Crackers in Berlin is always a sure hit for me. As always, everything was top-notch: a harmonious, urban-elegant ambiance, superb food prepared with meticulous attention to detail, and attentive, unobtrusive service that perfectly complemented the evening. The cocktails deserve special mention – especially the Old Fashioned, which, in my opinion, is clearly one of the best in the city, if not the best overall. Perfectly balanced, no frills, exactly as it should be. A place you'll want to return to because the quality, atmosphere, and craftsmanship are consistently impressive. Highly recommended.

This is worth zero stars. Our visit was diabolical. Fine price and not fine dining food or service. We had to send 2 plates back. They didn’t serve our wine, in fact after we left we realised that we probably had at least half a bottle unfinished. Service was shocking- perhaps they were too busy for the staff they had but still at €500 for 4 people, we expected much better.

Very cool entrance increased expectations. Beautiful room. Once we sat down the rest of the experience was an expensive average. Service was rather brusque and without warmth. Food was ok - too much salt. It feels more like a place to be seen than to enjoy a good meal.

I come here ever so often and it has never failed to impress. Next to the great atmosphere reminiscent of the old club in which I had so many fun nights, I really appreciate the diverse selection of vegan, vegetarian, meat and fish options. As vegetarians who regularly dine with non-vegetarian friends, my wife and I are often left with only one choice per course or are forced to go vegan. At Crackers, everyone has a decent amount of options, no matter their dietary preference. Highly appreciated and recommended!

Everything is perfect, the flavour of the food, the friendliness of the staff, the lighting and decor, even the DJ’s choice of music when we were there which not intrusive, just atmospheric and mildly exciting

A friend and I went to Crackers last night and were absolutely thrilled with the food and the service. A shout out to the lovely Ciara for excellent recommendations, perfect service, and a sparkling personality. My only regret was that coming at 6:00 pm required a two-hour limit of stay. It put a little pressure on a dining experience that needed to be savored. One can move to the bar for dessert, but that felt a little awkward. Overall, highly recommend and plan to return soon.

I visited Crackers on Friedrichstrasse a while ago. The ambiance and central location are undoubtedly a big plus; the place has a special, urban feel. However, it's worth noting that there are no windows in the dining room. Culinary-wise, Crackers is in the fine dining category, but given the prices, I expected more depth of flavor and an even higher level of quality. As a result, I felt the value for money wasn't quite right. Overall, it's a stylish restaurant in a prime location, but on my next visit, I'd like to see a bit more of a "wow" factor on the plate.

It was a truly delightful evening! The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible; several people took care of us, and attention was paid to every detail. Aside from the quality of the food, we were very impressed with the service.

Very bad experience! The price is completely unreasonable!

I really liked the atmosphere and the interior of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. My meat dish was okay, but my friend's lentil and pumpkin dish was simply awful—basically just boiled lentils and tasteless pumpkin slices. The salad was nothing special either, essentially just leaves with tarragon. The only dish we really enjoyed was the mushroom soup. The service was also poor. Our server didn't speak German, which isn't usually a problem, but she became irritated when we asked to communicate in German, as my parents don't speak English well. Furthermore, our used plates sat on the table for a very long time, and we didn't receive new cutlery when the next dishes were served. Overall, the service was very mediocre. I wouldn't return to this restaurant for a meal—maybe just for a drink at the bar. But I definitely can't recommend it for dining.

It was another wonderful experience, and I'm already looking forward to the next time. A huge compliment to the chef for the cod. I've honestly never eaten such perfectly prepared cod before.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this review. My girlfriend and I arrived without any particular expectations, though we had heard that the restaurant used to be a dancing club. We loved the hidden entrance, so discreet that we walked past it the first time and had to circle back to find it. Along the corridor, a mural celebrating the venue’s vibrant past as a club set the tone perfectly. At the end of the hallway, we reached a large door that looked more like an emergency exit than the entrance to a fine restaurant. Opening it, we were surprised to find ourselves in a spotless kitchen, which we had to walk through to reach the main foyer. I thought this was a unique and memorable touch. Once inside, the host welcomed us warmly and guided us to our table. The waiter quickly arrived, offered to take our coats, and soon brought bread and butter before taking our order. The open-space architecture clearly hinted at its former life as a dance floor, and the stylish crowd made us feel slightly underdressed but in a good way. For drinks, I enjoyed a Rioja, while my girlfriend had a cocktail whose name I can’t recall, though its flavor and the glass straw left a lasting impression. For mains, I chose the Loin of Lamb, which was soft and tender, excellent, while she ordered the Filet of Beef. the fillet was slightly overcooked, but still flavorful. We finished with the Pumpkin Cake, which was simply delicious. Overall, great experience, diner and service.

