Amigos Restaurante Mexicano in München

We had dinner at Amigos for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! The restaurant is small and very lovingly furnished. The service was great, very friendly and quick! The food and the margaritas were really delicious 😋 We'd love to come back! Thank you for this great evening

Sí, estamos en Alemania, pero a veces tuvimos que probar algunas cocinas diferentes, y este fue el mejor restaurante mexicano que visitamos durante nuestro tiempo allí. Probablemente es más una cocina de estilo Tex - Mex / americano, pero lo disfrutamos y sentimos que estaba bien hecho. Los nachos y fajitas sabían genial, y también disfrutamos del chile con carne. Definitivamente me alegro de que cenamos aquí una noche cuando estábamos en Munich.

I don't think there is any Mexican restaurant that I like more than Amigos. However, reservations are necessary. For me personally in the top 5 of my personal favorite restaurants. I've been there several times and I'll definitely come back.

Cosy family-operated restaurant. Mexican food was authentic and really good. My kids gobbled up the fajitas. Dessert (churros and banana split) were delicious. The margaritas were very good too. Well worth a visit!

I had to let some time pass between our visit but now I have to write my opinion. We had a company party there and apart from the fact that the owners are completely confused, I unfortunately can't say anything about the food because I didn't get anything. It was reserved for 25-30 people. Unfortunately, he had only allocated seats for 20 people and even that was tight. When asked where we should sit, only 2 chairs were squeezed in. A pleasant meal would not have been possible there. After some back and forth, we decided (2) to go, to which we replied that there were two places in between. Since I didn't want to eat in a small space, I was told to wait and he would make us something to take away. Sorry...you notice "company party". The 2 of us left and the rest stayed. There were 4 guests standing in front of the door who had reserved, but their reservation was simply canceled without prior notice. Something like that doesn't work at all. The rest of the group had to wait 2 hours for their food, which they had pre-ordered days ago. The taste was supposed to be good, but we couldn't judge that. Dear Mr. Owner, we will not redeem the voucher that you gave to our colleagues for us because we will never enter your restaurant again. Thanks for the spoiled evening with colleagues!

Leider konnte bekam ich nichts zum Essen, da der Betreiber völlig Planlos und unorganisiert war. Die Platzreservierung über 25 Personen, wurde vor mehreren Monaten durchgeführt. Die Speisen wurden im Voraus bestellt. Es gab aber nur Platz für 20 Personen und mal fühlte sich wie in einer Sardinenbüchse. Auf Anfrage hieß es er stellt 2 Stühle dazu. Das ist leider nicht tragbar da man sich beim essen, nichteinmal bewegen könnte. Auf meine Aussage dass ich mit meinem Mann wieder gehe meinte man, ich solle warten, er macht etwas zum Mitnehmen. So etwas geht gar nicht !!! Ich habe dieses Angebot ausgeschlagen und meine Gruppe mit 20 Leuten alleine gelassen. Vor der Türe trafen wir Gäste die Reserviert hatten jedoch wurde gesagt dass die Reservierung storniert wurde ohne bescheid zu geben. Der Rest unserer Gruppe musste 2 Stunden auf´s Essen warten. Ich persönlich werde diese Lokal nie mehr aufsuchen. Das Essen und Ambiente scheint gut zu sein, jedoch kam ich ja nicht dazu es auszuprobieren.

Wonderful little setting with a great atmosphere. Great service. Even though we don't live in Munich and just wanted to eat something spontaneously, we were seated immediately. It's best to go when it's dark because of the great lighting. Perfectly seasoned. Gladly again! 🥰

For us, Amigos is the best Mexican restaurant in Munich! It's authentic and the food is really tasty. We look forward to the nachos with cheese gratin every time we visit - for us the best in the city. The dips are freshly prepared - we have often seen that industrial products are used in other restaurants - and the margarita tastes excellent. We really like the decoration of the restaurant and the owners are warm hosts. Overall great and highly recommended!

