Always happy to come back. Very good food, friendly service.

We were also able to get a place here at short notice by telephone. The reception that followed was warm and, as usual, first with an ouzo. When choosing the dishes, we were politely accompanied by the waitresses and also pointed out the large quantities. When we received the order, the waiter's statement was confirmed. The portions are actually very large and, above all, very tasty. I can only recommend that you be a guest in this wonderful restaurant yourself. For me it will definitely be a repeat visit.

The family-run restaurant has been a destination for many years when it comes to eating delicious Greek food. The entire team always tries to accommodate all your wishes, the prices are reasonable and the portions are definitely big enough for every hunger. I especially love the bread with homemade aioli - simple but totally delicious! My tip!

Good solid Greek! Nothing more but nothing less either. Sauce too thin but ok. Service is like this, one person is nice, the other person has missed the job. Prices a bit high for a Greek. But it's probably normal now.

Today, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., we luckily found a place to eat in the outdoor area of ​​the "Kypros". The menu was brought by the quick waiter and is very large and varied. Lamb shank with rice, beans and side salad was very good, as was the Greek salad with sheep's cheese and the lukewarm bread (plenty) with a green garlic cream that was served as an amuse gueule. Since we weren't inside the restaurant, we can't say anything about the interior design etc. The staff, which was very well staffed in numbers, was on point and very friendly. The food was served within about 10-15 minutes. The boss was always present and pitched in without forgetting to ask every now and then at the occupied tables whether everything was OK. We were greeted very friendly and - like all guests - with an ouzo.

We “lost our way” here from the good reviews and were curious to see whether these positive reviews were appropriate. We were warmly welcomed here and were lucky that there was still a table for two available. Man, there was something going on here. We felt like we were in a fantastic Greek tavern. We ordered gyros and souflaki to eat. As a greeting from the kitchen there was homemade bread with a homemade ailoli. Phew, what a great start. We were briefly in distress and wanted to cancel our meal again. The bread and ailoli were that good. You really have to be careful not to eat your fill before the main course. I don't need to mention the ouzo first. Then came the main course... I have never experienced a situation in which I no longer received my beloved souflaki on the skewer. And I have NEVER experienced this souflaki being fantastically grilled and seasoned pork tenderloin. That was really awesome. Sooo juicy. The rice I ordered with it had a fantastic light flavor of laurel. I have NEVER eaten a good souflaki before. In addition to all these great taste experiences, there was also the extremely hospitable staff. When I/we are back in Altona we will definitely come here again. Greetings from Stuttgart.

Very tasty food, but a bit too little for my taste. Service was mostly very nice, one was very sloppy Location is nice but I can imagine that it is very loud when it is really full.

Vom Eigentümer, persönlich bewirtet worden, waren zu 3, Private Geburtstagsessen, hatten zu 3 eine wunderschöne Antipastie Platte, einen großen Salat Teller und eine große Platte mit Fleisch Variationen einfach genial. Kommen zu 1000 Prozent wieder.

The best Greek restaurant I've ever been to! Totally loving welcome, super delicious food (everything fresh and homemade - you can taste it) and great service. The waiter was there at all times, we didn't have to wait long and every one of our special requests was fulfilled. In addition, everyone there was really fond of children and was very responsive to our boys. We all felt very comfortable!!

Top service top prices delicious 😋 food

The food was average, rather lousy: the fries were extremely dry, the meat (gyros) was a bit over-seasoned, which is always a bad sign of quality. The calamari was good. Maybe the first waiter was in a bad mood, it didn't seem like they were welcoming. Luckily the price was appropriate for the overall quality. Unfortunately not really recommended. There are tons of other better Greek restaurants. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening with my friends.

Unfortunately just average. The wheat is brought to the table in bottles and you have to limit yourself. With a second bottle there isn't even a new glass. Ouzo is only served after payment. The taste of the food was okay but it was carelessly prepared and the portions were very small.

A Greek oasis to recharge!!!! We were stranded in HH Altona for one night due to train delays and were actually exhausted after a 13 hour journey... but then we were able to spend a really great, delicious and very hospitable evening at KYPROS. Suddenly everything was just fine 👍 the way it was. Bifteki and chicken with Metaxa sauce extremely tasty, ouzo, red wine pleasantly mild and on top a free dessert from the house. TOP!

Trotz Tischreservierung leider kein Platz. Nach 30 Minuten Wartezeit dann zwei getrennte Tische mit zu wenig Platz. Turbobestellung mit dem Hinweis, dass jetzt aber die Küche gleich zumache. Jeder, der dann noch 5 Sekunden überlegen musste wurde erst mal übersprungen. Das Essen war lecker. Nach dem letzten Bissen dann der Hinweis, dass keine Essens- oder Getränkebestellung mehr möglich sei und man zum Ende kommen solle. Beim Bezahlen leider der Versuch 100 € Trinkgeld beim Kartenterminal zusätzlich unterzuschieben - sehr unschön.

It was my birthday. Really cool. Eat deliciously. Killed two bottles of ouzo and then got one on the house... Afterwards we all went straight home. Great evening!

We ordered the bill 5 times and waited 45 minutes until I got up and asked if I could pay. The food was delicious as always, the atmosphere was cozy and the service (apart from the issue with the bill) was good. If I hadn't had to hurry, I wouldn't have had a problem waiting any longer for the bill. That wasn't the case that day and the waiters were smoking or talking to each other.

