Nice Vietnamese restaurant. The food was good. But there are better Vietnamese restaurants in Frankfurt. Good, fast service

There were hairs in the food, when the delivery ship arrived they said there was no money to return even though it had been noted on the app. The fish sauce is very light and not fragrant, which compensates for the salty chicken. The packaging was so bad, when it was delivered, all the fish sauce was poured out.

Everything very fresh and very tasty

It's a shame, one can only hope that I made a mistake. The food was so sugary that you could hardly eat it. I wanted a main course, but not an overly sugary dessert. The spring rolls tasted like they had been reheated in the deep fryer for the second time. Only hunger forced it in. The soup was only available in the “beef version” and at times like these? €45 for an unsatisfied palate, we won't be coming back, it indeed felt like "money burned"! Then next time we'll look for the Thai guy around the corner!

I really hate to write bad reviews, but this time I have to because we were very disappointed. This restaurant didn't suit our taste at all. The spring rolls were fried for too long and didn't taste fresh. We once had a vegetarian dish with tofu with an extremely sweet sauce that was almost inedible. Then we had the classic Pho soup which, despite asking, was not available in a vegetarian version, but instead there was a beef broth with tofu. It's incomprehensible why you can't have a pot of vegetable broth in the kitchen at the same time. We experienced more flexibility on the streets even in Hanoi. Unfortunately no further recommendation from us.

The food was delicious, but I've definitely had better Asian food. To be honest, the curry wasn't very flavorful. I was missing something. But I liked that everything was fresh and seasonal vegetables were used. The service was friendly, but sometimes a bit inattentive. We sometimes had to wait a long time. The atmosphere was very, very nice and really inviting. Inside, plants hang in the room and the available space is used smartly. I would come back if I were ever in the area. But I wouldn't consciously go to the restaurant.

A great restaurant, great ambience, and the food is fantastic!

Super friendly and cordial service. However, the food was nothing out of the ordinary, the chicken was a little dry and the other dish was cold. But if you are in the area and want a quick lunch without it being a big deal, it might be a decent option.

Staff is not very welcoming. I had the Pho and I didn’t even finish it because the taste was not the best. The one thing I can recommend is the curry.

Frankfurt am Main February 14, 2025 I was there today from 12:15 to 1:10 p.m comai Modern Viet Kitchen as a guest. First of all, the food tasted very good! Even if the strips of beef in my food had to be searched for a bit. But OK! I went in and no one comes and says anything, so I ask if I can just sit down. The answer: YES (no more) The small, all-in-one, cozy restaurant has around 60 seats, at that time there were 21 guests present until I left. Most of the tables were set up/prepared for six people. A male waiter comes and says: Just one? I ask: Excuse me? Him: Just one person? Me: Yes... Him: Then you have to leave here when it gets crowded. ? Ok… I asked before if I could just sit down!?! 👎🏻 My mint tea for 3.90 and my food arrive almost at the same time. Ok ✅ A tea in the size of approx. 150 ml for 3.90 was a bit too much € for a bit too little tea. No offer of sugar, honey or anything else. While the approximately 20-25 guests are eating their food, another lady starts fiddling around with a ladder between the tables to hang up a few funny Valentine's hearts. Ok just in the middle🤔 uncomfortable! I'm finished and draw my attention to the fact that I want to pay & because there is no demand here either, neither for tea nor for food, whether it was good or whether I would like anything else!?! OK. 👎🏻 Total price 18.40 € I would like to pay by card, since this was only possible from 20 €, 1.60 is simply added brazenly with a note from a lady: She: is at the door! I would have liked to have another drink, tea or some dessert, but the request was made with nieces and there was no interest in communicating with the guest. Really no interest! Conclusion: The food was good and tasted really great, but the rest of it is part of the feel-good factor. All in all, unfortunately, it was just a mediocre to unsatisfactory experience! What a shame!

Unfortunately there was nothing special in terms of taste and the service seemed very lackluster. Price-performance not justified.

We found the food very tasty and good. The service was friendly and accommodating. We found the ambience of the restaurant less cozy, the furniture looked more like a canteen.