Service was good. Food not too special. It is texmex, not real mexican. They offer fajitas on corn tortillas for gluten-free. From the fajitas we tried chicken and beef BBQ, the sauce was yummi. The beef and camarones one was ok. Something you could probably make at home. Their offer on cocktails, mezcales and tequila seems large.

A very nice and small restaurant. The food is super tasty and very authentic. You feel comfortable and the restaurant has real charm. It is furnished with great attention to detail. But if you want to eat at peak time in the evening between 6-7 p.m., you should definitely reserve a table. It's definitely worth a visit and we'll definitely be back. Sometimes you just have to wait a bit when it comes to ordering drinks. There are only two of the owners and they operate the entire store. But it's worth the wait because they are really friendly and really try hard. Highly recommended 👍

What we liked: The decoration was really nice and authentic. The service was also good What was ok: the was ok but not so great. What we didn’t like: the menu was pretty limited (no tacos!), they overcharged us for the salsa and the shots we had.

Entramos al restaurante con los ladridos fuertes y continuos de un perro cliente. No estamos de acuerdo con los perros en los restaurantes de todos modos, ya que los camareros los acarician y luego tocan su comida. Lo hemos visto muchas veces. Pero decidimos quedarnos ya que se iban sin embargo justo en ese momento de la cocina otro perro comenzó a ladrar. (suponemos que los propietarios) En ese momento habíamos visto suficiente. Nos fuimos así que no podemos revisar la comida. NB: Nos gustan los perros pero tienen su lugar.

Went here for something to eat quickly after work and were pleasantly surprised. Not the standard TexMex menu. Chili con carne good, but very hot. Burrito with banana and coconut is exciting and something different. Guacamole and rice very tasty like you get in Mexico. Unfortunately no refried beans. Good cocktails. Toilet accessible at ground level. Toilet bowl very very low, almost like in kindergarten.

It was a very good experience in general, the people were very friendly, the service was fast, the quantities were ok, I ate fajitas with friends and some niches, the fajitas were very good, I would only say that there was little guacamole to accompany it, but it tasted very good . The nachos were also very good, they are not 100% Mexican style, but the version they have is also very good.

One of the best fajitas I've ever eaten there. Very friendly staff, cozy shop and you can almost see the food being prepared. Wonderfully large portions of fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. Hard to recommend when visiting Munich. Anyone can do Hofbräuhaus, but that…..meeeegaaa.😎🥰

Great food, great people, we eat at the restaurant often. Sami is fantastic at making you leave happy and full every time. I highly recommend it for something special. Of course not to forget the "little" amigo Samuel who runs up and down to satisfy the customer in that he doesn't miss anything!!!! Danke Amigos!

Best mexican restaurant in town.

Get a seat without a reservation. Service was friendly. Restaurant small, nicely decorated. We were disappointed with the food. Dishes were very overpowered by cheese. Plato Amigos: 1 burrito with cheese and some vegetables in it, 1 burrito with cheese and some chicken in it, then 1 quesadilla with cheese, 2 small bowls of salsa, a small salad and rice for almost 24 euros, very expensive. Salad with prawns: the grilled vegetables were so spicy that you couldn't eat them. In burritos, a juicier, cheeseless filling with rice belongs. I also missed the corriander and lime. If the post helped you, please leave a like. Positive: the cocktails were good. My friends liked the tequila at the end. For those who didn't like tequila, there was a non-alcoholic version. Conclusion: Too expensive to go again.

An incredible Mexican place in Munich! The food was fantastic and their margaritas were super good. The prices are a bit high, but on par with many other restaurants in Munich. Both the chimichanga and the fajitas were very nice, and the portions quite big.

Super delicious food, great ambience and super friendly staff. The portions were more than enough. At first we thought “oh the portion of Texas Chicken Asado is small” but my husband was already full after the portion. At the end there was a homemade cinnamon tequila shot on the house, it was great! We will definitely go again but this time with the family 😉

Nice little restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food was tasty, but lacked the typical Mexican taste that we know very well from many visits to Mexican restaurants in the USA. We have never encountered curry as the dominant spice there.

