If you’re tried of German pub food or just don’t like it, then definitely try Codo. Also this is one of very few places in Old town, where you can find chicken. Despite place was so full, we got our food very quickly!

I was told it would take 10-15 minutes to take away. I only had it after 40 minutes. Very disrespectful treatment of the customer's time, just be honest that you can't estimate it and it might take longer!!

The view of the Zwinger from the terrace creates the basis for an atmosphere that is crowned by delicious food. Excellent Asian food from soup to wok to sushi - in my opinion also freshly prepared. The dessert with sesame balls in coconut soup is particularly recommended.

Despite making a reservation in advance, there is no table available and you are asked to wait. A reservation basically means something different...

The food was dripping with fat, full of glutamate and tasteless. But it came very quickly, maybe only took 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the quality was corresponding. The food was presented carelessly. The service was hardly noticeable.

We were there on August 8th. to 1o People in the restaurant. There are no complaints about the food. So far everything is ok. What bothered us, however, was that the service brought everything to the table quickly after the first order. But that was it. We often had to ask when we could order and get something to drink again. Simply ask more often whether the guests would like to drink or order something else... And keep an eye on the toilets. Nice atmosphere and delicious food, although the dessert menu could be expanded. The service leaves a lot to be desired. You literally have to call waiters over and spot them in good time because they walk past you or do their thing. Not once was we asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. We had to call a waiter for each process, i.e. to order, to order the desserts, to clear the dishes and for the bill. The empty dishes were sometimes left standing for 20 minutes without being cleared away on their own. All in all a good restaurant but you should really work on the competence of the employees. After all, we are in a restaurant and not a fast food joint.

Unfortunately for me not a second time - seating distribution was catastrophic. When you're finally seated, you feel like you're sitting in the counter hall - pure canteen flair. Mass processing. Eating is therefore really quick - you want more class... instead of just quantity.

Had vegetarian and salmon sushi, very tasty and beautifully presented. As drinks, homemade lemonade, one good (passion fruit), one not so much (peach). Very friendly staff, food came very quickly, despite the store being almost fully booked. Overall we felt very comfortable.

Spring roll and soup was flavorful

Hello, we ate at Codo for the first time and we thought it was fantastic. It was so good that we didn't try anything else in Dresden and ate there two evenings in a row and everything we ate was really very good. The service was very nice and the price performance ratio is really good. Unfortunately, we discovered that this chain only exists in Dresden, so if you're ever in Dresden you should have eaten here!!!

We had the hotpot menu 2, which was very tasty. It's important to order in advance and if you're not that hungry, 3 of them will be full 😃

The food is very tasty, whether sushi or other dishes. The service is generally great, the guys are very nice. It was just a challenge to get a new drink because no one came to us and saw that a glass was empty. There's just a lot going on. We recommend ordering especially on weekends. It's not possible to eat outside when it's raining and it's very loud inside. The room is very poorly soundproofed or absorbent, which makes staying there stressful at times. Otherwise great.

The food was dry and the noodles under all criticism. Tasted like a bad home cooked dish and no one in the party could bring themselves to eat the food. The curry was disgustingly sweet and tasted more like sugar than food. The other chicken stew had a curry that was slimy and geléig, not good at all.

Friendly and quick. Reasonably priced. Unfortunately the duck was very dry and the sauce was from the supermarket. There are much better Asian restaurants there.

Nicely located place, unfortunately the food is bland and boring. Dry and uninspired tastes. I’ve been spoiled by the fantastic Vietnamese food in Berlin, unfortunately Dresden doesn’t deliver. Shame on me for choosing to eat in an Old Town - mistake I always regret making.

amazing sushi platter, good and friendly service

I ate there twice and was really impressed. Slightly Germanized dish but super tasty. One day I had a dish from the menu and the next day I had 2 hot pots with 4 colleagues. It was an experience worth repeating. Card payment possible. Price performance more than great. Service was consistent. I'll be back.

Were here for the first time. Very tasty food and friendly staff. Best sushi I've ever eaten.

In my opinion, there is the best sushi in all of Dresden here. Nigiri and maki are always filled with plenty of toppings/filling. I've ordered sushi in many other restaurants, but none come close to the portion sizes of Codo Postplatz. In contrast to most other sushi providers, they don't skimp on fish here. The taste is always at least good, but often very good. Even after numerous orders, there were never any serious problems with the quality. The restaurant is represented on Lieferando, Uber Eats and Wolt. I always like to order from Codo, especially from Codo Postplatz.

