Piccola Taormina in Berlin

Food and service are great. No long waiting times. Everything was very quick and tasty.

We've been looking forward to the Piccola Taormina for a long time, but unfortunately the joy didn't last long... the pizzas were barely topped and undercooked! The Gorgonzola sauce was just a cream sauce without any trace of the Gorgonzola... A disappointment.. only the staff was friendly..

Authentic Italian self-service restaurant. I've been here several times now and everything I ordered tasted very good It is also very inexpensive. The hustle and bustle at the ordering counter is phenomenal.

The store was packed on Sunday evening. I was there with my Italian girlfriend. Her pasta was cooked twice as long. My pizza would have needed some more time. But in the end I didn't care. I know the shop from the beginning of the 80s and actually forgive it everything because I'm happy that it's still there

Everyone liked it very much in the comments, but the pizza was unlike anything else. You can enjoy it more with any pizza-like product you make at home than you would from here. I still can't figure out how it has such a high score. The ambiance is nice. The environment is not bad. But the pizzas are a disaster.

It doesn't deserve a try. Tried 3 different pizzas. Some are oily, the after taste of the oil is really bad. Maybe the oil quality used.. Non of the 3 options was good, only average and below average. Hygiene wise, it's so bad, the chef is dealing with the system, cash, food, all without any gloves or washing before/after. The place itself is not clean including the tables. It's also an old building and needs renovation maybe inside. I don't recommend it.

It was full...as always, a good thing. Tourists behave....could tell us. A cleaner from Algeria is a wonderful person...I had forgotten my jacket, he came out and handed it over with love, unfortunately underpaid.I refused a tip. It was about his dignity. God give him a little peace of happiness

The dough is very similar to the one I get in the supermarket as a ready-made mix and unfortunately it wasn't baked really crispy. It was still white with a slight golden brown color and was completely sagging. The sauce was also very simple, otherwise well topped. Well-known self-service restaurant that could be renovated again.

Pizza prices are affordable but the pizza is extremely bad. Even the pizza you buy from the supermarket is better. Even the sink was dirty. However, the atmosphere was pleasant.

Here you can get delicious pizza prosciutto with mushrooms (parma ham on request) Ambience, very Italian in style! I felt very comfortable! I also had two latte macchiatos Hence the classification 10-20 € Pizza alone €9.50 That's totally fine

It's lucky that they still exist. Real Italians and real Italian cuisine🙏🙏🙏🙏.. There are so many supposed Italian restaurants and pizzerias around Berlin, East Berlin and Brandenburg (unfortunately I moved out of Berlin). But almost always in Arab and Turkish hands and no Italian chefs/pizza makers and you can taste that immediately if you know what Italian tastes like. Please stay with us for a long time, dear Taormina team❤❤❤. And the others shouldn't call themselves Italian if they aren't Italian!!! Basta Ela🙏

Super tasty mini pizza for €1.50. Cult.

We have been eating pizza there since the late 70's. ..felt it a thousand times...the pizza always had that certain charm of the 70s and 80s...nice and juicy, not dry, etc....today for the first time the pizza tasted very dry and also just boring... I even had to cut off the edge... (that's never happened before in all these years), as is usually the case everywhere, unfortunately the pizza is boring...just spruced up for the eye...plus it's about 20% more expensive than before half a year. I bring to mind that we didn't just have such tax increases...According to an employee directly at the pizza oven, it's supposedly just a purchasing problem regarding the yeast for the dough...I think it's more of an attempt to save money...but whatever ...we still plan to go one day...if it was an exception, which can happen from time to time, we will of course change this review... . Went there again yesterday...but the same game again...plus another 4 euros for a bottled beer of the Becks variety...that's it for us at least...if it continues like this, I'll give it to the store maybe another 2 years... it's a shame about the good work there over the decades... maybe the owner has changed... but I won't bother to investigate... in any case, we'll be gone forever... For the quality and the ambience, at least I think it's much better to sit somewhere else... but as I said, it's a shame... it was always great..

