CURIOUSA Cafe Bistro Bar in Hamburg

Curiousa is a very nice cafe. There is a wide selection of delicious food, good beer and other drinks and on Sundays a very rich, inexpensive brunch with coffee, tea and juices to choose from. The owner takes great care to ensure that the customers are satisfied and also enjoys chatting with the guests. All in all a really nice shop, we will definitely be back.

We spent Saturday night a very pleasant time with Latin music and a good atmosphere. They also keep coats and spacious bathrooms.

A real insider tip near the main train station. The food is recommended no matter what you choose. It's delicious, tasty, nicely prepared and the prices are great ❣️ The restaurant is small and if you can no longer sit outside, you should make a reservation. If you want to eat good steak or delicious tarte flambée, you're in good hands there ☺️

The best carbonara I've ever eaten! Unfortunately, the infrared heat destroys the image. The area and especially the square Hansaplatz is not a safe place to go alone during the evenings and nights according to a local resident who sat at the table next to him.

Were there on Sunday lunchtime. The waiter was very friendly and attentive! First of all, the kitchen greeted us with bread with dip and, separately, olives. 😍 The food was very tasty. The bruscetta with chanterelles was a huge portion (4 slices) with plenty of chanterelles. Counts as a main course. The quality and taste was great, really cheap for €12.50.

A great restaurant located in the middle of a square with a fountain. The food is absolutely top notch. The service and staff are world class. You felt like you were in good hands at all times.

Looking to find a restaurant for dinner. We found what we were looking for in Hansaplatz. Very good food, price/performance is totally right. A small greeting from the kitchen in advance and a schnapps to say goodbye. Highly recommended, we went back the next evening.

Today I had lunch at Curiosa and it was simply amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the fresh salad complemented the dish wonderfully. The lunch menu is truly a highlight and you can tell that Chef Toni is a true professional - his training and experience is reflected in every bite. A big thank you to Toni and the entire Curiosa team for the great food and excellent service! I'll definitely come back

Good atmosphere, nice staff and delicious food. A random, good find very close to the main train station. It was a pleasure.

I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but I found it - between two trains looking for an alternative to Mecces and co, we came to a hearty and fresh breakfast buffet. There were meat and meat-free alternatives. The best thing about it: the buffet is there straight away - eating at mecces at the train station would cost more, take at least as long and neither taste as good nor feel as good in the stomach. Definitely coming back!

Unfortunately only mediocre. Both the pizza and the service could be better. Pizza made from oil dough, firm base and toppings heavily oiled. Not easy fare.

After reading the praise here about the oh-so-great pizza, I was looking forward to a culinary treat. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth, the pizza base was totally dry and hard and the topping (ham and egg) was dripping with oil to the point that it wasn't nice anymore. They were also VERY “generous” with the Italian herbs. I like oregano and the like. But it really doesn't have to be in such quantities. I won't try here again

We discovered this restaurant because we spontaneously wanted to eat something. Since the weather was so nice, we sat outside. You sat comfortably under large parasols that would also protect you from any sudden rain. The service was very friendly. The food also came relatively quickly and tasted very good. I would definitely visit the restaurant again.

We actually wanted to eat here in peace. The pizzas were okay too. Only an obvious professional sat down next to us. Which in itself isn't a problem. Not only did she smell very unpleasant, but she also behaved extremely recklessly and loudly. When her 'companion' went to the quiet place, we were then harassed by her to order her drinks. We complained about this to the staff, but they just argued that she was a regular. Next time we won't be going to the "Curiosa".

We live around the corner and often go to Curiousa. The food is always delicious and you rarely experience such friendly, unpretentious service. Always. Does not matter when. In addition, the price-performance ratio is excellent. There's really not much that can keep up! Curiousa forever!

Lousy breakfast. Really the cheapest cold cuts, baked rolls, tea glasses with water stains. Cash payment only, seems unprofessional. No recommendation as a breakfast restaurant.

Great ambience according to our expectations, also a good choice for vegetarians, we each had a starter that would actually have been enough in size. A large plate of tomato soup and a caprese salad that certainly contained a whole mozzarella. The bread with olives and aholio was also very tasty. The main courses then a vegetarian tarte flambée and a baked potato with sour cream and a small salad..... everything was super tasty, also beautifully prepared. The drinks were also very tasty. The service was super friendly and attentive. The price is amazing, less than €40 for everything. Great value for money, we'll be happy to come back when we're in Hamburg, highly recommended........ 😊 .......stay the way you are.