The drivers who deliver the food are a disaster. The car and moped drivers cut across the busy footpath on Wilsdruffer Straße when traffic was at a standstill and when asked about their misconduct they were not aware of any guilt.

Had two lunches here at this location of the restaurant. Ordered the coconut creamy chicken curry with rice and beef with veggie and rice. Both were quite tasty. The food was served very fast. The staff members were efficient and welcoming. It's a good lunch spot when you visit the surrounding historic sites and need a lunch break.

We were there for lunch on a Tuesday. Service was very nice and quick. Food excellent. The restaurant is located in a small street right next to the Zwinger. Price-performance is completely okay. 👍 I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes Asian dishes. We'd love to come back.

Always a good place for Vietnamese food! It's best to reserve in advance, otherwise it can be difficult to get a place, especially in the evening. The restaurant is always very busy!

The staff was a bit overwhelmed given the very full restaurant. It took quite a long time before we could even order. But the delicious food made up for it. It was pleasantly inexpensive compared to many other places in the neighborhood.

Had reservations, which is particularly recommended on Sundays and public holidays. The food tasted very good and was also pleasing to the eye. Portion size was sufficient. Price/performance was ok. Unfortunately our table was smeared and full of crumbs. When asked, it was wiped with a damp cloth but not dried. The crumbs were simply wiped onto the floor. The menus were smeared and scuffed. The furniture was already worn here and there. Food wow. Ambience needs improvement.

The service was quick and good. The food tasted very tasty and the portions were plentiful. All in all a nice evening.

Food was very tasty, we had edamame and summer rolls with chicken as starters. As a main course a Codo Burger with sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were perfect, I found the burger a bit dry, but still tasty. The lemonades are also very good :) Unfortunately we sat in the aisle and that made it not so pleasant at times. The background noise was also very loud and it felt like we were shouting at you. All in all, still recommended.

Today we tried having the food delivered from you and were very disappointed. Sushi was poorly assembled, partially falling apart and in disarray. The baked starter platter for 12 euros was unfortunately also very disappointing. We completely missed dim sum, everything was very bland.

Ate here at Postplatz today. I had a Pho Bo and was disappointed. The meat was partly gristly and there was no trace of the promised coriander. The taste didn't convince me either. I've eaten much better pho in this price range. The other meal, Mi Vit (fried noodles with crispy duck and vegetables) was also disappointing. Duck was crispy but poorly seasoned. The vegetables consisted of a few pieces of carrot. So these two dishes didn't have much to do with Vietnamese cuisine. We have eaten much better in this price range.

Nice restaurant near Postplatz in Dresden's old town. Large selection at reasonable prices, especially the lunch specials are worth it. Otherwise there is little to complain about, it could be full in the evenings, so there are slightly longer waiting times or you should make a reservation.

Had reserved a table for three people for 6:30 p.m., were then asked to wait a short while, and at 7 p.m. we were still waiting. We were promised a free drink as compensation in between, but we didn't see any of that either :-( We finally left hungry shortly after 7 p.m. Very disappointing!

Unfortunately, despite the reservation, which the staff was also aware of, they kept being put off for 35 minutes that the table would be ready soon. Didn't get a compensation offer and ended up changing location disappointed and hungry. The food is supposed to be good, but the planning and organization were not.

We were in Dresden for a weekend and the Codo was around the corner from our hotel. We had summer rolls twice with chicken and marinated pork. Both very good and large rolls, especially the one with pork was very aromatic. Afterwards we had Bun Bo, large portion and very tasty. The Fritz drinks are positive. However, the sparkling water for €6 came from the SodaStream and was therefore quite expensive. The rest was normal to favorable in our eyes. It's a shame we live so far away, otherwise we would come regularly.

That's food was ok so far, nothing special. The staff was friendly.

Maybe we had a bad day. Vegetables, meat and rice were okay, the sauces that gave the whole thing its unique taste tasted like the cheapest ready-made product from a discount store. Red curry was basically warmed up sweet and sour sauce.

