A fantastic taco shop at Sendlinger Tor! The shop may be small and busy, but the atmosphere is great - simply a 10 out of 10! The service is super fun and lively. If the weather is good you can also sit outside on the terrace. There is often a round of shots on the house, which further lifts the mood. The chef is incredibly warm and personally ensures that everyone feels comfortable. And most importantly: the food is delicious! The tacos are to die for. Totally recommended for a fun evening with great food!

I occasionally come here with friends for food and drinks, and the tacos are particularly excellent. Since my girlfriend has celiac disease, we always have to ask about gluten-free options. So far, the staff has always been very knowledgeable and friendly, providing helpful recommendations. We can also highly recommend the drinks.

I spontaneously stumbled past here with my family on a Saturday. Despite it being so busy, we quickly got a large table outside and were provided with food and drinks. The tacos were really heavenly good!!! It's like being back on vacation in Mexico! The staff was super relaxed and attentive. We immediately felt well received. Class! I can only recommend it to everyone.

I absolutely love this taqueria in Munich! The tacos are simply sensational – fresh, aromatic and with a great selection of fillings. A big compliment goes to the boss, who obviously knows his craft and works with great attention to detail. Despite the store being full, the service was incredibly friendly and quick. You immediately felt comfortable and welcome. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this taqueria to everyone!

A real insider tip next to the “Wedding Chapel”! Comal is the perfect place to start the evening with delicious tacos and drinks and then end it in the Wedding Chapel. The menu is small and doesn't offer countless options, but there really is something for every taste. The taste of the tacos is unbeatable - definitely the best of all the taquerias in Munich that I have tried so far. The selection of cocktails leaves nothing to be desired. I was particularly impressed by the sours! The guys in service are friendly, quick and ensure a great atmosphere. I will definitely come back!

The Comal really surprised me in a positive way! The taco shop has rightly made a name for itself (recommended by friends). The atmosphere is super cozy and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable for Munich standards. The tacos are prepared in-house and taste authentically Mexican, something I've never found before in Munich! The cocktails are also really delicious; we can particularly recommend the Pisco sour. We came here spontaneously on a Friday evening and even though we showed up without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. You really have to say, the staff really made our evening here special. The waitresses are really cool and you can tell that they really enjoy working here - that's immediately transmitted to the guests. An absolute must for anyone looking for authentic vibes and delicious food! We'd love to come back!

A real pearl in Munich! The taqueria may be small, but that only adds to the cozy atmosphere. The place fills up quickly, which is completely understandable given the delicious and authentic tacos they serve. Despite the rush, the employees always keep an overview and ensure that every guest is well looked after. The taste of the tacos is simply fantastic - you feel like you've been transported to Mexico. Definitely a top address for all taco fans!

What a disappointing evening. The menu selection feels more like that of a bar with a grill kitchen. In terms of taste, the mini portions didn't impress me at all and I've loved Tex/Mex for more than 20 years. I haven't been as disappointed as I was after that evening in a long time. Given the prices quoted, the portion size almost seemed like a bad joke, the quality was OK, but even for me, a "Munichian used to grief", the price/performance ratio felt completely incomprehensible. I will not visit this restaurant again. There are just so many other shops in the area that are fun, offer a pleasant atmosphere and where the selection, service and price seem to be more fairly balanced. It's a shame, I would have been really happy to add a nice little Mexican to my favorite restaurants. It definitely won't be the Comal. I will avoid visiting there in the future. I am surprised by the many very positive voices here and can in no way understand 99 percent of the praising statements after my visit. That also puts a stale taste in my mouth.

Afterwards we went to the Turkish restaurant... No joke. I was happy that the tacos were relatively cheap. What we got were three palm-sized tacos, more or less cold, with a topping that was also more or less cold. But we waited 45 minutes for that. We even waited 30 minutes for nachos, which were poured straight from the bag into a bowl. The fact that the waitress smoked outside twice during the whole time certainly didn't help. Oh yes, if anyone thinks a reservation would help... the message I sent was skillfully ignored. There were nine of us and we ended up sitting at two distant tables, one inside and the other outside. Once and never again.

There are great tacos in Munich, but unfortunately not here. A clear map is usually really a sign of quality. Here we were overwhelmed by this. The tacos were dry and flavorless. Price-performance is not right. But you wouldn't have wanted to eat more anyway. The service was overwhelmed: from the first time we took the order to the "in between" clearing up a bit (the tables were too small and too close together). Was nothing.

