Crockpot`s in Gießen

Wir haben online bestellt gegen 21:15 und auf die Webseite stand bis 21:30 wird noch angenommen , die Bestellung würde angenommen bzw bestätigt und auch bezahlt kam aber keine Bestellung, weil die angeblich zu gemacht haben nicht mehr erreichbar gewesen das ist Betrug und geht gar nicht

Mir wurde vorgeschwärmt, dass das Essen so gut sei, weswegen ich es unbedingt probieren wollte. Ich habe bestellt und bezahlt. Danach hab ich eine Email bekommen, dass der Laden geschlossen sei und ich mein Geld via Paypal zurück bekommen werde. Alles kein Problem. Allerdings hab ich zu wenig Geld zurück bekommen und das auch bereits 2 mal per Email rückgemeldet. Bekommen habe ich es jedoch noch nicht.

Nach über 90 Minuten angerufen um zu fragen wie lange es noch dauert bis unsere Pizzen ankommen nur eine freche Antwort bekommen mit „woher soll ich das wissen“. Auch unter Stress und viel Betrieb erwartet man doch eine ordentliche Antwort.

Warte bereits seid 90 min auf mein Essen was immer noch nicht da ist und Dan noch unhöfliches Personal am Telefon nur um den Status der Bestellung zu wissen wie lange es ca noch dauert

Hammer, oberlecker, uns fallen keine Worte mehr dazu ein. Junges Team, so, so freundlich. Wir haben Rippchen gegessen die von alleine vom Knochen fallen. Die Soßen homemade und wirklich sehr 😋 lecker. Wir sind fasziniert dass junge Menschen das betreiben. Nur wenige 100 Meter von der Autobahn entfernt, mit Biergarten. Von uns 100 Punkte, danke für euer Engagement Jungs. Hingehen unbedingt!!!!!! Karin

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Das Essen kam überhaupt nicht an und telefonisch war im Restaurant niemand zu erreichen. Dabei lag die Lieferadresse gerade mal etwa 900 m entfernt. Bezahlt wurde bereits über PayPal, umso ärgerlicher, einfach keinerlei Rückmeldung zu bekommen. So ein Service ist wirklich frech und absolut nicht kundenfreundlich... Schade , hätte das Essen dort gerne probiert

absolute Weiterempfehlung, authentisch amerikanische deep dish pizza, nicht zu vergleichen mit italian style es werden aufwendig originale saucen wie zb Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce importiert aber gerade diese details sind der USP von Crockpots und muss supportet werden bei selbstabholung gibts rabatt und wenn mal was nicht mit der order passen sollte wird für alles eine lösung gefunden meine empfehlung: philly cheese steak pizza und boneless wings 🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Nicht so gemütlich zum Essen im Restaurant, daher besser zum Mitnehmen. Aber die Pizza war fantastisch 🥰

Leider kann man nur ein Stern geben um ein Feedback zu geben. Wir haben seit längerem mal wieder bei Crockpot‘s bestellt, angegeben wurde eine Wartezeit von 60 min, angekommen ist es nach 2,5 Stunden mit der Begründung das ein Auto ausgefallen wäre… alles schön und gut, allerdings bezahl ich nicht so viel Geld für kaltes Essen, dann noch das die Produkte auf der Pizza selbst nicht mehr frisch aussahen und dann wurde auch noch was vergessen… wir haben persönlich bei Crockpot‘s angerufen weil wir sehr enttäuscht darüber waren und einfach ein Feedback geben wollten das die Kommunikation schlecht ist und das das Essen kalt war (persönlich ist immer besser als öffentlich). Daraufhin wurden wir abgewimmelt und es hieß das wir gleich zurückgerufen werden. Bis dato kam aber nicht mehr.. Für uns hat sich Crockpot‘s erledigt, schade da wir sehr gern dort bestellt haben..