Super friendly staff, helpful and polite. I had a classic gyro with fries and really enjoyed it. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, just the way I like it. I'll definitely come back.

Unfortunately, this Greek has slacked off a lot. The portions have been getting smaller and smaller for years and the prices are getting more and more expensive. But you notice this most in the service: we were there this evening and wanted to have a nice meal. After about 10 minutes we had chosen something. Another 10 minutes later there was still no one at our table to take the order. We then told a young lady that we would like to order, but she couldn't do it herself and wanted to send someone to us. After another 5 minutes we left as there was still no one at our table. The most annoying thing was that guests who arrived after us had already received drinks and bread and the employee who took orders only took care of other tables. We used to love going there because the team was really great, but after a lot of negative experiences recently (smaller portions, higher prices) and today's experience, we will think twice about going again.

Cozy restaurant in the heart of Altona. The menu is varied and offers a good cross-section of Greek cuisine. The prices for food and drinks are above average to high. The service seemed overloaded when I visited. Some drinks had to be reminded twice.

We sat outside and unfortunately it started raining, which didn't improve the atmosphere. Luckily we were able to sit inside under the parasol for dessert. The food was tasty, the calamari mediocre. Greek food is often better in the Netherlands.

Kypros is not a restaurant I would eat at a second time. The quality of the food was mediocre. The pilsner was not carbonated and tasted stale. The service was inattentive and seemed rather lackluster. Some dirty dishes were simply left standing and only cleared away when we collected them in the middle ourselves and pointed them out to a waiter. Not enough cutlery was brought to us. When I switched to wheat, I was allowed to drink it out of a dirty glass. Salty prices are charged for food and drinks. A plus point is the location directly on the Spritzenplatz, where you can sit comfortably in summer. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make Kypros a good restaurant.

This old Greek restaurant is very well known in Hamburg for its quality. We always enjoy being there.

The food was GREAT but the service was chaotic 🙈 We sat for 20 minutes without a menu then it took another 10 minutes until a waiter came to take the drinks and take the food order. Food came quite quickly, when we wanted to pay it took another 20 minutes after 3-4 requests for the waiter to come. You should work on that.

The best Dolmadakia I've ever eaten! But it's all delicious. We ate a mix of appetizers and dinner with different dishes and they were all delicious, from the sardines to the fried aubergines (very light) to the ouzo brought as an aperitif. Delightful!

Visited spontaneously because we needed something for dinner due to our late arrival in Hamburg. Very friendly and accommodating. Big portion.

It was really nice. Only we had to wait over an hour and 80 minutes for our food.

We had a beer here, as did many in the area. Large outdoor seating area with a good atmosphere. But somewhat tough service, the couple next door had to wait a long time to pay and got angry. It was hard to get the attention of the waiters. But we are not used to the culture either.

The interior was a bit dark and cramped, although we, as larger men, were offered a more spacious space. Food was super legga!! Although we have had much larger portions of the same quality for the same money. Nevertheless, the staff was super nice, attentive and friendly. Will come again!! Booking a table is an advantage!!

We had to wait a very long time for the card, and we weren't really that welcome, which was evident when we entered. The two of us were seated at a table for four, which was okay, but too much cutlery was taken away faster than we could sit down, i.e. by choosing which cutlery to take away, the waiter wanted to determine whether we were sitting opposite or next to each other. One of the waiters constantly wanted to remove the unfinished salad just because it wasn't exactly in front of us, there can only be one plate in front of you. Since I wasn't happy with everything surrounding it, I didn't want to give a tip. When I wanted to pay, the waiter said the amount, looked at me and asked what amount he should enter into the card machine. I then said the amount you just said. At the Greek restaurant in our town you are asked whether Uoso or Amaretto or... unfortunately that wasn't possible either. Feel good?? Next time at the Greek restaurant where I live.

Unfortunately too expensive for what you get. Especially when you order a 6-person platter with “a little bit of everything” and find yourself at home in front of a huge pile of pork. The hint of chicken, which was packed separately, doesn't save it either. For that 26 euros per person is a bit cheeky.

Classic, recommended Greek restaurant with a cozy interior and a very large outdoor terrace in a perfect location (sunny on the quiet yet central Spritzenplatz). In family hands for generations, correspondingly good service. Our salmon fillet and monkfish were good, but unfortunately came with very few vegetables (and even more fatty roasted potatoes). That was better a few years ago.

So I have to honestly say that I've been there three times but the food is definitely not worth the price. A starter, a main course, 2 drinks €43 Sorry but that's not possible because there are clearly better restaurants that are cheaper. At the Greek tribe you always get tzatziki with the fried pepperoni, but here the portion is smaller and €2 more expensive. There is no ouzo, which is something you always do as a host. Gyros Bifteki the portion was mini and only 7 fries on it wow others had double to 3 times the amount. At the other Greek you get twice as much bifteki, more cheese and also more mince. This was underground. It's also sad that you have to order a drink 3 times and it doesn't arrive until 50 minutes have already passed. At the local Greek restaurant I'm just under €33 for everything, I'm full and I have nothing to complain about, but it's really not nice here :)

Went on tour in Hamburg for 3 days. We ended up here while looking for a location and were given a very friendly welcome. The food came surprisingly quickly and was delicious, so we decided to spend our last evening there. Here too we were served very well. Keep it up!