Once and never again, In my opinion the price-performance ratio was not right. The food came to the table basically cold, for which we waited 45 minutes. The tacos didn't taste like anything, but with a few hot sauces it probably tasted like something. The local is very small and you won't be seated together as a group. That was a real shame. In addition, the waitress smoked several times in the hour we were there, which of course didn't help the speed.

I love taco al pastor. Unfortunately I didn't understand this interpretation of it. We also tried all of the other snacks, but they were anything from bad to nasty. Unprocessed canned corn with mayo for 7 euros... Ah go, that wasn't cheeky, it was funny again. It is not a store that I will give a second chance.

This place was really something. The drinks were very worth it and the price was just right! The food was okay nothing spectacular but it does get you full and satisfied. The service was a little slow but I guess it was a busy time but we will definitely come back. The only thing that I would say is a downer is that you cannot reserve for anything below 4 people so you have to be lucky to find a table.

I have high standards when it comes to food, so I felt compelled to write this review because everyone who visits or lives near this restaurant needs to know about it. While having a drink at a local bar, I asked the waiter for a recommendation for good local food. She suggested Comal. First of all, I love a small menu. There's something great about focusing and perfecting a specialty—and this place does tacos! And bloody well! The bar staff were incredibly friendly, which is always a huge plus. I couldn't find a single fault: the quaint seating, the vibe—I loved it all. When the food arrived, I don't think I've ever eaten so quickly. I was genuinely amazed by the flavors, using simple ingredients to great effect. I've already told two strangers today about the fantastic food and service, and now I felt I had to share it here - on Google, as the whole world needs to know about this gem! Also, if you like Margaritas, you're in for a treat! Oh my!!! Thank you for making me feel at home. I felt so welcomed, especially being alone in a new city. Thanks to my new friends for the wonderful hospitality. I will definitely be back, but in the meantime, I'll continue to sing your praises!

This small but cozy Mexican restaurant has good location and schic atmosphere. The chef and arbeiterinn was really nice. I was satisfied with Tacos as well. But sometimes very laud people came in and ruin the mood. Schade.

Unfortunately it didn't suit my taste. The “nachos” for me weren’t nachos at all, what I know as baked or poured tortilla chips. The sauce with my “Chipotle Chunks” tasted too much like vinegar. I would have been happy to find a good taqueria but I'll keep looking for now. But service was friendly and when the weather was good you could sit outside on the street.

Most authentic tacos in Munich. As an American homesick for real authentic al pastor this filled an incredible void. Too busy for the amount of staff working but it’s not their fault! Great margaritas and tacos. Will go back

We had a very nice evening! Cozy tacos bar where you can have a few drinks and beers and snack. The tacos reminded me of my stay in Mexico and they were delicious and authentic. In addition, the service is attentive, friendly and flexible. Drinks that are not on the menu can easily be ordered upon request. I can definitely recommend Comal and will come back!

What a gem on Thalkirchner Str. After the sadness of the closure of Palau, I was more than reconciled here. The girls at the counter are super friendly and approachable, personable and professional. The cook who stepped in was also so nice to us. Everyone had a smile on their faces at all times, how nice. The food was delicious, juicy, fresh tacos, lovely. Of course not like in México, because the Comal is in Munich and because it is not a restaurant, greetings to the reviewer in advance.. The space is nice and small, there are colorful, cool people hanging around. We would love to come back.

It's a nice idea but the tacos they sell are not "original" tacos!! Y solo hay salsas de botella!!, If you want to eat tacos, it's better to go somewhere else. The atmosphere is nice but the food is not recommended.

Really disappointed. If you are searching for authentic Mexican tacos, avoid this place at all costs. The guacamole came with flavoured Doritos chips!! I don’t need to say more about the “quality”.

One of the best Mexicans in Munich - in my opinion the Tacos Al Pastor are very authentic (at least as authentic as you can get in Germany). Here you really get Mexican food and not just any Tex-Mex dish. 3 tacos for 10€ are of course more than you're used to in Mexico, but it's completely okay for Munich (if you're very hungry, we recommend ordering an appetizer) Atmosphere is also very nice - small and cozy. Reservations are recommended as it is always relatively full.

Very authentic taqueria with a cozy atmosphere and extremely delicious food. You can hear a lot of Spanish/Mexican among the guests, which clearly speaks for the store. The Chipotle Chunk Tacos are absolutely amazing, the Cauliflower Tacos aren't quite as good, but they're also recommended. Service is a little understaffed or if it is chosen that way, it can sometimes take a little longer. Good drinks. Unfortunately the brown rum was out, my Dark & ​​Stormy was made with white rum, without asking. It was ok, but it could certainly be solved better.