Haben den Laden und die Speisen dort geliebt, aber die Bestellung letzte Woche war eine Katastrophe. Boneless chicken wings, die ganz offensichtlich panierte Convenience Ware waren, mit nem Klecks Soße drauf. Ribs waren auch schlecht. Nie mehr wieder.

Preise gehoben. Service mangelhaft. Lieferung dauerte weit über 1,5 Stunden!!??? (Lieferando) Essen nicht mehr richtig heiß...

Leider war unsere Bestellung bei Crockpots ein kompletter Reinfall. 18:51 Uhr wurde unsere Bestellung im Wert von knapp 85 € bestätigt. Um 20:07 Uhr wurde uns auf Nachfrage mitgeteilt, dass aufgrund nur eines verfügbaren Fahrers die Lieferung noch etwa 30 Minuten dauern würde. Um 20:53 Uhr erhielten wir die Information, der Fahrer sei bereits seit 15 Minuten auf dem Weg – tatsächlich wohnen wir maximal 15 Minuten entfernt. Um 21:08 Uhr hörten wir schließlich über die AB-Ansage, dass das Restaurant wegen Personalmangels geschlossen habe. Gegen 21:17 Uhr – also rund 70 Minuten nach der angekündigten „30-Minuten-Verspätung“ – erhielten wir unsere Lieferung: vier komplett kalte und drei nur lauwarme Gerichte. Insgesamt haben wir fast 2,5 Stunden auf kaltes Essen gewartet. Eine Entschädigung, ein Entgegenkommen oder ein Preisnachlass wurde nicht angeboten. So sollte ein Lieferservice nicht arbeiten.

Das Serviceniveau hat sich verschlechtert, seit der ursprüngliche Besitzer das Geschäft als Franchise verkauft hat. Ich habe eine Pizza zum Abholen bestellt und kam zum Laden, aber an der Rezeption war niemand. Ich konnte nur einige Leute hören, die laut unterhielten. Es gab eine Klingel, um die Rezeptionistin zu rufen, aber niemand kam. Dann habe ich angerufen, um die Aufmerksamkeit der Rezeptionistin zu erregen, woraufhin er herauskam. Anstatt mich gemäß der deutschen Höflichkeitskultur mit „Hallo” zu begrüßen, fragte er mich, ob ich ein Uber-Abholer sei. Was für eine Schande für eine durchschnittliche Pizza. Nie wieder!

Solide Pizza im amerikanischen Stil!

Hatte noch nie Detroit Style Pizza gegessen und werde es hier nach sehr gerne wieder tun 😊 Top Service, nettes Ambiente für den kleinen Laden und super Pizza

Das Essen ist Bombe. Der Geräuschpegel von Bestellungen ist allerdings nervig und es war kalt dort. Das nächste Mal nehmen wir mit oder bestellen.

Unverschämtheit in Pizzaform! Wir haben mehrere Pizzen bestellt und waren entsetzt: winzig, lieblos und kaum satt machend. Wenn das das normale Format sein soll, dann gute Nacht. Geschmack war okay, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist eine Frechheit. Wer hier bestellt, sollte gleich zwei nehmen – eine zum Anschauen und eine zum Hungrigbleiben. Nie wieder!

Der Besuch war eine spontane Idee - und hat sich gelohnt. Mein Freund und ich hatten vorher noch nicht Detroit Style Pizza gegessen und wurden geschmacklich überzeugt. Außen schön knusprig und innen saftiger Teig, gut belegt und toll gewürzt. Einfach lecker. Service war auch top, sehr freundlich! Das Ambiente ist locker und gemütlich mit ein paar Tischen, der Hauptfokus liegt auf Lieferung.

An 11/10 performance! It starts with the super friendly staff and continues with the cool decor :) The wait time was really great for the quantity and, above all, the quality of the food, and the BBQ ribs were so juicy and delicious, just like the BBQ chicken pizza, a true feast for the palate. Highly recommended and definitely worth the money!