The Thai restaurant at Ostbahnhof offers selected Thai starters, main courses and desserts on both the weekly and regular menus. The service during our visit was quick and friendly and the dishes were prepared fresh and quickly. It would be desirable if the main courses were served after the starters. The taste was excellent and the price/performance was right.

The place is nicely decorated, the dishes are aromatic, but the beef in the pho is unfortunately too mixed and cut too thick. The crispy chicken is also partly flexible. Service was inflexible: it was not possible to change from pasta to rice for another dish, even though the menu says that requests are happy to be accommodated.

So delicious! Simply great, healthy food prepared with a lot of love! In winter it could be made a little more comfortable so that you would want to stay even more. Dressing a little warmer is not a mistake...

Vietnamese restaurant in a good location with typical local dishes such as Pho and summer rolls. I had a delicious Bun Bo Hue noodle soup. Service was quick and friendly.

I wanted to sit in the garden so often, but usually something wasn't right, hunger, lack of time and somehow you don't really want to stroll past there, given how loud the Hanauer Landstrasse is. But once you walk through the slightly offset garden gate (past the first unobserved outdoor area...), it's straight away just quiet and sweet. I was somehow grinning the whole time and feeling good. A very discreet mini garden with a magical fountain, as well as a relaxed, strikingly pleasant service and a transparent, covered view of the sky. Every now and then a cook would bring a new box of fresh vegetables from off-screen into the kitchen, where the magic was being done diligently and I found that even more comfortable. Everything that passed me in terms of warm food was really so refreshingly delicious in terms of smell and appearance that I ordered the wrong thing out of sheer enthusiasm...🙄 I got wok-fried beef with lemongrass, chili, udon noodles, mushrooms, bok choy, peanuts, fried onions and fresh herbs, practically a warm typical Vietnamese noodle salad with beef. I know this dish very well because I have tried it at various Asian restaurants I've eaten in places before, as I often do at home, so I really wanted something new and unknown... The disappointment about my stupidity disappeared after the first bite of beef in my mouth, wow and speechless! I hadn't ordered meat for a long time because I've radically reduced my meat consumption for months (less and less quality and less and less tolerated...), but this melted in your mouth and was wonderfully delicately seasoned. Fantastic! One thing is absolutely certain: They've got me on their hands! I try this menu up and down with meat, with tofu, with whatever... - there is even a lunch menu. I'm subscribing to a place 🤣 This will please my pedometer, the new harbor walks with happy endings in Comai East I already have a soft spot for aesthetics when it comes to interiors, decorative food and food prepared with heart, and of course the associated toilets... This one was even worth a photo session for me 😂 A hidden little wonder, this restaurant where everything is just right. I am happy to have discovered this place Extremely thrilled 🤌 Dined there again today, 6 days later, with nuts... This time it was supposed to be the big soup with beef and it was a poem, she had my salad from last time. Before that, the usual summer roll, just me with mango and duck (also ok, but nothing beats the usual shrimp combo and here they are particularly tasty somehow) For dessert we treated ourselves to flan, which is served here in cold coffee with ice cubes... Well, that wasn't ours, but the flan was like our Italian crème caramel (great consistency!!!) So we secretly poured the ice cream from the potting soil and the coffee into the other one that I had ordered, so I had 3 (...) cold coffees and was awake until 4am..🙄🤣🕺🙈 So, I love this store 🙏👌

I had a pho with chicken. The broth and herbs, good. But the chicken... clearly the small vacuum-packed slices from the supermarket, so, super dry chicken, almost papier-mâché. It's really a shame.

Super tasty and everything fresh

Disappointing lunch experience I went here for lunch, and although the wait time was a bit long, it was understandable given how busy the place was. I would recommend a table outside as inside is very crowded and kitchen smells are felt throughout the room. However, the prices for the lunch menu were higher compared to similar spots, which would’ve been fine if the food quality matched. Unfortunately, the food was not truly enjoyable, which ended up being the biggest disappointment.

Even though they have some vegetarian options, there is no vegetarian Pho, which I am generally looking for at Vietnamese places. I don't know why most Vietnamese restaurants in Germany don't offer vegetarian Pho, in other countries you have it. Also, i have asked if the Apfelschorle is naturtrüb (unfiltered) and the waitress said it is. It wasn't...