A full of surprise restaurant (in positive way), hence I give overall 5 stars rating. The food, not only presented in beautiful way, also tasty, with high quality materials, a tender beef steak, home made friend potatoes, and melt in the mouth cheese cake - all lrrfect as you can see in my picture. Dedicated staff for the table make the service deserve another 5 stars. And the atmosphere, you have to visit to believe, the unexpected kind of warehouse or dungeon entrance to elegant dining area is just spectacular.

Great restaurant with a very modest speakeasy style entrance. I do wish the music was a little louder inside to match the club vibes with the equipment still in the restaurant. Worth a visit when in Berlin.

We came here for a multi-course dinner when an Austrian chef was guest-cooking. We arrived a bit early, so we waited at the bar and had some excellent cocktails. Every dish was outstanding, as was the service. I also have to praise the wines selected for each course — the pairings were perfect. The ambiance is truly something special. So beautiful restaurant.

This place is a piece of Berlin's cultural history. If you want to understand 1990s Berlin techno music, the best place to start is by eating here. The restaurant is stylish, with a dark ambiance, good music, a nice bar, and a great crowd. Very friendly hosts! Excellent fish and good meat. Very reasonably priced, would definitely come back.

Disappointing that the wine was served already poured without showing the bottle, which feels out of place for a fine dining restaurant. The food was just fine. The atmosphere was great.

Attentive service, lovely ambiance, literally in the heart of the city. However, you have to watch out for the iron gate on Friedrichstrasse, especially if you're using Google Maps.

This former nightclub is the perfect place for a date or dinner with friends. The atmosphere is calm yet intriguing and as the night progressed so did the tempo as a DJ appeared. Our food was 5 star, with a perfect Creamy Barrata balanced with a peach sauce and an Entrecotè steak to make a French man happy. Fries come with an array of condiments without asking and we drank an amazing bottle of Tempranillo and a few cocktails (the house margarita and G&T's went down well). Finally to mention the service was exceptional from our Australian Waitress Bella!

Beautiful restaurant, good, attentive service. Unfortunately, the steaks weren't cooked to the desired degree... The food itself is good, the sides were delicious, as were the desserts. 🔴 The restrooms definitely need more precise signage. As a woman, you don't want to encounter men in the women's restroom, which happened three times in one evening! The symbols are hard to identify.

Nice ambiance and friendly service, but unfortunately, the food, apart from the meat, is a disaster. The vegetarian and vegan options cost less than €1 (in this case, just beluga lentils, very little feta cheese, and a few pumpkin strips), and the taste is also incredibly bland.

Six of us were at Crackers and had a lovely evening. The location is great, the ambiance is cozy and atmospheric. However, some of the food was disappointing. There were some very good, tasty items, like the Ba Wo Q sauce, the French fries, the truffle mayo, and the fried potatoes. The tartar was also great, especially the bread that came with it. The beef fillets and entrecotes were of good quality, but not cooked properly. 4 out of 5 steaks were wrong. 4 medium-well came medium-rare. For this price range and with the advertised quality, it simply can't be the case that several people had to return their meat. The sweetcorn was heavily masked with coriander? It didn't really taste good. We found the consistency of the mushroom soup too thick, and it had a spicy aftertaste. The ketchup on the fries simply tasted like sugar. Our waiter, a young trainee, was friendly and engaging; we had a lot of fun. He created a great atmosphere and rocked the evening. We sometimes had to wait an hour for drinks from the bar. They're also "delivered" from the bar. The Cokes didn't arrive; we had to ask several times. We waited an hour for gins. The desserts were all delicious; we ordered everything from the menu, and we were all impressed. Overall, Crackers is pretty cool, but they definitely need some practice preparing the steaks, and having to ask for Cokes and gins four times after waiting for an hour isn't ideal either.

If you go to Berlin and don’t go to crackers you’re missing out and should have stayed home. The food is incredible. Don’t skip out on the desserts either.

Pretentious place. Mediocre food posing to be high class. Entrecote had so much ligaments. Not edible. Appetizers were nothing special. Vegetables were sour. Most of all, Customer service is non-existent. Definitely will not recommend

The food was great, the service a terribile experience. Slow, confusing and not funny. Last year I had here a great time, and today was really a pity to not have the possibility to try It again.