Price-performance ratio is reasonable. The atmosphere is OK, but not really the kind of place you'd want to go for a nice meal. Ordering is also great, and the food arrives hot and fresh very quickly. The spare ribs are highly recommended; I've never eaten better. Pizza was also surprisingly good, especially for the American style. The bacon crust is a bit confusing, though, as it's just cubes of ham on the pizza rather than a bacon crust. The boneless wings could use a bit more sauce, but you can order them separately. The breading could also have been a bit thinner for my taste. All in all, though, highly recommended. I'll definitely go there again.

Incredibly delicious pizza. Very well seasoned and topped. We also had the pulled chicken burger. The meat was very tender and deliciously prepared. The mac and cheese is also highly recommended. I felt it lacked a bit of salt, but that's a matter of taste and can be seasoned to your liking. All in all, it was great, and we'd love to come back (or stop by Reiskirchen).

Very very friendly and the food is also very good

We had the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, the BBQ ribs, the pulled chicken burger, the onion rings, and the chili cheese bites. Everything was super delicious! Friendly service and quick preparation. The ribs were so tender, the meat fell off the bone. We can 100% recommend this place!

2 days in Giessen and it's a must, eating something American. I didn't want to go a typical fast food chain and found this nice little restaurant in a residential area of Giessen. There are plenty of parking spaces. You don't have to take a ticket on Sundays. Holding the menu in my hand, I immediately noticed the many US-style pizzas and slow-cooked meals. I opted for the burger. The slowcooked pulled chicken burger was delicious and juicy. The homemade coleslaw was not too sweet like the one from a well-known fast food chain. I added a portion of onion rings and my day was saved. On Wednesdays, Crockpot's offers All U Can Eat Ribs for around 30 euros per person. Better call and reserve a table if you plan to come with friends. Credit cards are accepted, including AMEX. Give this local pearl a try!

Update: Unfortunately, there have been recurring problems for a few months now. The 10% discount for pickup is only available if you call and pick up, not if you walk in and order at the counter (why?) The 10% discount is sometimes not applied to the entire order, but only to the dip. Always check your receipt! Orders have been taken several times now, if at all. Check again then. The pizza is 10/10, but the service is just average.

Schlemmerblock not accepted even though I said so on the phone. Waited another 20 minutes longer on site, then only explained the terms and conditions when asked and then when you tried to take two very expensive drinks with you, the food was no longer available and you had to wait another 40 minutes. Incredibly unfriendly and not customer oriented. Absolutely not recommended! Can't rate the food as I didn't receive any.

We drove 100 km to see a closed door. No information on other opening times. We are very disappointed.

I ordered from Crockpots and overall I was very satisfied! The food was really delicious, fresh and very filling. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely right. The delivery took a little longer than expected, but as an apology there was a free pizza - a very nice gesture! I will definitely order again. Clear recommendation!

Delicious, flavorful and affordable. I was surprised of the quality of the pizza! It’s a nice little place on a street’s corner. Simply decorated with five to six tables. Friendly waiter and relatively fast service. The crust really makes justice to the “American style” one: crunchy and tasty.

I have now ordered the pulled chicken burger and the ribs. Both super tasty. Now saw the advertisement for “all you can eat rips” via Instagram. Will try this this or next Wednesday!

Waiting time for delivery was quite long, but the food was perfect. After asking over the phone, it became clear that the delay was due to a large number of orders. The owner called back the following day and apologized. Customer satisfaction is very important here :)

~•The food in this place is amazing•~ I have not had the greatest variety as of yet, but the Mac and Cheese and pizzas I had, as well as the Ranch sauce are insanely good and I am a very critical person when it comes to eating out. I dont like to overpay for mediocre food, which is why I will often avoid most places. This food is fairly priced and it definitely hits the spot. Incredible flavors and it all feels balanced, it all goes well together. A margherita will cost roughly 8.50 for a "regular" and at Italian pizza places I will end up eating 2 or sometimes 3 of those — dont worry, I am healthy — but to be fair, even one of these regular ones will fill you up. I ate two, which cost me 17 Euros, because they are delicious and I love to stuff myself anyway. I assume each pizza has around 1500 kcal and honestly feels like 1.5 or even 2 normal sized pizzas in one, from the way it satiates you. The Mac and Cheese is also very, very good. I assume the other dishes must be great too. Atmosphere may not be top notch, a lot of people seem to just order takeout, but the food is seriously worth it. Try it, if you love pizza at all, and if you love to feel full after eating.