COMAI East – Simply delicious! I absolutely loved my visit to COMAI East! The Vietnamese food is amazing – so fresh and delicious! The Pho Bo in particular blew me away. The broth was incredibly flavorful and the meat was so tender. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff are really friendly. I felt really comfortable there. If you are looking for good Vietnamese food, you should definitely go to COMAI East!

I was there for lunch: summer rolls, spring rolls, passion fruit spritzer. Everything was very good, freshly prepared, the service was courteous.

Great Vietnamese restaurant with a clear menu, beautiful interior design and a romantic outdoor terrace. My go-to address for Phở, the noodles are firm to the bite and nice and wide, the broth tastes like mom's, the meat is nicely textured with fat. Only the meatballs (Bò Viên) are below average, far too soft. The other dishes are also delicious, but I actually only ever order Phở here... Portions are large and the food comes very quickly. Service is unobtrusive and friendly. Clear recommendation!

2 mit Avocadocreme lieblos bestrichene Brotscheiben und ein 0,3l fancy Matcha Getränk mach 28,82 €. Und das bei Selbstbedienung. Komplett lächerlich und nicht zu empfehlen. Geschmeckt hat das trockene Brot auch nicht.

The three of us (one child) were at Comai East on Sunday lunchtime. The atmosphere is nice, the food was very good, fresh and beautifully prepared, the portion size was great and the service left nothing to be desired. If you are visiting there in summer and need some refreshment, you should definitely try the Passion Fruit Juice! We also found it nice that children are very welcome guests of the owners. So no one was bothered by the fact that d. Little one darted through the restaurant every now and then. On the contrary: the employees even made little jokes and there was also something to paint. Simply great, thank you!

We've been here twice now for lunch and we're thrilled. Whether on the weekend after a game of table tennis or from the home office, Comai is a place that enlivens the Ostend and brings people together. The service is incredibly fast and the dishes are also very suitable for vegetarians. The best are the spring rolls, I have never eaten such good spring rolls and I would come to Comai any time just for that.

I've only ordered so far but I have to say, definitely the best Asian in the area. Certainly not snack prices but worth every cent. Super fresh, super tasty, still hot when it arrives. I always have something to complain about, but with the 3 times I've ordered here now, I really can't complain about ANYTHING. Great keep it up!

I'm a Pho Bo hunter. Pho was one of the best I've ever eaten. Rich taste and not oversalted. Just right. But I would love to have more broth to enjoy completely. Chicken with noodles, peanuts and cucumbers was also good. Nice terrace in the inner yard.

Was there for the first time today. Very nice shop, the small garden is also very cozy. Unfortunately, I was a little wrong when it came to eating because I ordered udon noodles with coconut sauce, mushrooms and chicken. The dish felt like a soup with the noodles floating in it. The sauce probably had cream added to it in addition to coconut milk, so it tasted quite rich and powerful. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were fresh. Next time it will be more of a classic dish.

I ordered a noodle soup and was very disappointed. There were hardly any ingredients in it and the portion of noodles was also very small. The taste wasn't as good as before either. For the price and taste, it's definitely not worth coming here.

Unfortunately very unfriendly. Due to the fact that I didn't feel welcome and left the restaurant, I cannot comment on the quality of the food. I would have been happy to get to know your kitchen as a neighbor. Unfortunately, your staff did not behave appropriately. The tables at the front of the restaurant were well occupied at 6:30 p.m. on March 3, 24. All tables were free in the middle area, while there was still a single table in the back. The unfriendly service led me to the back of the restaurant to a single table. I asked him to sit in the middle area. Especially when you're alone, you want to be a little more involved in what's going on in the restaurant. A restaurant is characterized not only by the food and drinks, but also by its atmosphere and the mood of the guests. The man was not interested and informed me that I could only have the single table at the end of the room. He told me that all other tables were reserved. At the same time, a couple who hadn't made a reservation arrived and were immediately given a table as requested. However, I had the choice of accepting the table or leaving the restaurant. I don't understand how you can deal with new customers in a restaurant that hasn't been open for long. It seems as if people have forgotten the post-Corona period when they had to fight for every customer.