Very tasty food, huge selection and nice staff I would highly recommend it

The food is very good, especially sushi, the salads are really good. The other bowls and dishes are also good. What I didn't like is the very messy 🚽 🚾 toilet. No paper, no working soap. Furthermore, I find it unhygienic when the waiter touches the plate with his fingers within the eating area. This is also due to the special dishes. Then a tablet should be used if there is no edge to the plate. Food really top notch. The rest needs to catch up.

Looks better that its taste ;-( dont have pictures of all. The edamame was Old. And we still had to pay for it. And the meet in the soap had a lot of fat. So we did not it at all. Only the tartar was good

Very fast and extremely friendly service in a nice atmosphere, with delicious (also GLUTEN FREE!!!) dishes. We showed up around 5 p.m. without a reservation and were immediately seated for two. The drinks and appetizers arrived in less than 10 minutes and the service was friendly and helpful. I am very sensitive to gluten and have no reaction after eating. We liked the food, perhaps the Pho could have been a little stronger in taste, but I don't have any comparisons or they were a long time ago. Price-performance completely satisfactory

1.5 hour delivery time is a tough number, but then managing to arrive another 30 minutes late is less fun. Unfortunately, no one answers the phone either. Top performance!

This is the first time it happened to me in Europe that after I payed the bill, a waiter told me that a tip is not included in the bill. The service was not at all exceptional, and the food was ok, but that comment really made it bad.

Great service, very good lunch menu selection and great prices. There were 3 of us and we were a bit hungry after visiting the kennel. The amount of food was more than enough and the visual and taste impression was great. There was free green tea for everyone. For 3 dishes including drinks €33 an unbeatable price. The service was very attentive and quick. We'd love to come back.

Came from another country and was looking for a restaurant where I could eat. I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dining here was a delight from start to finish. Everything was so so good!! 😮‍💨 The quality of food, friendly and cute customer service that often interested in my needs and also the prices are acceptable.

We ordered dinner from Codo today. Unfortunately, it was a total failure. I had a soup with beef. Unfortunately the beef was completely fatty. There was almost no meat on it but a lot of fat. Unfortunately, the taste of the soup was also very bad. The soup didn't taste like anything. Unfortunately I am very disappointed and will not order from them again.

We were very happy with our visit here. Were here in the afternoon, it was very crowded but luckily after around 2 a lot of people left and you could finally enjoy the peace and quiet. Service was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was pleasant and we felt comfortable here. Good selection of wine and also very attractive in terms of price, tasted good. All dishes were very tasty and beautifully prepared, perfect. Small negative point - unfortunately there was no network or WiFi in the restaurant. Otherwise everything was fine.

Well, lesson learnt. If a friend does not recommend an eatery, do listen. I was hungry for lunch, Vietnamese is one of my favourites. Still, with all these numerous positive reviews, more than 1500, how do people review restaurants? Going for lunch or dinner alone should be totally acceptable and not a nuisance like I felt to be stuffed into the back far left corner next to the toilets. The waitress didn't even wait for me, so I could ask to switch tables just to a really slightly bigger table in the sun. There were plenty of tables for couples, friends and groups. Then, unfortunately quite a few of their dishes like Bo Luc lac or swimming noodles weren't available. I then went for her recommendation of another beef and veggie dish but instead of rice, I'd asked if it was possible to swap it for rice noodles. Well, after a few sentences of misunderstandings, no, I did actually understand it correctly, she pointed out, I'd have to pay an extra 3,10 euros for the swap. Makes absolutely no sense, I'm from gastro industry and yes, happy to pay a swap fee but not double the amount of the side dish. My food came in exactly five minutes after I ordered, so it was no surprise that I could see through the window to the kitchen that there were stacked plates of at least eight dishes ready with the rice on it. They prepare it in advance which understandably makes the food Luke warm and completely not fresh. The rice was overcooked not really nice. Generally all main dishes look like a soup of some sauce with some sort of vegetable or some sort of meat on the side a pyramid of rice which has been sitting there for a long time. Additionally the box with the cutlery and serviettes she brought had dirty used serviettes. The music reminds me of club ambiance and way too loud. People are raising their voices to talk to each other. I'd prefer a conversation with a friend over getting amped up to go dancing. The whole ambiance with the full on decoration reminds me of the themed restaurants at big family and holiday mass hotels. Not again. No thanks. Remember this is my experience.

Lemongrass beef rice and fried duck rice with hoisin were good enough. Popular joint, expect to make a reservation prior to coming.