Conclusion: The ambiance, environment, and service were both very good. The food was exquisite, but the flavors were, to be honest, average. The appetizer bread was fragrant and lovely, but not particularly flavorful. The vanilla cream was okay. The bartenders were decent and up to standard. The beef tartare appetizer was good, and the burrata was also very good, with a refreshing yet rich flavor. The steak was okay, but average. The eggplant main course was honestly very strange and incomprehensible, but that was the only dish I had issues with. The mashed potatoes and fries were both excellent.

There was potential, but unfortunately the evening wasn't quite perfect. The service staff seemed understaffed (this was confirmed to us at the end with an apology when we confronted them directly; it would have been much nicer to be proactive). All the employees were nevertheless very, very friendly, but for the prices, it simply wasn't a complete experience: Good location, great venue - the appetizers were also very good, as was the wine we ordered. The meat for the main course was unfortunately too salty, but since we had already waited quite a long time for the food and the staff were busy, we just accepted it. We would have liked to order dessert, but as the evening progressed, it became increasingly crowded and no one asked for drinks. We were given the dessert menus upon request, but after that, we couldn't reach anyone to place our order. After about 30 minutes, we asked for the bill and went outside for ice cream. Without dessert, including drinks (half of the evening), appetizer, and the overly salty main course, we came to just under €100 per person. Maybe we'll give it another chance in the future and adjust the rating.

The wine was of good quality, but priced at the higher end, making the experience a bit more exclusive. The food was excellent, the wine was highly recommended, all well and good :) The atmosphere and location are really great. We spent just under €400 for two people, and found it pleasant.

We visited Crackers on a Monday in July 2025. We were actually escaping the storm and only found the restaurant by chance. The signage is very small. We had already eaten dinner, but we had cocktails made there. The bartender gave us extensive advice, as he mixed new cocktails himself. All were delicious and the service was excellent. We looked at the menu, and it seemed very interesting. It should be noted that the price range is a bit higher here. The ambiance is really nice, and in our opinion, there are no bad seats. All tables are well spaced from neighboring tables. We will be back.

Amazing restaurant. The environment is so beautiful and the food is delicious. I think the price of some main dishes could be a bit lower, but I understand the high focus on quality. Cocktails were really well prepared. The complimentary brioche with caramelized butter is divine. The chicken and ribeye were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The burrata was tasty but not impressive.

Like entering a speakeasy bar, the unexpected and simple entry of the restaurant makes the entrance to the restaurant even more impressive. The food is great and strongly recommend the beef tartar as an appetizer and the chicken as main. The cocktails are tasty although a bit expensive (circa 15€ each). The staff is extremely nice. Reservations are mandatory and credit card payments are possible.

Great experience - delicious and very creative dishes, with quality ingredients sourced taking into account the environment. Many vegetarian options and a very inclusive approach. Great efficient staff, and of course superb setting! The atmosphere was great - level of the music was normal (not the loud club version I had expected given the venue). We came here for a special occasion and while I wasn’t blown away by the food, it was of good quality and it was unique. Complimentary Bread for starter - dry cold bread that pulled apart easily and had nice presentation Fjord trout with peas as a starter - I imagined a fish salad as a dip and that’s what I wanted. So I was disappointed when I got sashimi style over a bed of peas. Just not what I wanted. Sirloin tips - the server did tell us this would be similar to a doner, and yes it was. Kind of fun. Brioche dumplings - I still don’t know what the heck was going on with this. It was brioche bread that somehow turned green mashed into a ball, I assume by a mix of spinach and other greens - ok thats fine, that’s a dumpling I got that. But, then it was soaked in this creamy tangy pungent cheese sauce, topped with a sweet tomato sauce, that sometimes tasted like poor quality ketchup and sometimes I wondered if it was a marinara masterpiece. I couldn’t decide. I can’t say I enjoyed this dish, but it did intrigue me so I guess I did enjoy it. Excellent atmosphere and kind service, although a little slow given there were very few other patrons, but I think that’s just the European way relative to American service. Overall good experience.

Fun atmosphere and cool energy, average food and small portions

After finding the entrance (gate between two buildings), going through a couple of doors and walking around the kitchen, we were absolutely impressed with the decor and ambiance! Bar staff were amazing, food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. A must if you are in Berlin!

The atmosphere at the restaurant was really unique and cool. The service was amazing. But the food was very disappointing. I ordered a ribeye steak that came out like a thin, burnt sole, even though I asked for it medium. The other dishes were also off and not tasty.

