgusting! The man threw the pizza on the plate so that all the toppings were gone. We each had 5 pieces and threw 16 euros in the trash! I would prefer to give 0 stars

A restaurant full of life, full of hustle and bustle, full of friendliness, but without hecticness. The spagetti with fennel salcicia was really tasty and the salami pizza was great and even the glass of wine was very appropriate. Of course it is a little cramped, but since everyone is in a good mood and knows that this is part of it, it only contributes to the overall result. Oh, the prices are simply pleasing.

The self-service pizzeria is cult! I've been eating there occasionally since the 90's. Mini pizza still costs €1.50 and still tastes delicious! The opening times are also special! Even at 10-11 p.m. there's still mini pizza or whatever you want! Opening time: 11 a.m. - 12 a.m.♥️

I've been eating there since 1980. You have to like the atmosphere. I feel like I'm in Sicily in the 80s. Quality and service are always very good, no matter when you come by. Prices top Ciao, see you soon

Lady at the counter was unfriendly, acting as if someone forced her to work here. They charge you 5€ for lettuce with dressing.

The food is very tasty there. I've been there many times and it's always been tasty. There are enough small seats, inside and outside. The ambience is just a matter of taste. But it's enough to eat. You have to pick up the food yourself at the counter. So you can't call it a restaurant.

Best price for a slice of Italy in Berlin

Came here to eat the good mini pizza. This is great. Like before in Alt-Mariendorf. So far.....yesterday it was unfortunately lukewarm. Completely unnecessary. I would also like pasta. 2 out of 3 dishes were conjured up. One of them was the wrong type of pasta. The third dish only came when asked. The taste of the pasta dishes corresponds to the price. The traditional Italian treatment is included free of charge. The crew obviously forgets that there are also native Berliners who come to eat here. In the future, if at all, only the mini pizza. Too bad.

I've known Taomina since the 70s. Back when I was a student, it was always a starting point for my friends and me. To this day I love the Pizza Aglio - the pure lesson - for anyone who likes garlic. But the Scampi or Tono pizza is also great. Then as now, the prices are moderate and if I'm in the area, I'm a guest. I always found the service at the counter nice and friendly and was happy to leave a tip. The furnishings are spartan and still reflect the charm of the 70s. It doesn't bother me, it just reminds me of the good old days! I hope you stay with us for as long as possible!

if you are Italian don't go there. inedible food. the owner (Italian) should just be ashamed...

If this restaurant is considered Italian, then I am a dinosaur. I have tried few items and I would really give it 1 out of 5. There is literally nothing special about them. Nothing special with the dough, sauces and very low-mid quality toppings. İf you are reaaaally hungry it can be a price/performance option but if your concern is the money, just get a frozen pizza for a cheaper price. Believe me it would worth better. Totally a disappointment and a confusion as well since the owner is Italian.

What matters 3 stars service or the atmosphere, Good that the pizza was good, that's what matters. Maybe the atmosphere is what also attracts the pizza made by those Italians.

The pizza was delicious for its price. I had also visited this restaurant in 2018, and the quality has remained just as good as it was back then. The restaurant’s ambiance gave me the feeling of a classic, nostalgic eatery.

The employees are friendly. The location is very good and the price is right. The interior reminds me more of a Hamburg fish market than an Italian restaurant. The price of the food is comparatively cheap for this location in the city center. However, the pizza doesn't taste good at all. Neither the vegetarian nor the tuna pizza. So if you just want to get full, you can go here. However, if you are looking for something that tastes good and can spend more money, you should look for an alternative.

Over 40 years ago. We were young and hungry. And little money in your pocket. Piccola Taormina was our second address. 1 DM a piece of sheet pizza. 1 DM red wine in a plastic cup. I'll never forget that time. Thank you very much Italian Amigo's.

Greatest impudence! People who are so unfriendly and have no idea about hospitality should not work in the catering industry! Holding back the plate before he gets .50 cents for his broccoli has nothing to do with service. In every curry sausage snack bar you would have let your REGULAR CUSTOMERS eat first. The guy doesn't have them all anymore. It's always unfriendly but today's action has topped everything so far. Never again!

I've known Teormina since 1990. That was great cooking by Nino and Richardo with the whole family! Unfortunately quality has deteriorated! Pizza has become small, fat and doesn't taste good! Today we ordered mussels and it was another disaster! Very small mussels, the sauce spilled out of the packaging and didn't taste like it used to!!! Too bad

We go here pretty regularly on our lunch break. The pizza is more to my liking than other Italians that taste carbonara. Just the thing about pineapple on the pizza... That's questionable.

The store was packed on Sunday evening. I was there with my Italian girlfriend. Her pasta was cooked twice as long. My pizza would have needed some more time. But in the end I didn't care. I know the shop from the beginning of the 80s and actually forgive it everything because I'm happy that it's still there

Authentic Italian self-service restaurant. I've been here several times now and everything I ordered tasted very good It is also very inexpensive. The hustle and bustle at the ordering counter is phenomenal.

Everyone liked it very much in the comments, but the pizza was unlike anything else. You can enjoy it more with any pizza-like product you make at home than you would from here. I still can't figure out how it has such a high score. The ambiance is nice. The environment is not bad. But the pizzas are a disaster.

It doesn't deserve a try. Tried 3 different pizzas. Some are oily, the after taste of the oil is really bad. Maybe the oil quality used.. Non of the 3 options was good, only average and below average. Hygiene wise, it's so bad, the chef is dealing with the system, cash, food, all without any gloves or washing before/after. The place itself is not clean including the tables. It's also an old building and needs renovation maybe inside. I don't recommend it.

It was full...as always, a good thing. Tourists behave....could tell us. A cleaner from Algeria is a wonderful person...I had forgotten my jacket, he came out and handed it over with love, unfortunately underpaid.I refused a tip. It was about his dignity. God give him a little peace of happiness

The dough is very similar to the one I get in the supermarket as a ready-made mix and unfortunately it wasn't baked really crispy. It was still white with a slight golden brown color and was completely sagging. The sauce was also very simple, otherwise well topped. Well-known self-service restaurant that could be renovated again.

It's lucky that they still exist. Real Italians and real Italian cuisine🙏🙏🙏🙏.. There are so many supposed Italian restaurants and pizzerias around Berlin, East Berlin and Brandenburg (unfortunately I moved out of Berlin). But almost always in Arab and Turkish hands and no Italian chefs/pizza makers and you can taste that immediately if you know what Italian tastes like. Please stay with us for a long time, dear Taormina team❤❤❤. And the others shouldn't call themselves Italian if they aren't Italian!!! Basta Ela🙏