We have ordered from Crockpots several times - pizzas, slow cooker dishes and desserts. Everything was always very good. A few months ago we ordered a cheesecake that was incredibly good. Unfortunately you can't find it on the menu at the moment (January 25), but maybe it'll come back. We would be pleased. We can particularly recommend the Detroit Style Pizza, which you can't get anywhere else in Giessen. It's very filling, which is why we always only order the smaller size. Overall, a good change from the standard pizza places here.

How can I put it, I couldn't be more disappointed. Unfortunately, my friend and I ordered food from this store this evening because of the otherwise good reviews. The pizza is soggy and soaked in fat - the dough looks like toast. Very unfortunate. The boneless wings cannot be beaten in terms of tastelessness, the breading is anything but crispy and has more of the consistency of mashed potatoes. The mac'n'cheese tastes like macaroni has been cooked, allowed to cool and then baked with cheese. Where's the sauce? They have to be creamy and delicious :(. €55 is just way too much money for this extremely poor performance - I've never been so disappointed with food delivered.

Very nice shop with interesting decoration! The pizzas were super delicious, especially with the homemade ranch sauce! We also ate the chili cheese bites. 20/10 was totally surprised, you could taste that they were completely homemade!

Small, cozy room on site, nicely decorated. The Detroit-style pizza tastes very good. The base is, as is usual with American pizzas, quite thick, but nice and fluffy. The toppings are very aromatic. I like to eat a lot, but I chose the pizza size 'medium' instead of 'large' and don't regret the decision. Because of its thick base, even the 'medium' one is very filling. Oh, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. 5/5, gladly again.

The food is really above average. Rarely have such good ribs been eaten in a restaurant. The service was also very nice and accommodating. It's not exactly ideal for sitting there and eating, but it's perfectly fine

The pizza is awesome. However, me and my friends had the same issue several times where the restaurant doesn’t pay attention to the additions or substitutions (even if you payed extra for those or left a specific note). Keep that in mind when ordering and check your pizza right away if you order takeout. Apart from that, I totally recommend this place.

I was there once and had the bolognese with pasta and the sauce was really good. Even better than some Italian restaurants. The friendly service also makes the visit a pleasant stay.

Very tasty pulled beef burger. There were even more delicacies on the menu that tempted you to try them out. If you want to eat something unusual, you've come to the right place. I'd be happy to stop by again when I'm in the area. :)

#lunchtester With gourmet block. Inconspicuous with little service. More of a delivery service. However, the food convinced us. I had the Fisherman's Choice pizza, completely different but with a juicy, delicious topping and super crispy dough. The pull pork burger was equally delicious with a very tasty coleslaw. We'll come back, or have it brought. Recommended.

We expected a lot given the very good reviews, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The pizza tasted ok, not bad, but definitely not a taste experience. We also found the size to be too small for the price. The ambience and American design in the store are nice, but more seating would be desirable. I also expect a snack bar that not only offers take-away food but also on-site consumption to have a customer toilet. Especially since the waiting times are quite long.

Super delicious food. The pizzas are simply a taste experience, the goulash is finger-licking good and the ribs simply melt off the bone. Your fantastic ranch dressing tops it all off. We are absolute fans of this pizza, for us it is, without exaggeration, the best we have ever eaten in the whole city, we love it and order regularly, absolutely great, keep it up

The pulled beef pizza and coleslaw were authentic tasting and incredibly delicious! Fluffy pizza crust but not heavy at all. Can't wait to go back. Only thing I would like to see changed is the Mac and cheese - it was just some cheese melted on top of noodles which is not authentic 😋