Really like this place and when I stay in Frankfurt I always try to eat here. Fantastic food, very fresh and tasty. I’ve tried a lot of dishes and each of them are super but I really like Bo Sot Me (Tamarind Beef) and Tom Rim Sa (Sautéed Lemongrass Prawns). Friendly and quick service and nice ambience (nothing fancy and it can get quite loud when it’s crowded)

I ordered out so I gave them a 5 for service and atmosphere by default. We ordered bun rieu and the sommerrolle. The bun rieu was mediocre to me and my family. If you’re wanting a traditional bun rieu, then this is not it. But if you just want a noodle soup dish, then it’s fine. The rieu cua tasted more ground meat than crab and is firm like a meatball. It was a tad salty from salt or seasoning powder/msg but it didn’t have the bun rieu aroma and taste profile. Overall, the presentation was good upon arrival. I can only speak for this dish and the rolls and it’s just “meh” to the family. Perhaps, other dishes are better.

Was looking for a good Pho in Farankfurt, found it!! Great noodles, light and fresh, and one of the better broths I've had! 5 stars

Man läuft schnell vorbei auf dem Weg zu einem Würstchen Anbieter in der Nähe. Ein Stopp lohnt sich aber. Wenn man das Restaurant betritt fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Das Restaurant entfaltet dann seinen Charme durch Einrichtung und Bilder. Das Essen ist frisch zu bereitet und schmeckt lecker. Geschmacklich guter Durchschnitt. Etliche Spezialitäten, wie der vietnamesische Café ( kalt oder warm, gesüßt) und das Dessert runden den Aufenthalt ab. Die Preise bewegen sich auf dem üblichen Frankfurter Niveau. Es gibt eine Tageskarte. Um die Mittagszeit sind sehr viele Gäste dort, wem es dann zu laut ist, der kann auf die Randzeiten ausweichen. Das Restaurant ist ab Mittag durchgehend geöffnet, man hat dann mehr Ruhe beim Gespräch. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, etwas zu bestellen und abzuholen. Der Aussenbereich sieht auch sehr gut aus. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man kann das Restaurant auch gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen. Als Autofahrer muss man wie überall in Frankfurt einen Parkplatz suchen. Geht aber auch, kostet Parkgebühr, zb auf einem Platz direkt neben dem Lokal.

Just had Vietnamese food for the 1st time, from the moment you open the door, the smell is lovely. The food was gorgeous, we had spring rolls, tamarind beef and meatballs soup, it was so tasty, I will definitely be trying Vietnamese food again.

Heute haben wir uns mit 6 Personen hier in dem Restaurant getroffen. Wir hatten 2 Barometerbücher dabei, was zunächst ein mittelschweres Problem darstellte, obwohl es eigentlich keins war. Im Barometerbuch gab es: 2x Softdrinks, 2 Hauptgerichte und 2 Mango-Cremes für EUR 20,-. In der Karte gab eine Handvoll Hauptgerichte mit den gleichen Grundbasen... Mal mit Huhn, Rind oder auch Tofu... Bestellt hatte ich als Hauptspeise : Cari Ga Xoai - Mango Chicken Curry Hähnchenbrustfilet in rotem Mango-Kokoscurry, abgeschmeckt mit Zitronengras,  mit Süßkartoffeln, Kartoffeln, Cashewkernen & dazu Duftreis  (scharf) regulär 13,20 EUR. Das Gericht war ok, hat mich aber nicht wirklich überzeugt. Die 3 enthaltenen Mango-Stücke waren hart und noch recht unreif, die Soße leider nicht scharf und ich hab genau 1 Cashewkernen gefunden. Die Mango-Creme als Nachtisch war ok. Was wir alle nicht gut fanden - Wir haben bestellt und nicht mal 5 Minuten später stand das Essen von uns auf dem Tisch. Wenn man dort sowieso in der Nähe ist, kann man dort mal hingehen, aber meiner Meinung nach verpasst man auch nichts, wenn man nicht da war.