This is the best place I have ever visited. We were traveling and had an unexpected stay in Munich where Amigos showed us unreal kindness by serving us food, even though they were originally closed. This is the best visit I have ever experienced and the food was as perfect as the friendliness of the staff.

I recently dined at Amigos, and it was an absolutely dreadful experience. The staff was incredibly unfriendly, and despite having a reservation, we were left waiting for an eternity before anyone bothered to show us to our table. The food was atrocious—my meat was excessively salty, and the other components were completely tasteless. Portions were minuscule, and the drinks were outrageously overpriced. Our server was shockingly rude and inattentive, blatantly ignoring our simple requests. Overall, it was a thoroughly disappointing visit. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for a better dining experience.

A nice Mexican restaurant. The service is courteous and very polite. We also enjoyed and enjoyed the food. Big compliments to the kitchen! The only thing that bothered us (but the operator can't do anything about that) was the traffic noise. If we are in Munich again, we would like to come back.

Great authentic Mexican restaurant. Are totally thrilled. It's a small restaurant, so reservations are recommended. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy. The food was prepared very quickly but freshly. We had beer, a classic margarita, 1 bottle of mineral water, 1 guacamole (fantastic) as a starter, and 2x fajitas. The meat is totally soft and the shrimp are large and juicy. We paid €82 for everything. Price performance is right!

My spicy burrito was delicious and served efficiently with great drinks. If I were at Ostbahnhof and wanted Tex-Mex, I would take the 21 tram for twenty minutes past other options to go to this restaurant.

Nett eingerichtet, sehr klein aber wirklich gemütlich. Der Service ist etwas verplant und braucht sehr lange aber trotz allem sehr nett. Das Essen war leider etwas enttäuschend, wir hatten uns mehr erhofft, extrem viel Käse und auch geschmacklich nur Durchschnitt.

Honestly, if you want easy texmex, this is the right place. Clearly a very German menu with the classics. But plenty of it, tasty and with really great service. I don't share the criticism about the uncomfortable chairs ;)

It is a cozy place decorated with a mexican motive. The price is more expensive than others that we tried but that is bc the portions are also bigger. I would not call it a mexican restaurant, I have lived in L.A. so for me it is more a mexican style restaurant. I like that they added beans to the food and it looked appealing. The service was fast. The music is has the perfect volume. Everything looked cleaned. The cocktails bearly had alcohol but they give you tequila when you are going to pay. It is a good place to go. I liked it.

Service was nice and courteous, we didn't make a reservation and still got a table after waiting about 10 minutes. The food, however, was a bitter disappointment. The mixed starter platter with Mexican starters consisted only of fried vegetables and cost around €20. Price-performance ratio was extremely poor here. The cocktails were good. The main course was tasty but cold. It seemed like it had been prepared and then just warmed up in the microwave (or pan). I think my rating would have been completely different if this very poor and expensive starter had not been available.

Real insider tip! Unfortunately it's a bit lost between the fast food snacks. The food is really excellent and very generously portioned. You will be 100% full.

Only the amount of fajita ingredients seems to be intentionally such that you have to order tortillas, and the dips could also have been a little more generous, considering the rather high price of almost 20 euros for 5 wraps, fried vegetables and 3 small ones Dips.

Wer hier 100% mexikanische Küche erwartet ist falsch. Nach Rücksprache mit dem Besitzer scheint authentische Küche vom Publikum nicht angenommen zu werden. Unsere Reklamation wurde extrem wertgeschätzt und wohlwollend aufgenommen. Auch wenn wir vom Essen enttäuscht waren, sind wir nach längerem Gespräch mit dem Inhaber versöhnt nach Hause gegangen. Service super freundlich und prompt.