It‘s cult! Going there it’s more like visiting family and friends than a restaurant. My parents brought me there , 50 years ago - and I brought my son there , 32 years ago… in Berlin it’s our „must go place“ and it’s still the same

REALLY VERY CENTRALLY LOCATED ON THE KURFÜRSTENDAMM DAMM IN WILMERSDORF!

Waited a total of 70 minutes and then the pizza was really, really bad. Very dry and rock hard. After 1/4 of the pizza I gave up. I won't eat here again.

It's like going to Italy. Very large and delicious portions for 1.5 euros.

This snack bar/pizzeria has remained a cult favorite for at least 35 years. The small pizza there is still super cheap (!) and not only tastes particularly good for all night owls. If you like Berlin near Kudamm at night, you'll quickly get full there.

The mini pizza is excellent as always. The staff is grumpy. The atmosphere is like it was 20 years ago but that's ok. The toilets are a complete disaster. A basic cleaning with limescale cleaner, vinegar essence and a bucket of white paint would turn this hole into a toilet where the outside temperature is 38 degrees and doesn't send cold shivers down your spine.

OMG...the food is so delicious. I had spaghetti gamberetti (spaghetti with shrimp and onions in lobster sauce)...an absolute dream. I treated myself to a second helping 😅🥰. It was so heavenly that I felt like I was on vacation.

Italian snack. Very tasty, have a good trip, large portions. Ambience like a train station hall. Staff very friendly. Tables could have been cleaner. The store was still really full at 10 p.m. Card payment possible.

We went twice in a row! Great italian place, the food was spectacular and surprisingly cheap. The service was faster than light and efficient, amusing too! You place your order and they will call you with a microphone. Really funny! "Barcelona! Rigatoni don peppe!" We woud repeat if we stayed more days.

Very very unfriendly staff! Food nothing special! They take the pizzas out of the oven way too early. No recommendation! I would give 0 stars if it were possible.

I actually would have liked to give more stars, but I felt very disrespected by the staff. When I ordered one of the starters again after my main course, an employee snapped at me for standing in front of the menu for so long and then only ordering a small starter. I ignored him, but was then intercepted on the way to my seat by another employee who followed me to my table and said that the pizza maker was mad at me and that I should eat at home because they had so many dishes have to wash and don't want to work. Then I noticed that the pizza maker had already had a bit of an allergic reaction when I grabbed a spoon earlier. I was totally stunned and overwhelmed. If they don't want to work so much and don't want to wash dishes, then they should run a small snack bar without a seating area! That's not my fault. I found this very unprofessional, rude and above all disappointing because I really liked the store to begin with. It's definitely the last time I've been here and I'm still shocked at how a paying customer was treated. No recommendation.

Unfortunately, the portions of pasta are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher! I can no longer get full from just one portion of pasta. When making broccoli pasta, only broccoli stalks are used, not broccoli florets, because you can't use the stalks on a pizza -> so it's just a waste of leftovers, which is a shame given the price and the portion size! The man who collects the money is always extremely rude, regardless of whether he is a regular or not.

A nice environment that makes you forget the size of the city and various overpriced "original specialties". Simply beautiful and welcoming Italian comfort.

There is self-service. The store is great. Everything from young to old comes together here. It's loud and busy. The best seats are definitely at the front. The table neighbors change and you get to know a lot of people. The food is delicious and cheap. Our regular Italian when we are in Berlin.

The pizza and the price are great. I remember the shop from before, when I worked around the corner. Unfortunately, I had a mediocre experience today because there was a squashed FLY stuck under my pizza. Nothing is an issue, it can happen. But the reaction of the employees was bottomless. Instead of clarifying the situation professionally, the cashier accused me of saying that the obviously flat fly only slipped under the pizza while I was eating. They denied any guilt, no sorry or anything like that, really a bit embarrassing. Very strange macho pride that was incomprehensible to me. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend the store because of this promotion.

There are fewer and fewer such authentic pizzerias in Berlin. New openings often look chic, but are usually expensive and of poor quality. Please stay like this! 👍🏻

We’ve been eating at this pizzeria for a few days. The prices are good and the food is delicious. However, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. A gentleman working at cleaning the tables blamed me for some chairs that were not well organized. He was rude, which was especially upsetting as I was with my wife and 1-year-old son. Because of this incident, I don’t plan to visit this place again.