Sehr löblich sind die täglich durchgehenden Öffnungszeiten von 11:30 bis 22:00 Uhr. Insgesamt angenehme location in einer spannden Gegend mit vielerlei Kultur und Gastronomie in der näheren Umgebung. Der Garten sieht äußerst einladend aus, heute passte das Wetter nur nicht dazu. Sehr faire Preise und bei voll besetztem Haus ringsum zufriedene Gesichter vor lecker aussehenden Gerichten. Ich hatte mich halt für das falsche entschieden, was dem Restaurant nicht negativ anzurechnen ist. Wollte mal wieder ein Curry probieren (Com Tron Bo von der Tageskarte: Rindersteakstreifen in gelbem Kokoscurry mit Karotten, Buschbohnen, Sojasprossen, Chinakohl auf Duftreis mit frischen Kräutern, Sesam, Erdnüssen, Röstzwiebeln für 13,90 €). Ein wenig fad, die Curry-Soße nicht mein Geschmack, aber die Rindfleischstreifen und die vielen Kräuter holten es wieder raus. Meine Erfahrung ist, dass man in vietnamesischen Restaurants mit „heimischen“ Gerichten wie lauwarmen Reisnudel-Gerichten oder Suppen besser beraten ist. Wir hatten für 7 Personen reserviert, für 12 Leute war Platz am Tisch, krankheitsbedingt konnten nur 6 Restauranttester teilnehmen. Ich trat 30 Minuten vor Termin schon ein. Der Service legte einen Stapel Speisekarten und 2 Becher mit Besteck auf den Tisch. Die Kerzen zündete ich selbst an. Nachdem ich ca. 40 Minuten lang nicht nach einem Getränkewunsch gefragt worden war, ging ich zur Theke mit dem ernst gemeinten Spruch: „Ich hätte in der Zeit schon 3 Cremönche getrunken“. Die junge Dame vom Service war sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber es mangelte wohl an Erfahrung und/oder Kompetenz. Auf die fehlende Getränkefrage wurde sich mit „ich wollte warten, bis alle zusammen bestellen“ entschuldigt. Dann gab es ein längeres „Gedöns“, weil 2 von uns mit Gutscheinheften kamen ….. Der Argumentation konnte ich nicht folgen, letztlich wurde man sich einig (vor allem wegen der Barzahlung, die ohnedies dort nur ab 15 € akzeptiert wird). Dafür kamen die bestellten Speisen in kürzester Zeit auf den Tisch. Die Sommerrollen waren tadellos, sogar mit der dazu gereichten Erdnuss-Soße (muss ja nicht immer die Limetten-Austern-Soße sein). Meine Vor- und Hauptspeise wurde zusammen gebracht, womöglich durch nicht präzise Kommunikation meinerseits. 0,1 l Cremant (5,50 €) und 0,2 l Riesling von Markus Molitor/Mosel für 7,50 € einwandfrei. Durchaus empfehlenswert (vor allem für jüngere Menschen, die sich gesund ernähren und zu guten Preisen satt werden wollen), auch wenn es für mich heute nicht ganz passte, sondern etwas ruckelig erschien.

Essen super lecker, schnell serviert, gut aussehend. Sehr schöne Ambiente, Mann kann auch im kleinen Garten hinten Essen. Alles kostengünstig. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Schöner Laden, nettes und schnelles Personal, Essen "so lala". Geschmacklich ok, Portionen für den Preis jedoch recht klein. Da gibt's z.B. in Neu-Isenburg einen besseren Vietnamesen.

Das Essen ist nicht gut. Ich hatte Magenschmerzen und später einen Durchwahl. Es ist nicht empfehlenswert. Est ist sehr traurig 😔

Beim Service hat es etwas an der Verständigung gehapert und ein Getränk ist nicht so gekommen, wie es sollte, aber insgesamt waren alle Personen super freundlich. Die Zutaten des Essens schmeckten richtig frisch und es war insgesamt sehr lecker. Zusammen mit dem sehr gelungenen Ambiente (wir haben draußen gesessen) ist das Comai absolut empfehlenswert.