The Curiousa is one of the cutest, warmest place I have visited in HH so far. The waitresses are totally courteous, helpful and very attentive; the customer is simply king there. The food is very very very good, I ate at Curiousa during my 5 day stay in Hamburg. And I will definitely come back, it's not just a restaurant, it's like a big family. The location may not be in the best location but that doesn't matter, these guys will pull it off again. The Best Waiter Monsour 😀 All the conditions are great, just keep it up. We were on vacation there over New Year's Eve and I have to say it was very good. The service is second to none and the food is perfect. You can also look into the kitchen and it is really clean. I can only recommend it 👍👍👍 Mansour is a very good waiter, super friendly 👍🎉

We were in Hamburg over New Year's Eve and discovered the restaurant by chance. What can I say: very appealing atmosphere, super nice, polite and courteous staff... and the food, be it breakfast or pasta/lasagna, was TOP. Great value for money... we were there every day of our short trip. Absolutely recommended!!! Greetings from Munich, we'll be back!

Wir haben das Café besucht, mit der Absicht, eine Tasse Kaffee oder ein Getränk zu genießen. Allerdings wurden wir informiert, dass wir uns nicht setzen dürfen, "Wir können nicht hineingehen, wenn wir etwas trinken möchten. Draußen ist eine Tasse Kaffee jedoch erlaubt." Da es draußen sehr kalt für meine Frau war, fanden wir dies äußerst unangenehm und unpassend.

Eis war mäßig, Bedienung unaufmerksam, Sahne aus der Sprühflasche und am Ende musste ich noch jemandem hinterherrennen um endlich bezahlen zu dürfen. Schade, aber das war ne Niete.

In der Weihnachtszeit gab es ein leckeres Grünkohlessen, mit einem freundlichen, aufmerksamen Serviceteam. Das Café, Bistro Curiousa liegt mitten in St. Georg am Hansaplatz in der Nähe vom Hauptbahnhof. Spargel, Kartoffeln und Schinken sind lecker gewesen und der Spargel wurde so weich wie gewünscht serviert, das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis hat gestimmt.

Sehr freundlich, leckeres Essen in großen Portionen und faire Preise. Sehr gut!

Ich war drei Tage in HH und vier mal hier!!! Unglaublich super nettes Personal und sehr gutes Essen. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Hätte für den Service auch zehn Sterne gegeben.

Wir waren 4 Tage in Hamburg und haben das CURIOUSA eher zufällig am Anreisetag gefunden, da unser Hotel in der nähe war. Das Ambiente und der Service haben uns gleich überzeugt. Wir haben dann am Sonntag Mittag sehr leckere Burger gegessen und uns gleich für den Montag zum Frühstücken einen Tisch reserviert. Auch das Frühstück war hervorragend und der Service wie immer sehr gut. Auch unseren letzten Abend haben wir dort mit einer späten Pizza und einem kleinen Umtrunk ausklingen lassen. (Speziellen Dank an Dawi ;-) Liebe Grüße ans ganze Team vom Passauer Quartett ;-) Wir kommen wieder . . .

It is a breakfast place but you don't get enough options! They have only three cake types. They do not speak much english but you wouldn't need that :) The sitting area outside is nice, but inside is not really cozy.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Mit angenehmer Aussenterrasse Stadtteil St. Georg. Mann muss dort immer mit Krawallen rechnen. Aber gut abgeschirmt, viel Polizei vor Ort. Essen, sehr gut.

Waren heute mit meinem Mann und Baby hier, der Caesar Salat hat hervorragend geschmeckt😊😊😊, der Aperol Spritz auch und der Kakao war auch lecker, es ist schön das in so einer Gegend eine Insel Normalität und Schönheit vorhanden ist, dieser Fleck von verschiedenen Restaurants hat mir gefallen, natürlich muss man auf sich aufpassen , sobald man die Gegend (diese "Insel") verlässt

Komplettes Personal sehr nett. Essen alles top. Von Spaghetti mit Pfifferlinge oder Cheeseburger mit Pommes können wir alles empfehlen. Der vegetarische Burger ist ebenfalls ein Traum. Danke an das Team für den schönen Abend und das leckere Essen.

Upon arrival, the ambiance of the restaurant seemed inviting, and I was looking forward to a pleasant meal... The service was prompt and courteous, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. 🤢 When the burger arrived at my table, I noticed it looked appetizing, with a beautifully toasted bun and fresh toppings. My hopes were high as I took my first bite... To my disappointment, the taste of the burger was peculiar and not at all what I anticipated. It had an unusual aftertaste that left me questioning the quality of the ingredients used.