I went here once. Spaghetti carbonara was bland. Mixed salad was heavily overdressed. I asked for a receipt and was refused. Maybe it was because I paid in cash and they are trying to avoid income tax on cash payments. The staff demeanor was gruff.

It's crazy, the guy is authentic Italian, finally a place in Berlin where you can eat decent food, not things with curry and strange things, and the price is fantastic

The Italian restaurant Piccolo Taomina on Ku’damm is simply great. The prices are very fair and the food is really excellent. Every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is first class. I would recommend Piccolo Taomina to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

The best place in Berlin to get good, simple Italian food quickly!

Mozarella pizza here is so good!! There was a waiting line when we visited on a Saturday evening but the pizza was worth the wait. Also the prices are unbelievably cheap compared to the portion. Seemed like a small restaurant at first glimpse but they had a lot more seats inside.

Das Essen war durchschnittlich. Das Personal am Tresen war äußerst unfreundlich. Wollten noch etwas nachbestellen und wurden rüde abgewiesen obwohl niemand vor uns war.

The üizza is ordinary. But bad not great. It's ok. The service is chaotic. We had our order forgotten 2times.... Ordered... Waited... We Went checked in it. They realized they had forgotten and said it will be next. Then they forgot again. There's time it worked out.... But they were nonchalant about it and didn't even care to apologize leave alone make amends. So terrible service. Final recommendations- DON'T GO.. AVOID.

Very human! Very authentic, very Italian!

1500% seit Jahrzehnten the Art of Street Pizza in Berlin. Mehr geht nicht, best pizza and pasta, authentic location and lovely team.

Personally, I think the pizza we ate there was literally swimming in fat. In addition, there were the drinks that not only smelled of the alcohol “korn”, but also sometimes left a very strong taste; the drinks were heavily diluted with water or even stale. The Fanta we had had absolutely nothing to do with Fanta, it was simply abnormally watery and already had a very light, pale color. Despite 4.5 stars at the moment, the food wasn't brought to the table and we had to get up to get it, this could of course be because it was busy (but that didn't seem to be the case..) It's not the end of the world that you had to get up, but I find it a little unprofessional. I honestly say I would look for something else and won't come back. Not recommended! but you have to know for yourself...

Side street from the Kudamm. It's nice that something like that still exists. Inexpensive and delicious. You order at the counter, find a place and wait until the waitress calls through the microphone so that you can pick up your order at the front. Delightful shop.

Wow. Really authentic, very good food for decent prices. Really fair with self-service and seating. Large pizza with really PLENTY of toppings between €7 and €10. I have rarely seen a pizza with so many toppings. Together with a beer we paid around €11. Food is announced over the loudspeakers. The tables are spacious, the benches are a bit narrow. It can get stuffy in the seating area, but that's part of the restaurant.

It’s authentic Italian place with a very friendly staff. It was crowded with mostly Italian clients, that’s a sign that tells you it’s good Italian food! Prices are very reasonable 7.50€ a Mista pizza and 3.00 a glass ow wine!! Nothing fancy, just good food!! Revomeded!

The pizzeria has been around for what feels like 100 years and is simply cult. There used to be a saying on the counter: "Liquorice makes you sharper, but pizza makes you sharper." True!

I ate there a few years ago and the food was super authentic and delicious with super fair prices. The prices are still low, but the quality of the food has deteriorated. I would prefer if the prices went up a little if it didn't reduce the quality of the food.

it was always my favorite pizza place and it still is, BUT there is no more cheese. I think it's a shame that the kilometer-long threads are pulling and the pizza is no longer as soft and fluffy.

I happened to be out in town, the shop is pretty inconspicuous, but the guys put a lot of effort into the food, very tasty pizzas!

The pan pizza is simply delicious and you don't have to wait long.

The original pizzeria in Berlin Time has stood still in this restaurant. The pizza (Pizza Frutti di Mare) that I ordered today tastes the same and delicious as the one 40 years ago. The service behind the counter, the equipment - everything remained. A journey back in time full of positive memories. Absolutely recommended if you don't value artificial Italian flair and would rather eat real pizza like in Naples.