To be fair at the end 2 stars, as it was a pleasant atmosphere and great service. Very positive staff. However, the only kind of Mexican thing on the menu is the tacos pastor, and they were ok but far from a recommendation. The chorizo was not Mexican, but the Spanish version sliced. The nachos were not home made, rather Tex-Mex fake ones from the supermarket. No real Mexican drinks either. Cannot really recommend, sorry.

The food was thoroughly disappointing. The “nachos” were chips with guacamole. The chips were from the grocery store and covered with the gross, fake “ Mexican”seasoning. The queso fundido was a pan of normal melted cheese that you would never be able to scoop with a chip. For that reason, it was served with forks and tortillas which the staff called “tacos”. The place has a nice atmosphere and friendly service. Unfortunately, it’s did not satisfy my craving for Mexican or Tex-Mex food Munich.

Die beste Tacos die ich in München bisher probiert habe. Das Essen und die Drinks sind so lecker, ich bin inzwischen hier Stammkundin. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und man merkt dass der Laden mit Liebe geführt wird. Auch die Bedienungen sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend und haben sehr gut alles im Blick. Das Ambiente ist sowohl drinnen als auch draußen super süß. Vorallem jetzt im Sommer zum draußen sitzen und was sippen - mein neues go-to Lokal!

Ich habe dieses Restaurant mit einer Freundin entdeckt. Wir wollten eigentlich nur schnell auf ein paar Drinks vorbei und sind wegen dem super Service gleich noch zum Essen geblieben! Die Auswahl und die Qualität der Tacos haben uns überzeugt. Eine sehr gute Möglichkeit in München seine Leidenschaft für Tacos zu entdecken. Great and authentic Mexican food in Munich! As a Mexican native it has been quite hard to find a good Mexican restaurant and here the tacos were delicious. The tortillas are made with Mexican corn and you can taste it. They also had smokey mezcal drinks! Would highly recommend. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available and delicious.

Great food. Great ambience. Even better service! Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough - you must dine here if you’re in Munich. Also a good selection of music and well priced drinks. I would definitely recommend the Al Pastor tacos- all the food comes timely and the little things are taken care when eating here. They accept Apple Pay/card payments as well which is a plus. My favourite meal so far in Munich - thanks to the server for other recommendations too!

Es gibt in München immer noch keine guten Tacos. Außerdem, wie schwer ist es, eine anständige Guacamole zu machen? Wir bekommen eine halbgefrorene Guacamole. Ich habe mich gefreut, endlich ein gutes Lokal mit mexikanischem Essen zu finden, leider wurde ich enttäuscht.

As Mexican, I approve this restaurant. My only complaint is the Tortilla, but I don't expect it to be the same as in Mexico, especially because in Germany greasy food is not common. The meat was great and the sauce as well. I am really glad that I found this place because at least I have something that makes me feel similar to home food-wise.

Decent tacos, overpriced and slow service

Ich kann das Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen. Es ist klein, die Tische sind winzig, was aber zu verschmerzen wäre. Der Service ist freundlich, aber viel zu langsam oder nicht gut organisiert. 20 Minuten Wartezeit bis man die Karte bekommt (auf Nachfrage) und weitere 15 Minuten bis man dann die Bestellung aufgeben kann ist einfach zu lang. Das kulinarische Angebot ist überschaubar (positiv!), es gibt es ein paar Vorspeisen und 4 Varianten Tacos. Die Guacamole fand ich geschmacklich gut, die Nachos/Totopos leider eher wie 0815 Chio Chips. Leider war gestern eine der beiden vegetarischen Taco-Varianten um 20Uhr bereits nicht mehr bestellbar. Die Zubereitung der bestellten Tacos hat dann nochmal geschlagene 20 Minuten gedauert. Dafür, dass man nur ein paar fertige Zutaten auf eine aufgewärmte Tortilla legt, eindeutig zu lange. Den Inhalt der Tacos (Chipotle Chunks) fand ich auf jeden Fall lecker, leider war die Tortilla eine Katastrophe, viel zu trocken und bröselig, ist beim Essen ständig auseinandergefallen und hatte auch einen eher mehligen Geschmack. Da ich in Mexiko lebe bin ich möglicherweise hier etwas verwöhnt. 9€ für die drei Tacos mit überschaubarem Inhalt sind preislich auf jeden Fall knackig.