Cracker in Berlin is seriously cool — hidden entrance, trendy vibe, and great music. The food is super tasty (the beef tartare and truffle pasta were fire), and the drinks are strong in the best way. Terrible experience in this restaurant. The waiter was shouting at us and was very rude. We were in shock, and it took us few seconds to settle not to make bigger incident. That is when he started shouting and my husband touched him in order to protect me, since his reaction was excessive and completely redudant considering that I put the device away. I made a mistake not asking whether smoking iqos is allowed( even if it is in most restaurants in Berlin) but no one was approaching our table for so long. I understand that you want to keep high standards with your staff and I believed that you will understand my friendly suggestion that this is not the case with this guy in your team. Delicious experience in a very interesting restaurant. From ringing the doorbell at the front door, to walking through corridors and past the kitchen, to arriving inside the seating area and being served delicious food, the whole experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

If you are not under 30 years old and not female then you will not be served like that. We didn't make a reservation and were allowed to sit at the bar. We ordered beef fillet with everything and wine, the ladies next to us only ordered a drink with fries. However, extensive advice was given here and various shots were served. It's not our first time there: But that's not how we've gotten to know Crackers before. The prices aren't cheap either, you have to earn it first.

It was so delicious. The vegetarian surprise menu was without exception varied, tasty and really good for trying out many dishes. The service and the ambience are also great.

well! crackers, right? a lot of hype around, let's put it carefully: nothing! in order: The greeting from the kitchen comes in the form of a brioche bun, and for the vegans among us, two slices of charred toast. the cocktails are expensive. undoubtedly. The 2.00 Euro Ikea glasses probably not like that. Even the bottle of wine from southern Styria (you can hardly believe it - that's our home) for a cheap 150 euros doesn't taste much better than at home, where you can taste it in any not-so-exclusive atmosphere for 35 euros. The 3 dumplings (26.-) and the 2 strips of chicory (18.-) were carelessly prepared, but at least flattering for the figure. rarely eaten less than 300 kcal for more than 40 euros. But then there was still a positive highlight: the toilets. They reflect the lack of imagination and sadness in the quality and loveless arrangement of the food. like this: but now. ciao - baba. we're not coming anymore

Crackers simply delivered! The food was not only delicious, but really a little experience for the senses - creative, fresh and well coordinated. The atmosphere? Really cool. Dark, stylish, a bit edgy – just the right mix of fine dining and casual Berlin vibe. The best thing: We used to celebrate and dance here - today we sat at dinner, but the spirit was still there. A total flashback, in the best possible way! If you love good food and want to relive memories of legendary nights, you shouldn't miss Crackers.

Nice place with a “speak-easy” like entrance. The food is decent but a bit pricey for what it is. For an open space like this, they have really nailed the acoustics! Even though it was busy + dj was playing, we could still have a chilled conversation amongst our party.

I went to this restaurant with my friends and we were very satisfied. A pleasant surprise was that we were offered a berry sorbet to try as a thank you. There were numerous vegan dishes on the menu.

Cocktails showed potential but lacked consistency, swinging from well-balanced to oddly off-kilter. Unfortunately, the food struggled to impress. The bread, merely reheated, arrived far from fresh. The tartare lacked any real flavor, coming off as bland and uninspired. The salad, drowning in sauce, was more of a dressing showcase than a crisp, refreshing start. The main course was the biggest letdown: overpriced and underwhelming, delivering no more than average taste at a premium price. As for dessert, it was forgettable at best and certainly didn’t justify its cost. It’s disappointing to see a place that once had a stronger culinary identity lose its edge. For now, it remains an average experience masked by a hospitable front of house.

Unfortunately a bit disappointing. Coat Check apparently only exists selectively? At least we weren't asked if we wanted to give up our jackets. But the tables around us? My companion and I had two different menus, which was a bit strange. It turned out that my menu was old and an appetizer no longer existed. About 5-10 minutes after ordering we were informed that one of the main courses was not available that evening. Of course that can happen, but it was annoying. What I didn't like at all: There were about 6 different wait staff at our table to either take the order, serve food, set new cutlery, refill glasses, etc. It felt very arbitrary. In addition, the inquiries as to whether everything was okay with the food or whether it tasted good came far too late. The service staff were really friendly, but the visit overall didn't feel good. :(

I had dinner there again with friends on Friday and I was picked up completely again. We shared the starters, side dishes and dessert as a group - I would strongly recommend that you do the same if you go. So you can test everything and try your way through the menu. I'm a fan and will come back.

One of our favorite spots in Berlin!

Here the food takes on an innovative and regional flair. The ambience has an industrial, raw aesthetic. You enter the restaurant through an inconspicuous door, down a cold, almost mysterious corridor. Inside, the space is decorated with an open industrial kitchen that feels like part of the atmosphere. The food is expertly prepared. The cocktails are also highly recommended.
